Full Moon

This is the full-color version of the double-page spread from the previous page, featuring the chapter title 'Chapter 152 "Full Moon"'. The 'ONE PIECE' logo is prominent. Usopp is perched in a tree, aiming his slingshot at a blue bird. Luffy sits on a blue plaid couch, eating a large piece of meat. Chopper sits next to him, reading a green book titled 'MEDICINA'. A massive St. Bernard dog lies on the grass. Vivi sits in front of the dog, reading a book, while Karoo the duck sits beside her with his beak wide open. A single panel shows Dalton standing alone in the snow. He is heavily injured, covered in dark bruises and cuts, with blood dripping from his face. He wears a thick winter coat and looks down with a grim, exhausted expression. The wind blows snow heavily around him.

A ropeway car travels up a steep, snow-covered mountain towards the castle at the summit. At the base of the ropeway, a group of armed men gather. One man in armor steps forward and says, 'I'll go ahead and scout out the situation first.' Another man tells the group, 'The rest of you can come after that.' The ropeway mechanism clanks with a loud 'GAKON...!!' sound. In the snowy landscape below, Zoro trudges through the deep snow. He wears a dark coat but his chest is bare, and he is shivering violently. He stammers, 'I'm n-n-not s-scared!' A voice from off-panel yells, 'Jeez, if you're that scared, just wait back with the others!' Zoro retorts, 'I'm backing you up!' The voice replies, 'Stop pushing!'

Luffy's face fills the top panel as he screams at the top of his lungs, 'AAAAAHHHHH! ORYAAAAAAA-'. Below, Zoro and Usopp are walking up the snowy path towards the castle. Usopp is bundled up in heavy winter gear. They hear the yell and look up. A voice from above shouts, 'WHAT!?' Zoro looks up and casually says, 'Oh hey, Zoro, Usopp.' Zoro yells back, 'LUFFY!'. In the bottom panel, a wide shot of the castle shows Luffy stretching his arms incredibly far back, anchoring himself to the castle towers like a giant slingshot. He yells 'GYAAAAA!' as he prepares to launch himself.

Luffy launches himself and lands face-first in the snow right next to Zoro and Usopp. He sits up laughing, 'UHAHAHA'. Usopp, startled, yells, 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?' Luffy smiles and says, 'Sorry about that. Your clothes made you look like the enemy from a distance. So you guys hiked up here too?' Usopp boasts, 'Hahaha, don't be stupid. I'm the kind of guy who just climbs mountains because they're there. This one was a bit of a doozy but nothing the great Usopp couldn't handle.' Zoro looks at Usopp and says, 'Usopp, I thought you said you weren't gonna hike?' Luffy asks, 'Are Nami and Sanji alright!?' Zoro replies, 'Yup, they're all better now!' Luffy smiles, 'Oh that's a relief.' Usopp continues his tall tale, 'On our way up, we were attacked by a giant condor. 'Course, I was a little surprised at first but I instinctively sprang into action!' Zoro ignores him and asks Luffy, 'So what've you been up to since coming up here?' Luffy grins and says, 'I sent their king flying.'

Usopp continues his exaggerated story, gesturing wildly. 'After missing, the condor tried to fly back up but I, the great captain, would not allow such a thing! I quickly threw a lasso around its neck and as I tightened it, I yelled, "My name is Captaaaain Usopp!"' Zoro ignores him completely and asks Luffy, 'Then... that thing flying through the air just a moment ago... was really Wapol!?' Luffy asks, 'What about his two servants!?' Zoro replies, 'Beat Chess and Kuromarimo?' Luffy says, 'The reindeer...' Zoro repeats, 'The reindeer...' Luffy suddenly remembers and smiles widely, 'Oh that's right. Guys, guys. I found us a new crewmate.' Usopp is shocked, 'WHAT!?' In the bottom panel, Zoro hears footsteps in the snow ('ZAKU... ZAKU...') and turns his head, looking surprised as he spots someone approaching.

Zoro stares at the approaching figure, who is Chopper in his large, muscular Heavy Point form. Zoro notices his face and says, 'A blue nose...?' He suddenly remembers a past encounter, shown in a small flashback panel where Chopper was carrying someone. Zoro realizes, 'You're... the one from back then...!?' Zoro smiles slightly, understanding the situation. 'I see... He fought for the sake of this country...!' Zoro then turns towards the castle, bows his head respectfully, and shouts loudly, 'THANK YOU! I'm sure Drum can finally be born anew now!' Luffy and Usopp stand nearby, watching Zoro's sudden outburst.

Luffy looks confused by Zoro's shouting, a question mark appearing next to his head. Chopper, still in his large form, also looks bewildered. Usopp suddenly points at Chopper in absolute terror, sweating profusely. 'T-There's a weird creature over there! A reindeer? No, it's... It's a... m-m-mon...' Zoro glares at Usopp and yells, 'Stop your yelling at once!' Usopp ignores him and screams at the top of his lungs, his face contorted in fear, 'MONSTEEEEEER! AAAAAAAAH!'

Chopper is terrified by Usopp's screaming and runs away in a panic, yelling 'AHHH!' Usopp continues to scream. Luffy angrily yells at Usopp, 'Dumbass! That's our new crewmate I found! But he ran away because you scared him off!' Usopp is shocked, 'WHAT!? THAT!?' Chopper, now transformed back into his small, cute Brain Point form, runs away crying, 'GYAAAAAAA!' Luffy chases after him, yelling, 'Stop right there, you monster!' Chopper thinks, 'UHH...' Suddenly, a voice from behind Zoro and Usopp says, 'Well hello, folks.' Zoro and Usopp jump in surprise, yelling 'AGHHH!' as they turn around to see who is there.

Dr. Kureha stands before them, holding a bottle of alcohol and smiling menacingly. Usopp stammers in fear, 'D-D-D-D... DOCTOR KUREHA!' Kureha says, 'Feelin' happy, pappies? Why don't you bring over any wounded to the patient rooms inside.' She adds, 'And by that, I mean everyone.' Zoro and Usopp immediately stand at attention and salute, 'Y-YES, MA'AM!' Kureha says, 'It's better for you to recover fully before setting off, you know.' Inside the castle, Sanji and Nami are peeking out from a doorway. Sanji whispers urgently, 'Be quiet! If we don't escape now, we'll be another 2 whole days behind in our plan to arrive in Alabasta!' Nami adds, 'You also don't want to see Vivi suffer any more than she has already, right!?' Suddenly, Kureha appears right behind them and delivers a brutal kick to Sanji's back. 'I SAID GET BACK TO THE PATIENT ROOMS!' Sanji screams in agony.

An exterior shot of the castle shows screams echoing from inside. 'GAHHHHHH! AAAGHHHHH! AAAAAAAAH!' Inside, Sanji is lying face down on a bed, groaning in pain. Kureha walks away from him, taking a swig from her bottle. 'Hee hee hee. His back's in even worse shape like I thought. It's his own damn fault for running around while still injured.' Zoro and Usopp stand nervously by the door. Kureha then approaches Dalton, who is resting in another bed. She asks him, 'Dalton... you don't happen to know where the key to this castle's armoury is, do you...?' Dalton looks confused and replies, 'The armoury? Why would you even want the key to that?'

Dalton explains, 'Wapol's always kept that key with him at all times, so I would imagine it's disappeared into the sky along with him...' Kureha takes another drink and says, 'What does it matter to you?' She sighs, 'Well, that's troublesome...' Nami, sitting on a nearby bed and fully dressed in her winter clothes, speaks up. 'Doctress... About the treatment fee for me and my crewmates... Can I get you to waive it off? Oh, and allow us to leave right away as well, okay?' Kureha looks at her, 'Hm?' Kureha glares and says, 'Is that supposed to be some sort of bad joke? I'll not only be taking all the money you have but also whatever else you've got on your ship as treatment costs. Also, you're not leaving anywhere for another 2 whole days, missy.' Sanji, still lying down, says, 'Listen to the doctor, Nami! We have to make sure you're back to full health before-' Nami interrupts, 'It's fine. I don't feel like I'm on the verge of death anymore. That's not medically-sound proof that you're healthy now!'

Nami smiles confidently and holds up a key with a skull design on the bow. 'The key to the armoury... You need this, don't you?' Dalton is shocked, 'WHA!? HOW IN THE WORLD!?' Kureha is equally surprised, 'IS THAT THE REAL KEY? HOW DID YOU GET IT?' Nami simply replies, 'I swiped it.' Kureha smirks, 'Forcing me to accept your ridiculous demands... You've sure got some guts for a little girl.' Nami chuckles, 'Fu fu.' Kureha turns away and says, '...Fine, I'll waive off your treatment bills.' Nami immediately counters, 'But! I won't accept your second condition.' Kureha snaps back, 'I can't allow it as a doctor. What, no! Hey, give that key back then!'

Kureha walks towards the door, pointing back at Nami. 'Listen up, missy. I'm going to leave this room for a while to take care of some business. In the inner room over there, you can find my coat, and there won't be anyone standing guard. Also, I've finished fixing up your other friend's dislocated back.' She looks over her shoulder with a menacing grin and says, 'But don't you dare, use my absence to escape!' She steps out and slams the door shut with a 'BATAN...'. Nami smiles knowingly. 'So... she wants me to grab her coat, take Sanji, and get out already...' Dalton looks utterly bewildered. Nami says, 'Y-Yeah... that's how I heard it too...' Nami turns to Zoro and Usopp, 'The rest of you, come with me. I need you to lend me a hand.' They salute nervously, 'Y-YES, MA'AM!'

Outside in the snowy night, Luffy is running around the castle grounds, yelling, 'HEEEEY, REINDEEEER!' Chopper is hiding behind a snow-covered wall, panting heavily. He thinks to himself, 'I've been running around for a while now... It's already night-time... Hmm, it's a full moon tonight...' Luffy continues to shout, 'You still lookin' for him? LET'S GO BE PIRATES TOGETHEEEERRR!' Zoro is sitting in the snow nearby and tells Luffy, 'Give it up already, Luffy. He's not just gonna show up no matter how much you yell. He must not want to be a pirate.' Luffy stubbornly replies, 'No, you're wrong! I've already decided to bring him along! And that's your opinion, not his!' Chopper, still hiding, thinks, 'It's not that I don't want to go but...' Luffy yells again, 'REINDEEERRR!' Chopper thinks sadly, 'But I can't...! I can't go!'

Chopper steps out from behind the snowy wall with a 'ZA...'. Luffy spots him and happily yells, 'AH! REINDEER!' Luffy throws his arms up in excitement, 'Let's go be pirates together!' Chopper looks down and says, 'No, we're too different...! It's impossible...' Luffy is confused and asks, 'What d'ya mean it's impossible!? It's super duper fun!' Usopp sweatdrops and says, 'That's not what he means...' Chopper looks up and says, 'I'm... thankful for you helping us out!' Nami, standing nearby with Zoro and Usopp, looks at him softly and says, 'Chopper...'

Chopper continues, his voice filled with emotion. 'But I'm... a reindeer! I have horns... hooves...! And my nose is even blue...!' Nami watches him with a sympathetic expression. Inside the castle, Dr. Kureha is seen watching them from a window. A small flashback bubble shows Chopper asking Kureha, 'Can you treat his heart...?'. Chopper says, 'I do... want to be a pirate but...!' He then yells out, tears forming in his eyes, 'But I'm not human! I'm a monster! So I can't become pirates with you! That's why... I've come here to just say thanks!' Nami thinks to herself, 'Though I'll be staying here, maybe one day, I'll...' Chopper finishes, 'Thank you, for inviting me along.'

A large splash panel shows Luffy standing in the snow, stretching his arms wide and throwing his head back. He screams at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing across the snowy courtyard, 'OH JUST SHUT UP AND COME WITH US ALREADY!' Chopper is stunned, tears streaming down his face. Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji are all standing nearby, smiling warmly at the scene. Zoro remarks, 'Since when is "shut up" an invitation?' Overwhelmed with emotion, Chopper cries out happily, 'OKAY!'
