Frontispiece request for Chapter 934, "Hyogoro of the Flowers": Usopp chats with a cockatiel perched on his nose. The request is credited to pen name Noda Skywalker. This is official extra art and not part of the main Wano plot, but it clearly features Usopp.

On the seas near Wano, the Big Mom Pirates remain stranded after being pushed off the waterfall. Perospero says, "We're in a pretty pickle, Perorin!" and someone mutters, "Of all places..." Their ship survived only by miracle, and they cannot approach while King protects the skies. Since Big Mom fell from the ship at the top of the waterfall, the crew has no choice but to wait. Perospero checks her vivre card and finds it still intact, which means she is still alive. Even that is called a miracle.

The Big Mom Pirates debate what could have happened to their captain. Some devil fruit users drowned, and someone asks whether she may have been picked up by an enemy, even by Kaido. The idea shocks them: "Huh?! By Kaido?!" They reason that if she did land in enemy territory, she would eventually be captured. Someone says Kaido will probably kill her, because although Big Mom and Kaido have been allies in the past, they are now both Yonko enemies. The crew jokes nervously about succession, with one saying the next captain will obviously be Katakuri and another insisting succession is determined by birth order. Smoothie cuts through the nonsense: "Quit killing off Mama! She'll definitely come back! Quit trying to apply normal logic to her!"

At Kuri's Braided Hat Village, people react to the news that Big Mom is traveling with the others. Someone shouts, "Big Mom?" and another says she is a very strong outsider. O-Tama's group has already turned the situation toward Udon. They tell her to get back to Amigasa Village, but O-Tama refuses: "Get back here at once, O-Tama! I'll listen to your explanations later!" and "Turn into a voyage to the perilous Udon!" Momonosuke calls out from hiding, and Tama promises, "I'll protect Momo! As a kunoichi!!" Kiku says Kinemon specifically entrusted her with keeping Momonosuke safe, while Hitetsu is ordered to return with Tama. Kiku says this will not do and tells everyone else that they have already departed, so they must let the others know what happened.
Across the Kuri Wastelands, Big Mom rides on the tamed crocodile creature with the others. Someone says, "You just said the words 'Big Mom'... I feel like I've heard them somewhere..." but Big Mom, still amnesiac, laughs it off because she does not even know who she is. O-Tama explains that the people of Leftover Town were all poor and could not give any food for the road, but they were kind. Chopper mutters that her talking hat has been silent the whole time and wonders whether it lost its memories too. Big Mom only cares about food, saying, "I hope we get to Udon soon. I'm so hungry..." Chopper snaps, "Quit looking at me while drooling!"

Kiku shows an approximate map of Wano Country. She explains that they are in Kuri and heading to Udon, but Udon is rather far. The six villages are separated into huge regions by rivers, and the lands and climate all vary greatly. To reach Udon, they have to cross a river as well. The map marks Kuri, Kibi, the Flower Capital, Ringo, Hakumai, and Udon, including places such as Bakura Town, Leftover Town, Ebisu Town, Onigashima, the Prisoner's Mine, Habu Harbor, and the Northern Graveyards. Big Mom complains, "Don't look at me!!" while the group continues toward Udon.

Momonosuke trains on the crocodile's back, declaring, "I must be vigilant! I must be! For I am at the center of this conflict!" Tama praises him: "You are very diligent, Momo!" Then he swings and shouts "Snaaatch!!" Kiku immediately asks where he learned that shout. Momonosuke says he learned it from Zorojuro, who called it a magic word that would still the trembling heart when courage is lacking. Kiku explains that "Snatch" is a shout from outside the country, though Kuri has a similar shout in the old dialect. She forbids Momonosuke from saying it anymore, telling him it is certainly not a word he should use.
In Wano's Ringo region, among the Northern Graveyards, Nami says the town was in a total frenzy and that it was scary. Brook worries about O-Toko being sent to the red-light district, but Shinobu says that because the child has incurred the shogun's wrath, even Orochi will not chase around a little child now. They discuss Kyoshiro, whose name means nothing to them, but Shinobu remembers that twenty years ago the boss of the Wano yakuza was a man called Hyogoro of the Flowers. Because Kyoshiro now controls the basic daily necessities in the Flower Capital, Shinobu says they need to disguise themselves and drink hot water, then decides a break would be lovely. Nami suggests checking on Robin and taking a trip to the baths while they are at it.
Robin reports what she learned in Orochi Castle, though she is ashamed that she gained so little information during the mission. She learned that Orochi will wake up on the day of battle, that Kaido's organization chart and the banquet will begin with a ranked member chart, and that the contents of the tribute will be carried to Onigashima by the shogun's procession. She did find a poneglyph, but it was not the red stone. Brook says Nami is always fortunate with stones, and Robin says she unfortunately could not copy it this time. Based on her search, she believes the Road Poneglyph is probably at Onigashima, behind a very strong door in a basement room filled with strange wooden dolls lined everywhere.

In the Flower Capital, rumors spread through the streets: top courtesan Komurasaki is dead, and Kyoshiro was the one who cut her down. Some cry that the idol of the country is gone, while others say they never even saw her face because she was too far a dream. There are also rumors about ghosts in the rot, awakened by the lightning strike. In Ebisu Town, Sanji breaks down sobbing over Komurasaki's death despite only meeting her once. He cries, "Komura-saaakiiii!!!" while someone asks why he is crying when he only met her once.

Usopp, Franky, and Law discuss the news in Ebisu Town. Usopp holds up a "smartsnail," a mobile transponder snail, Wano's version of a den den mushi, and suggests contacting the others with it. Sanji asks about the women's bath and whether anyone has news about Luffytaro. Franky says they should meet up with him soon, because he is probably about to blow his fuse from impatience. Law hears something more important: there is news about Eustass Kid. He asks why the news says nothing about "Strawhat," but something about Eustass Kid. Law explains that Kid was allied with Hawkins, so it should not be too surprising, but now he is in a completely different position because he broke out of prison.

At Wano's Udon Prisoner's Mine, guards announce that prisoner Eustass Kid has escaped and call for anyone who aided him or has information to come forward. They mock the escape as poorly planned because Kid did not even get his Seastone handcuffs off, and they promise to catch him soon enough and give him a world of pain, saying he is getting the death penalty. Nearby, Gaoler Alpaca Smile approaches Luffy and asks whether he helped Kid, since they often talked. The gaoler spits while talking and reminds Luffy that one infraction cuts off both arms, while showing defiance may get both legs cut off. Luffy recoils, calling it gross, and someone shouts for the guards to stop because Luffy will die.

The guards assault old Hyogoro over his food tickets. They accuse him of cheating because prisoners only get to eat as much as they work, and if they cannot work, they must starve to death. Hyogoro crawls toward his fallen kibi dango, calling them "my precious," and tries to eat. The guards demand to know how he obtained so many tickets, then beat him and order him to spit the food out. Hyogoro refuses: "That man gave these dango to me... I'll never spit it out! I won't spit out a single one!" The gaolers curse him, saying he has no right to eat.

Luffy is enraged by Hyogoro's resolve. The old man says he will never reveal who gave him the tickets, even if it kills him, and Luffy thinks that Hyogoro sticks to his morals, saves the weak, and stands up to idiots in power. After seeing that heroism, Luffy feels he has to follow suit or it would shame him. Hyogoro remembers the old days when men like him were commonplace and when meeting such a man would bring back feelings from youth. He thinks this is the land of the samurai, but they were complacent and were all killed. Luffy rushes in despite people warning him not to hit a jailer, because he will be sentenced to death and cannot win against the guards in power.

Luffy strikes Alpacaman and sends him flying, telling Hyogoro, "Don't make me cry more..." The prison erupts as the guards shout, "Queen!! Queen!!" and order the gate opened. The entrance to Udon groans open with massive animals and smoke, and someone asks whether it does not sound noisy inside. The guards announce, "Top performer, the Great Queen, has arrived!" Queen enters with a massive presence, and the chapter ends as the prison prepares for a new escalation.
