Usopp yells, "Doffy!" from below, and Law's allies watch in tense silence. Then part of the rampart tower is suddenly sent flying toward them with a "FWOOOM" sound effect. The page opens on the aftermath of Law's counterattack and immediately shifts into a new danger from the collapsing battlefield.

Doflamingo flicks a finger, and the falling rampart tower flies toward Law and the others. Law reacts, while Trebol says, "Whoa! Heeey! Rampart tower is... flying towards us!" Doflamingo catches the huge debris in a net of strings and calls the technique "Spider's Web!" The web stretches across the broken tower and holds it in place. Trebol looks up with a small "Hm?" while Doflamingo clenches and holds the mass steady. The page shows Doflamingo effortlessly converting a collapsing tower into another string technique.

Doflamingo holds the debris aloft in the Spider's Web while stone blocks and architectural pieces crash around him. Law watches, bloodied and panting, as Doflamingo swings the trapped rubble and sends it crashing back down with massive impact sounds. The page is mostly visual action: falling stone, string webbing, and the force of Doflamingo's control filling the battlefield with debris.

Law uses "Shambles!" to reposition in the chaos, with the visible split of the word continuing as "MES!" across the panel. He lands a direct slash or blow on Doflamingo, sending impact marks across Doflamingo's body. Doflamingo remains composed and tells Law, "Quit throwing the same, useless attacks at me. Look at you, chomping... at the bit like a wild stallion." Law stares back, grim and silent. The page shows Law still attacking but Doflamingo treating his anger as predictable.

Doflamingo tells Law that if he truly wished to kill him, he should never have abandoned his plan to pit Doflamingo and Kaido against one another. He says there are countless ways to dispose of an enemy beyond one's own reach, but the moment Law laid his feelings about Corazon bare, his death was guaranteed. Doflamingo asks whether Law remembers the document from back then, recalling Vergo thanking Law and promising to take care of it, and Corazon saying, "With this, we can save a country known as Dressrosa." Doflamingo frames Law's present failure as the result of emotional attachment to Corazon.

Doflamingo says Corazon was trying to save this very country itself. From the high battlefield the whole Birdcage-covered Dressrosa is visible. Doflamingo taunts Law that if he had not completely screwed the pooch that day, this country might have been spared the rain of tragedy that has blanketed it all this time. Law remains pained but focused, and Doflamingo asks, "Do you, yourself, really think so?" He then laughs and says Law is still level-headed and that this is a shrewd point. The page makes Dressrosa itself the proof Doflamingo uses against Law and Corazon's failed mission.

Doflamingo says he will say it himself: regardless of what that document may have revealed, he would have simply changed his plans and taken the throne anyway. The mission Corazon risked his life to complete was, in the end, all for naught. Doflamingo says, "Everything I do on this planet, until my death... all of it... will just be seen through the deeds left to me by Cora-san!" He mocks the idea that every tragedy and error is destiny, insisting that the reality is simply that events have already occurred and cannot be changed. He also lists the facts that Law ate the Ope Ope no Mi and ran off, and that Law began baring his fangs at him on Punk Hazard. The page is Doflamingo's fatalistic lecture: facts matter because they are already real.

Trebol gleefully intervenes, laughing, "Behe~! He fucking did it! Behehehehe!" He uses "Jigsaw!" with a translator note explaining that the Japanese word for coping saw is literally "thread saw." The attack slices or tears through Law, leaving him screaming "UWAAAAAAGGGGHHHH!" and sprawled in blood. Doflamingo laughs that Law was influenced by another D, but the fact that Law came here too is already immutable: "Fact!" Law, still defiant despite the wound, says, "And so, I shall forgive you!" The page shifts the duel from words back into brutal injury.

Law answers Doflamingo's fatalism with his own line: "Just as I forgave my father and brother... with the embrace of death." Doflamingo says that to finish Law off, there really is not a more fitting bullet than a lead one. Law curses, "Fuck!" and Doflamingo fires "Jet Gatling!" down at him, blasting the ground around Law with repeated gunfire. Law and Trebol watch as the bullets rain into the broken battlefield. The page brings the White City and Amber Lead tragedy back into the method of Doflamingo's execution attempt.

Doflamingo discovers he has been shooting a substitute. He shouts, "Mingo! Show your friggin' face!" at what turns out to be "Shadow Doffy," while someone from below notes that something is coming up from below. Trebol laughs, "Beeee! Hehehe! Shadow Doffy's in tatters!" Doflamingo says his cage was a little too cramped to keep something like that cooped up. Below, Luffy struggles with Bellamy, who is still fighting under Doflamingo's influence. Luffy calls, "Bellamy! Quit it!" as Bellamy attacks and pants, "HAA-HAA." The page pivots from Law's apparent execution to Bellamy being used as the next obstacle.

Luffy yells, "Oi! Mingo! Stop Bellamy! He's gonna die!" Doflamingo looks down and asks Bellamy, "So you're still wasting air down there, eh, Bellamy?" Bellamy, badly bloodied and barely upright, answers, "Eh, why the hell not." Luffy calls, "Ah! Bellamy!" as Bellamy rises again. The page shows Bellamy deliberately continuing even though both Luffy and Doflamingo know he is near death.

Luffy tells Bellamy, "That's more than enough, Bellamy. I'll set you free. Free as you used to be." The chapter cuts to Bellamy's past in the town of Notice in North Blue. A young Bellamy says, "We wanna become a pirate crew like your guys!" and explains that they are from Notice, a wealthy town where all of them are from, but they are bored of it. He admires the Donquixote Family as the pride of North Blue and says he will bequeath a symbol to someone if they lose it and have to give it back. The flashback shows Bellamy's old dream of joining Doflamingo, setting up why Luffy cannot simply dismiss him as a puppet.

Back in the present, Doflamingo says, "I do not have time to coddle feeble underlings! We won't lose to anyone!" and remembers Bellamy saying the age of pirates chasing silly dreams is over. Luffy kneels beside Bellamy and asks, "You okay!? You're definitely not okay, huh..." Bellamy says he has no more grudges against Luffy. Doflamingo asks, "Joker wants me to kill Straw Hat? So you've still got a chance, eh, Bellamy? That's good to know." Robin notes, "You've changed, Bellamy," while Luffy tells him not to push himself and to stay down. A side note says Bellamy is referring to himself in the third person. The page shows Bellamy separating his own will from Doflamingo's use of him.

Doflamingo mocks Bellamy, saying he will find a way to ruin the assassination anyway and that Bellamy is just an ugly little failure, so Doflamingo told him to finish him off. Doflamingo says, "Don't make me have to spell it out in black and white for you, Bellamy. From the beginning, yours and my goals have been totally different!" Luffy protests that Bellamy is his friend and that there is no way Bellamy could do that. Then Luffy tries to leave: he says he is worried about Traffy, Mingo, and the snot-guy, and if he does not get upstairs soon, Traffy will be in serious trouble. He asks Bellamy to wait, promising, "I'll be sure to give Mingo one or two for you, too!" But Bellamy begins bouncing, and Luffy asks whether he remembers this technique. The page sets up Bellamy's final challenge to Luffy.

Bellamy launches "Spring Hopper!" bouncing violently between the walls and pillars, stronger than before. Luffy shouts, "Oi! Bellamy! Stop showing compassion for your enemy! Screw you! If you keep flailing around like that you're gonna die!" Bellamy answers that he already knows the extent of his own misery and the fact that he picked the wrong man to look up to, but fools have their own foolish way of doing things. He says he is not trying to be pathetic, just that he did not get the answers he wanted after admiring that man for so long. Then he calls out, "Straw Hat! This is my final fight! Join me!" The strip at the bottom reads "ONE PIECE ...CH. 769 END," and the side note says, "The resolve of a friend rises to block his path!" The page closes with Bellamy asking Luffy to face him seriously.
