Why a Log Pose is Round

In the collapsing underground ruins, debris falls heavily around them. King Cobra carries an unconscious Luffy over his shoulder. He tosses a small vial toward Nico Robin, who is sitting on the ground nearby. Cobra says, "Have him drink this quickly. It'll neutralize Crocodile's poison..." The vial clinks as it lands on the ground near her ("KARAN"). Robin ignores the vial, staring intently at the large, glowing Poneglyph block in front of her. She reads it and says, "THERE'S ONLY HISTORY WRITTEN HERE. IT'S NOT RECORDED." Cobra looks back at her in shock, exclaiming, "WHAT?" He then looks at Luffy on his shoulder and says, "If he's a rubber human... Then he just might survive. Even if the rubble buries him."

Cobra glares at Robin, sweat dripping down his face. He demands, "WHY... DID YOU LIE TO HIM?" Robin replies calmly, "The history of this country is not carved onto that stone... There should only be information about the 'weapon,' Which your organization seeks...!" Cobra realizes the implication and says, "What a naughty king... Oh, you knew...?" He continues, "This country would have fallen into his hands... Am I wrong? Had you told Crocodile the truth, At that moment, Even where it's located..."

Robin looks away, a trail of blood running from her mouth. She says dismissively, "I couldn't care less about that. I never intended to hand the 'weapon' over to Crocodile in the first place. I don't know, I'm not interested... Whether countries and people live or die," Cobra looks confused and asks, "I don't understand... Then why did you come here?" Cobra asks, "What's that supposed to be...!? 'True History?'" Robin stares at the Poneglyph, sweating slightly. I've searched and searched, and I could find no leads better than this one....This was my final hope. And... It turned out to be the wrong one." She sits amidst the falling rubble, looking defeated. "If I'm to die here, then that's fine... I'm tired of following down this path in life... All I wanted was to know 'History'..."

Tears stream down Robin's face as she smiles a sad, resigned smile. "BUT MY DREAM HAD TOO MANY ENEMIES." Cobra yells over the noise of the collapsing ruins, "WAIT, LET ME ASK YOU...! ARE YOU SAYING THAT'S WHAT THE 'PONEGLYPHS' RECORD!? CAN THE 'UNTOLD HISTORY'... ACTUALLY BE CONSTRUED...!?" He continues, "THEN WHY HAVE WE..." Suddenly, Luffy wakes up with a start, his hand shooting out to grab Cobra's coat.

Luffy grabs both Cobra and Robin, preparing to escape the collapsing tomb. Cobra says, "Alright. Let's head up. I can't believe it..." Robin is shocked as she is lifted up ("WHA!?"). She struggles against Luffy's grip, yelling, "No, wait! I have no purpose left in life...! Just leave me behind!" Luffy looks back at her with an angry, determined expression and shouts, "Why the hell should I listen to you?"

The scene shifts to the Going Merry sailing on a calm sea under a bright sky. Robin's voice narrates, "You made me live when I wished for death... That is your crime..." On the deck of the ship, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Nami, and Chopper stare in absolute shock, their jaws dropped in exaggerated disbelief. Luffy stands casually in front of them, while Robin sits comfortably in a chair on the deck. Robin says, "I have no place to go nor return to. So let me stay on this ship." Luffy smiles brightly and replies, "Oh, really? Shucks, I guess there's no other choice then. Fine by me." The entire crew screams in unison, "LUFFY!!!" Luffy turns to them with a wide grin, "Don't worry! She's not a bad guy!"

Chopper asks, "Archaeologist?" Robin explains, "Sort of my family trade. For 20 years, I've had to live hiding from the marines. Since 8, I was an archaeologist, And had my head placed on a bounty. Since a child can't sail the seas alone, I placed myself under the care of many villains by following their orders. Thanks to that, I'm quite skilled with moving behind the scenes. That should come in handy for your crew." Usopp looks skeptical and says, "Hm, you sound confident... What would you say is your specialty?" He then turns and yells at Luffy, "LUFFY! AFTER CAREFUL INVESTIGATION, I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THIS WOMAN IS WAY TOO DANGEROUS!" Robin rests her chin on her hand, smiles sweetly, and says, "Assassination. <3"

Luffy and Usopp are messing around on the deck. Robin uses her Devil Fruit power to sprout a hand on Luffy's head ("SPROUT"), making him yell "Wahh!" and Usopp yell "AGH!". Robin chuckles, "Fufufu..." Usopp yells at her, "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING!?" Zoro watches them, unamused, and mutters, "Pathetic. Getting handled so easily..." Nami sits in a chair, glaring at Robin. "He's crazy for even accepting in the first place. You were the vice president of a secret criminal organization. A partner to Crocodile, for crying out loud! Even if you've fooled Luffy, You won't fool me! I'll kick you out at the first sign of suspicious activity!" Robin smiles calmly, "Fufu... Sure, I'll keep that in mind."

Robin adds casually, "Oh by the way, I've brought some of Crocodile's jewels with me." Nami's eyes instantly turn into berry symbols as she swoons, "Ohh, I love you so much, sister! <3" Zoro and Usopp yell in protest, "WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, THERE..." Zoro mutters, "Nami's been bought! Damn her underhanded tactics..." Sanji twirls over with a tray of tea and snacks, hearts in his eyes. "Drifting love, My jet black body. <3 As driftwood caught in your stream... Struck by the lightning that is your beauty, My body is sent to fall deeper and deeper down the currents of love... Here is your snack. <3" Robin politely says, "Oh, thank you." Sanji dances away happily. Zoro sighs, "Yeah, that was a lost cause from the start." Usopp agrees, "Well, 'that'... was to be expected." Usopp and Zoro stand together, looking serious. Usopp says, "Looks like we're the last bastions. What a troublesome bunch we have for a crew!"

Chopper and Luffy are playing with Robin's sprouted hands, laughing hysterically. Chopper yells, "Chopper!" and Luffy laughs, "PFFT!". Robin watches them and smiles, "How nice... Is it always this lively?" Zoro replies gruffly, "...Yeah, pretty much." Zoro glares at her, thinking suspiciously, "WHAT IS SHE PLOTTING...!?" Robin just smiles gently and says, "Oh."

Robin asks, "Ms. Navigator, is the log pose alright?" Nami replies cheerfully, "Straight West-Northwest! Everything's A-OK, sister! <3" Usopp mutters, "...She gave you some jewels, didn't she?" Luffy yells, "SANJI! WHEN ARE THE SNACKS COMING!?" Sanji replies from below deck, "WAIT A LITTLE MORE!" Nami asks Robin, "Nami, you think there'll be snow at the next island?...You still want to see snow?" Robin explains, "The log after Alabaster should lead to a fall island." Nami smiles, "Fall, eh? Fall's fine by me too!" Suddenly, small objects start falling from the sky, hitting the deck ("PLINK PLINK"). Sanji looks up, "I don't think this is rain... Is it hail?" Usopp looks up in alarm, "No, I think something's falling d-" A large shadow falls over them.

A massive, heavily damaged galleon ship falls directly from the sky, plummeting towards the ocean near the Going Merry. The ship is in ruins, with torn sails, broken masts, and a gaping hole in its side. A text box reads: "Everything that humans can imagine, Can happen in reality. -Physicist Willy Gallon-"

The crew reacts in sheer terror to the falling ship. Luffy's eyes bug out as he yells, "A FALLING SHIP?" Zoro looks shocked. Nami screams, "A GALLEON...!?" Usopp shrieks in pure panic, "AAAAAAAAA!!!" Sanji drops his cigarette, "WHAT THE..." Robin looks up in surprise. The massive galleon crashes violently into the ocean right next to the Going Merry, sending up a colossal splash of water and debris.

The Going Merry is tossed violently by the massive waves created by the crash. Usopp screams, "AAAAAGGGHHHHHHH!" Nami yells, "HOLD TIGHT ONTO THE SHIP!" Sanji panics, "W-WHAT, WHAT, WHAT!?" Usopp tries to deny reality, "A DREAM! YES, I MUST BE DREAMING!" Sanji yells, "THERE'S STILL MORE STUFF FALLING DOWN! WATCH OUT!" Usopp sighs, "Whew, that's a relief!" Zoro commands, "TURN THE RUDDER!" Sanji argues, "AS IF THAT'D WORK WITH THESE WAVES!" Nami calls out, "Luffy! Protect the ship! She can't take much more!" Luffy replies, "Alright! Hm? Usopp!?" Usopp is sitting on the deck with his eyes closed, "There's nothing to worry about. Just close your eyes like so, And then slowly open them again. And look... It's a calm, beautiful morni-"

A skull falls right in front of Usopp's face. He screams in terror, "GAHHHH!" He yells, "AGHHH! A SKELETON!" Sanji kicks the skeleton away, yelling, "DON'T THROW IT AT ME, YOU IDIOT! THERE'S MORE FALLING DOWN!" Usopp continues to panic, "SKELETOONNNNS!" The scene pans out to show the Going Merry floating amidst the wreckage of the fallen galleon on a now-calm sea.

Luffy looks up at the sky, "Why did... A ship fall down from the sky...!?" Sanji says, "Talk about bizarre...!" Zoro notes, "There doesn't seem to be anything else up in the sky..." Nami looks panicked, "What do we do!?" Sanji asks, "What's wrong, Nami!?" Nami stares at her Log Pose in horror, "THE LOG POSE IS... BROKEN! IT'S STUCK POINTING UP!" Robin approaches her, "...No, you're mistaken. Whose stronger magnetic fields must have caused the log pose to switch to a new log! If the needle is pointing upwards, There must be another island nearby," Robin looks serious, "THAT MEANS THE LOG POSE HAS LOCKED ON... TO A 'SKY ISLAND'...!!!"
