Nami runs desperately, sweat flying, gasping "IT'S NO GOOD... I CAN'T OUTRUN THEM ANY LONGER..." with heavy "HUFF HUFF" breaths and small panting effects. In a sunlit town square with palm trees and arched buildings, a tall man in a long coat stands with his back partly turned, a large "オオオオオ" sound effect behind him as he declares "I HAVE TO FI-". Nami glares back with a fierce expression. A woman with a large afro stands nearby with one hand on her hip, saying "CLARE". The man, wearing a coat marked with the kanji "吉", also says "CLARE".

Nami shouts "NOPE." and dashes away with motion lines and a "DASH!" effect. The afro-haired woman remarks "Aren't you impatient..." while the tall man replies "How tiresome...". Flashback panels show a pirate-hunter rejecting Baroque Works. Daz continues, "That cut down 100 bounty-hunters at Whiskey Peak... There was a pirate-hunter who rejected B.W.'s invitation, and killed Mr. 7..." Zoro smirks and replies, "Hearing that sure does take me back... But you know, it was your organization that was at fault for rejecting my conditions..." Daz answers, "Ha, That must've been you as well."

Daz adds, "I made myself clear to your agent." Usopp responds from his workbench, "The heck are you goin' on aboutI" Nami continues, "I know I'm no real fighter, though I do have a good sense of style... And I'm cute..." Usopp replies enthusiastically, "Yes! A new weapon for me!"

Usopp works at his bench saying "Wait just a second!" and "Sorry for asking..." Nami answers "Oh... Yeah, I guess you can't just expect to become stronger that easily..." She smiles as Usopp presents the finished weapon amid hearts and excited dialogue: "Thank you sooo much!" "Now, about the costs for the materials..." "Then you'll make one for me!I Thank you so much, Usopp! I love you!" Usopp protests, "Uhh, weapons don't come free, y'know..." "Impossible for even Usopp the Great...I" as Nami reacts with shock "Uhh...!I" and the large SFX "どん!" emphasizes the moment.

DIDN'T I MAKE MY MIND UP TO FIGHT!I" In the streets below, she watches the distant battle and resolves, "I WON'T LET THE B.W. DO AS THEY WISH WITH THIS COUNTRY ANY LONGER!" A voice wonders if the others are safe. Nami's face hardens with determination as she declares, "I'M GOING TO GIVE IT MY BEST SHOT!" and "EVEN I CAN TAKE DOWN A SINGLE WOMAN!" She grips the rods tightly, ready to act.

Nami leaps from a high ledge with the Clima-Tact rods, but is struck mid-air by a powerful blow. She crashes violently into the ground with a loud impact, rolling across the stone. Dazed and bruised, she looks up in shock as sharp spikes suddenly shoot toward her from off-panel. Multiple "POKE! POKE! POKE!" sounds ring out as the thorns strike around her. Nami clutches her arm in pain, eyes wide with surprise at the unexpected attack.

Miss Doublefinger smirks and says, "It's hopeless, missy." with a mocking "Fufufu..." Nami thinks, "SO IS SHE A DEVIL FRUIT USER TOO!I OR DOES SHE HAVE SOME SORT OF SPECIAL SPEAR-LIKE WEAPON...I" while spotting the threat. From the shadows, Miss Doublefinger adds, "It won't matter where you hide or how far you try to run away..."

She demonstrates by extending massive spikes from her hand. Nami sweats nervously, thinking, "IF I GET CAUGHT EVEN ONCE, I'LL BE PIERCED ALL OVER AND DIE AN EARLY DEATH... THORNS THAT CAN EASILY PIERCE EVEN A SOLID CONCRETE WALL!!!" Nami then steels herself and shouts, "I've got more than a fair chance of winning!" Miss Doublefinger replies, "Don't tell me you're seriously going to try to fight meI" Nami answers, "That's right!" while raising her Clima-Tact rods.

From a high vantage point, Nami aims her new weapon down the street. "USOPP! I'M COUNTING ON YOU!" she calls. "THE CLIMA-TACT! HAVE A TASTE OF MY NEW WEAPON!" she shouts as she fires. In the next panel Nami grips the staff and explains its power: "Depending on how it's assembled, the Clima-Tact can create natural disasters of all kinds! It can conjure clouds! Summon rain! Call forth winds!" She then declares, "NOW I JUST PUSH THIS BUTTON HERE..." and activates it. "FIRST! CLEAR WEATHER!" The weapon produces a bright flash and sound effect "ギャン!!"
