THE FRANKIE FAMILY

On the deck of the Going Merry, Roronoa Zoro stands alone, surrounded by a large group of armed men. The men are wielding swords and wearing various eccentric outfits. One of the men, standing in the foreground with his back to the viewer, says, "YOU ASKED WHO WE ARE?" Another voice chuckles, "HUHUH..." The man continues, "PIRATE HUNTER, ZORO...!!" as Zoro looks back at them calmly, his hand resting on his swords. The man declares, "WE ARE BOUNTY HUNTERS."

The group of bounty hunters strikes a collective pose on the deck of the ship. They are a bizarrely dressed crew, with one large man in the center wearing a star-patterned chest plate and fishnet leggings. They announce, "KIDS CRY WHEN THEY SEE US..." "WE ARE THE FRANKIE FAMILY!!!" The large man points his sword at Zoro and shouts, "THE 60-MILLION BOUNTY ON YOUR HEAD IS OURS!!" Zoro remains unfazed, looking at them with a deadpan expression. One of the bounty hunters explains their plan: "--- THEN WE'LL HIDE IN THE SHIP..." "AND AMBUSH THE REST OF THE CREW!!" Another laughs maniacally, "WAHAHA!! WE'RE GOING TO BE RICH! WE'RE SO LUCKY!!!" Suddenly, one of the men charges at Zoro, yelling, "KILL HIM!!"

Zoro effortlessly blocks the attacker's sword with one of his own, still in its scabbard. He replies to their previous comment, "LUCKY?" The attacker looks confused, "HUHUH?" Zoro smirks and corrects them, "MORE LIKELY UNLUCKY." In a swift motion, Zoro draws two of his swords, sending the attacker flying backward with a powerful strike. The rest of the Frankie Family looks on in shock, yelling, "WHAT!!" and "CHARGE!!! GET HIM!!" Zoro drops into a low stance, holding a sword in each hand, and announces his technique: "NITOU RYUU (TWO-SWORD STYLE)".

Zoro unleashes his attack, his eyes fierce. He shouts, "SAI..." A translation note explains: "SAI KURU=RHINO SWIRL". He completes the attack name, "...KURU!!!" A massive shockwave of swirling energy erupts from his swords, blasting the entire group of Frankie Family members off the deck of the Going Merry. They scream, "WAAAH~~~!!" as they are sent flying through the air. Zoro calmly sheathes his swords, sighing, "SIGH. BORING." In the distance, multiple splashes are seen as the defeated bounty hunters fall into the ocean around the ship.

In the bustling Market District of Water Seven, Nico Robin and Tony Tony Chopper are walking along the canal. Robin, wearing a short black dress, admires the scenery, saying, "THE CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER AND THE SIDEWALK ARE ALL SO NICE..." Chopper, walking beside her in his reindeer form, spots a shop filled with various masks. He exclaims, "WOW! WHAT'S THAT, ROBIN!? SO MANY FACES!?" and realizes, "... THAT'S A MASK SHOP..." Robin notes, "AND THERE IS WALK-ABLE ROAD TOO!!" Chopper remembers, "DIDN'T YOU SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE WEARING SUCH MASKS PASS US BY...?" He concludes, "AH...? THEY WERE WEARING MASKS!? NO WONDER THEY LOOKED SO WEIRD."

Robin and Chopper continue their stroll through the city. Robin explains, "ONE OF THE STOPS OF THE SEA TRAIN IS THE SUN FARUTO ISLAND." "THERE IS A COSTUME PARTY TAKING PLACE THERE." "EVERYONE ON THE STREET WAS TALKING ABOUT IT..." Chopper looks up at her in amazement, "EH? HOW DID YOU KNOW!?" "YOU NOTICE THOSE THINGS, TOO!!?" Robin smiles gently and replies, "... IT'S A FORCE OF HABIT." "I'VE BEEN DOING THAT SINCE I WAS A CHILD..." Chopper praises her, "YOU'RE SO AWESOME, ROBIN!!" Suddenly, Chopper spots something exciting. "DOCTOR-SAN, LOOK! A BOOKSTORE!!" he yells, his eyes wide. "REALLY~~~!!?" "CAN I GO SEE!?" Robin nods, "......!! OF COURSE! GO AHEAD!" Chopper immediately dashes off with a "ZOOM!!", leaving Robin standing alone on the street.

Robin is walking alone when a tall, imposing figure in a checkered cloak and a mask walks past her. As he passes, he whispers a single word: "CP9". Robin's eyes widen in shock, and she breaks into a cold sweat. In a flashback or off-screen voice, Chopper's voice is heard saying, "I'LL GO IN FIRST OKAY?" The masked man chuckles, "FUFU..." and says, "ROBIN~!!" Robin stands frozen in fear, her face pale and sweating profusely. In the background, a man wearing a mask walks by, making a strange sound: "KAHN" "KAHN" "KAHN".

Robin remains paralyzed on the street, her face shadowed and sweating. The sounds of the bustling city, "wai wai" and "gaya gaya", surround her. Meanwhile, inside the bookstore, Chopper has transformed into his muscular Heavy Point form to browse the shelves. He thinks to himself, "I SHOULD TAKE HUMAN FORM FOR THIS..." The shopkeeper, an older woman, notices him and says, "OOH~~ NICE MASK? WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO BE?" "A REINDEER MAN?" Chopper stammers, "UH..." and nervously replies, "HAHA... ALL RIGHT THEN." Chopper walks back out of the store, calling out, "HM?" "ROBIN!?" "HEY~~~ ROBIN~~!!?" He looks around, but Robin is nowhere to be seen.

In the Central District, "Zousen-Jima" of Water Seven, Luffy, Nami, and Usopp are at a large Cashing Exchange building. Inside, Luffy yells in shock, "100 MILLION BERI~~~!!?" Nami angrily shushes him, "I... IDIOT, KEEP IT DOWN! ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL EVERYONE IN THE TOWN!?" She turns to the appraiser, "YOU'RE GOING TO GIVE US THAT MUCH MONEY!?" The appraiser, a man with a mustache and a monocle named Ishigo Shitemanna, is carefully examining their Skypiea gold with a loupe. He confirms, "YES... THESE..." "ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY OF IT." "THESE LOOK ANCIENT AND HIGH QUALITY." "THESE ARE THE BEST GOLD YOU CAN POSSIBLY FIND." Usopp also tries to quiet Luffy, "KEEP IT DOWN, LUFFY!!!"

The appraiser continues, "WITH SO MUCH MONEY," "IT'S MORE THAN ENOUGH TO REPAIR GOING MERRY!!!" Luffy excitedly adds, "WE'LL BUY A STATUE WITH WHAT'S LEFT!!" Usopp quickly shuts that down, "NO STATUE!! NO WAY!" The appraiser smiles and says, "IF YOU HAVE NO MORE QUESTION," "I'LL GO AND PREPARE THE CASH..." Suddenly, Nami slams her hands on the table, startling the appraiser. "EEH!!?" he gasps. Luffy and Usopp look confused, "WHAT'S UP, NAMI?" Nami leans in with a menacing smile and says, "I HAVE THREE THINGS TO TELL YOU..." "MR. APPRAISER..." She lists her points: "NUMBER ONE... THIS GUY HAS A 100-MILLION BOUNTY ON HIS HEAD." She points to Luffy. "NUMBER TWO... I DON'T THINK YOUR OFFER IS GOOD ENOUGH." She glares at the appraiser, "NUMBER THREE... IF YOU LIE AGAIN..." "WE'LL CUT OFF YOUR HEAD RIGHT HERE!!"

Outside the exchange, Luffy, Nami, and Usopp are celebrating, surrounded by floating hearts and holding three large briefcases full of cash. Nami cheers, "THREE... 300 MILLION!!!" Luffy is in disbelief, "AM I DREAMING!!?" Nami rejoices, "FINALLY, SOME WELL-EARNED REWARD FOR SKY ISLAND!!" "NO, 'WE' ARE RICH. I'M RICH!" The appraiser waves from the door, "THANKS... FOR COMING." As they walk away, Usopp nervously clutches his briefcase, "IT'S KIND OF SCARY TO THINK THAT I'M HOLDING 100 MILLION..." "IT TURNED INTO 300 MILLION..." Luffy swings his briefcase carelessly, prompting Usopp to warn, "HEY, LUFFY, DON'T SWING LIKE THAT..." Usopp adds, "NAMI'S LOOK WAS SUPER SCARY. HAHAHA..." Nami explains, "I WAS EXPECTING THIS MUCH TO START WITH, NOT JUST 100 MILLION." "YOU TWO DIDN'T LOOK CONFIDENT, SO HE TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU." Usopp sighs in relief, "ANYWAYS, EVERYTHING WENT GREAT SO... AH!!" He suddenly slips on the pavement. "SLIP" "AH!! IT'S GOING TO FALL INTO THE CANAL!!" Luffy quickly stretches his arm and catches the briefcase just before it hits the water. "100-MILLION BERI~~~!!" Luffy exhales, "SO CLOSE. SO CLOSE."

Nami is furious and has beaten Luffy and Usopp to a pulp. They are covered in bruises and bumps. Nami yells, "DO IT AGAIN AND I'LL BEAT YOU UP FOR REAL!!!" Luffy and Usopp cry, "S... SORRY..." Usopp adds, "AND I'LL BREAK ALL YOUR TEETH!!" Nami suggests, "NAMI, LET'S GO BACK TO THE SHIP AND GET MORE GOLD?" Luffy whines, "I WANT TO CARRY GOLD." Nami dismisses the idea, "NO NEED. AFTER WE FIND THE CARPENTER." Usopp agrees, "WE'LL NEED TO GO BACK..." "TO CHECK PRICE ANYWAYS." Luffy nods, "AH... THAT'S TRUE." Suddenly, Luffy spots a food stall. "HEY! THEY'RE SELLING MIZU MIZU BUN!!" "LET'S BUY 1000!!" Nami immediately shuts him down, "SHUT UP..."

The trio arrives at a massive gate marked with a giant number "1". Usopp announces, "WE'RE HERE AGAIN." A text box identifies the location: "THE ENTRANCE TO THE SHIPYARD!!" Usopp notes, "GOOD. THE CROWD IS GONE." Luffy says, "FIRST, LET'S FIND THAT... GUY..." Nami finishes his sentence, "MR. ICEBERG." Usopp wonders, "IS IT OKAY TO JUST WALK IN THERE WITHOUT APPOINTMENT...?" Suddenly, a voice shouts from inside, "EXCUSE ME!!!" "HE'S DOING IT AGAIN..." A man with a long, rectangular nose jumps over the high fence and lands gracefully in front of them. He tells them, "HEY. HOLD ON." "YOU'RE NOT FROM HERE!." Luffy looks confused, "HUH?" The man suggests, "LET'S TALK OUTSIDE."

The man stands before them, wearing a cap with "Galley" written on it and holding some tools. He explains, "ONLY EMPLOYEES ARE ALLOWED IN THERE." Usopp replies, "A~~~... SO..." The man asks, "WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR?" Luffy, noticing the man's long nose, asks, "HI... USOPP?" Usopp angrily yells, "I'M RIGHT HERE, LUFFY!!" Nami points out, "YEAH. AND HIS NOSE IS RECTANGULAR." A text box introduces the man: "GAREERA COMPANY CHIEF MECHANIC KAKU". Nami answers Kaku's question, "OH. AND..." "WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET MR. ICEBERG."

Kaku looks at a piece of paper they handed him. "OH..." "IT'S A RECOMMENDATION LETTER FROM MRS. KOKORO OF THE SHIFT STATION." Luffy bluntly asks, "UH... ARE YOU OLD!?" Kaku replies, "I'M 23." Nami is surprised, "23? BUT YOU SOUND SO OLD." Kaku laughs, "HAHAHA... YEAH. I GET THAT A LOT." He then asks, "DO YOU KNOW WHO ICEBERG IS?" He explains, "HOW CAN I NOT? MR. ICEBERG IS..." "THE MAYOR OF WATER SEVEN." Luffy and Usopp are shocked, "EEEH? HE IS!?" Kaku continues, "HE'S ALSO THE PRESIDENT OF GAREERA COMPANY, AND" "HE ALSO MANAGES THE SEA TRAIN!" Usopp is amazed, "SO THAT GUY IS THE STRONGEST AROUND HERE!?" Kaku concludes, "HE IS A VERY IMPORTANT PERSON IN WATER SEVEN." "HE IS ALSO A VERY BUSY MAN." "YOU JUST WANT YOUR SHIP REPAIRED RIGHT?"

Kaku asks, "WHERE'S YOUR SHIP?" Luffy points, "IT'S DOCKED AT THE PENINSULA..." Kaku offers, "I'LL GO THERE AND CHECK OUT THE SHIP'S CONDITION." "THAT WAY THINGS WILL GO FASTER WHEN YOU TALK TO MR. ICEBERG." "YOU CAN ALSO START NEGOTIATING THE PRICE THAT WAY." He sits on the ground and starts stretching his legs, counting, "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR..." Usopp asks, "CHECK IT OUT? WITH THE YAGARA BULL?" Kaku laughs, "WAHAHA... IF I DO THAT..." "YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOREVER. I'LL BE BACK IN 10 MINUTES." Nami is skeptical, "10... MINUTES?" Suddenly, Kaku launches himself high into the air with incredible speed.

Kaku soars through the sky above the city. Luffy watches in awe, "HE'S FAST!!" Usopp agrees, "YEAH!" Nami looks worried, "BUT WAIT.." "THAT'S..." "A CLIFF!!" Kaku leaps over the tall buildings and disappears from view. Some onlookers nearby gasp, "AH!! HE FELL!!" Another onlooker calmly reassures them, "IT'S ALL RIGHT." "HE DOES THAT FREQUENTLY." Nami turns to the onlooker, confused, "EH? WHO ARE YOU?"

Kaku is seen flying gracefully over the sprawling city of Water Seven, his arms outstretched. A text box describes him: "PEOPLE CALL HIM," "YAMAKAZE, 'MOUNTAIN WIND.'" "HE'S THE CHIEF MECHANIC" "OF DOCK #1," "GAREERA COMPANY:" "KAKU!!" Luffy, Nami, and Usopp watch him go, amazed by his incredible jumping ability.
