A vast desert stretches toward a distant city under a wide sky, accompanied by the large sound effect "ゴォォォォォ…" A small round object is half-buried in the sand with motion lines and "ハ" effects. Crocodile stands tall in a long coat, asking "Tell me… …WhyI" Luffy, bloodied and on his knees, gasps "TH… THANKS…" while struggling to rise. Crocodile looms over him with dramatic "ドン!!" lettering and motion lines. Small reaction bubbles show "ハ…」 and "…I」 as Luffy’s battered face fills a close-up panel, sweat and injuries visible.

Nico Robin stands in her cowboy hat and fur-trimmed coat, asking, "Why do you fightI" A voice continues, "Those of you who carry the name of 'D'..." Luffy, battered and wide-eyed, reacts with shock as Robin presses, "ARE YOU PEOPLE!I JUST WHO ON EARTH..." Luffy stammers, "D...I" In a desert scene, a tall figure in a long coat and hat catches the fallen Luffy, declaring, "I'VE FOUND YOU." The same figure later muses, "...Perhaps it was a pointless question to ask."

Crocodile stands over the fallen Luffy and remarks, "OhI Awake alreadyI" and "LAND..." He demands, "WHAT DID YOU DO WITH PRINCESS VIVI!I" Luffy, still groggy, growls back. Crocodile then declares, "NOW THAT I UNDERSTAND YOUR POWERS, I WON'T BE DONE IN SO EASILY THIS TIME!" Robin watches and comments, "He's the brave pirate-knight in shining armour. Who escorted your precious princess all the way to this country..." She adds, "But it's good that you've come. Perhaps you'd like to tend to that boy's woundsI" and "Oh, give it a rest. You're injured enough as it is already..."

A large crocodile-like creature labeled "Crocodylia bananadile Species Name: F-Croc (2nd Fastest Animal in Alabasta)" lies on the ground with a small figure beside it. Crocodile speaks, "But who knows what'll happen to her from hereon," and "In case you're wondering, the princess is just fine. She's currently heading for Alubarna." Luffy, enraged, roars "MEAT!" while Crocodile questions, "JUST WHO CAN PROTECT PRINCESS VIVI...!I" and "IF I CAN'T EVEN BEAT HER..." A distant figure is struck with "UGH!" as impact sounds echo.

A wide desert landscape shows a distant town as a voice sings, "Maa Maa Maaaaa~" In the ruined Port Town Nanohana, a tall figure stands amid destruction while voices report, "So the princess and the pirates should have arrived safely in the country..." A boxed note reads "The time limit continues to wind down." A large clock face shows the hands advancing with labels "Before the rebels reach Alubarna" and "Only 5 hours remain," accompanied by echoing "オオオオオ..." sounds. In a wide desert vista, a cloaked figure stands with back to the viewer, gripping a staff-like object while wind whips a banner. Speech bubbles declare "Once this sandstorm passes by, the rain will come will..." and "Just as before..." A final balloon answers "So be it!"

The crew stares in shock at a massive crab clinging to the side of their sinking ship. "I can't believe it!" someone yells as the creature's claws grip tightly. Sanji's eyes widen in delight. "HuhI Holy moly... This crab is phenomenal!" The crab suddenly leaps free and begins sprinting across the ocean surface. "IT'S A MIRACLE!" Usopp shouts. "IT'S RUNNING ON TOP OF THE WATER!" The group cheers wildly until the crab abruptly sinks beneath the waves. "AGHHH!" "BLUB BLUB BLUB..." "-OR MAYBE NOT, AWW CRAP!" The massive splash echoes with a deep ゴーーーーン!!

Stranded in the water, the crew debates their options. "YOU THINK I CAN SWIM THAT FARI" Nami asks. "Around 50km," Usopp replies. "W-w-wait! Isn't there at least a boatI How far away's the other side anyway!I" Sanji cuts in, "We don't have time to complain. Keep going, guys!" A gigantic fish erupts from the depths. "IT'S A SANDORA RAREFISH! IT'S EXTREMELY RARE TO SEE!" The fish lunges with a massive ぞはっ... impact. "AGHHHHH!" "SAVE THE LIVING PLANET NARRATION FOR LATER!" someone yells. "WHAM! AND MENTION THAT FIRST!" The creature snaps its jaws. "AND IT LOVES TO EAT HUMANS!"

The giant fish thrashes violently, sending the crew flying through the spray. "AHHH!" Usopp screams as the beast crashes past. In the chaos, a new group of creatures surfaces with powerful cries of "KUOOO!" A crowd of round, determined dugongs strikes dramatic kung-fu poses. "KUNG-FU DUGONGS!" they announce, leaping into action with swift kicks and punches that drive the massive fish away.

The Kung-Fu Dugongs cheer triumphantly as the fish flees. "KUOO! KUOO! KUO!" One dugong explains, "We're not exactly Luffy's disciples though..." Another adds, "In any case, I'm glad we're saved!" A helpful timeline diagram shows the crew's progress: from Rainbase through the Sandora River toward Alubarna, noting "Thanks to the help of Alabasta's numerous animals" and "The crew managed to cross the river." In the final panels the group discusses their remaining time. "No kidding, since he can only carry 2 people at a time! And we have to deal with B.W. agents from hereon!" "It'll be hard, even with Eyebrows here..." "We've made pretty good time so far but can we still make it in timeI" "THANKS!" "3 Hours"

From a high vantage, several figures peer down in alarm. "NO! THOSE ARE...!" one cries. Another shouts, "W-WHAT IS IT!I DID THE ENEMIES ALREADY TRACK US DOWN!I" A third warns, "WAIT, LOOK OVER THERE!" Below, a massive group of armored Super Spot-Billed Ducks bursts onto the scene with dramatic flair. "IT'S THE SUPER SPOT-BILLED DUCK SQUAD!" the narration declares as the ducks strike poses. Their leader, Carue, lets out a huge "QUAAACK!" while another duck yells "CARUE!" A caption box reads: "Commander Carue and the Super Spot-Billed Duck Squad (Fastest Troop in Alabasta)" as motion lines and impact effects fill the panel.

In a rocky cavern, a man sits cross-legged holding spears as large sound effects echo. A time box states "1 hour remaining. Before the battle begins at the Eastern gates." In the desert canyons, a group discusses strategy: "Yes, indeedio! And princess Vivi herself was a former B.W. agent too!" "They're already beaten 6 of our numbered officer agents..." "We can't take them lightly." "Where to lie in wait for them..." "The problem is, Mean-while at the Western Gates..." One figure yells "STOP SPINNING, YOU LITTLE FRUIT!" A dramatic close-up shows a woman with a long nose striking a pose, declaring "In the art of deception, I cannot be beaten!" as "BUUUT!" erupts beside her.

Mr. 1 sits smoking while Miss Doublefinger stands beside him with a gun. He mutters "Hm..." as she says "...Well, we can always crush them in one stroke if we felt like it." "What should we doI" A chaotic panel shows a large woman spinning wildly with "GOD, YER SLOW!
