Bonney and Luffy react to the real Dr. Vegapunk's head. Bonney asks, "What happened to your head?! Wasn't it larger like a lightbulb?" Vegapunk answers that he cut it because it had grown quite large, though Luffy says, "You can't cut it just like cutting a hair!!" Vegapunk explains that when they met last time his body size had grown large like the giants because his head had expanded, and Jinbe says he heard rumors Vegapunk was a large guy, like a balloon. Vegapunk says the truth is that he ate the Nomi Nomi no Mi and became a "brainiac man" who can remember every tiny detail of knowledge. The brain grows bigger with the data capacity because he was born a genius with an unlimited databank in his brain.

Vegapunk says his brain has grown into the world's largest brain and continues to grow. Chopper is amazed: "That was incredible! As a researcher, are you strong too, Dr. Vegapunk?" Vegapunk answers, "Of course!!" Luffy asks whether cutting off his head made him an idiot, but Vegapunk snaps, "Don't underestimate my genius, you damn brat!" He explains that the apple on his head is an antenna. The top of Egghead, behind the giant egg, has "Punk Records" written on it, and Vegapunk says that is a hangar for his brain. Even if he is apart from it, the antenna connects data via psychic waves, so there is no problem.

Vegapunk explains that the six Vegapunks are his clones and that all six share the same personality as him, but the labor force is that of six people. Each one is an expert in a certain field. Once a day, he synchronizes their experiences and knowledge through Punk Records, so their personalities and duties are separate but each of their experiences is worthwhile. Luffy asks whether this is because they share the same brain with him, and Jinbe calls it an incomprehensible world.

Vegapunk expands on his dream for Punk Records. He says that if every person in the world can access his brain, it would be as if all mankind acquired his knowledge, like using the same library. If mankind can also reciprocally update Punk Records, it would create a sea of knowledge far beyond his own brain, and one day this brain could be shared with all mankind. Chopper asks whether every researcher in the world can learn from it, and Vegapunk answers, "Of course!" Jinbe asks if there will be inconvenience if Vegapunk's own thoughts enter it, and Vegapunk says science cannot move forward by worrying about that.

Bonney attacks Vegapunk with the beam saber, furious that he transformed her father into an emotionless combat weapon. She says, "You never change, Vegapunk! You are willing to sacrifice for the sake of science!!" Vegapunk warns, "Stop Bonney! That saber was a failed product!" but Bonney demands, "Just change my father back to normal! If your answer is 'no'..." Vegapunk begs her to think again, saying if she kills him she will end up making more enemies than she can imagine. He tells her to turn off the switch because the beam function attracts a large number of insects. Bonney asks, "Eh?" as insects swarm.

The failed beam saber attracts insects, and Bonney screams "Gyaaaa!!" before fainting. Luffy calls, "Oi Bonney!!" but then cheerfully finds a stag beetle: "Look what I found, a large stag beetle!" Chopper worries she has fainted, while Vegapunk says her reason to kill him makes sense and that he is saved because the weapon she picked is a failed product. He asks whether the group recently went to Wano and mentions a rumor: "Is it true that there's another dragon besides Kaido?"

Luffy realizes Vegapunk means Momonosuke: "Ah, you mean Momo?" Vegapunk explains that Momo ate a failed Devil Fruit that Vegapunk left in Punk Hazard, an artificial Devil Fruit created with a large amount of research funds over 20 years from Kaido's lineage factor. Luffy says Momo became a dragon-like Kaido, could spit fire, was powerful, and became Wano's guardian deity. Vegapunk says the fruit is still a failure because Momo's dragon is pink. Luffy answers, "I see, so he is a genius and a perfectionist," while Vegapunk insists it was a great failure.

Vegapunk discusses the ancient robot. Luffy asks whether Vegapunk can move it because he created it, but Vegapunk says that is wrong: it is the legendary metal giant that attacked Mary Geoise 200 years ago, and the machine was probably created far more than 900 years ago. Luffy and the others are shocked. Vegapunk says he still does not know the reason for its creation and heard it caused no damage because it lacked energy. The researchers at that time were surprised because it used unknown science, and no one knows where it came from or what it was trying to do.

Vegapunk says the World Government ordered the ancient robot's complete destruction, but because of their curiosity the researchers did not destroy it. It still exists because information about it was passed down from generation to generation, and the Government did not know of its existence. Vegapunk asks whether the group noticed the entrance was a wall, and Luffy says they did go rough on it while Chopper insists they did not. Shaka explains by monitor that 200 years ago was the exact year when discrimination against fishmen started, and asks if the robot climbed through the Red Line. Vegapunk answers, "Probably..."

Shaka says they created Vega Force 01 based on everything they learned from the ancient robot, but there are things Vegapunk cannot replicate with his science, and he cannot believe it was a machine soldier made 900 years ago. Franky asks how even Vegapunk cannot replicate it, and Shaka says the problem is power: in the past, there was power enough to change the common sense of the world today. Nami says she is happy Luffy and the others are safe, while Sanji identifies Bonney as a pirate and worries she got in trouble. The scene also shows Vegapunk and Bonney lying on the ground after the insect commotion; Vegapunk says he did bad things to Bonney.

Vegapunk says there were things he wished he had handed over to Bonney, then turns to Luffy: "Also, Straw Hat Luffy! It's fated that you have come here! Can you do something for me?... Can you take me out of Egghead?" At Egghead's shore, Cipher Pol arrives with the Seraphim Kuma, and the guards ask to harbor. A government figure comments that the pet is insistent. The CP ship says, "This is Cipher Pol. We wish to harbor."

CP0 stands on the arriving ship. They have information that Jewelry Bonney is heading to Egghead and identify her as an eyesore who repeatedly escaped, saying next time they meet, they will definitely kill her because they no longer have any use for her. In the lab, Shaka is alerted: "It's the Government's ship!" and the Straw Hats learn that CP0 and Lucci are aboard. Edison says it would be bad if they knew pirates were in the lab, while Lilith says, "Just let them enter!" Usopp and the others panic because Lucci is the assassin, but Robin stays quiet as the crew worries about protecting her.

Shaka orders the lab to prepare to intercept CP0 and decline their request to harbor. On Kamabakka Kingdom in the Grand Line, Dragon sees an explosion-like disturbance and shouts, "Dragon!!" Someone says something strange is happening to Kuma, and Ivankov yells, "Wait, Kuma! You are still under repair!" Kuma, still damaged and smoking, suddenly moves.

On Kamabakka Kingdom, Kuma runs away despite still being under repair. Someone asks, "Where are you going, Kuma?" and says he still cannot move properly, while others shout that he has lost almost all of his conscience. Dragon asks, "What's the matter, Kuma? Where are you going?!" Ivankov yells for him to stop and says that from now on their battle as the Revolutionary Army will start. Kuma ignores everyone and launches away, as people call, "Please come back, Kuma!" "Just stay here!"
