Night falls over Dressrosa as Marines search for the Straw Hats and Law. A die is rolled, and someone asks, "What does it show?" The result is "1," and a Marine says, "'1' is Straw Hat's number. That is what we decided, right...?" Issho replies, "In that case, he's won this one... We shall not capture him tonight." Maynard protests: "Isshou-san!! We've been running all over the country and finally found where he is!!" He argues, "If we're going to take Law and Straw Hat's heads, this is our chance!!" but Issho says a man who keeps yammering after the die has rolled is a disgrace.

At the Royal Palace, the people ask, "Has anyone seen Lucy?" and answer, "No, nobody...!!" Some still worry whether the Straw Hats are really pirates, or criminals, but King Riku says, "To us, they are simply saviors." Rebecca arrives panting and says, "Grandfather!" She reports, "Lucy and his crew aren't in the palace?" Riku says they are together and will probably poke their heads in tomorrow. More importantly, he tells her, "Rebecca... if I'm going to return to the throne... you're going to be princess, aren't you?" Rebecca reacts, "What?!"

The scene shifts to the next day on the Sunny, following the Swirly Straw crew's side. The ship sails through rough water after losing Big Mom's ship. Luffy is absent, and the group argues over the escape. One voice says, "Just when I thought we finally lost Big Mom's ship!" and another asks, "Why do we have to go jumping right back into trouble?" Nami yells at Caesar, "Shut up and do what I say!!! Are you gonna follow orders?! Or do you want your heart crushed?!" Caesar panics and says landing was the right thing because they can still save their friends, while Usopp-like panic from the others says they will never forgive him if anyone dies.
On Zou, the ground is difficult to run on. Nami pants, "This ground is so hard to run on!!" and Brook says, "Yohoho, we're in a fix!! We got separated from the others, eh? Distracted by that mysterious little girl..." Nami trips and cries, "Kyah!!" while Chopper and Brook shout, "Look out, Nami-san!" A strange creature attacks, and Nami yells, "Look out, me!!" The group has landed in a dangerous forest, while Caesar complains, "The eruption rain is coming! Get down!!!" and the enemy asks why they have come to this island.

A huge burst of water crashes over the forest. Caesar shouts, "Rain...!? No!! A giant blob of water!" and Brook says, "Whatever it is, I'll protect you!" Nami is swept up, crying, "Damn high-maintenance Devil Fruit users!" while Brook and Chopper shout, "Nami-san!!" and "Momonosuke-san!!" The water pounds the group and drags the Devil Fruit users down, forcing the others to save them as the strange weather of Zou turns the chase into a flood.

Brook defends the group while carrying Momonosuke and Nami. Nami says, "See! Get it together!!" and Brook replies, "Always appreciated!" An enemy threatens, "I'll kill anyone suspicious!!" Brook counters with "Soul Parade!!!" and the sheep-like opponent attacks with "Sheep's Horn!!!" The clash sends the enemy flying. Chopper, amazed, asks, "What is this ability?" while Momonosuke cries, "Oh!! Great Bone-kichi!!" Brook's ghostly cold power proves effective against the attackers.

Sanji arrives and knocks back the enemy with "Diable!! Mouton Shot!!!" The impact smashes through the sheep-like fighters. One of them cries, "Sheepshead-sama!!" and Sanji demands, "And just who the hell are... who are these guys?" Nami, relieved but disgusted by the enemies, says, "You" with a heart and then "What!? Gross!!" The page establishes that Sanji has rejoined the separated group in time to protect them from the strange animal-themed attackers on Zou.

The enemies retreat after Sheepshead is defeated. One shouts, "Retreat!! Sheepshead-sama has been taken out!" Another says, "Huh!? But the samurai..." and they decide, "We'll report that the samurai wasn't there!!" They say they have searched this far and he still has not shown up. A mink-like girl is seen watching silently, and Nami asks, "Hey... what about that girl?" Someone says, "Well... she must have escaped... As long as she's safe..." The water begins receding, and Chopper hears a call: "Everyone, come quick!!! It's Chopper-aemon! From the forest below!"

At the Kid Pirates' hideout, a huge impact explodes near the shore and shakes the island. The Kid-Apoo-Hawkins alliance and their crews are thrown into confusion. Someone asks, "What's that sound?" and another cries, "An earthquake!?" The crew panics, "An enemy attack?!" and "Gyaaaa!!" The sea and coastline are covered in dust and debris from whatever has just fallen. The sudden disaster interrupts the pirates' plans and signals the arrival of a force far beyond an ordinary raid.

The pirates rush to investigate the crater. Orders fly: "Report what happened!!" and "Get your weapons!!" Someone says, "There's a huge hole!! Captain!!" while Kid and Hawkins stare at the damage. A witness reports, "It appears something fell from the sky!!" The figure in the hole seems human-shaped, prompting questions: "That's human-shaped, isn't it?!" "Where did it fall from...!?" and "Who in the hell did what to who?!" The narrator states, "The strong live... the weak die...!! That is simply... the way of this world."
The pirates wonder whether the falling body came from a sky island. One says, "As I recall, wasn't there a legend around here about a 'sky island'..." and another asks, "So, it fell down from a 'sky island'!?" The impact has capsized one of their ships, and someone shouts, "Captain!! The impact capsized one of our ships...!!" A note explains, "A few minutes earlier: the ruins of the sky island 'Balloon Terminal'," with a translator note that "ballon" is Dutch/French for balloon. On the sky island, someone warns, "You do know that we're 10,000 metres up, right!?" while a high priest tells the jumper to leave.
The narration introduces the falling man. "This man... was looking for a place to die." It says, "Were his tale to be told... as a pirate... he had suffered defeat seven times. By both Marines and enemies, he had been captured 18 times...!!" A translator note explains "Namu" as the first part of a Japanese Buddhist prayer. The narration continues that he was tortured over and over and lived on as a prisoner. "Now... this is his suicide... an almost unheard of suicide by jumping from a sky island..."

The narration expands the legend: "To repeat, he single-handedly challenged the Marines & Yonkou, was captured 18 times, and tortured over a thousand times." When they sentenced him to death forty times, the chains broke when they hanged him, the guillotine blade shattered, and even when they impaled him, the spears broke. In other words, he has sunk nine great prison ships. The page returns to the present as the fallen figure lies at the bottom of the crater after the impossible fall from the sky.

The pirates scream, "Kill this man...!!" but the narration says, "No one could..." The figure rises from the crater, and someone asks, "What is this monster...!?" The narration confirms, "That included the man himself..." The man sits up among the terrified pirates and says, "...Shit...!! My head hurts..." then, "I guess I can't die...!!!" The narration adds, "'Suicide' is his hobby" and "This man's name is..." The Kid alliance stands frozen in front of a creature who just survived a fall from the sky.
The man is revealed: "Kaidou of the Beasts." He mutters, "Damn, I survived again..." and says, "Old man Whitebeard sure did a good job of it..." After realizing Joker has fallen, he snarls, "You bastard... hurry up, Joker! Finish preparing for the final battle!!!" Then Kaido declares, "A world this boring might as well be destroyed!!! It's time to start the world's greatest war!!!" The narration says that among all things that live on land, in sea, or in the air, he is the pirate called "the strongest creature." It ends: "Everyone says, 'In a one-on-one, always bet on Kaidou.'" End marker: "CH. 795 END."
