Jump to the Fall!!

The Straw Hats stand together above Enies Lobby after burning the World Government flag, refusing to abandon Robin. They shout across the gap, "WE'LL RESCUE YOU AT ANY COST!!!" and Franky roars, "ROBIN!!!" The drawbridge begins to descend toward them. Robin still hears the terrible warnings in her mind: "Having the world as your enemy!!" and "Don't you dare to even dream that you'd survive." But Luffy's answer remains just as clear: "I'd be happy to live with that!!!" Below, the CP9 agents and Spandam watch. One of them mutters, "Don't come!!!" while another says, "Useless. They'll never defeat us...!!" Spandam, furious that the flag of the World Government has been disrespected, laughs and sneers, "Gyahahaha! How dare they disrespect the flag of the World Government!!?"

In the courtyard in front of the courthouse, the Franky Family and allies celebrate after seizing the mechanism. At the left tower, where Mozu and Lulu's group fought, they cheer, "YEAH!!! WE PULLED THE LEVER!!!" and "WE'VE DONE IT!!" The huge lever is marked OPEN, and Oimo lies battered beside it. On the right tower, Kiwi and Tilestone's side also succeeds. "THE DRAW-BRIDGE IS LOWERING!!!" someone shouts, while another says, "LOOKS LIKE MOZU AND THE REST WERE SUCCESSFUL!!" The allies raise their fists and yell, "GO STRAW-HATS!!"

The courthouse defenders refuse to give up the drawbridge. The three-headed Presiding Judge Baskerville rages, "DAMN PIRATES!!!" and declares, "IT WON'T WORK THAT EASILY!!!" The order goes out: "PREPARE THE TRENCH MORTAR!!!" and "STOP THE DRAW-BRIDGE, EVEN IF THAT MEANS BREAKING IT!!!" Chopper reacts in alarm, "!!?" as the threat appears. Baskerville screams, "THIS IS THE END OF YOUR LIFE!!!" and attacks with "DISMANTLE SLICE!!!" At the same time, Paulie refuses to let them interfere: "I WON'T LET YOU DO THAT!" He strikes with "PIPE HITCH KNIVES!!!"

Paulie's ropes slice through the judge trio's attack and send Baskerville flying. The three-headed judge cries out as the illusion of one body breaks apart. From the center voice comes the dramatic reveal: "AND I, IN THE MIDDLE, AM... PRESIDING JUDGE BASKERVILLE!!!" The other heads expose the truth too: "MY REAL NAME IS 'BAS,' ON THE LEFT!!" and "MY REAL NAME IS 'KERVILLE,' ON THE RIGHT!!" Their enemy stares in confusion: "!!?" and someone curses, "WHAT THE FUCK!!?" The secret of the three heads is simply that three men were stuck together the whole time, and nobody can understand why.

The beaten judge trio insists, "Because we're good friends!!!" but Baskerville immediately snaps, "OH SHUT UP!!!" and still orders, "FIRE THE TRENCH MORTAR!!!" The weapon fires, but the drawbridge mechanism suddenly stops with a heavy jolt. Sanji sees it and shouts, "!!! THE DRAW-BRIDGE STOPPED MOVING!!!" Kokoro, with Chimney watching nearby, reacts, "!!? ... CREE!!" At the Tower of Justice, an official begs, "CHIEF SPANDAM!! PLEASE EVACUATE FROM THE TOWER OF JUSTICE!!" Luffy glares from across the gap and yells, "DAMN IT!! WHO ARE YOU!!? GETTING IN OUR WAY...!!!" Meanwhile, Paulie catches his breath and is praised: "GUH...!! GOOD!!! GOOD JOB!!!" He answers, "Now, before they come off to this side, let me go to the Gates of Justice...!!!"

As the bridge stalls, the Straw Hats call desperately for Robin. Franky cries, "ROBIN!!!" while Sanji shouts, "ROBIN!!!" Spandam drags her away and orders, "COME, NICO ROBIN!!!" She struggles and gasps, "AGH!" Spandam panics, "SOMEBODY, GRAB CUTTY FLAM!!" He boasts that he already holds the Assassination Group CP9 and does not care about the pirates. Then he recites Robin's label like a sentence: "'NICO ROBIN,' A SURVIVOR OF THE SCHOLARS' ISLAND WHO DESIRED THE REVIVAL OF THE WEAPON." He turns to Franky and adds, "AND 'CUTTY FLAM,' WHO INHERITED THE WEAPON'S BLUEPRINTS." Robin says softly, "Robin-chan." Spandam grins at the chance to gain favor with authority: "HOW COULD I MISS THIS CHANCE TO GAIN SUCH AUTHORITY!?" Even as Franky protests, "NUOO!!! CUTTY FLAM!!!" Spandam forces them toward the Tower of Justice.

Franky reaches into his body and pulls out a folded bundle marked PLUTON. Kalifa, Kaku, and Lucci all notice at once. Franky says, "That's... you mean... NO WAY...!!!" and the shock lands: "ARE THOSE THE BLUEPRINTS OF THE ANCIENT WEAPON PLUTON!!?" Spandam's greed explodes. "... IT'S LEGIT." he says, already begging, "DO YOU BELIEVE ME?" He turns to Lucci and Kaku: "Lucci... Kaku... you can tell, can't you?" Kaku confirms with a silent reaction, and Lucci says, "I doubted it... But you were hiding it in your body, weren't you?"

Spandam is overcome by the sight of the blueprints. "I-IS IT REAL!?" he cries. "IT'S REAL!? GIVE IT TO ME!!!" Then louder: "GIVE IT TO ME!! THAT'S WHAT I'VE DESIRED, THE BLUEPRINTS!!!" Robin watches Franky, quietly saying, "NICO ROBIN..." Franky explains why the blueprints were preserved at all. They were passed down through Water Seven's shipwrights from generation to generation, not to create the weapon, but because someone might someday try to abuse the ancient weapon like the rumor said. "I now understand that you are not the 'demon'," Franky says. "It's the blueprints that Tom-san passed on to the future. By sacrificing all the great work he has done. As long as there's a possibility that the woman called Nico Robin will try to revive the existing weapon, those blueprints will be needed by the world to create an 'opposing force'!!!" He tells Spandam, "Listen, Spanda... What Tom-san and Iceburg have protected by risking their lives..."

Franky finishes the truth Spandam never understood. "If the ancient weapon falls into the hands of an idiot like you and starts its rampage, there needs to be another weapon to counter and stop the first one... that was the wish of the designer!!!" Spandam argues that Nico Robin makes the blueprints necessary because she is dangerous: "It's true that you can use Nico Robin to revive the weapon!! She's a dangerous woman." Franky rejects that fear. "But now, she has her nakama who'll protect her!!" Spandam screams, "DON'T KEEP GOING ON AND ON, JUST GIVE IT TO ME!!! THAT'S MINE!!" Franky sees only one path. "So, I'll make a wager... Perhaps there's only one way... To fulfill the wishes of the designer."

Franky sets the Pluton blueprints on fire. Spandam reacts in horror, "!!?" and can only choke, "ACK!!!" The CP9 agents and Robin stare as the paper burns away. Spandam screams, "Bastard!! What the heck did you do!!?" and then, "Damn it, I'll kill you!!!" Kaku understands the loss: "He just ruined the target of our 5-year mission..." Kalifa watches in silence. Spandam rages that the blueprints were left to create the opposing force and normally should have existed secretly, but once discovered, "they should've been destroyed once they were discovered!!!"

With the blueprints gone, Franky places everything on the Straw Hats. He says that if the Straw Hats lose, there will no longer be any force to oppose the weapon, and if Nico Robin falls into the Government's hands, they are doomed. "But if the Strawhats win...!! You have nothing left!!! So I'll place my bet on them!!!" From below, his followers finally spot him. "BRO!!!" "FRANKY BRO!!" They cry, "WAAAH!! IT'S BRO!!" and "Hey, bro is on the Tower of Justice!!" Others are relieved: "Good, he's safe!!" They call up to him, "Bro, we've come to rescue you!! We came with Strawhat-san and them!!" and proudly add, "Sodom and Gomorrah tried their best, too!!" Franky, stunned, answers only, "Y... You..." as they ask, "Bro, come back with us! Are you hurt at all?"

Franky breaks down crying at the sight of his people. Through tears and a stuffed nose, he tries to sound angry: "AZKD JOO TEH COME WESQUE MEEE!!?" A note clarifies he means, "Asked you to come rescue me!!?" He sobs, "DAMN YOU, WHO THE HECK ASKED YOU..." and then, "B~~R~~O!!!" From below, the Franky Family tease him: "I ain't crying." "Damn you..." "Bas-tards." Luffy grins and tells them, "SHUT UP, PUNKS!!!" while Nami and the others shout, "DON'T BE SO COLD-HEARTED!!!" Nami adds, "Nami-san I love you for being cold-hearted, too!!!" Zoro cuts back to the mission: "ROBIN'S WAITING FOR US! HURRY AND LOWER THE BRIDGE!!!" Luffy agrees, "RIGHT!" and someone warns the enemies, "Oh, yeah, hurry up, bastards!!!" "Oh, yes!! Move it, or I'll blow you away!!"

Spandam still tries to turn Franky's people into leverage. "I see you've taken good care of my subordinates..." he says. "So this time, I, the master dismantler Franky-sama, will be your super great ally in this war!!!" Franky shrugs off the grudge: "Whatever!!! I still hold a grudge against you on Usopp's matter!!!" But as he speaks, the half-lowered bridge becomes the only route. Spandam howls, "Cutty Flam!! You... How dare you ruin my blueprints!!!" and throws Franky from the tower. "OO-WAAAH, BRO!!!" his men scream. "BRO!" "WILL DROP INTO THE FALL!!!" Below, Chimney, Gonbe, and the others hesitate. "Eyy, pirates!!" "Whatcha hezzitatin' fo'?" Kokoro shouts. "I heard effry-thin'." Someone asks, "Koko-ro-san!!?" She explains, "Hesitating...? But the bridge is only halfway lowered...!!"

Kokoro sees that waiting will not work. The bridge is stuck midway, and she shouts in her slurred accent, "HALFWAY IZ NUF!! WE'LL BE DHERE IN 4 SHECONDZ!!!" Her command is reckless but clear: "JUMP TO DE FALL WIFF ALL YER MIGHT!!!" The Straw Hats panic as Rocketman surges forward, and Luffy asks, "Is it baa-san!? What does she mean!?" Nami understands and cries, "She told us TO JUMP INTO THE FALL...!!!" Someone asks, "GYAH! WHY IS THAT SEA TRAIN IN THE COURT-HOUSE!?" The soldiers shout, "HALT!!" and one yells, "WHAT IS THAT TRAIN...!!?" Another warns, "Pre-siding Judge, please run!!!" Luffy hears the familiar noise and says, "WOOOWOOO!!! That's the sea train's sound."

The Straw Hats leap. As Rocketman charges below, Luffy yells, "LET'S GO!!!" and the crew throws themselves from the courthouse side into the open drop. Voices scatter through the air: "OOWAA-AAAAAA-AAAH!" "EH!!?" "!!?" "OO-WAH!" On the ground, the enemies realize too late what is happening. "Dhe legendree shipbuildin' company, Tom's workers!!!" Kokoro boasts. One soldier recognizes the impossible sea train and cries, "...! 'ROCKET MAN'...!?" Another still doubts it: "'ROCKET MAN' CAN STILL MOO!! DON'T UNDERESTIMATE."

Rocketman bursts forward again, leaping the ruined gap as the Straw Hats fall toward it. The scene explodes with smoke, speed, and panic. The soldiers scream, "TH-THEY'RE COMING~~!!!" as the train jumps once more. Someone cries, "IT JUMPED AGAIN--" while others shout, "HOO-GEH!!!" and "OO-WAA-AAH!" The sea train's shark-like face crashes into the frame, carrying the crew's desperate charge toward the Tower of Justice. The chapter and volume close on the impossible forward motion of Rocketman and the Straw Hats' rescue attempt.
