Franky vs. Fukuro

At the undersea passage entrance in the Tower of Justice basement, the steel door Luffy forced open lies smashed and smoking. Chimney grins at the wreckage and says, "Pirate-bro's fun~~!" while Gonbe answers, "Nyaa, nya!" Luffy, no longer tiny from Gear Third, runs through the tunnel with his breath still rough: "Haa Haa." He notices his body returning, "Oh..." and then, "I'm back to normal!" That is enough for him. With the way to the Gates of Justice open, he clenches his fist and charges forward: "All right, wait for me, Robiiiin!!! That pigeon guy!!! I'll send him flying!!!"

Elsewhere in the undersea passage, Spandam, Robin, Lucci, and Hattori hear the impossible noise behind them. Spandam freezes: "I... heard a loud noise just now... Was it just my imagination? No way I imagined that!!" Lucci calmly guesses, "Could it be... the sound of one of the pirates demolishing the door?" Spandam refuses the idea at once: "Huh!? No way in hell!! That's a thick-ass steel door!! First off, there's no way they could find that door!!!" Lucci answers, "No, I think that's possible... A child and her pet were following us." Spandam panics, "Eeeh!? W-why didn't you kill them if you knew that!?" Lucci says, "I... never received an order to..." Hattori cries, "Kuruppooo!" Spandam erupts, "What!!? You dumbass!! Decide those things on your own!" The possibility settles over them: "So, what now...? Does that mean someone's on the way here?"

In the corridor in front of the kitchen, the chapter turns to Franky vs. Fukuro. Fukuro watches Franky run and says, "I see you're quick to run away." Franky insists there was a reason: "Chapapapa. There's no reason for me to purposely take your prideful punches!" He sets himself and calls out, "Franky Triangle..." then launches "Jacker!!!" The attack cuts through the corridor, but Fukuro slips aside. Franky sees the miss, "He dodged it..." and Fukuro smirks with his zipper mouth, making the fight less about raw power and more about whether Franky can land a hit before his cola fuel runs dry.

Fukuro keeps mocking Franky's style. "I would never take that sideburn attack!!! Chapapa!!!" he shouts after avoiding the strike. Franky answers by tearing through the corridor with another heavy attack. Fukuro darts away again, crying "Chapa!!" as the walls crack and debris flies. Franky refuses to slow down and follows with, "Then take this!!!" The clash barrels down the passage, but every dodge is doing exactly what Fukuro wants: Franky is burning power on huge swings and blasts while Fukuro stays just out of reach.

Franky unleashes "Weapons Left!!!" and the corridor explodes around Fukuro. The blast is huge, but Franky immediately feels the cost. "Guh...!!" he groans. "My cola fuel is running out!" He realizes he has to change the battlefield: "Gotta run to the kitchen now!!" Fukuro chases after him, yelling, "Wait up, bastard!!!" Franky grits his teeth because the enemy has dodged again: "Shit! That punk, he dodged it again!? What a spineless dude with excellent fleeing skills." Fukuro hears the insult and snaps, "Chapa!! What did you say!!? Bastard!! You really pissed me off with that line!!"

Fukuro stops running and winds up his own counterattack. "Take this killing blow first!!!" he says. "Super heavy 'Shigan' speed punch!!!" The attack is named "Dugong" with the note that a dugong is a beast majesty and also a herbivorous marine mammal. Fukuro's fist crashes into Franky with "Dugong!!!" and sends him reeling. Franky starts to slump, thinking, "Aaaargh! That tame punch won't do anything to me." He tries to answer with "Strong," but his body betrays him: the cola is too low, and his next punch cannot come out with its usual power.

Franky forces out "Hammer!!!" and Fukuro hardens with "Tekkai!!!" The blow lands, but the sound is wrong. Fukuro barely moves, then answers with another "Dugong!!!" that buries Franky's face and makes him groan, "Mmmmm-mmmf!!!" Franky looks stunned. "...What!!?" Fukuro explains the humiliating truth: "Your punch is a wussy-pussy punch..." Franky stands there, empty tank exposed, while Fukuro keeps provoking him. The same iron body that Franky should be smashing through now turns his low-fuel punches into useless thuds.

Fukuro keeps naming Franky's weakened strikes. "You have a wimpy-limpy punch..." he says. "Nope... yours is the weaky-geeky punch. Then yours is a flimsy-clumsy punch. Yours is a lazy-pansy panty." Franky repeats in disbelief, "Panty?" The insult finally hits the wrong nerve. Franky roars, "That's not a punch!!! Panty is good enough for you!!!" and slams Fukuro with a huge kick and blow instead. The attack batters the CP9 agent through the kitchen-side corridor, proving that even with his cola power low, Franky's stubbornness and body are still dangerous.

The fight crashes into the kitchen in a storm of rubble. Fukuro's round body smashes through the wall and Franky rides the impact after him. Fukuro groans, "Kuh!! Get offa me, bastard!" Franky snaps, "Shaddup, toad mouth!" Hanging meats, cabinets, and broken stone frame the room: Franky has finally reached the place he needed. His cola is nearly gone, but the kitchen offers what the corridor did not: supplies. The problem is that Fukuro is still attached to him and still alive, turning Franky's refill plan into another brawl.

Franky catches his breath in the kitchen. "Haa... Haa... Good lord, I'm finally in the kitchen!!" Then he spots salvation: "Awesome! There's a huge-ass fridge!!" Before he can reach it, Chopper bursts through the wall in a huge form, brawling with Kumadori. Kumadori screams "YOYOOI!!!" and Chopper's heavy body smashes into Franky with "WAAH!!" Franky recognizes the shape and guesses, "Oh, him...!! He's probably a gorilla DF user..." Chopper, lost in his own emergency, realizes the danger of his transformation: "Shit!! I used the Rumble Ball too soon!! 3 minutes have passed already!!"

Kumadori keeps chasing Chopper through the kitchen, shouting, "Withdraw thine life from this world!! Yooou aarrre dooone foooor!! Yoyo!" Chopper grabs the refrigerator and swings the door shut with a loud "Click!!" Kumadori crashes against it, "YO!?" and Chopper locks him inside. "Good! It has a lock!!" he says. "I... I did it! I locked him up!!!" Fukuro looks on and calls the technique, "Kumadori!!!" Franky, still desperate for fuel, yells at Chopper, "Heey!! Hold up, gorilla!!! I've gotta get something from that fridge!!!"

Franky tries to explain himself to the transformed Chopper. "I'm Franky!!! I'm your friend!" he says while Fukuro watches and laughs. Franky adds, "CP9 and the punk!!!" Chopper snaps back, "Who're you calling a gorilla!?" and Franky reminds him, "Listen!! I'm with Luffy; I haven't forgiven you yet!! It was your fault that Usopp left us!! I told you he was with you guys." Chopper answers with the one thing that matters to him: "I do want to save her~~!!!" Franky makes the practical request: "Good! Get 3 bottles of cola from that fridge and give them to me!! Then I can power up!! I'll finish up these bastards with ease and get the keys!" Fukuro and Kumadori interrupt from opposite sides, asking, "How much longer will you be quarreling?" and "It's rude to enjoy a leisurely tea-time during a battle!!!" Kumadori's "ultimate technique" begins with "Dugong Ougi..."

Kumadori unleashes "Fukuro Dataki" with the note "Owl Beat," hammering Chopper with rapid strikes while Chopper cries, "Oowaa-aah!!!" The impact blasts him away and rattles the refrigerator. Franky sees the problem and barks, "Oowah!! Crap!! Right, he's on our side now. I'd better do what he asked me to!!" He rushes to the fridge: "I can open and close it in a second, so he won't be able to come out!!" The door slams open, Kumadori shrieks, "Yoyoi!! Aaah, the dooor is ooooopen..." and Franky grabs inside with a quick "Yosh!!" before slamming the door shut again.

Franky tosses bottles across the kitchen. "Franky!!" Chopper calls, and Franky answers, "Thanks!!" The bottles hit him with "Pah!" and "Trash!" as Chopper munches, "Mmmmmmm...!!!" Franky drinks and erupts in a strange burst of freshness: "FREEE-EEESH!!!" Chopper stares, "Ooh!!" while Franky strikes an absurd pose and declares, "Freshness is the best!!" He then attacks with "Vegetable Puuunch!!" and "TOFU!!!" The punch lands on Fukuro with "Dugong" force, but Chopper realizes something is wrong: "What...!?" The first bottle was not cola. It has turned Franky's power into a bizarre health-food version of himself.

Fukuro identifies the problem: "It's vegetable juice!!!" Franky explodes at Chopper, "Who needs health drinks, damn it!!? Gimme some cola!!!" Chopper protests, "I thought you were just thirsty!" and throws another bottle. "Here you go!!" Franky drinks again: "Mmmw!? Thanks!! Now I'm feelin' GOOD!!!" Instead of powering up correctly, he slips into another wrong personality. "Oh, mon!!" he says, while Fukuro imagines a calm tea scene: "Ah'm done tillin' the soil fer now!" "Ah reckon we should all jus' settle down..." "an' have some tea..." "Ye'all give ya some power." Chopper and Franky both reject it: "Not!!!" "Idiot!!!"

Chopper begins to understand Franky's body in the worst possible way. Watching the transformations, he mutters, "He's so... fun!!" Franky snarls back, "Hey!!! What's up with that 'what'll happen if I give you different drinks?' face!!?" Chopper admits, "I-it's about what you feel like drinking!? I only take cola!" Then he finds the right bottles at last: "Th-these are cola!! These are definitely cola!!" Franky cries, "Oh, thank God!!" Chopper throws them, promising, "Mugh!! I don't know what's going on, but I won't let you do as you please~~!!" But Fukuro cuts across the room with "Rankyaku." The slash hits, Chopper screams "GWAAAAH!!" and Franky shouts, "Fran-kyyy!!" as the bottles fly through the attack.

Outside, the Tower of Justice trembles while Franky's voice rises from the battle: "SUPER~~~!!!" Inside, cola finally restores him. Fukuro notices the change at once: "Chapapa. It's not like you'd change after drinking cola." Franky tells him, "Guard yourself." Fukuro scoffs, "Chapa? What an idiot. Are you gonna use your crappy-flappy punch again?" Franky raises his fist: "Strong..." This time the attack is real. His "Hammer!!!" drives into Fukuro with a massive "Dobe bo!!!" and launches him through the room. Franky stands over the result and says, "Sorry, buddy. 'Til a minute ago, my punches were indeed 'crappy-flappy' ones."
