Massive sound effects "ああああああああああ" fill the sky as the Thousand Sunny sails away from Wano. A narration box reads: "...AS IT GRADUALLY LEAVES WANO BEHIND." Another states: "THE SHIP FOLLOWS THE LOG POSE..." and "LOOKING AHEAD!" Luffy, covered in sweat, declares "I'M... SWOOWY..." while a voice yells "GYAAA!!" and "YOU SORRY EXCUSE FOR A CAPTAIN!" Below, the crew reacts in panic. Nami shouts "THAT BRAIN DEAD STUNT ALMOST KILLED THE ENTIRE CREW!!" Jinbe warns "WE NEED TO KEEP HIM ON A TIGHT LEASH, JINBE!!" Usopp cries "DON'T BE TOO HARD ON HIM. WAHAHA! NO ONE WAS HURT," while Nami finishes "THERE'S A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH STUPIDITY WE'LL SWALLOW!" Luffy's title "MON EMPEROR STRAW HAT LUFFY" appears prominently.

Elsewhere on Emptee Bluffs Island, a circus tent displays a massive cross-shaped Jolly Roger. A voice declares, "HE'S THE REAL DEAL! THE WORLD'S GREATEST SWORDSMAN... TALK ABOUT SCARY!!" Buggy's underlings panic, "WE SHOULD'VE KNOWN CHAIRMAN BUGGY HAD SOMETHING UP HIS SLEEVE!" Buggy screams, "I'LL DO ANYTHING! I'LL EVEN... LICK YOUR BOOTS CLEAN! JUST LET ME LIVE!" as the poster reads EMPEROR BUGGY THE BOMBASTIC CLOWN.

Galdino yells, "I DON'T RECALL EVER JOINING YOUR CREW OFFICIALLY, BUFFOON! GALDINO! HOW COULD YOU TURN ON MEI!" Buggy laughs, "IT'S SO NOSTALGIC TO BE SERVING YOU AGAIN, BOSS... OH, BOSS..." A poster labels him FORMER BAROQUE WORKS AGENT (CROCODILE'S UNDERLING) GALDINO. In a lavish room Crocodile stands with arms crossed while Buggy's crew relaxes. Crocodile asks, "WHAT DO YOU WANT, CROCODILEI" Mihawk replies, "...YOUR WARLORD PERKS, HAWKEYEI" Buggy laughs, "KUAHAHA! I HEAR YOU'VE LOST..." A poster reads GLOOM ISLAND. Crocodile states, "IT'S A COLD, HARSH WORLD OUT THERE. FOLLOW CROCODILE, NATURALLY....WHAT ARE WE MEANT TO DOI SINCE THE CHAIRMAN'S A GONER..."

Crocodile sits at a desk, "THE NAVY WOULDN'T TAKE AN ORGANIZATION HEADED BY THE TWO OF US LIGHTLY! THIS JUST SHOWS THAT IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL FOR US TO TEAM UP! IT'S A NUISANCE, BUT I SUPPOSE I'LL JUST HAVE TO RELOCATE. MARINES KEEP SWARMING THE ISLAND..." Mihawk adds, "AFTER ALL, THEY USED TO REFER TO YOU AS 'MARINE HUNTER'!" Buggy panics as an explosion rocks the room, "EEK!!" Crocodile and Mihawk glare, "WE DON'T TRUST ANYONE!! YOU AND I ARE THE SAME..." Outside, crew members shout, "TAKE A LOOK! A massive blast erupts as the crew scatters.

A massive naval battle rages as multiple Marine warships sink one after another amid explosions and smoke. Pirates on the shore stare in shock. "WHATI! WHAT KIND OF HERO IS BEHIND THISI!" someone yells. "THEY KEEP SINKING, ONE AFTER ANOTHER!" another cries. "THEIR WARSHIPS ARE WHAT-I!" A subordinate reports to a Marine officer, "IT'S CROCODILE, SIR!" Nearby pirates react with awe: "I GUESS THE RUMORS ABOUT HIM WORKIN' UNDER CHAIRMAN BUGGY ARE TRUE!! TALK ABOUT INSPIRING LOYALTY!! HE'S RISKING HIMSELF JUST TO SAVE US FROM THIS!!" Crocodile appears riding a massive mechanical construct labeled "WARAI", striking a dramatic pose. In another panel a massive furry creature panics, "I'M BROKE! WHAT SHOULD I DOI! THIS IS EVEN WORSE THAN THE MARINES!" while a voice adds, "HOLY CRAP! HE MUST BE HERE BECAUSE OF ALL THAT CASH I OWE HIM!!" Buggy's crew cheers, "OH, CROCODILE'S HERE, HUHI HEHEHE... THAT'S OUR BUGGY!!"

Buggy and Crocodile argue inside a lavish room. Buggy protests, "BUT THE TRUTH IS WE'VE GOT TOO MANY MOUTHS TO FEED! AND ALL THE GIANTS, WHO WERE OUR TOP EARNERS, JUST QUIT!!" Crocodile counters, "IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY SCRATCH ON HAND, I CAN ALWAYS SELL YOU INTO SLAVERY." Buggy pleads, "OH C'MON..." Crocodile declares, "I'M ABOUT TO FORM MY OWN COMPANY, AND I NEED THE CAPITAL... YOU WILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY. I ALREADY DID YOU A SOLID BY AGREEING TO LEND TO YOU. IF YOU CAN'T PAY ME BACK NOW..." Buggy panics, "DON'T SAY STUFF LIKE THAT!! WE'RE OLD PRISON BUDDIES, REMEMBERI!" Crocodile smirks, "CROCO-CHAN!" Buggy desperately offers, "WE'VE GOT ALL SORTS OF PEOPLE THAT CAN HELP WITH THAT... ADVERTISING EXPERTS, PRINTERS, COURIERS! YOU CAN WORK US TO THE BONE FOR FREE!" and adds, "I'LL WORK TWICE AS HARD TO PAY OFF MY DEBT! IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO BE FLASHY AND GET THE WORD OUT WITH A BANG!"

One Marine spits, "SPUTTER!" Another exclaims, "OWEE!" A group including a dog-like creature and a large man stares at the Cross Guild flyer. "THIS BUGGY CHARACTER..." one says. "HUHI!" another reacts. A Marine holds up the poster and shouts, "I COULDN'T STOP MYSELF FROM GIVING YOU THE TOP-BILLING, BOSS! HEY, WHAT'S WITH THAT PYERI!"

A Marine intelligence officer reports, "OUR TAPPING DIVISIONS HAVE ALSO VERIFIED THAT CROCODILE AND MIHAWK MADE CONTACT. AND NOW REPORTS CONFIRM THAT CROCODILE CAME TO HIS AID AT EMPTEE BLUFFS ISLAND. THAT'S HOW HE FORMED A CLOSE BOND WITH ONE OF THE EMPERORS, RED HAIR. HE WAS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE PIRATE KING'S CREW!" Another poster reveals Dracule Mihawk's bounty of $3,590,000,000, noting his superior sword skills compared to the Red-Haired Emperor.

Mihawk, wearing his wide hat, replies calmly: "I, FOR ONE, HAVE NO INTEREST IN THE TITLE OF EMPEROR... SO LONG AS I'M ABLE TO LIVE IN PEACE." He continues, "ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, WE COULD TAKE A DIFFERENT ANGLE HERE... HAVING HIM TAKE ALL THE HEAT AS A FIGUREHEAD MAY NOT BE THE WORST IDEA." A surprised "!I" punctuates the exchange.

Mihawk affirms "THAT'S TRUE." while Crocodile adds "WE CAN ALWAYS DISPOSE OF HIM IF THE NEED ARISES." Buggy sweats profusely with "!!!!" as Crocodile growls "SERIOUSLYI!" The scene shifts to a grand stage where Buggy dramatically announces "LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR NEW EXECUTIVES!" and "LISTEN UP, YA BASTARDS! WE FORMED THE CROSS GUILD TO PREPARE FOR THE NEW AGE!" A massive crowd cheers wildly with raised fists and weapons. Buggy's laughter echoes "わちあああああああああちちち" as the Cross Guild flag unfurls. In close-ups, a fan cries "MIHAWK-SAMA!!" while another sobs "WE'RE MOVED TO TEARS TOO, CAPTAIN!!" Buggy wails "WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TO MEI!" and a woman shrieks "KYAA! The line connects with "PERE RERE" and a voice declares "I AM YOURS TO COMMAND, MASTER..." The transmission reveals "SABO...!!" followed by "...IT'S ME..."
