The Woman who Controls the Weather

A woman with voluminous curly hair crosses her arms and shouts "STINGER!" and "DOUBLE-" as sharp spikes extend from her body. The next panel shows her launching forward with intense speed lines and impact effects while a voice cries "AGHHH!". Below, the same woman appears amid swirling motion as two figures are struck: one clutches their head while another with light hair and a weapon reels back in pain, marked by impact stars and motion lines. The final close-up captures the light-haired figure's shocked face and defensive posture as spikes and debris fly around them.

A blonde woman sprints desperately through a wrecked street as debris flies and a massive impact erupts behind her. "KYAA! DASH!" she cries, barely escaping the blast. In a side panel the afro-haired woman reacts with a sharp "!". The next instant a spiked projectile hurtles forward with a rapid "Jo Jo Jo Jo!!" as the blonde screams "AHH!". The afro-haired woman stands over the fallen blonde, who pants on the ground with visible "HUFF" effects. "You're a stubborn girl, aren't you..." the afro-haired woman remarks calmly, her back to the viewer as the street lies in ruins around them.

Miss Doublefinger looms over Nami, extending a spiked arm. "If you just sit still, I'll let you die a quick and painless death....Or do you intend to continue on with your little magic showI" she asks. "What point is there in running awayI You have no chance of winning, and no one's coming to help you," she continues with a sharp "ガリ...". Nami grips her Clima-Tact tightly, sweat flying. "THE WEATHER IS 'LIGHTNING!'" she declares as the weapon sparks. "TO HELL WITH IT! I'LL JUST KEEP TRYING EVERYTHING UNTIL I FIND ONE THAT WORKS!" she shouts. "Just you wait! I've still got plenty of techniques left to showcase!" she adds with a determined "FLIP". Nami swings the staff, unleashing a massive lightning strike labeled "THUNDER TEMPO!" as Miss Doublefinger is hurled backward amid crackling "ドゴォ" and impact effects.

A woman with curly hair stands in shock as a powerful kick sends her flying backward with a loud SMACK! and BOOOIING! sound. The attacker, a woman with long straight hair wearing a frilly dress, extends her arm and shouts STINGER FINGER! as a spiked chain-like extension lashes out. The curly-haired woman crashes down, blood trickling from her cheek. She thinks in panic, MY CHEEK IS BLEEDING... THIS IS IT FOR ME, ISN'T IT... AM I REALLY GOING TO DIE HERE...I The attacker looms close with a fierce glare, her eye wide and mouth open in a menacing grin as NAAAAA! and VRRR!! effects burst around her. STINGER FINGER! and SLASH! mark the strike. In the next panels the long-haired woman speaks calmly, Now that's a sensible decision. The curly-haired woman looks up with a startled AH!, replying OhI So you've resigned yourself to your fateI HuhI The attacker continues, Why couldn't he have come up with something more useful for batt- while the curly-haired woman lies on the floor thinking, Well, if I end up dying, I'm definitely gonna curse that useless, long-nosed sack of crap from beyond the grave!

From a low angle inside a tall building, a figure plummets through the air toward the distant floor far below, surrounded by floating debris and broken panels. The long-haired woman stares upward in shock,!!! effects exploding around her. In a rapid sequence of close-ups the curly-haired woman is shown upside-down, her face tense as she thinks BUT HOW!I Someone exclaims, She's standing upside-down!I Impact lines and a massive starburst explosion erupt as the curly-haired woman crashes into the floor with a heavy thud, debris flying outward. The long-haired attacker watches from above as the scene cuts to the aftermath of the landing.

A massive spiked explosion erupts as the attack "STINGER HEDGEHOG!" is unleashed, sending sharp black spikes flying in all directions with heavy impact lines. The woman with the long staff is sent flying backward, shouting "THAT WAS CLOSE!" as she barely evades the first barrage. She grips her staff tightly while more spikes rain down around her. In the lower panels she yells desperately "STOP! W-W-WAIT!" with wide eyes and an open mouth, trying to halt the assault, but the relentless spikes continue to strike, forcing her to cry out "AGHHH!" as she is hit amid the shattering debris and motion lines.

The woman with the staff continues her desperate retreat, shouting "JUST GIVE ME ONE MINUTE! 1 LOUSY MINUTE! OH COME ON!" while running across the rooftop as another massive spike explosion erupts behind her. She yells "I SAID WAAA-AAAAIII!" with the staff extended. Below, more spikes burst forth with the cry "IT'S USELESS!" She spots a building and thinks "Maybe inside this building!" while declaring aloud "I'm only going to be caught out here in the open!" In the final splash she is hurled through the air amid shattering wood and debris after a direct hit, her body twisting from the impact as the staff flies from her hands.

Nami rips through the enemy's spiked attack, gritting her teeth as she declares, "Sorry, but I'm not..." The foe sneers, "It's the end for you, my pincushion!" With a fierce rip, Nami bursts free in a massive explosion of debris and motion lines, shouting "JUST YET!" The impact sends her crashing through the ceiling of a grand hall below, shattering chandeliers and stonework in a cloud of dust and falling rubble as the building shakes violently.

The curly-haired woman with an afro observes Nami and remarks, "Hmm... So you're not a complete novice. At fighting, are you, girl...I" Nami flips away amid "HUFF" sounds and wonders, "Why is it... That I felt like I came across something bad in the Clima-Tact manual just back a moment ago..." In a close-up, Nami stares in shock at the open manual listing combat techniques, yelling "THAT IDIOT!" as a note explains the listed moves are for parties and entertainment.

In a ruined town square a slim figure calls out playfully, "Here kitty, kitty! Oh, I wonder where my lil' kitty has run off to this timeI" A close-up shows a narrowed eye and the muttered words "The other side, huh..." Suddenly a massive spiked ring hurtles forward with the defiant cry "I WON'T RUN, AHAHAHA!" and the bold declaration "NOR HIDE ANYMORE!" The attacker is revealed as a curvaceous woman with wild curly hair, cigarette in hand, wearing a revealing black outfit studded with gleaming spikes. She smirks and states, "Despite my looks, I'll have you know I was a former thief." A dramatic panel shows her hand gripping a spiked weapon while narration reads, "Has survived countless of life or death situations all alone! Who, during her 8 long years of thieving." SFX "るるる" and impact lines emphasize the tension as the weapon spins menacingly.

Nami stands tall, Clima-Tact raised high, shouting "FOR BEING TREATED LIKE A LITTLE GIRL! And I won't stand," her expression fierce. The curly-haired woman replies coolly, "I see... My bad," then asks with a raised eyebrow, "So what's with the sudden confidenceI" A close-up panel displays the rule scroll: "Rule No. 1 in using the Clima-Tact for combat: Know the functions of each of the 3 Tacts." Nami crouches low, staff ready, and declares with fiery determination, "I'LL BE FIGHTING FOR REAL NOW!" Large impact SFX "ズキ" and motion lines surround her confident pose as the two women face off.

Nami, sweating and flipping through a manual, desperately shouts, "PLEASE let there be something I can actually use!" She calls out attacks like "STINGER!" as the curly-haired woman continues her assault amid motion lines and impact effects.

The orange-haired girl reels from a sudden blow, crying out "AGH!" as impact lines and sweat fly across her face. In the next panel a tall woman in a long coat drives a sharp kick forward with a crisp "ズッ!!" sound. The spiky-haired woman then launches a rapid series of piercing strikes labeled "STINGER STEP!", sending the girl tumbling. Calmly she declares, "I'm sorry, but I can't play with you any longer..." The girl plants her feet, spins her three-section staff, and unleashes a roaring whirlwind attack: "CYCLONE TEMPO!" The massive gust slams into her opponent with a heavy "SMACK!", sending the spiky woman flying backward amid swirling motion lines and debris.

The whirlwind explodes outward in a massive burst of force and wind lines. The spiky woman is hurled through the air, her body twisting violently. A close-up shows her wide-eyed shock with "!!I". Below, Nami stares in surprise, sweat drops flying as she gasps "A GUST!I". The spiky woman lands hard, skidding across the floor. In the final panels she rises slowly, weapons crossed in front of her, breathing heavily with "ヒュルルル..." as the dust settles around her determined stance.

Nami grips Usopp's new weapon and studies its spinning mechanism. "In the form of an explosive gust of wind!" she realizes. "I get it! The heat and cold balls are first expelled, and when it stops spinning, they collide, giving birth to an air current." "That's amazing, Usopp!" she exclaims. Across from her, her opponent sweats and mutters, "WHAT A STRANGE WEAPON... The creator himself doesn't even understand it..." A scroll-like caption explains, "The Cyclone Tempo is basically a boomerang, making it an ideal toy for when the party heads outdoors!" as the weapon clacks shut. The opponent continues, "As long as your enemy is human, he won't be getting up after taking a hit from this! HOWEVER! As it can only be used once, it should be your last resort! Consider yourself doomed if you miss... Lastly, the Tornado Tempo is this weapon's ultimate attack!" Nami glances aside nervously, thinking, "JUST MAYBE... BUT..."

The opponent glares and snaps, "Aren't you taking a life or death battle a little too lightlyI You shouldn't be looking somewhere else until the fight's over..." Nami's eyes widen in shock. "WHA- What're you looking at so intentlyI" A clawed black-gloved hand suddenly lashes out from the side. Nami screams as the claws slash across her face. "KYAAAAA!"

The scarred opponent reels back in shock, eyes wide, shouting "WHAT!I" as Nami stands with her Climatact staff. A small panel shows the foe's startled reaction with "!!!" and sound effects "ぴら...." and "ぴきっ!" Nami smiles playfully and says, "Just kidding! ♥" The opponent, sweating heavily, yells in panic, "AT SUCH A CLOSE RANGE!I A MIRAGEI" Nami explains with a confident grin, "Looks like this is the perfect weapon for me! I used the cool balls to change the air density. Light will refract considerably when moving from across a layer of cold air to hot air." In a dramatic full-page spread, Nami stands triumphantly before a ruined townscape, raising her staff as the massive opponent looms overhead. The foe warns, "YOU BETTER GIVE UP WHILE YOU CAN!" Nami declares, "I NOW UNDERSTAND THE CLIMA-TACT!"
