CAPTAIN

Panic erupts across the arena as a giant ship plummets downward. Multiple characters scream in terror with wide eyes and open mouths. A massive speech bubble declares "UWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!". The ship crashes violently into the stands and structure, sending debris, smoke, and figures flying in all directions. Impact sounds like "ドゴゴゴン" and "ズゴォン" fill the page. A top hat-wearing figure and others scramble amid the destruction as the arena erupts into chaos.

The Officers' Tower collapses in ruins as massive stone blocks crash down. A voice shouts "TREBOL-SAMA'S GONE CRAZY!!!" while another cries "THE OFFICERS' TOWER IS IN PIECES!!!". People flee in panic with screams of "AAAAH-HHHHH!". A large figure in a top hat and others run from falling debris. Sound effects like "ズゴズゴズゴ" and "ドゴォン" emphasize the destruction. In a close-up panel, a sweating, distressed face reacts with shock.

The destruction continues around a tall tower as figures including a large man with a weapon and others react to the chaos. A voice calls out "USOPP!! USOPP, PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!". The Tontatta dwarves panic as a massive explosion erupts behind them. "WE'LL NEVER TELL YOU!!!" one shouts while another screams "NNNYEHHH, NYYEHHH, I NEED NAMES! THERE ARE STILL MORE OF YOU OUT THERE, NNN-NYYEEHHHHSI!" A voice cries out, "LEO AND THE OTHERS HAVE BEEN CAPTURED...!!!" Robin, wearing a large hat and goggles, reacts with shock: "HUHI!" She urges, "LET'S GET OUT OF HERE WHILE WE STILL CAN, ROBIN!!" as a dwarf replies, "THAT'S RIGHT! DON'T TELL HIM A THING!" In the next panels Usopp lies injured, yelling "OOOOO!!!" A female dwarf with goggles leans close and asks, "YOU MEAN USO-LANDI THE TRUTH IS, HE'S A FRIEND OF MINE. NOW, WHAT WAS HIS NAME AGAIN...I" Usopp weakly answers, "I ALREADY KNOW HE IS. I...I'M SAYING NOTHING!!!" The dwarf presses, "IS THE ONE-LEGGED SOLDIER WITH YOU AS WELLI" Another dwarf panics, "OH, NO! I WAS TRICKED!!" while the black figure roars, "LITTLE FOOL!! HE'S NOT MY FRIEND AT ALL, NYEHHH!!!" and "OH, WELL, IF YOU KNOW, THERE'S NO POINT HIDING IT. JUST AS I SUSPECTED......OH NO, TRICKED AGAIN!!"

The black figure continues ranting, "I'M STARTING TO GET A GOOD PICTURE OF HOW THIS IS ALL CONNECTED, NNNY-EHHH!!" while muttering about "THAT STICKY STUFF..." A dwarf notes, "...IS QUITE FLAMMABLE, YOU KNOW...!!" and another declares, "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU KNOW..." The Tontatta shout in unison, "WE WILL TAKE OUR COMRADES BACK!!! YOUR EVIL-DOING ENDS HERE!!" Suddenly a massive explosion tears through the area. Debris and smoke erupt violently as the black figure is blasted backward amid flying rubble. Screams of "AAAAAGH-HHHHH!!" and impact sounds fill the chaos as the ground and structures are destroyed.

The explosion continues to rage. Dwarves cry out "TREBOL-SAMA!!" and "WHAT IS IT NOWI!" while others yell "UAAA-GHHHH!!!" In the aftermath, the Tontatta leader shouts, "RETREAT AT ONCE!! THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR YOUR PEOPLE!! YOU CAN'T HOPE TO MATCH TREBOL...!!" A dwarf replies, "I MEAN... WE'VE GOTTA RU..." Leo is shown being helped up as voices call "LEO!!" and "LEO!" The leader insists, "ONCE WE DO...THE CAPTAIN WILL DEFEAT DOFLAMINGO FOR SURE!! WE HAVE TO HURRY!!!" Another dwarf coughs, "...JUST RETREAT NOW.......!!! WE CAN'T... *COUGH* WE CAN'T..." while the leader adds, "THE CAPTAIN IS WAITING FOR US!!!" and "WE HAVE TO COMPLETE...THE SOP OPERATION... AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE..."

Elsewhere, an old man with a scarred face exhales heavily, "HOOO-HHHHH..." A gauge labeled "HOUSE PORT PALACE" is shown with an arrow pointing toward the palace. A massive blast erupts inside a grand hall as someone is hurled through the air amid flying debris and impact effects, accompanied by the roar "HADYAHHHH!!!" In a side corridor a figure crashes into machinery with a loud "ガチン!!" and "HEY! DID YOU HEARI!" A bearded man in a top hat pants heavily, "PANT" while a small animal-like figure shouts desperately, "CAPTAIN!!"

Morning in Dressrosa. Newspapers fly through the air as citizens react in shock and joy to the headline that Doflamingo has left the Shichibukai. "HE WON'T BE THE KING OF DRESSROSA ANY MORE, EITHER!!!" "DOF LAMINGO'S LEFT THE SHICHIBUKAI!!!" A soldier in a top hat states firmly, "NO." Nearby voices add, "APPARENTLY THAT REPORT WAS A 'MISTAKE'..." The crowd erupts: "THIS MEANS OUR COMRADES WILL RETURN, DOESN'T ITI!" "CAPTAIN!! DID YOU SEE THE NEWSPAPERI!" Rebecca stands before a massive statue of Kyros. Voices echo the prisoners' despair: "THE PROMISE OF FREEDOM IF WE WIN A THOUSAND MATCHES... THAT'S NOTHING TO HOPE FOR...!! THAT'S JUST A WALL OF DESPAIR!!!" "EVERYONE'S AT THEIR LIMIT!! THEIR SPIRITS ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY BROKEN!!!" "AFTER BEING KICKED DOWN FROM HEAVEN INTO HELL LIKE THAT...!!!" "FORGET IT!! Rebecca turns away, replying, "I'M DONE WITH CHASING AFTER IMPOSSIBLE DREAMS. I'D RATHER PLACE MY HOPES ON TODAY'S TOURNAMENT! IT'S OUR ONE BIG CHANCE!!! THAT'S WHY..."

Rebecca screams in fury at the armored soldier, "HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO DEFEAT DOFLAMINGOI! YOU'RE JUST... JUST......JUST A ONE-LEGGED TOY!!!!" The soldier retorts, "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU AREI!!! YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER, YOU KNOW!!! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S BEING DESPERATE AND FOOLISH!! YOU AND YOUR 'OPERATION'!!!" Rebecca gasps, "AH H..." The soldier replies quietly, "VERY TRUE, VERY TRUE INDEED..." Elsewhere, a man in a top hat clutches his face in anguish, crying, "I...!! I'M JUST SCARED!! I HAVE THIS HORRIBLE FEELING THAT YOU'RE JUST GOING......TO GET YOURSELF KILLED...!!!" Rebecca whispers, "AH H..." The top-hatted soldier answers, "NO... THAT'S NOT IT AT ALL...!!! PERHAPS I HAVE OVER-STEPPED MY PLACE. STILL, I PRAY YOU WILL NOT ENTER THIS TOURNAMENT."

Rebecca races through the streets, shouting desperately, "MR SOLDIER!!!" She leaps across rooftops and gaps between buildings, calling again, "MR SOLDIER!!! I'M SORRY!! WAIT, PLEASE!!!" Panting heavily, she continues her frantic pursuit. In a dramatic close-up, Rebecca lunges forward with tears streaming, sword in hand, screaming at the top of her lungs, "MR SOLDIER!!! HAAAAH-HHHH!!!"

Rebecca suddenly lunges forward and swings her sword at Diamante with full force. The crowd erupts in shock as the narration declares, "...HAS GONE ON THE OFFENSIVE!!" A spectator yells, "WHAT'S THISI! IT LOOKS LIKE REBECCA, WHO HAS NEVER PLAYED ANYTHING BUT A DEFENSIVE GAME..." Diamante blocks the strike, but his blade passes straight through Rebecca's sword without resistance. Close-up panels reveal the truth: "IT'S GOT NO BLADE..." Rebecca glares fiercely and declares, "THIS RING IS A PLACE FOR KILLING!!" An unseen voice wonders, "......WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SWORD......I"

Diamante's arm stretches and twists unnaturally as he taunts, "IF YOU CAN'T SLICE A MAN DOWN......THEN SHED YOUR OWN BLOOD!!" He discards a small box and prepares his counterattack. Rebecca stares in disbelief. Diamante's strike lands with massive impact, sending debris flying as the crowd cheers wildly. The narration proclaims, "THE 'UNDEFEATED WOMAN' STANDS POWERLESS BEFORE THIS FOE!!!" and "......!! A DIRECT HIT!!!" Rebecca reels from the blow.

Bartolomeo suddenly appears and shouts, "HEY!! MUSCLE-MELON!! IT'S BAR-TOLOMEO, ACTUALLY...!!" The crowd reacts with surprise. Rebecca stands panting heavily. Flashbacks show her mother Scarlet's death as Diamante mocks, "...HOW YOUR MOTHER, SCARLET, DIED......I REBECCA...!! DO YOU KNOW..." He continues, "YOU GO AND PROTECT THE GIRL!!" Outside the colosseum, the ground shakes violently. The toy soldier faces Lao G as a sign reads "ROYAL PALACE 1F, OUTSIDE THE LIFT. TOY SOLDIER VS LAO G." The soldier mutters, "HMMI! THIS SHAKING...!" In the tunnels, Tontatta dwarves battle Pica's stone form. One yells, "KABU-SAN!! RIGHT!!" Another cries, "WE WON'T LET YOU GO!!!" An old dwarf wonders, "THIS MUST BE PICA'S DOING. WHY IS HE CAUSING SUCH A RUCKUS...I" The dwarves shout, "WAIT!! IF WE LEAVE NOW, OUR COMRADES WILL FALL!!" and "UNHAND ME, FILTHY DWARFS!!" as they struggle to hold on.

The Tontatta warriors confront their toy captain in a tense discussion. One shouts, "IF YOU DO NOT MOVE ONWARD, WHAT WILL THIS ALL HAVE BEEN FORI!!!" Another declares, "WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN READY TO SACRIFICE OURSELVES!!!" The captain retorts, "RIDI-CULOUS!!" while leaping forward with his sword, prompting cries of "YOU MUST LOOK FORWARD, CAPTAIN!!!" and "!I". In the next sequence, a scarred bird-like Tontatta presses, "...WHO CAN ELIMINATE DOFLAMINGO, CAPTAIN!!!" and "YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE AMONG US..." A small panel shows the captain standing with a companion as narration warns, "IF YOU DO NOT ELIMINATE DOFLAMINGO, HE WILL RESTORE EVERYTHING TO THE WAY IT WAS!!!" and "EVEN ASSUMING LEO AND HIS TEAM SUCCEED IN THE SOP OPERATION...". A close-up of the captain's face questions, "WHY DO YOU PLACE SO MUCH FAITH IN HIMI!" while another voice demands, "WHAT IS THAT 'CAPTAIN' TO YOU, LEOI!" A sign labels the location: "UNDERGROUND TRADING PORT - THE OFFICERS' TOWER."

The discussion continues among the Tontatta. A voice explains, "BUT IN THE CASE OF OUR CAPTAIN, THE FIRST TOY WHO WAS EVER CREATED IN THIS COUNTRY..." and notes how others become obedient workers under contract. The captain is called "HE'S JUST A ONE-LEGGED TOY, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!" A determined Tontatta states, "HE IS THE ONLY TOY WHO IS ABLE TO REBEL AGAINST THE DONQUIXOTE FAMILY!" and "THAT IS WHY HE HAS FOUGHT AGAINST THEM ON HIS OWN FOR TEN WHOLE YEARS!!" A girl adds, "SUGAR MADE A MISTAKE... SHE FORGOT TO IMPOSE A CONTRACT ON HIM!!" and "THAT SINGLE MISTAKE, TEN YEARS AGO, CREATED THE CAPTAIN YOU SEE TODAY!" The group reflects, "...WOULD ALL HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO SLAVES WITHOUT EVER REALISING WHAT WAS REALLY HAPPENING!" and "AND WE OF THE TONTATTA, TOO..." while a final line notes, "...WOULD HAVE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO SUCCUMB TO THEIR CRUEL FATE!!" and "IF IT WEREN'T FOR HIM, ALL OF THE OTHER TOYS..."

The Tontatta girl cries out passionately, "THAT MAN IS WORTH PLACING ALL OUR HOPES IN!!" and "...THIS COUNTRY WILL TRULY BE BEYOND SAVING!!!" She continues, "IF WE DO NOT RESPOND TO HIS CRIES..." A stern warrior recalls, "WHEN HE WAS A BIG HUMAN, THE NAME OF THAT MAN WAS..." and shouts, "'KYROS'!!!" while a flashback shows the human figure fighting. The narration states, "THOUGH NOBODY REMEMBERS HIM NOW, THERE WAS A TIME WHEN EVERYONE KNEW HIS NAME!!" The toy captain stands tall as the group proclaims, "THAT IS THE CAPTAIN WE FOLLOW!!!" and "THE GREATEST GLADIATOR WHO EVER FOUGHT IN THE COLOSSEUM!!!" A large panel reveals the toy's torso marked "SOLD" with the label "THE IDENTITY OF 'HOPE'!!!" and the chapter footer "ONE PIECE" "第739話" "本回完".
