Sanji stands smoking, saying, "HE WAS REHEARSING AT THE COAST. FOR REAL!I" Nami replies, "YEAH." Usopp's voice echoes, "USOPP WILL COME BACK!I" and Chopper gasps, "EH!I" The crew reacts in shock outside the Galley-La Company building. Luffy shouts, "WOO HOO! USOPP'S COMING BACK~~~~!!!" while Nami adds, "HE'S NOT DOCILE AT ALL." Sanji yells, "WAIT UP, GUYS!!!" and "WOW!! GOOD TO KNOW!!! LET'S GO FETCH HIM IMMEDIATELY!!" Zoro appears stern, declaring, "I WILL NOT APPROVE OF HIM UNTIL HE APOLOGIZES!!" and "NO MATTER WHAT, YOU SHOULDN'T TAKE A MODEST APPROACH." He clashes with Sanji as Nami protests, "HEY, WHY ARE YOU SAYING SUCH THINGS-" and Chopper cries, "ZORO!!!" A man in the background is confronted by the crew, with someone shouting, "GO FETCH HIM. I WON'T LET ANYONE" and Chopper exclaiming, "EEEEH!I WHY!I"

Zoro stands firm, stating, "AS LONG AS THE TWO DECIDED TO FIGHT, THE OUTCOME WAS ENTRUSTED TO THE MATCH." He continues, "WHATEVER THE THOUGHTS WERE IN LUFFY AND USOPP'S ARGUMENT, AND NO MATTER WHO WAS CORRECT," and "IN THE END, HE LEFT US. AND LEFT US." Luffy looks downcast with "..." Sanji adds, "HE IS OUR CAPTAIN. LISTEN, GUYS. EVEN THOUGH HE'S A BIG IDIOT," while holding his swords. The scene shifts indoors where Nami says, "WILL SURELY COLLAPSE!!!" and "A CREW WHOSE CAPTAIN HAS LOST HIS DIGNITY" as the crew sits dejectedly. Zoro concludes, "IT'S BETTER NOT TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO CANNOT PAY DUE RESPECT TO HIM" and "AS PART OF THE CREW....!" with Luffy's hat visible among them.

Luffy roars, "THEN I WILL BE THE ONE TO LEAVE THE CREW!!!" clashing with Zoro who shouts back amid impact effects. Zoro retorts, "IT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS THAT YOU USUALLY JOKE AROUND, BUT IF YOU HUMILIATE YOURSELF YET STILL WANT TO CLAIM ANY PRETENSE OF BEING MY LEADER," while Luffy yells, "OF EXCUSING HIMSELF AND TRIES TO SWEEP THIS UNDER THE RUG!!" and "BUT I WILL NEVER LET HIM BACK IF HE HAS NO INTENTION" as the crew watches in the background. Nami cries, "EEEEH!I THEN WE'LL NEVER COME TOGETHER!!" Chopper and others react with shock. Zoro presses, "IS LEAVING THE CREW SUCH A SIMPLE THING!I" and "BUT WE CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT HIM AS MUCH AS WE WANT AFTER HE COMES BACK...." while warning, "IF THAT HAPPENS, WE'LL LEAVE USOPP BEHIND ON THIS ISLAND!!" Luffy looks devastated as the crew stares in disbelief.

Zoro glares and declares, "IN THE FUTURE THERE'S NO WAY WE CAN TRUST A GUY WHO DOES SUCH A THING ON A WHIM....!" Chopper looks worried as someone notes, "HE'S GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME....!!" Nami says sadly, "NAMI-SAN... UNFORTUNATELY," while another voice trails, "...!! NO... BUT..." Sanji shouts angrily, "WE AREN'T PLAYING PIRATES LIKE KIDS HERE!!!" Luffy stands with a grim, tear-streaked face as the crew debates Usopp's words. Nami suggests, "IF THE FIRST THING USOPP SAYS IS HIS DEEPEST APOLOGY, THEN IT'S ALL RIGHT FOR HIM TO COME BACK... SIMPLY PUT..." The scene shifts to the Galley-La shipyard where Iceburg stands with workers. Someone says, "THERE ARE STILL SEVERAL DAYS UNTIL THE SHIP IS COMPLETE AND WE SAIL OUT!" Luffy stares intensely as a voice calls, "FAREWELL... USOPP." Luffy thinks, "I HAD... FUN."

A massive Marine ship sails past Water 7 as sailors shout, "THEY'RE ON SHIPWRECK ISLAND AND ARE ABOUT TO SAIL OUT!! WE'VE SPOTTED THE STRAWHAT CREW ON THE SOUTHEAST COAST. WE'LL HEAD THERE IMMEDIATELY. GET ON-BOARD!!" The scene cuts to Marine headquarters where Vice Admiral Garp lounges. Sengoku yells, "IT'S ALL BECAUSE YOU SAID 'HE'S MY GRANDSON' ON THE PENDEN-MUSHI. WE ENDED UP RETURNING BECAUSE HE GOT ANGRY AT US...! TALKING BIG AND ALL!!" Garp replies casually while others react with embarrassment. A Marine warns, "A-ADMIRAL, SIR... IS IT OKAY FOR YOU TO BE HEREI"

Usopp sprints through the streets of Water 7, shouting, "THEY'RE ALL WAITING FOR ME!! WE HAVE A MAGNIFICENT SHIP, TOO!! ALL RIGHT! I'M COMING BACK TO MY NAKAMA!!" In a flashback he imagines the crew begging, "I CAN COME BACK TO YOU GUYS AS A VICE CAPTAIN"!!!" and crying for him to return. Usopp grins and declares, "I HAVE 100 PATTERNS TO COUNTER THEM!! BUT NO MATTER HOW THEY TREAT ME, ALL I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IS HOW I'LL GO BACK TO THEM. THE BEST FIRST LINE I COULD THINK OF IS: 'THANK YOU SO MUCH, VICE CAPTAIN USOPP!! WAAA!!'" He runs onward, thinking, "ALL RIGHT, I'VE GOTTA HURRY!! I REALLY HATE TO GO, BUT GOODBYE, 'WATER CITY' WATER 7!!" and "MAYBE THEY'LL SAY THEY'D DO ANYTHING I SAY AND BEG ME TO COME BACK, AHAHAHA. I'M INDEED A MAN WHO TAKES ADVANTAGE OF EVERY SITUATION."

The Thousand Sunny sets sail from Water 7 with the cry, "SET SAIL!!" Franky Family members cheer from the dock, "FRANKY FAMILY WILL NEVER DIE!!!" and "BRO, WE WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH!!" The ship glides away as the Straw Hats stand on deck. Sanji says, "EVER SINCE SANJI TOLD US THE STORY, I WAS WAITING FOR HIM!!" Zoro glares and states, "ARE YOU SURE, STRAWHATI DON'T YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR ONE MORE PERSONI" Luffy and Nami react with surprise as Chopper pops up, calling, "LUFFY!!!" Nami shouts, "HEY, LUFFY!!"

Robin stands with a serious expression as she reflects, "I DON'T THINK HE'LL QUIT BEING A PIRATE, SO HOPEFULLY WE'LL SEE HIM ON THE SEA SOMETIME!!" Luffy bursts into laughter, "THIS IS HIS ANSWER!! I'M SURE HE... WILL HAVE FUN, TOO." A voice adds, "SO SOMEONE COULD WELCOME HIM, BUT HE NEVER SHOWED UP!!" and "I WAITED FOR HIM IN THAT ROOM AT GALLEY-LA." Luffy continues laughing with the SFX "わははは". Suddenly Luffy reacts in shock, "...!!! GRANDPA!!I" as the scene shifts to a massive marine warship approaching the city docks. Marines shout, "GRAP!! THEY'VE FOUND US! IT'S THE MARINES!!" The warship fires, sending massive splashes. Luffy yells, "YOU WOULDN'T ARREST US HERE!!" Garp appears with a megaphone, declaring, "THIS IS YOUR GRANDPA. THIS IS YOUR GRANDPA. HEY, LUFFY-CAN YOU HEAR ME!I" Panic spreads as someone shouts, "EVERYONE, RUN! IT'S VICE ADMIRAL GARP'S WARSHIP!!"

Garp's warship looms over the water near the city as he calls out, "IT'S NOT LIKE I CAN MAKE UP FOR IT, BUT I'LL FACE YOU GUYS BY MYSELF!!" Luffy screams back, "BEEEEEEH!!!I" Garp continues, "SO I'M SORRY TO SAY THIS, BUT I'LL HAVE TO ASK YOU TO JUST DROWN AND DIE!!" Someone replies, "YEAH, THINGS HAPPENED." The ship fires a cannonball with the SFX "ゴゴゴゴゴ". Sanji watches tensely, asking, "WHAT IS HE GONNA DOI" as Garp winds up and hurls another massive shot labeled "CANNON-BALL." The impact explodes violently with the SFX "ドゴォォン" and "ゴゴゴゴゴ", sending debris flying. Garp yells, "METEOR!!!" as the massive projectile crashes into the water near the ship.

Nami cries out in panic, "IT CAN'T BE HELPED!! WE HAVE TO RUN AWAY OR OUR NEW SHIP WILL GET WRECKED!!!" Garp laughs heartily, "BWAHAHAHA!! I WISH I DIDN'T GET OLD. MY POWER HAS BEEN DECLINING LATELY!!!" Sanji stares in disbelief, "IT FLEW MUCH FASTER THAN A REGULAR CANNONBALL WOULD, TOO. DOESN'T HE KNOW IT'S NOT A BASEBALL!!I H-HE THREW THE CANNONBALL WITH HIS BARE HANDS!!I" Garp orders his marines, "NO GOOD, WE'RE GONNA GET MORE OF THOSE CANNONBALLS!!" and "BRING A THOUSAND CANNON-BALLS!!!" as they load the cannons. Garp then grins widely and declares, "KIDSI... SHALL WE BEGIN," before unleashing, "GENKOTSU METEOR STREAM!!!!" The crew reacts in shock as the barrage begins.

Sanji mutters tensely, "SHIT!! IS HE REALLY NOT COMING...I" as the Thousand Sunny sails at full speed. Garp's ship fires more cannonballs with the SFX "ゴゴゴゴゴ". Sanji orders, "FULL SPEED AHEAD!! WE'LL SMASH THE CANNON-BALLS!!" Usopp spots something and shouts, "HEEEY, GUYS, USOPP'S HERE!! HE'S HERE!!!" Chopper yells excitedly, "USOPP IS HERE! REALLY!I" From the broken dock Luffy calls out desperately, "I'M STILL HERE!!! HEEEY!!!" as the crew on the ship reacts with surprise. Usopp asks, "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!I" while Chopper panics, "OUT OF THE WAY, OUT, OUT." Luffy yells, "HEY, THE STAIRCASE IS BROKEN!! WATCH OUT!!" The crew stares in confusion as the ship pulls away.

Usopp leaps back into view atop the ruined structure, shouting desperately, "HEY, GUYS... DON'T WORRY!! I'M BACK HERE!!" Below, the crew reacts in shock. "WHAT'S GOING ON!I EVEN AFTER OUR QUARREL, WE FOUGHT TOGETHER. I'M THE SOGEKING!!" someone yells. Franky, laughing wildly "BWAHA-HAHA!!", hurls a massive black cannonball toward the ship with both hands, yelling "HERE YOU GO, MORE, MORE, MORE!!" The Going Merry rocks violently from the impact. On deck, crew members spot the returning sniper: "USOPP'S HERE!! LUFFY!!" and "PROTECT THE SHIP!!" as explosions and debris fill the air.

Explosions rock the battlefield as Franky charges through rubble, growling "BAS-TARDS..." while the crew fights back. Chopper yells "CHOPPER!! THE WEATHER'S GREAT TODAY!! BUT IT'S NOT TIME FOR THAT, HUH!I AHAHAHA. LET'S GO FISHING!!!" Franky roars "HEEE-EEEEEY!!! RE-JOICE!!! IT'S ME!!!" Usopp, tearful and kneeling, apologizes: "SORRY FOR CAUSING TROUBLE UNTIL THE VERY END. I CAN'T... COPE WITH YOU GUYS ANYMORE." Luffy shouts back "HEEEEY!!! LUFFY!!! GUYS!!!" as Franky declares "WHEN I'M BACK, I WON'T MIND BEING A VICE CAPTAIN FOR YOU!!! BY THE WAY, I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU GUYS!! DON'T BE SURPRISED."

Tensions flare as the crew argues. "HEY, SAY SOMETHING!!!" "WE'VE HAD LOTS OF ARGUMENTS, BUT WE ARE NAKAMA!!" "WE'VE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOREVER!! YOU KNOW I WOULD NEVER SAY SUCH A THING SERIOUSLY!!!" Usopp yells. Luffy insists "I DIDN'T HEAR ANY-THING!!" while Zoro and others react. Usopp stands firm: "I SEE... I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!...ARE YOU REALLY GONNA LEAVE MEI" He turns away, declaring "I'M LEAVING THE CREW. IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS TO KNOW WHERE I'M GOING. IF THAT'S HOW IT IS... LET ME SAY ONE LAST THING..." as tears fall and the ruined city looms behind him.

Franky, transformed and covered in mechanical parts and foam, screams with tears streaming down his face, "I WAS WRONG!!! I'M ZOWWY FOR BEING SDUBBORN!!! I'M ZOOOWWWY!!!" The massive battle ship barrels forward through the wreckage toward the city gates marked "5". Usopp watches in stunned silence from the rubble, reacting with "USOPP!!!" and "....!!!" Nearby panels show Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji's shocked expressions. Usopp reflects, "AND I KNOW I SAID I LEFT DA CREW!!! I KNOW IT'S SHAMEFUL!!!" as the ship crashes onward with a massive "ドーン" impact and debris flying everywhere.

Franky’s massive face fills the page in a dramatic close-up, tears and snot streaming down as he screams in anguish. “WHAT I SAID!!!I” he cries, followed by desperate pleas: “CAN I… CAN I TAKE BACK”. Smaller panels show his tear-streaked face begging, “PLEASE …!!!” and “PLEASE LET ME STAY YOU GUYS!!!” while he stands on the bridge reaching out. The largest panel erupts with impact lines and the sound “PYUU!!” as Franky bawls, arms outstretched, shouting, “PLEASE MAKE ME YOUR NAKAMA ONE MORE TIME!!!”

Luffy stares in shock while Franky kneels on the dock, hand extended over the water toward the Going Merry. “LUFFY…” Franky sobs. A huge close-up captures Franky’s tear-soaked face yelling, “AND GRAB MY HAND!!!” and “AND HEAD FOR AN ADVENTURE, GUYS!!!” The crew reacts with joy and laughter: “FINALLY… EVERYONE’S TOGETHER!!!”, “YOU’RE THE IDIOT!!”, “MWAAH…!!!” and “AHA-HAHA…!!! YOU GUYS LOOK SO LAME!” The ship sails away amid cannon fire and waves as the Straw Hats celebrate Franky’s acceptance.
