The story resumes with Hakuba standing amid fallen bodies. A shocked observer asks, "Wh... who the hell is that guy?!" and another wonders if "Cabbage" is on a rampage. They notice that his clothes are just like Cavendish's, but his face is someone else's. Hakuba, with Cavendish's body and another personality, snarls at Dellinger as "that little, horned turd..." Around him, Dellinger and all the enemy soldiers have been cut down in an instant. The page establishes that Hakuba has taken over Cavendish and wiped out everyone nearby.

Hakuba's rampage leaves Dellinger and the soldiers sprawled across the broken battlefield. Gladius shouts, "Damn it! Dellinger!" and another voice says, "He took 'em all out!" Gladius realizes, "This is the exact same shit that happened in the Colosseum's D Block!" and recalls the announcer saying that, for some reason, all of them collapsed. Someone says, "That sure was fast... what just happened?! I couldn't see a fleeting thing!" Gladius understands that the mystery fighter in front of him is responsible, muttering that this guy is the one doing all of it.

Gladius watches Hakuba and asks, "His clothes are certainly those of Cavendish, but that face is some other dudendish! Who could that possibly be-endish?" Hakuba crashes through the rubble, moving too fast for Gladius to track. Gladius admits, "That scared the shit out of me! This fucker is so fast I can't even keep track of him!" Cavendish's own face briefly surfaces and complains, "What the hell are you playing at, dude? What happened to you?!" Hakuba laughs that planning some crazy, off-the-wall stunt would be taking a joke too far, while Cavendish yells back, "Oi! What the hell did you just glance at?! You better not be planning some crazy, off-the-wall shit!!"

Hakuba suddenly targets Robin. Bartolomeo screams, "Don't you dare touch Robin-senpai~" while Robin leaps away with "Stooooop-ppp!" Hakuba lunges with a whoosh, but Robin catches him with her arms and says, "You've definitely gotten a bit more... melancholy since we last talked... Whatever is the matter, Cavendish-kun?" Hakuba answers that speed is useless against her, but Robin calmly restrains him. The page shows Robin recognizing that the attacker is still connected to Cavendish and stopping Hakuba's attack before he can cut her.

Robin's hold forces Cavendish to reemerge. He shouts, "Robin zenpaya~" and tells Hakuba, "Wait just a minute, Hakuba!" A bystander gasps, "Amazing! She stopped him!" Cavendish says he is worried about Rebecca and is in a bit of a rush at the moment. Robin replies, "I never said it was okay... for you to come out!" Cavendish apologizes, saying, "That was close! My apologies, Nico Robin. It was about to kill you." Hakuba's dark half threatens, "Your arms, your legs and yes your neck! I'll carve them to shreds, Nico Robin! I shall cleave through all!" Robin notes that the Hakuba she has heard so much about is just sleepwalking, while Cavendish says he is quite the bothersome fellow who hacks and kills every living thing around him indiscriminately.

Cavendish argues with Hakuba while Robin listens. Cavendish says, "Don't you show your face here, Hakuba! I am not about to give in to you! Screw you! Go back to sleep, Cavendish!" Hakuba replies that Cavendish does not understand the meaning or purpose behind this fight, while Robin thinks the whole thing has no meaning unless she does it herself. Cavendish and Hakuba fight over control, one shouting, "I must!" and the other, "No me! No I will!" An observer says it is almost as if there are two people talking to each other and calls him "the fucking poster boy for split personality!!" Cavendish's face becomes half Hakuba and half Cavendish as he screams, "He's gone all half-and-half! No me will!"

The half-controlled Cavendish tells Robin, "Okay, I should be okay now. Nico Robin, please, release me," while wheezing. Hakuba still snarls, "Hey! Shut it, Hakuba! I alone am Cavendish!" Bartolomeo marvels that Cavendish really is just half and half back there, then asks Robin if she is sincerely asking him to trust Cavendish after that show he just put on. Gladius, seeing an opening, says, "I'll finish you all off now... while I have this opening! You lot and the wall you're standing on..." The wall begins swelling into a huge bulging mass. A panicked voice shouts, "Blast away! If that shit explodes we ain't just going to blast off somewhere! Someone's gonna lose a limb... or four!"

As the swollen wall threatens to rupture, Gladius calls Bartolomeo an "ass-hole" and says, "He's gonna rupture us along with that wall!" Bartolomeo tells Robin, "You should get down from there for the time being, Nico Robin." She refuses: "What if something happens to Rebecca in the meantime...?" Bartolomeo vows, "I won't let you lay a hand on Robin-senpai!" Gladius says the wall will not burst if Bartolomeo defeats him, and attacks with "Punk Hair!" His hair becomes poison-coated needles that shoot toward Bartolomeo, who is hit and says, "What the...!? My legs are... going numb..."

Gladius swells into a giant black, studded mass and declares, "I am a full-body rupture human! If you stimulate me in this state, my entire body will burst... and thousands of the sort of needles that just pierced you will..." He points out the two people above and orders the others to find their homes. He frames Bartolomeo's choice as a dilemma: if Bartolomeo does not defeat him, the bursting wall is inevitable, but if Bartolomeo attacks, the force of Gladius's bursting body will claim his own life as well. Either way, he says Robin-senpai is going to be attacked. The page makes Gladius's whole body a trap against Bartolomeo's priorities.

Bartolomeo reasons through Gladius's trap. He thinks, "I've gotta beat this porcupine bastard, yet even if I manage that, a huge number of poisonous needles are going to pierce Robin-senpai." He reminds himself that Robin-senpai's life is his number one priority and that he must stop the wall from blowing. Then he notices that next to Robin is a man whose life he does not care about, and calls to Cavendish: "Oi! Cabbage!!!" Bartolomeo asks whether Cavendish can use his body to shield Robin from the poison needles, while Cavendish replies, "Shit! The scary half's come out to play! Shut your mouth, Chicken-head!" Bartolomeo spots a way to prevent the needles from flying all the way up there, despite the problem that he can only deploy one barrier at a time.

Bartolomeo wraps the swelling Gladius in "Barrier Ball!" and cries, "Robin-senpai! If it means protecting you, I will never falter!" Inside the barrier, Gladius dares him, "Burst all you want, asswipe!" and says they are inside an invincible barrier right now. He promises, "I'll start with a stab to your windpipe!" and attacks Bartolomeo inside the sealed barrier. Robin realizes Bartolomeo intends to sacrifice himself, and Cavendish watches with a grin. The page shows Bartolomeo choosing to trap both himself and Gladius so the explosion and poison needles cannot reach Robin.

Gladius explodes inside the barrier with "Fashion Punk!" and a translator note explains it as "full-body rupture." The blast fills the sealed Barrier Ball while Robin cries, "Chicken-kun!" Gladius, rupturing inside the sphere, screams, and Bartolomeo answers, "Eat that, porcupine." Robin says, "That should be enough to stop the wall as well." The page is mostly the contained explosion: Bartolomeo's barrier becomes a sealed arena for Gladius's full-body rupture, preventing the blast from spreading outward.

The blast leaves Gladius badly wounded, and he mutters that Robin was only a few centimeters off: what Bartolomeo stabbed was not his windpipe but his shoulder. Robin calls, "Nico Robin, forgive me!!" while Bartolomeo, poisoned and battered, tells Robin to believe him and release her hands. Cavendish says, "I've suppressed Hakuba! I really am Cavendish now! But I've given Hakuba control of half of my body!" He explains that if Robin releases him, they will use Hakuba's speed to run straight to the sunflower fields. Robin hesitates, asking what she should do, while Bartolomeo struggles to hold on after the explosion and says barriers are convenient after all. Gladius, still alive, says that as long as he draws breath the wall shall not be stopped, and vows, "Savor it, my friend, the moment your friends are blasted to bits."

Robin releases Cavendish, and he bolts away carrying her while the half-Hakuba face snarls, "Why did you stop me!" Cavendish says this is his own body, and Robin tells him, "If that's the case, then... every once in a while... allow me to use it!" Cavendish notes that he stopped Hakuba's sword with his own hand and calls himself an odd fellow. Bartolomeo thinks there is no way they could have outrun that explosion and calls himself lame for using Homage Spirit Fist. He tells Luffy-senpai that he still has a ways to go but will become stronger and stronger. Bartolomeo then drives a final "Pistol" into Gladius, saying that someday he will be the kind of man Luffy can truly rely on.

The fight below ends with Gladius defeated while Cavendish mutters, "I sure ain't joining forces... with that annoying lunatic again!" Bartolomeo, exhausted, collapses with a thump. The scene shifts to level 4, the sunflower fields, where Diamante laughs, "Uwahaha! It seems like quite the party down there!" He tells Kyros, "With a battlefield as unstable as this, forget one foot... it's hard to keep your footing even with two feet!" Diamante attacks Rebecca with "Parry, Butterfly Flowers, Mille Fleur," and Kyros shouts, "Stop!" Rebecca is warned, "Run, Rebecca! You can't block it!" The page has an end marker "ONE PIECE Ch. 773 END," but the next scan page continues the same action.

Robin reaches the sunflower fields and protects Rebecca with "Moth Orchid!" A translator note explains that it is a certain species of butterfly. Giant hands shaped like petals and butterflies bloom around Robin, Rebecca, and Cavendish, blocking Diamante's attack. Rebecca cries, "Robin-san!" while Kyros calls, "Robin-land!" Robin tells Rebecca, "Your mission is over, Rebecca. Thank you for delivering the key." She then says, "I shall... handle the rest!" The page confirms that Robin has joined the fray and taken over Rebecca's role in the fight against Diamante.
