Fired!

On the main island, the Government soldiers recognize Zoro at once. One shouts, "Hey!! I've heard of that swords-man!" and another identifies him: "He's the Straw Hat's underling, 'Pirate Hunter Zoro!!'" Sanji laughs at the label, saying, "Hehehe... they called you an 'underling'." Zoro answers with dry irritation: "That's still better than being the nameless... Pirate 'A'." Sanji snaps, "What'd you say!!?" and Zoro fires back, "Fine, 'B' then." Sanji yells, "Damn you!!! If I get a bounty, it'll be worth twice as much as you!!" The argument starts even as enemies surround them. Sogeking tries to stop them: "Hey! Stop fighting!" and Zoro tells him, "Don't mind them, Sogeking."

The soldiers notice movement from the wrecked Rocket Man. They shout, "Look!! Criminals from inside the train!!!" and "They found us!" A cannon team points toward the train and orders, "Blow 'em to bits, along with the train!!!" Sanji sees the danger and cries, "Hey, wait!!! Nami-san is still inside!!" But the guns fire anyway, blasting the train in smoke and debris while the crew and soldiers around it recoil with "Oo-waah!!!" and shocked "!?" From the wreckage, Kokoro, Chimney, Gonbe, and the others tumble out amid coughing and clattering, their arrival creating more confusion than the Government can immediately understand.

Sogeking lands in a heap and insists, "I... I'm fine!!!" while someone asks, "Are you okay, Sogeking!?" His mask and body tremble, and when a soldier points a weapon he screams, "Ah! That scared..." The order changes immediately: "Cease fire!!! Look over there!!!" The soldiers mistake Kokoro, Chimney, and Gonbe for hostages. Kokoro waves them off with drunken bravado: "Stop!! I'm just an old lady!!" Chimney and Gonbe shout, "And I'm just a kid with a small animal!!" and "Nya nya!!!" A Government voice concludes, "We're defenseless--!!" The defenders hesitate because they think the Straw Hats are using helpless civilians as shields.

The misunderstanding spreads through the soldiers. They shout, "The Straw Hats forced us to pilot the train for them!!" and wonder, "Could there be a drunken hostage...!?" Another cries, "That was close, we almost killed the hostages." The accusation grows worse: "They took an old lady, a kid, and a small animal as hostages! These pirates are shameless!!" Smoke from the wreck drifts upward, and someone notices, "Huh? The smoke is hovering there like a cloud..." From inside that strange weather, Nami appears calmly with the Perfect Clima Tact. She explains to herself, "When heat bubbles mix with cool bubbles... the water vapor in the air turns into a cloud...!!" while someone calls, "Ah!! Nami-san, you're safe!!"

Nami smiles at her new weapon and says, "This Perfect Clima Tact is amazing!!! Both its speed and power are totally different from before!" She decides, "Let's try it out on you guys... with the power of thunder!" As the cloud thickens above the soldiers, they ask, "What's that girl doing?" Nami calls the attack: "Thunder Bolt Tempo!!!" Lightning drops from the artificial cloud and explodes through the Government formation. The soldiers scream "Gyaaaaaaaah!!!" as electricity tears across them. The page makes the upgrade clear: Nami is no longer only using tricks and weather misdirection; her new Clima Tact can strike a battlefield with real destructive force.

The lightning hits friend and foe alike. Sogeking screams, "Soge-king!!!" as the shock clips him too, and one of the allies yells, "It hurts both friend and foe!! I almost died!" Nami looks shaken for a moment, but when someone asks, "Nami, why'd you hit Sogeking--!?" she answers, "Just call it a hunch." She also scolds him: "You're the one to blame for using it so recklessly!!! Plus, Usopp-kun said he never designed it to be used like that!!!" Sogeking can only mutter "However..." while the smoke clears to reveal defeated soldiers everywhere. Nami admits, "That's a really powerful weapon..." and the result proves it: "It beat quite a few of them!"

Nami's strike leaves the battlefield stunned. Sanji, still dazzled, says, "Nami-san, you reminded me of how it felt when we first met!" Zoro grumbles, "Damn it, Nami!! You hit us, too!!!" and Sogeking cries, "Hurry and apologize, Soge-king!" Nami snaps back, "You're the one who should apologize, idiot!!!" The Government soldiers, seeing the destruction, misunderstand again: "Wh... What's the deal with them? I thought that girl was just along for support, but... Clearly, she's one of their main fighters!!" The crew regroups. Nami says, "Dunno... this island isn't small... so, if we have to search..." while Sanji wonders, "I wonder where that idiot who rushed in first is..." They know Luffy is somewhere ahead.

A blast from deeper in the island answers the question. The group looks toward the smoke and Nami says, "We should start there!!!" Sanji, holding his weapon, says, "Now then..." Zoro answers, "Let's go!" and Chopper steels himself beside them. At the same time the Hou-Bantai seethe with rage. One snarls, "Grrr...!!! How dare these pirates cause a ruckus on Enies Lobby!?" Another declares, "Their actions here are definitely unforgivable!" The rescuers are ready to follow Luffy's trail, while the island's law-guard corps prepares to punish them for invading the sacred Government island.

At the Enies Lobby island center, Luffy is already fighting alone. He crashes through soldiers with the cry "Or-yaa!!!" and swings wildly through the crowd. A guard lands a blow with "Whack!!!" but Luffy pushes forward, grimacing with an "Un!" and striking back. His limbs stretch through the formation, smashing multiple enemies aside while the soldiers shout "Oh-waah!!!" and "Geh haa!!!" The page shows the same truth the Government reports keep failing to control: Luffy is not waiting for his crew, and he is not negotiating. He is forcing his way through the island by sheer persistence.

Luffy keeps climbing through the defenders. He starts another attack with "Gomu Gomu...!!" and drives a stretched kick into the enemy: "Spear!!!" The impact makes a soldier choke, "Geho!!!" Then Luffy launches himself upward, bouncing from the chaos into a tree as someone cries, "He jumped into the tree!!" The soldiers below panic with "Oo wah!!!" The enemies are not individually strong enough to stop him, but their numbers are slowing him down and keeping him from reaching Robin.

The crowd around Luffy suddenly begins to move. He notices and asks, "Huh? They're leaving?" A commander orders, "Send half of our men to the front gate!!! The pirates have breached the gate!!! We must stop them!!!" Luffy grins when he realizes what that means: "They're here!? Great! Now, this should be fun!" With the enemy splitting their numbers, his odds improve. He keeps dodging and firing back as soldiers shout, "He's over there!!!" "You missed!!!" and "Damn it!" Luffy answers simply, "Okay!" while the chase continues through smoke and stone.

At the base of the front gate, the Hou-Bantai respond to the breach in full force. The map marks the base of the front gate, and the unit declares, "We were ordered to defend this gate!!!" and "The Houbantai knows no failure!!!" Their leader roars, "No one shall pass this line of defense!!! It's over, you villains!!!" The formation is large, disciplined, and backed by guard dogs. But the rescuers do not retreat. Sanji, Zoro, Chopper, Nami, Sogeking, the Franky Family, and Galley-La face the line while one ally shouts, "Wait!!! There are so many of them!!!"

The rescuers prepare their own answer to the Hou-Bantai wall. A massive bull from Water Seven charges in, and someone yells, "Get on!!!" The animal bellows "Bahi hihi!!!" while the crew and allies scramble onto it. Nami, Chimney, and Gonbe call from behind, "We're saved--!! Don't forget why we're here!!" and one of the fighters shouts at the animal, "This isn't where you should be!!!" The bull is not supposed to be part of the battle, but it has become a living battering ram and transport. In the chaos of Enies Lobby, every ally, beast, and vehicle becomes part of the rescue effort.

Sanji and Zoro understand that enough fighters are already holding the rear. Sanji says, "He's right. There are enough here to keep us fighting until the sun goes down." The King Bull surges forward while the allies grab ropes and shout, "We're gonna charge forward!!! Grab the ropes!!!" The Franky Family call, "They're running away!!" but the motion is deliberate. The bull is identified by a startled guard: "It's a King Bull from Water Seven--!!!" The order rings out: "Get outta the way!!" and "Ready the cannons!!!" The Franky Family grabs onto Gomorrah, shouting, "Charge forward with Sodom!!!" and "Franky Family, grab onto Gomorrah!!!" as the whole group splits into a forward assault and a rear guard.

The charge tears into the Hou-Bantai. Chimney and the others shout, "Charge! Charge!" while the unit laughs, "Ngagaga! They're so full of spirit!!" Cannons fire with "Bam!!" and "Bang!!" and allies yell, "Don't die!!!" The guard dogs leap, and one officer boasts, "Fools!! Our guard dogs are... much faster than those oversized fish!!!" The reply from the rescuers is immediate: "Jump on--!!" The dogs and riders try to get aboard the moving beasts, and someone warns, "They're trying to get on!" while another cries, "Hold on to the ropes!" Sanji watches the enemy board and says, "You......"

Sanji takes command with a calm, cutting message. He tells Sogeking, "When you see them... tell them this for me." Then he turns to the enemy clinging to the animals and says, "You're fired!" Zoro smiles behind him and adds, "... Of course!" The Hou-Bantai still shout, "They're all yours, Galley-La!!!" and "I'm gonna skewer you!!!" as they leap aboard, but Sanji and Zoro have already decided the cleanup belongs to the shipwrights. The title of the chapter lands here: the intruders trying to ride along are being dismissed from the fight before they can slow the rescue party.

Galley-La answers Sanji's cue with shipwright ropework. The attack name cuts through the page: "Half-Knot Air Drive!!!" Ropes snap, bodies lift, and the Hou-Bantai are hurled off the moving beasts. The battlefield erupts as the defeated guards are thrown aside and others ask, "Who are these people--!?" The defenders finally understand the scale of the opposition: "They're... so strong!!!" Galley-La and the Franky Family hold the line with overwhelming pressure, while the forward rescue party pushes deeper into Enies Lobby. The last command is clear and steady: "Leave them to us!!!" The chapter closes with the rear guard proving they can protect the advance, allowing the Straw Hats to keep chasing Robin.
