WE'RE GOING TO FINISH THE CAKE ON BOARD OUR SHIP, AND DELIVER IT TO MAMA AT SEA!"

Chiffon proposes a practical solution to Oven: "ARE YOU REALLY SUGGESTING THAT WE LET A RAMPAGING MAMA COME AGROUND TO CHOCOLAT TOWN?! IF WE JUST CONTACT BROTHER PEROS, WE CAN EASILY ARRANGE A MEETING AT SEA!" Oven accepts the logic: "I SEE. YOU'RE RIGHT." He tells her, "I UNDERSTAND, SISTER! YOU MAY PASS." Chiffon smiles, "I'M GLAD!" and thanks him: "THANK YOU, BROTHER OVEN." But Oven's permission lasts only until he confronts what he sees as her betrayal. Oven refuses to treat Chiffon's betrayal as a family argument. He says, "THIS ISN'T SOME SIBLING QUARREL OR REBELLIOUS PHASE OF MINE, CHIFFON. YOU TOOK PART... IN A MUTINY THAT SOUGHT TO KILL OUR QUEEN!" Pudding begs again, "STOP! PLEASE, BROTHER!" but Oven says, "I NEVER THOUGHT I'D HAVE TO USE MY OWN HANDS TO DEAL WITH MY SISTER, BUT... AN EXAMPLE MUST BE MADE. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY!" Chiffon thinks, "CRAP... I DON'T THINK I CAN PONDER THIS MUCH LONGER!" while Pound watches and vows, "I'LL SAVE YOU, MY DAUGHTER!" Then he charges in and shouts, "GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF CHIFFON, OVEN!" Oven turns, shocked, and asks, "WHO IS THAT?!"

Pound's intervention is desperate but sincere. Oven says, "I THOUGHT WE SET YOU ADRIFT ON THE SEA!" while Sanji, still hidden by his disguise, watches and thinks, "I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS GUY IS, BUT..." Pound keeps charging toward Oven. Oven laughs, "HAHAHA! AND HERE I THOUGHT HE WAS A BIT MORE COOL-HEADED. I GUESS HE'S COME FOR YOU, EH? PERFECT TIMING. PUT ME ON THE LOUDSPEAKER." At the harbor, Bege's ship approaches as Oven broadcasts, "BEGE! IT'S ME! IT'S OVEN!"

Oven uses Chiffon as a hostage. He announces, "I'VE JUST CAPTURED CHIFFON, YOUR ACCOMPLICE, ON CACAO ISLAND!" Bege is stunned: "OVEN?!" and calls out for "THE MADAMS!" SOME RESIDENTS REPORTED SEEING A STRANGE-" Brulee, dragged along by Luffy, shouts, "IF YOU REALLY WANT TO RUN, THEN JUST HEAD STRAIGHT FOR CACAO ISLAND!" Luffy realizes she has overheard him and asks, "HUH? WAIT, HOW'D YOU..." Brulee laughs, "WIWI! I GUESS YOU'RE NOT AS STUPID AS YOU LOOK WHEN IT COMES TO FIGHTING." She also warns, "IF THIS FIGHT DRAGS ON LONG ENOUGH, HIS OBSERVATION HAKI WILL DEFINITELY START TO GET WEAKER!" while Luffy notes, "HAKI GETS USED UP."

Luffy rejects the easy escape. Brulee tells him that if he wants to run he can head straight for Cacao Island, but Luffy remembers Rayleigh's training. Rayleigh says, "LUFFY. I HAVE TRAINED YOU, BUT THAT WON'T DO!" and explains, "BUT THE FLOWER OF HAKI ONLY TRULY BLOOMS IN THE EXTREME CONDITIONS OF REAL BATTLE." He teaches, "THE MORE YOU FACE OFF AGAINST STRONG ENEMIES, THE STRONGER YOU WILL BECOME." Back in the present, Luffy thinks about seeing "A LITTLE BIT OF THE FUTURE" and remembers Rayleigh warning, "DON'T GET AHEAD OF YOURSELF, PIPSQUEAK!" Luffy then makes his decision.
