The Hour of Elbaf's Liberation

Voices shout, "WE HAVE TO FREE THEM FROM THIS ARROW!!", "LORD IMU'S IN THERE RIGHT NOW, NOT HER!", "IT'S NO USE!", "WE NEED TO CALL OFF THE PLAN FOR A BIT!!", and "GUNKO! GUNKO! YOU GOTTA STOP THE KIDS!" A long-haired figure reacts with "!!I". In the next panels a warrior with a weapon declares, "IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE, I'D BE DOING IT MYSELF!!" while another retorts, "THAT'S USELESS YOU FOOLS!!" Children scream, "DADDY!! MOMMY!! SAVE ME!!" A massive impact erupts with SFX "わああああ" as a large man swings a weapon, yelling, "WHAT'S THIS MADE OFI! I'M NOT LEAVING A SCRATCH!!" Narration at the bottom reads, "BUT THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING, THEY'LL SOON BE FORCED TO WATCH THE KIDS CAREEN TO THEIR DEATHS!!" while a bearded man in a coat muses, "HMI" and notes, "THOSE PARENTS ARE TRYING TO PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN, BUT THE THORNS WON'T LET THEM TOUCH THE BRATS..."

A massive stitched-faced giant looms in close-up, eyes wide with glee as he roars, "WHAT A JUICY WAY TO DIE!!" and "OH MY!!" Smaller panels show him clutching his face while an off-panel voice notes, "HEY WAIT... THIS KINDA WORKS OUT!! SINCE GUINKO IS BEING CONTROLLED, THE GREAT ONE'S TECHNICALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!!" and adds, "WE CAN ALWAYS SNATCH MORE BRATS AFTERWARD..." The giant continues, "THIS IS GONNA BE... SO TOUCHING!!" while declaring, "I CAN HEAR IT NOW!! THE SWEET SOBBING SCREAMS OF THEIR DEAR PARENTS AS THEY PLUMMET!!" Below, the scene shifts to a devastated landscape where the ship and cloud layer have been wiped away in an unforeseen snafu. Small figures including a horned child and a long-nosed figure tumble amid explosions as narration boxes state the initial plan to ship the tykes off safely to the holy land has failed, warning "ATTENTION BRATS AND PTA MEMBERS ALIKE..." A circled "II" marks the shock.

From above the broken bridge, a voice mocks the children, "IT'S ALMOST COMICAL, I KNOW... YOU'VE COME SO FAR TO FIND A MORBID FINISH LINE AHEAD." Another adds, "THERE'S NOTHING THERE!!" and bluntly states, "SO, TO BE BLUNT, YOU KIDS ARE ABOUT TO FALL TO YOUR DEATHS." The kids react with "HUHI!" and "WHATI!" while one cries, "WE'RE JUST GONNA MARCH OFF THE EDGE LIKE THISI! WE'LL FALL IF WE KEEP GOING!" On the left, a curly-haired woman rides a smoking mechanical mount, shouting, "WE FINALLY GOT ALL OF THE BRATS TO THE HARBOR!" A close-up shows a helmeted man with an eyepatch declaring, "IF GIVING UP MY ARMS IS THE ONLY SUREFIRE WAY TO STOP THEM, THEN SO BE IT!!!" Below, small figures tumble as "GRANDPA OIMO!!" is called out and "SHNK SHNK" sounds accompany impacts and a pained "GUH!!"

Oimo's massive face twists in agony as he cries, "PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!" and "OIMO!!" while a child pleads, "IT'S HURTING YOU!! LET GO, GRANDPA OIMO!!" and "GYAA-AAH!!" echoes amid the struggle. A sequence shows Oimo's arm being wrenched as he yells, "DAMN IT!!" Nearby figures react with "SO WE CAN'T SAVE THEMI!" and "NO WAY...!!!" while one states, "THERE'S NO WAY TO STOP THE KIDS!" A sweating Oimo admits, "IT SEEMS WE REALLY CAN'T DO ANYTHING WHILE THE PFEARROW IS AROUND..." In the wide lower panel the stitched giant laughs wildly, "THOSE DEMONS ARE SCREWING WITH US!!!" as a desperate parent shouts, "YOU EXPECT ME TO WATCH MY OWN CHILD PLUMMET TO DEATHI!" Narration notes the children won't recover if they fall into the realm of the dead.

Helmeted children stand on the crumbling cliff edge, one asking, "YOU GUYS REALLY THINK WE'RE GONNA DIE 'CAUSE WE WERE BADI" Another replies, "ME TOO! IF ONLY I WAS A GOOD BOY..." A girl wonders, "I WAS ALWAYS TOLD THAT TOO... WHEN I GOT IN TROUBLE..." while others murmur, "HUHI" and "THIS IS DIVINE PUNISHMENT, ISN'T ITI" and "I... MUST'VE DONE SOMETHING BAD..." Below, the children tumble through the air screaming, "SAVE ME!!" "HELP!!" "I'M SOWWY!!" and "WHAT!I NO WAY!!" One promises, "I'LL BE A GOOD KID FROM NOW ON, I PROMISE!" In the final panels a small robot-like figure and a bearded man watch as a tearful child in a cap yells, "I WON'T DO ANYTHING BAD ANYMORE, EVER!!" The bearded man laughs, "THE SUN GOD PAYS SPECIAL ATTENTION TO NAUGHTY KIDS, Y'KNOW!!" while noting, "BUT LIKE I SAID, I WON THIS IN A DUEL!"

A young girl in a horned hat sobs at the dinner table while an angry old man in a crown-like hat and fur coat berates her. "HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO TAKE YOUR FATHER'S SWORD!!" "DO YOU HATE MY COOKING THAT MUCHI" "WHY HAVEN'T YOU CLEANED YOUR PLATEI" "THE STRONG SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR THE WEAK! NOW GO AND APOLOGIZE!" The girl cries, "NYOO... I JUST HATE CARROTS..." Nearby, a long-haired woman and another girl argue over homework and lies. "I FORGOT IT ON PURPOSE!!" "WHY DID YOU BRING MY HOMEWORK WITH YOUI!" "I CAN'T PROTECT YOU IF YOU LIE TO ME, YOU KNOW!" "WHY ARE YOU LYING AGAINI!" The old man roars, "I HATE YOU GRANDPA!! YOU AND YOUR SAVAGE PIRATE CREW STINK!" Suddenly the scene erupts in chaos as the girl screams "MOMMY!! I DON'T WANNA DIE!!" while being yanked away. "FWITCH!!" "COLON!" "WAAAA-AHHHHH!!"

The long-haired woman clings desperately to a massive spiked, furry creature on a rocky cliffside as it thrashes. "I'M SORRY... I CAN'T STOP YOU FROM MOVING, BUT I CAN DO THIS MUCH AT LEAST..." The creature roars "AAAA-AAH!!!" and "グサ!!" while she holds on. "COME HERE...!!" She refuses to release it. "IT'S BETTER THAN... LETTING YOU DIE ALONE!!" The creature growls back, "..YOU'LL DIE TOO, MOM!!!" as they teeter on the edge of a long wooden bridge spanning a chasm. "BUT IF YOU DON'T LET GO..." A small onlooker watches in shock from the rocks below. "UGH...!!"

The spiked creature and the woman plummet from the exploding bridge. "RONJA!!" "...BE SAVED, RIGHTI!" "WE'LL....." Explosions rip through the structure as debris flies. "ARGH...!! GREAT BACK THERE...!!" "YOU DID...!!" "PAPA..." Onlookers react in horror. "MA!!" "MOM!" "GRANDPA!!" "MOMMY!!" "MAMA!!" The woman, battered but determined, clutches the creature. "IT MUST BE NICE... HAVING PARENTS LIKE THESE..." "I DON'T MIND BEING SCARY! YOUR FIERCE MOMMY LIVES TO PROTECT YOU!!" "I'M SORRY I SAID YOU WERE SCARY!!" The creature bellows "MY MOMMY!!" "MOMMY!!" as the family watches anxiously from the cliff. "IT'S OKAY... WE'LL BE FINE!! I JUST KNOW IT, WE'LL BE SAVED!!"

Miss Ange is struck violently. "MISS ANGE!!" "JOHANNA!!" A cloaked figure with a cross-shaped weapon appears, declaring "DON'T WORRY, I'M HERE FOR YOU—" only to be rejected: "YOU'RE NOT MY MOM!!" Elsewhere, Bjorn-taso stands ready with a long weapon. "STAY AWAY FROM MY SCHOOL! IT'S EMBARRASSING ENOUGH HAVING A TOTAL NERD LIKE YOU FOR A BROTHER!" The long-haired woman continues her desperate struggle. "BROTHEEER...!!" The spiked creature roars triumphantly amid heavy impacts, "GLEERH!! I'M FIIINE!! IT DOESN'T HUUUURT!!" while being pummeled. "ドドドド" "ドスドス!!"

A massive, grotesque face looms in close-up, laughing wildly with tears streaming down as the speaker mocks a family falling to their deaths. "MY HEART IS QUIVERING!!! WHAT A... TOUCHING STORY!!!" he cries. In the background, a shark-like creature tumbles through the air carrying a tiny rider while debris and a broken structure plummet into the abyss. "LOOK AT THEM!!! THOSE WORTHLESS SCRAPS ARE TUMBLING INTO THE ABYSS!!!!" the man continues, followed by booming laughter: "GIHA HA HA HA!!!" Another voice warns, "IF YOU JUST LET THEM FALL, YOU'D ONLY BE DOWN TEN BRATS!!!" The large man clutches his face, sweat flying, and declares with manic glee, "I HAVE BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH!!! WHAT BEAUTIFUL, MEANINGLESS DEATHS!!!" He adds, "THOSE PARENTS ARE STUPID!!! THEIR LOVE MADE THEM CHOOSE TO DIE WITH THEIR KIDS!!!"

High above the clouds, a massive shadowy form looms as someone shouts "WHATI" and sound effects ring out. Below, Luffy clings to a floating fragment, yelling "SO GET OFF!!" A woman with curly hair and a child in a hat react in panic. The child cries "MOM!!" while the woman says, "I DUNNO, MOM!! BUT WE'RE ALL SAFE!!" and asks "WHERE... ARE WEI" Luffy retorts, "I CALL THAT ONE GUM-GUM RICE CRACKER BELLY!! ANYWAYS, YOU'RE KINDA DIGGING INTO ME..." A cloaked figure with a wide grin declares, "I DIDN'T SIGN OFF ON THIS!! I'M THE GREAT DESTROYER!!" and "NOW LET'S MOVE..." while refusing responsibility: "I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYBODY'S SAFETY!!" Another voice snaps, "YOU GUYS JUST CAME FALLING DOWN ON US OUTTA NOWHERE!! GOOD THING WE WERE PASSING BY!!" and "DID HE SAY 'BACK'I!" A small creature protests, "I DON'T WANT YOU MEDDLING IN MY FIGHT...!!" as someone calls out "HEY, YOU!!" and warns "AS SOON AS WE LAND..."

In a distant view of Elbaf, a small figure on a creature wonders, "WAITI WAS THAT THUNDERI" while an old man with a long beard looks up and asks, "IS IT SNOWINGI THAT'S SO SUDDEN." The scene erupts into chaos as massive drums thunder across the sky with the onomatopoeia "DON-DO-TO-TO!!" and "DON-DO-TO-TO!!" A giant tree shifts violently, sending characters flying. "THE TREE IS SHIFTINGI!" someone yells as another screams "WHAAATI!" Narration and voices overlap: "THE DRUMS OF LIBERATION." "...WILL BOOM OUT..." "ON A CURIOUS DAY WHEN THUNDER AND SNOW BOTH FLURRY...!!" "A GIANT BEAST SHALL APPEAR TO BLOT OUT THE SKIES..." The old man stares in shock, "WHATI!" while the drums continue pounding and the land of Elbaf shakes violently.

A colossal dragon-like beast with enormous horns and jaws bursts through the clouds above Elbaf, carrying Luffy who clings to its head and shouts with excitement, "LOOK HOW BIG YOU GOT!! NOW THIS IS GONNA BE FUNNY!!" The creature lets out a high-pitched "SQUEEENK" as Luffy laughs "AAAH HYAA HYAA HYAA!!" Narration captions declare, "...WILL RISE!!!" and "...AND THE SUN GOD..." while a large text box proclaims "THE HOUR OF ELBAF'S LIBERATION HAS COME!!" The beast crashes through the landscape, scattering debris and smaller creatures as the drums continue to echo. The page ends with the chapter number and "BREAK NEXT WEEK."
