At Marineford, the pirates stare at a whole line of Kuma-shaped weapons. Someone shouts, "The Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma!!!" Others panic: "Why the heck are there so many of him!?" and "What's going on!?" The pirates recognize them as the same kind of fighters that rampaged at the Shabondy Archipelago and wonder which one is the real Kuma. Viewers at Sabaody yell, "HQ! HQ!! Huge breaking news!!" One observer says he has heard rumors that Dr. Vegapunk is developing a human weapon and sends prototypes to deal with incidents, but asks why they all look like Kuma.
Among the Marines, an officer worries to his uncle that the plan was supposed to begin only once the pirates had been driven into the bay, but the pirates are still scattered everywhere. The Whitebeard allies understand that the Marines planned to drive them into the bay and surround them completely. They realize Whitebeard had already seen through it when he told them to prioritize destroying the ships around the outside. Sengoku orders that even weakened from the left and right, the Marines will crush the pirates from front and back. He commands, "Target the pirate crews under Whitebeard's command as planned!! If they escape from the encirclement, eliminate them!!!"
A Marine asks whether it is all right if they damage their own battleships, and Kizaru answers, "Within reason..." The pirates brace themselves, shouting, "I don't know what's going on here, but we're not going down that easy!!" Sentomaru gives the command, "Move out, Pacifista!!!" Sengoku says, "Begin!!!" The Pacifista open fire and smash into the allied ships and crews, filling the battlefield with explosions and screams.
The Pacifista bombard the pirates and the ships around the bay. Whitebeard says, "So you are not above sacrificing your own forces...!!" but refuses to slow down, shouting, "Pay the forces to the rear no mind, men!!! Push onward into the square!!!" The allied pirates answer with a roar and charge forward through the Marine lines despite the blasts behind them.

A Marine commander orders, "All troops move away from the ice at once!!! The pirates must not be permitted to reach the square!!!" Marines and pirates hurry as Sentomaru shouts, "Charge them down, Pacifista!!!" The Pacifista continue firing, and pirates cry, "To hell with you!" and "Aaaghhh!!!" as they are blasted away. One of the Den Den Mushi screens loses its image with "Pip!" while the chaos spreads.

The screens at Sabaody cut out one by one, and viewers shout, "Ahh!! The visuals...!!!" Some ask, "What's going on!? It's like they're not even human!" and "Are they immortal!?" Sengoku's plan continues: "As soon as all visuals have been cut... mobilize the encircling wall!!! Then we can both execute Ace and eliminate the enemy in one fell swoop!!!" Marines acknowledge the order. On the battlefield, Luffy gasps that Ace is in danger and that he has to hurry, while Ace watches in silence.

Kizaru appears in Luffy's path and says, "It's high time you went back to square one..." He kicks Luffy aside, and Jinbe shouts, "Luffy-kun!!!" Luffy tumbles back through the battlefield. Jinbe, wounded and panting, says, "The admiral came after me... dammit...!!" but insists, "He may be powerful, but we must hurry nonetheless!!" The allied pirates press on, saying that no matter how formidable the enemies are, they were fully prepared for this when they chose to come to Marineford.

Crocodile recognizes Luffy as the brother of Ace and asks whether he is finished already. Jinbe and the division commanders arrive, and one pirate says, "Ah... the division commanders are here...!! Fearsome allies indeed..." The commanders tell Luffy, "You can't let yourself get held up by a single admiral!! Come with us!!!" They add, "With the Marine infantry retreating, this is our chance!! We're gonna break through their ranks!!!" Luffy catches his breath and says, "Right... I'll show him...!!!" while Kizaru calmly remarks, "Ohhh? Dear me- how scary~"
Curiel confronts Moria and says, "Tenth Division Commander Curiel!! If you mean to fight me, then I will simply crush you..." Moria laughs that Curiel's death is already certain as long as he remains trapped in the bay, and that Ace will die and the pirates will be exterminated. Curiel replies that he will let neither the old man nor Ace go to their deaths. Nearby, Vista tells Mihawk, "Let us postpone this match for the moment, Vista," and Mihawk agrees that it would be most advantageous to both of them. Hancock urges, "Luffy...!! You must hurry and save your brother...!" while Tashigi warns Smoker, "Smoker-san! This place is..." and Smoker answers, "I'm quite aware!!!"

Sengoku asks, "Have all the visuals been cut!?" A Marine reports, "Not yet!! It will only be a little longer!!" Another yells, "Only one of the screens is still working!!" and the watchers ask what the voices are saying. One viewer recognizes the figure on the last screen: "Is it really him!? The man who was concealing his true identity until recently... who actually once sailed upon the ship of Pirate King Gold Roger as a member of that legendary crew!?" They wonder, "Could it be... that pirate of pirates, Captain Buggy the Clown!?" Buggy, bloodied but posing for the camera, says, "Well, sure... that's me!"

Buggy reacts with "Huh?" as his followers shout, "Whoa, whoa, Captain Buggy!! Your nose is bleeding! Your face!! Wipe your face!! Let's try this again... take 2!!" Buggy says, "I thought the fact that I'm a legendary pirate was supposed to be a secret, though..." The Marines grow desperate: "I am telling you to cut all visuals right now!! We cannot proceed to the next stage of the operation until you do!!!" The Sabaody viewers also recognize him as a close comrade of red-haired Shanks from Roger's legendary crew, while Buggy smiles into the broadcast and repeats, "Well, sure... that's me!" Sengoku orders, "Put a stop to their antics this instant...!!"

And you're still standing!? Just who are you!?" Buggy answers, "Who, me!? The name's Buggy... the legendary!!" Marine voices demand, "What happened to all the other visuals!?" and "Bring Ace back!! It looked like he was about to be executed!!" Someone orders, "Blow the lot of them to cinders even!!!" As the Pacifista attack continues, pirates shout, "Forget the enemy behind!! Push on forward-!!!"

Whitebeard calls out, "Squardo!" Squardo answers, "Old man!" Whitebeard says he tried to contact him earlier and is relieved he is safe. Squardo says their allied crews in the rear are taking a real beating, but reasons that if the Marines decide to push them from behind, then they will attack with all the forces they have and that is better. Whitebeard says he will join the battle himself and that they must push onward with all their might. Squardo answers, "True enough. Every last one of us owes you an enormous debt. For the sake of the Whitebeard Pirates, we would gladly lay down our lives!!" Marco notices Squardo walking up behind Whitebeard and asks, "Hm? What's Squardo doing up-"

Squardo suddenly runs Whitebeard through with his sword. Whitebeard stands impaled, blood spilling from the wound, while the battlefield freezes in shock. Around him, Marco, Luffy, Jinbe, Crocodile, and other allies stare in disbelief, and the only words on the page are stunned reactions: "...!" and "!!!" The volume ends on the image of Squardo's betrayal.
