WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Arlong looms with a fierce grin, declaring, “BUT YOU MIGHT'VE BEEN HAPPIER HAD YOU DIED PEACEFULLY UNDER THE SEA.” He laughs, “SHAHAHAHA... NOT BAD FOR A PATHETIC HUMAN.” In the ruined interior of a building, Luffy crouches amid rubble with an intense glare while a figure lies injured nearby; Luffy retorts, “DO YOU UNDERSTAND JUST HOW ANGRY I AM...I” as small “HMN!” bubbles appear around him. Arlong’s face fills the next panel as he growls, “WITHIN TIME, YOU'LL COME TO SEE THAT YOU WERE BETTER OFF DYING PEACEFULLY IN THE OCEAN.” He continues, “THE SEETHING RAGE I FEEL AFTER SEEING MY BELOVED BRETHREN BE CRUSHED BY YOU PATHETIC INSECTS...!” Palm trees and a distant structure are visible through the broken walls.

A group of villagers and fighters stand amid rubble. One man gestures while saying, “EVEN THAT FIERCE ATTACK JUST NOW DIDN'T AFFECT ARLONG AT ALL...!” Another wonders, “I WONDER IF BROTHER LUFFY'LL BE ALRIGHT...” A figure adds, “ENOUGH ABOUT THAT! JUST HOW FAR WAS BROTHER ZORO SENT FLYING!I” In a close-up, Sanji lights a cigarette with “STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE” effects and states, “ENOUGH WITH YOUR ‘BACK UP.’” Nami, viewed from behind in her straw hat, calls out, “ATTACK LUFFY! I'LL BE BACKING YOU UP!” Below, Usopp lies sprawled on stone steps with impact lines. Inside a damaged building, a seated man with a headband says, “YES...” while a long-haired man warns, “AND IT'LL ALSO BE THE END FOR EAST BLUE.” He adds, “IF HE DIES... YOU'LL ALL BE KILLED,” as a small “THROW” effect appears.

Luffy’s face twists in fury as large impact sound effects “どんどん” explode around him; he points and yells, “NOSEI” with “パチパチ” effects. Arlong’s shark-like face appears beside him, asking, “DO YOU KNOW WHAT HOPELESS DIFFERENCE THERE IS BETWEEN YOU AND II” Massive “どんどん” and “どどどん!!” sound effects dominate the next spread. In the wide scene, Luffy stands ready on the left while Arlong faces him on the right amid destroyed buildings and palm trees. A speech bubble near Luffy reads, “OR JAWI” Several fallen bodies lie in the foreground rubble.

Luffy stares in horror at his own hands, now covered in webbing. "WEBBED HANDS!" Nearby fishmen watch uneasily. "NO... I THINK HE'S SERIOUS." "I-IS HE... JOKING AROUND...I" Arlong lunges forward with a savage bite, jaws clamping down as he roars, "IT'S OUR RACE!" Luffy cries out, "AHH!" The fishman then unleashes a brutal flurry of strikes, sending Luffy reeling across the ground amid a storm of impact sounds: "AGH! ACK! GAH! WAH!" Arlong's massive jaws snap shut again with a resounding "GURA!!"

Arlong's jaws clamp viciously around Luffy's torso. Luffy yells in pain, "AGHHHH!" as the fishman shakes him violently. With a strained "WHEW" and "STRETCH," Luffy pulls free. The fight crashes into a ruined building where Luffy smashes through stone pillars. Onlookers react in shock: "HIS TEETH MUST BE BR..." "HA, LOOK AT THAT IDIOT! HE BIT THAT ROCK PILLAR!" Debris flies as the structure collapses around them.

Luffy sweats heavily, gripping a broken pillar. A fishman screams, "AGHHHHH! HE BIT THROUGH THAT PILLAR!I" Luffy mutters, "AHH, TALK ABOUT SCARY!" Another fishman thinks, "HIS BONES WOULD BE CHEWED RIGHT THROUGH!" and "IF HE GOT BIT BY THAT, HE WOULDN'T JUST GET BITEMARKS..." Arlong looms over the rubble, declaring, "WE'RE ON COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEVELS FROM THE MOMENT OF BIRTH! THIS IS THE POWER THAT WE FISHMAN ARE BORN WITH. WHICH IS WHY YOU ARE THE INFERIOR SPECIES!" A small onlooker watches from the background.

Luffy glares back defiantly. "DON'T GET COCKY JUST BECAUSE OF THAT." "SO WHAT!I" In close-up he growls, "TO CRUSH IT!" and "...I DON'T NEED TO CHEW THROUGH STONE," while raising his fist. Arlong sneers, "SUCH FRIVOLOUS OBJECTIONS..." A second fishman laughs, "THAT'S RIGHT! THE END RESULT IS ALL THE SAME!" "HAHAHA! NICE ONE, BROTHER!" as both fishmen strike triumphant poses.

Luffy charges across the wooden bridge toward the fishman swordsman as massive impact lines and debris explode around them. The fishman sneers, "YOU HUMANS TRULY ARE AN IDIOTIC, WEAK, PATHETIC RACE!" and "WHAT CAN YOU DO!I YOU CAN'T EVEN SAVE YOURSELF FROM DROWNING!" Luffy lunges desperately, grabbing the hilt of one of the fishman's swords and shouting, "THAT I NEED HELP!" The fishman retorts, "IT'S BECAUSE I CAN'T DO ANYTHING," while Luffy's grip tightens with a "CRACK" sound. In the lower panels, Luffy bursts into laughter with "SHISHISHISHI!" as Nami watches with a worried expression and sweat drop, a question mark hovering near Zoro and Genzo seated nearby. Nami thinks, "DOES HE KNOW HOW TO FIGHT WITH A SWORDI"

The fishman reels back in shock as Luffy wildly swings the stolen swords, sending the fishman flying with massive impact effects "ブンッ ブンッ" and "ブィンッ!!!" The fishman yells, "THE HELLI YOU'RE JUST SWINGING AROUND THOSE SWORDS RANDOMLY...!" and Luffy screams "NG AHHHHH!" In the next panel the fishman is struck hard across the face with a "バキ" sound, eyes bulging. Luffy follows through with a spinning motion, the fishman shouting "GOT IT!I" while thinking "I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO PLAY AROUND WITH YOU."

The fight erupts into chaos as the fishman's swords shatter the ceiling with a massive "バキィィィン" crash, sending debris flying while Luffy and the fishman tumble. The fishman growls, "ENOUGH WITH YOUR STUPID LITTLE G..." and "SHUT YOUR TRAP!" as Luffy spins wildly with "SPIN" and "バキ バキ バキ...!!!" effects. In the bottom panel Luffy delivers a powerful punch with a "ドッ」 impact, the fishman's face contorted in pain.

Luffy and the fishman crash through the ceiling in an explosive impact, swords and debris erupting outward with a blinding flash. The fishman reacts with "!!!!I" as Luffy is hurled backward. They plummet together, the fishman flailing while Luffy remains locked in combat. The final panels show the fishman smashing into the ground amid shattering wood and stone with a huge "バリィィィン" and "ARGHH!" as Luffy lands on top of him.

Luffy stands with his back turned as shocked voices cry out, "WHA...!" In a massive impact, Luffy's powerful kick sends Arlong flying across the ruined plaza, teeth shattering. "HE BROKE ARLONG'S TEETH! GUAAHHH!" Arlong crashes down hard. Two fishmen gape in disbelief, one asking, "WHA...I WHAT'S HE TRYING TO SAY...I" Luffy roars at the top of his lungs, "OF COURSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIGHT WITH SWORDS, YOU DUMBASS."

Nami stands alone amid the rubble, declaring, "I DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT NAVIGATION EITHER!" Luffy shouts back with fierce determination, "I'M CONFIDENT THAT I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SURVIVE IF OTHER PEOPLE AREN'T THERE TO HELP ME!" Usopp and the others react in surprise. Nami continues, "MUST BE QUITE HARD FOR YOUR CREWMATES TO DEAL WITH SUCH AN INCOMPETENT CAPTAIN LIKE YOU. IT'S A WONDER WHY'D THEY TRY SO DESPERATELY HARD TO SAVE YOU..." Arlong laughs mockingly from the ground, "SHAHAHAHA... AREN'T YOU QUITE HONEST ABOUT ADMITTING HOW WORTHLESS YOU ARE!I"

Arlong looms with jaws wide open, snarling, "YOU CALL YOURSELF FIT TO BE CAPTAIN WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE AN OUNCE OF SELF-CONFIDENCE!I JUST WHAT EXACTLY CAN YOU DO!I" Luffy glares up with a wild, confident grin and answers, "I CAN BEAT YOU."

The crew cheers wildly as Luffy raises his fist. "ALRIGHT, BROTHER LUFFY!" Nami laughs, "HAHA..." Usopp yells, "AND I'LL BACK YOU UP!" Zoro adds, "I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU LOSE... DAMN STRAIGHT." Arlong rises, boasting, "AND THESE NEW ONES ARE ALWAYS STRONGER THAN THE LAST! I AM A SHARK AFTER ALL. MY TEETH WILL GROW BACK EVERY TIME." Luffy stares him down as Arlong roars, "AAHH! HIS TEETH GREW BACK! ENOUGH BABBLING, YOU PATHETIC HUMAN!"

Arlong's massive jaws stretch wide in a furious roar as he bellows, "HOW MANY TIMES!" and "NO MATTER..." while his saw-nose and teeth clash violently with impact lines and the sound effect "バキ". A close-up shows his gaping maw with the SFX "GROW". Luffy stares in shock, exclaiming "WHOA...". In the background, villagers and fishmen watch tensely. Arlong declares, "THIS IS THE GIFT BESTOWED TO ME BY THE HEAVENS." He then looms over Luffy with arms spread, asking "JUST HOW MUCH SUPERIOR FISHMEN AREI" and "NOW DO YOU REALIZE," as the large SFX "カガチン!!!" erupts around his saw blades.

Arlong's jaws clamp down on Luffy with a massive bite, the fishman yelling "TOOTH GUM!" as Luffy cries out "AHH!" amid heavy impact SFX. Luffy struggles, shouting "STOP!" while grabbing at the attack. Arlong laughs "SHAHA HAHA!" as Luffy is slammed repeatedly with "GYAA AAA!" and chaotic SFX like "ガブ ザブ" and "ガリガリガリ". Luffy's face twists in pain and determination during the brutal exchange.

Nami, Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp react in horror, with Usopp shouting "BROTHER LUFFYYYYY!!". Arlong lies broken amid rubble, groaning "A-ARLONG... IT HURTS..." and "WHEW." Luffy stands over him with a wide grin, hand to his chin, saying "HMM... THAT GIVES ME A GOOD IDEA." Arlong weakly retorts "WHY YOU...!" as the sound effect "THUMP...!" marks the moment.
