At Ringo's snowy bridge, Kamazo has been dealt a powerful blow. Zoro stands over the aftermath of Oni Giri with the stolen scythe still part of the violent exchange, while Kamazo's body finally drops into the snow with a heavy thud. The faces around the battlefield register what just happened: O-Toko is still grinning in her strange way, Komurasaki is stunned, Gyukimaru watches grimly, and Zoro's expression stays sharp despite the blood and fatigue. The assassin who came for the laughing girl has been stopped.

The cost of Zoro's victory appears immediately. Komurasaki covers her mouth, thinking, "Such strength..." while Zoro breathes hard over the fallen Kamazo. He glares toward Gyukimaru, frustrated that he was injured before the final battle, and mutters, "Damn... I got injured before the final battle...!!" Gyukimaru growls from the snow, but the fight has lost its clean shape. Zoro turns, feels the damage and the strain of blood loss, and then, as someone calls "Sir Samurai!!" from the dark, dizziness overtakes him.

Elsewhere in Kuri, at a certain abandoned village, Kin'emon's scattered allies gather with Inuarashi's Musketeer Squad. Inuarashi returns, and Kin'emon urgently says, "We have a big problem!!" The mark of the crescent moon and the coded message have been discovered. Kin'emon insists they distributed it carefully and wonders how anyone found out. The coded paper was meant to counter the chance of falling into enemy hands, but the link between the tattoo and the message has been exposed. The danger is no longer theoretical: in the Flower Capital, the consequences have already begun.

In the Flower Capital, Orochi and Kaido's forces begin arresting allies one by one. Anyone bearing the crescent moon mark on the ankle is declared a traitor, and anyone who sees such a mark is ordered to report it immediately. Drake hears that rumors are spreading too quickly for the capital to be patrolled casually anymore, but Kyoshiro reacts coldly: "Good for you, Drake." When Drake protests that Kyoshiro is the reason their targets escaped, Kyoshiro answers with the wider political problem. Komurasaki's wake has been canceled, and tomorrow's funeral will create even more chaos.

In the Pleasure District of the Flower Capital, Kyoshiro warns that many people are angry at him because of Komurasaki's death. A subordinate worries aloud, but Kyoshiro calmly says there was no other way to handle the situation and that he is the one suffering most from her death anyway. He knows Lord Orochi is angry and lets the mask of grief and calculation sit together. The capital is unstable: the vanished courtesan, the canceled wake, the coming funeral, and the discovered rebellion mark are all tightening into one crisis.

In Ebisu Town, arguments erupt among the Straw Hat allies. Someone shouts, "Stop it, both of you!! Fighting isn't going to solve anything!!" Shinobu insists that friends should always be trusted, while another voice wonders how a person's face could look so badly hit. Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi are furious because their captured comrades might reveal the plan under torture, but the others argue that saving them would be walking straight into the enemy's trap. The dispute becomes raw: one side says their friends would rather die than betray them, while the other says the operation cannot survive a reckless rescue.
The argument sharpens until Shinobu says the prisoners should be disposed of and silenced. Law snaps, "What'd you say?!" while Shinobu answers that this is common sense for ninjas. Usopp breaks down and yells, "This isn't a game!!" They have waited twenty years for this opportunity, and if they fail now, there may never be another chance. Kanjuro tries to stop Shinobu, but she continues: allying with people who share their goal is a miracle, and if that assistance is lost, they will be unable to carry out Lord Oden's wishes. The room is full of anger because every possible choice risks the rebellion.
The quarrel is interrupted by loud voices outside. Brook calls in, "I overheard you outside!! Yohoh!! Your voices are so powerful!!" Nami, Robin, and Shinobu recognize each other amid the confusion, while Brook is still treated like a frightening figure at first glance. The newly arrived allies bring news from the capital, and Yasuie smiles with excitement. Holding up the crescent moon symbol, he says rumors have been swirling through the capital and asks if it is finally time for the final battle. The rebellion's secrecy may be damaged, but the signal has also stirred people who were waiting for it.

Back in Ringo, at the northern cemetery, Zoro wakes inside a small shelter. Komurasaki sits beside him and asks him to lie back down, warning that his wound will open again. O-Toko is still nearby, startled and laughing after the danger, while Zoro's swords are close enough for him to notice them immediately. Komurasaki thanks him for saving them earlier. Her gratitude is gentle, but Zoro's first instinct is still practical: he wants his swords and needs to know where the huge man who stole Shusui went.

Komurasaki apologizes for letting Zoro get hurt so badly for their sake, but Zoro says the injury was due to his own naivety and has nothing to do with her. When he tries to move, she pulls his other arm and he cries out, "Ow ow ow ow oooowwww!!" O-Toko apologizes, and Komurasaki tells him to stay still. Zoro asks where the big man went because he still has his sword. O-Toko explains that she bought some toad oil back in the capital and cheerfully claims it can heal even sharp sword wounds instantly. Zoro cuts through the childish logic: if Gyukimaru stole Shusui, then he needs to be chased.

Komurasaki identifies the thief as Gyukimaru, a figure famous in the capital as Gyukimaru of Ohagi Bridge. She says nobody knows where he lives, but he is a warrior monk who ambushes people carrying weapons when they cross the bridge. Zoro realizes there may be no need to hurry if the man is tied to that place, then asks who Komurasaki and O-Toko are, since Kamazo specifically targeted them. Komurasaki admits they angered the shogun and can no longer enter the capital. O-Toko introduces herself with a laugh, explaining that if you put an O in front of Toko, it becomes O-Toko, then jokes that she is not a boy. Zoro is not amused.
Komurasaki notices that Zoro is an outsider, though he carries himself like a samurai of Wano. She hesitates because he does not seem like a bad person, but Zoro sharply tells her, "Don't stutter!" She decides to trust him with a secret: she is searching for her older brother, whom she has not seen for twenty years, and he may be in Wano right now. Zoro listens, suddenly alert. Then she reveals the name that changes everything: "Kozuki Momonosuke." Her true name is Hiyori, and she is Momonosuke's younger sister, holding on to twenty years' worth of feelings.
