Violet

The story backtracks in Dressrosa, thirty minutes before Caesar's appointed exchange. Sanji is already wounded and cornered by Violet, who reads him with unnerving certainty. Sanji is struck again, but even through the beating he says, "What a kick!! Oo big sis!!" while the men around Violet praise her beauty with cries like "Gyahhh she's merciless! So so beautiful!" The violence is real, not a romantic comedy misunderstanding. Sanji is being kicked, slammed, and mocked by people who believe Violet has only used him. Yet his expression and words keep pointing in the opposite direction: he believes her tears and heart are real. Violet looks inside Sanji and finds something she did not expect. Sanji remembers her earlier eyes and says, "...That time... your eyes!!" Violet had told him, "There's a man I want you to kill," and Sanji answers now, "You were speaking the truth...!!" He insists that he could never doubt her: "...Even... even if a million people denounced you... I could never doubt a woman's tears!!" The declaration is absurdly sincere, and it hits Violet hard enough to make her flinch. Her men explode in anger: "Big sis!! If this perverted bastard is no longer of any use, let us take care of him!!!" and "What kind of bullshit is that? You don't deserve to live!!" Violet, who had been controlling the situation through vision and manipulation, is shaken because Sanji's mind proves exactly what his mouth said.

Violet finally turns on the men using her. One shouts, "Wait, big sis!!" while she strikes with the technique "Hierro Lagrima," crying, "Your head!!" The attack lands like a tear-shaped iron blow, and a note explains the naming through Spanish, Japanese, and English: "iron tear." Her former allies are hit hard and scream, "Wait, big sis!!" Sanji, still injured, watches as the woman he believed in proves him right. The men who called him a fool now become her targets. Violet's betrayal of the Donquixote side is not casual; she has been trapped in Doflamingo's service and chooses this moment to break the script. She clarifies that Sanji has come too far from the ship and that Doflamingo's plan is already closing.

The memory reveals Dressrosa's public confusion after Doflamingo's supposed resignation. Citizens shout, "Your majesty!!" and "Please don't tell us you resigned!!" while someone reports, "There's 4 government ship in the harbor!!" People call, "Doflamingo-sama!!" and demand, "Please explain this!! Why abdicate the throne!?" Sanji, watching through Violet's memory, sees that the citizens are noisy but not yet panicked. Someone identifies the visitors: "It's Cipher Pol 'Aegis' Zero." Another says, "They're officials who answer directly to the World Nobles!!" CP0 speaks to the crowd: "Calm yourselves, people of Dressrosa. In regards to the reported matter of Doflamingo's abdication and relinquishment of the title of Shichibukai..." The appearance of CP0 proves the issue is not ordinary politics. The World Government itself is involved in shaping what Dressrosa is allowed to know.

CP0 announces that the report was false. A masked official says, "That was a mistake. A faulty report." The message continues: "Still, the world will not be informed of this until a special edition at 3 o'clock today. So until then, mum's the word!! Exposing this information is strictly forbidden!!" CP0 tells the public, "Citizens, please proceed calmly... as if nothing had happened at all." Doflamingo's citizens are expected to swallow the reversal and return to normal. Sanji and Violet understand the implication: Law and the Straw Hats acted on a fabricated report. Doflamingo did not truly lose his throne or his Shichibukai position, and the World Government's correction is being delayed long enough for the trap at Green Bit to spring.

Sanji is terrified by the scale of the deception. He says, "So we've been taken in, hook, line, and sinker...!! The World Government!? What about the plan to hand me over!?" Robin answers that they are in trouble, but not dead yet: "We've found ourselves in a bit of trouble... but we're both safe." Law cannot back them up and tells them, "We can't back you up, but if you need to escape, go ahead and do so." Robin accepts: "Okay then... underst." The crisis splits the team: Law must face Green Bit while Robin and Usopp survive underground.

The appointed time arrives: 3 PM. At Green Bit, Doflamingo steps into view with the laugh "Fuffuffu fuffu...!!" Law stands opposite him with Caesar nearby, and Fujitora's Marines gather behind. Doflamingo taunts, "Gahhhh!! M... Marines!! But wait... maybe that's alright!?" and Law answers, "Oi, Law!!" Caesar, still captive, panics about the power now surrounding them: "Having quit the Shichibukai, I can't help but be a little scared!!!" Law knows the truth now and snaps, "Liar!!" Doflamingo mocks the situation: "Well done, really, I mean it!! And can you believe it! Even a Marine Admiral has shown up..." The exchange point has become exactly what Sanji warned about: not a negotiation, but a staged confrontation with Doflamingo, Fujitora, and Marine forces all present.

At the same time, the Corrida Colosseum begins C-block. The announcer calls, "At the same time: Dressrosa's Corrida Colosseum," and the crowd roars. Luffy, still outside the ring in his disguise, is shouted at: "Strawhat! When did you slip into the ring!?" and "Stop trespassing, Cavendish!!" In the arena, the announcer declares, "It's the 139 fighters of C-block!! Battle royale!! What's gonna win!!?" The starting bell sounds and the crowd screams, "Gyaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!" Doflamingo lays out the meaning of the trap. He says the plan "could never be so simple" and that the fixed misconception "presents the perfect blind spot...!!" Law is furious, but Doflamingo reminds him, "You're a pirate!! Even a Shichibukai wouldn't have that kind of authority!!" Caesar realizes, "Someone with the power to do something so outrageous...!! Only the likes of the Celestial Dragons could manage that!!" Doflamingo answers with a deeper threat: "Fufuffu ffu... It's a much deeper story than that." He tells Law, "You don't know anything of Joker's past. And that will be your downfall!! You could, you be...!?" Then he drops the mask of amusement: "But in any case... Law! I've been wanting to kill you!!" The chapter ends with Doflamingo's power, history, and hatred converging on Law at Green Bit.
