THE HEIGHT OF FOLLY

Marines scramble in panic across a chaotic port as explosions and smoke fill the air. A large officer shouts, "ALL MARINES ARE TO RETURN TO THEIR VESSELS IMMEDIATELY!!" Others yell "HURRY!!" and "PREPARE FOR A FULL-FLEET BOMBARDMENT!!" One marine declares "JUSTICE IS BLIND!!" while another screams "BMAAA". In a smaller panel, a dark-haired woman urgently calls out, "ADMIRAL BORSALINO!! SAINT SATURN!! PLEASE HURRY BACK TO THE SHIPS!!" Nearby marines protest, "HELL IF I KNOW!! JUST DO AS YOU'RE TOLD!!" The bottom panel shows Kizaru standing with his back partially turned as Saint Saturn commands, "BEGIN THE BARRAGE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!" Kizaru replies, "...SHALL REMAIN ON THE ISLAND. KIZARU AND I..." An unseen voice reacts, "WHATI! BUT..."

Kizaru faces the dark-haired woman, who responds "YES, SIR!!" as he says "GO." In the next scene on Egghead, Vegapunk stands before several figures and pleads, "THE MOST CUTTING EDGE RESEARCH OF ALL THE SCIENTIFIC FIELDS CAN BE FOUND ON EGGHEAD!! DESTROYING IT WILL SET US BACK AN ENTIRE CENTURY! PLEASE CALL OFF THIS BUSTER CALL!!" A voice questions, "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, SAINT SATURNI!" Another adds, "I THOUGHT YOU WERE ONLY AFTER MY LIFE!! ISN'T THAT ENOUGH TO END THIS MADNESSI!" Vegapunk continues, "BUT WHAT ABOUT HUMANITY...I!" Saint Saturn retorts, "PERHAPS SOMETHING THAT COULD HINDER THE WORLD GOVERNMENTI...MIGHT STILL BE HIDING SOMETHING. EITHER WAY, WE HAVE NO NEED FOR FURTHER ADVANCEMENT." Kizaru is begged, "KIZARU!! I'M BEGGING YOU!!"

A massive, wrinkled face looms with swirling black smoke as a voice declares, "A SHIP LEFT THIS ISLAND YESTERDAY..." The speaker continues, "THAT REMINDS ME... YOU SHOULD KNOW, I GAVE THE ORDER FOR IT TO BE HUNTED DOWN." Below, a burning, ruined island landscape is shown with a small ship sinking amid smoke and debris. "...THAT SOME PASSENGERS MIGHT HAVE HAD ACCESS TO INFORMATION ABOUT THE VOID CENTURY!!" a voice explains. "IT WAS NATURAL TO ASSUME..." A shocked, sweating face reacts with "WHAT...I" Accusations fly: "YOU DUG THEIR GRAVES BY DIGGING INTO THE PAST, ALL TO SATISFY YOUR SELFISH SENSE OF CURIOSITY!! YOU SHOULD'VE KEPT YOUR GREED IN CHECK." "YOU BROKE A TABOO, VEGAPUNK!! JUST LIKE OHARA!!" Another panel shows a furious, wide-eyed figure shouting, "HOW COULD YOUI! THEY KNEW NOTHING!! NONE OF THEM COMMITTED A CRIME!!!" The final panel reveals a stern face stating, "A WARSHIP WAS SENT TO BE SAFE; THE DEAD MAKE THE BEST SECRET KEEPERS, AFTER ALL."

Explosions rock the island as orders ring out: "EVERYONE ELSE, BEGIN EVACUATION IMMEDIATELY!!!" "PACIFISTA UNITS, REMAIN ON THE ISLAND!!" Multiple ships labeled "PK-034" and "03" prepare for launch amid chaos and smoke. "THIS IS SHIP 54! PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETE, OVER!" "SHIP 21 IS ALSO STANDING BY!" A tattooed man points and shouts, "QUICK, WHILE VEGAPUNK'S GOT THEIR ATTENTION... HIGH TAIL IT TO THE VACUUM ROCKET!" Sanji responds, "RIGHT!!" The group races through a corridor as Nami asks, "WE MADE IT TO THE BACK ENTRANCE! WHAT'S YOUR STATUS UP THEREI!" A voice answers, "NAMI-SAN, IT'S ME!" Bonney yells, "DON'T WORRY, BONNEY-CHAN. I'M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT HIM!!" Sanji replies, "BUT, SANJI...!! WHAT ABOUT VEGAPUNKI!"

A woman with headphones reports, "OUR PLAN TO HAVE VEGAFORCE 01 CARRY US PAST THE COAST... ISN'T POSSIBLE ANYMORE!!" A ruined shoreline is shown with the note "...WAS DESTROYED BY KIZARU!!" and "THAT ROBOT..." Inside the lab-stratum, a small robot cries "GYAH!!" as a massive Buster Call blast erupts. "THIS ISLAND'S FINISHED!!" Voices discuss: "WHEN LUFFY, FRANKY, BONNEY, AND HER WERE TRYING TO MOVE THE SUNNY..." "THANKFULLY, LILITH DIDN'T FALL DOWN WITH THE OTHERS..." "BROOK'S GONE TO HELP HER!" A cyborg figure roars while carrying someone, "LET'S HURRY AND GET OUTTA HERE ALREADY!!" Zoro remains engaged with Lucci as the group flees, with one noting, "ZORO'S STILL OFF DEALING WITH LUCCI!" and "WE SENT JINBE OVER TO GET HIM..."

Franky yells, "WE'LL HAVE TO BLAST THROUGH!!" while operating controls amid "ガシャン!!" sounds. The Thousand Sunny launches skyward with Luffy aboard, declaring, "YO HO HO HO! Explosions and debris fly while a voice warns, "WATCH OUT!! THE PACIFISTA ARE ON THE MOVE!!" Luffy clings to the mast as the Sunny soars, with one figure exclaiming, "OH!! I HADN'T THOUGHT OF THAT!" and another calling, "I'M ALL EARS, LILITH-SAN!!"

A massive explosion erupts across the rocky terrain as a lone figure stands amid the blast holding a long staff. "BOOM!!" A close-up shows a panicked face with sweat flying as a high-pitched sound rings out "キューイン!!". Below, the futuristic Egghead laboratory complex shakes violently with multiple structures exploding and debris flying. A small figure stands on the ground watching the chaos. A close-up reveals Vegapunk with his tongue hanging out and wild hair, labeled "EGG-HEAD". Inside the speeding Hyper Capsule, two girls react in alarm. One with glasses shouts, "WHAT IS THIS THINGI IT'S CRAZY FAST!!" while the other yells, "BE QUICK, VACUUM ROCKET!!" A narration box states, "THE DESTINATION OF THIS CAPSULE IS THE LABO-STRATUM..." The second girl cries, "LET'S GO!!" The capsule is clearly marked "HYPER CAPSULE".

Vegapunk appears in a panel shouting "AMA NO MURAKUMO!!" with dramatic effect lines. A timer reads "...IS 32 SECONDS." The Hyper Capsule rockets through a massive vertical shaft lined with pipes and structures. A voice exclaims "WHOA!!" as a narration box notes "THE APPROXIMATE JOURNEY FROM THE LABO-STRATUM..." with "ZAP" effects. Inside the spinning capsule, the occupants scream in terror "GYAAAA AAAH!!" as the vehicle violently shakes and collides. A large "SLASH!!" impact shatters part of the capsule, sending fragments flying while one girl yells "A CUPSU!!II"

Kizaru speaks while holding a Den Den Mushi: "I COULDN'T HELP BUT DWELL ON THE WORST-CASE SCENARIO... BONNEY... WHEN I HEARD YOU HAD BECOME A PIRATE..." Bonney glares back. Multiple Marines and Pacifista units react as one shouts "AND NOW HER LIFE WILL BE TAKEN BY YOUR CLONES!!" Another commands "KILL BONNEY AND KUMA!!...FIRE YOUR LASERS!!" A Pacifista notes "HOW SUITABLY IRONIC!!" while another says "PACIFISTA UNITS... I'M COMING BONNEY-CHAN!!" Bonney screams "DADDY!!" Kizaru is struck with "ビシャッ!!" and yells "KIZARU!! YOU BASTARD!" A Marine warns "BUT THEY DON'T KNOW OR CARE THAT YOU ARE THE DAUGHTER OF THEIR PROGENITOR!! A PACIFISTA WON'T HESITATE TO SHOOT YOU IF THE NAVY COMMANDED... THEY MAY LOOK JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER..." Below, chaos erupts as Sentomaru yells "SEIZE HIM, QUICK!! HE'S AN EMPEROR!!" while another Marine says "I'M SO STUFFED. I CAN BARELY MOVE." A voice calls "HEY!! ISN'T THIS STRAW HATI!" The giant black sphere labeled "ROCKET" crashes through the lab with Bonney clinging to it, shouting "GRAB!!" as debris flies everywhere. Narration declares "YOUR STRUGGLE WAS TRULY THE HEIGHT OF FOLLY!!" and "A FITTING FATE FOR A SQUIRMING INSECT!!" The chapter ends with Luffy's face and "ONE PIECE CH.1105 /END".
