Trafalgar Law stares ahead with a serious expression, declaring, "WE'RE AFTER THE SAME THING, BUT I THINK YOU'RE UNDERESTIMATING THEM." and "YOU'LL TAKE DOWN ALL THE YONKOU!I" Luffy listens with wide eyes. A shocked close-up of a wild-haired man yells, "EH!I WHAT! HE'S NOT EVEN HUMAN!I" Law continues explaining, "IS SAID TO BE THE STRONGEST CREATURE IN THE WORLD AND THE ONE KNOWN AS KAIDOU OF THE HUNDRED BEASTS... THESE ARE THE EMPERORS WHO ONCE ENGAGED IN TERRITORY BATTLES WITH WHITEBEARD HIMSELF." Luffy reacts with alarm, shouting, "THAT'S WAY TOO LOW!! WHAT A TERRIBLE PROPOSITION!! COME ON, LUFFY!!" while Law estimates, "ABOUT 30%... THE CHANCE OF MY PLAN SUCCEEDING IS...WELL... OUR ALLIANCE WILL LAST UNTIL WE TAKE DOWN KAIDOU."

Luffy grins widely and declares, "LET'S DO IT." Law reacts with shock, "LUFFY!!!" and "IS THAT SO... ALRIGHTY." A panel shows Law seated with his sword, saying, "...WHITE HUNTER." and "FOR LETTING YOU LIVE..." Luffy continues, "IT'S NOT AS IF I HAVE A PARTICULAR REASON." In a lower scene, Law stands with his back turned as a curly-haired figure and small children react amid smoke and debris. Speech reads, "I WONDER IF I'LL REALLY BE ABLE TO MANAGE" and "STRAWHAT-YA'S CREW...!!" while Law states, "ANYWAY, I'M PLANNING ON HEADING TO GREEN BIT NOW, BUT..." Sound effects like ドン and ビビビ punctuate the tension.

A chaotic splash panel shows a curly-haired girl laughing wildly amid flying barrels, skulls, and debris as Luffy and others react in surprise. Sound effects ドンチャン ring out. Law appears with a stern look, surrounded by the same musical notes. A masked figure with a long mustache laughs, "NEE... NEEN..." while another panel shows a round figure reacting. In the bottom section, Law speaks with his back to the viewer, "AND THERE COULD BE TROUBLE IF ANY MARINES BESIDES YOU GUYS TAKE THEM, SO WE NEED YOU TO GO AHEAD USE THE TANKER FOR THAT. UNTIL WE KNOW THE KIDS HAVE SET OFF SAFELY. NAH, NAMI AND CHOPPER SAID THAT THERE'S NO WAY WE'RE LEAVING SO AM I TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU'LL BE USING THE TANKER...I" Luffy stands nearby wearing a straw hat.

A massive Marine tanker looms near the rocky coast as the Straw Hats face off against G-5 forces. Voices shout from the ship: "WAHH!!", "WE'RE TAKING YOU HOME!", and "GET ON THE BOAT, BRATS!!" The Marines block the path, declaring, "YOU CAN'T COME OVER HERE!! THIS IS THE BORDER THAT SEPARATES JUSTICE FROM EVIL!!" and "THAT'S RIGHT!!" One Marine growls, "IF THE TANKER IS OURS..." while another yells, "HEY, HEY, STRAWHAT CREW...!!" In the lower panels the G-5 soldiers confront Luffy's group directly. "BUT YOU'RE PIRATES!! THE SHAME OF ALL HUMANITY!!" one roars. Luffy snaps back, "YEAH, ABOUT THAT, THANKS A LOT FOR THE HOSPITALITY!! YOU DUMB BASTARD!!" Nami stands beside him while Usopp sweats nervously. Another Marine retorts, "THAT AGAINI WEREN'T WE JUST HAVING A PARTY TOGETHER!I"

On the deck of the Thousand Sunny, Nami looks out and asks, "HUH AND WHERE ARE THE OTHER PIRATE GUYS!I" while voices call, "WHERE'S THE ROBOT!I", "CHOPPER-CHAN!!", and "BIG SIS NAMI-CHAN!!" The ship BF-37 floats nearby. Nami notes, "BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE SAFELY ABOARD." The G-5 Marines erupt in fury: "YOU GUYS DON'T LOOK SO DIFFERENT THAN US, G-5," "MAKE A BARRIER!! YOU SHOULDN'T LAY EYES ON SUCH PIRATES!!", "WHAT'S THE POINT OF THIS...", and "YOU GUYS... WHAT A PAIN." One Marine bellows, "PIRATES ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH!!!" Another screams "GYAA AAAAA AHHH" as the soldiers charge forward, shouting, "WE'LL MOP UP ANY PIRATES WHO WOULD DARE TO MAKE GOOD PEOPLE CRY!! WITH OUR JUSTICE..."

Luffy's crew discusses the situation aboard the Sunny. Someone says, "AH, RIGHT... YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE ALLIANCE YET." Others ask, "HEY, IS HE COMING WITH USI", "OK, WE SHOULD SET SAIL TOO", "REALLYI THAT'S GREAT!", and "THEY SAID THEY'LL CONSULT WITH VEGAPUNK ABOUT THE CANDY AND THE HEALING PROCESS." The Marines block the path, yelling, "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!! THE MARINES ARE BLOCKING THEM!!", "BIG BRO SWIRLY!!", "RUN YOU GUYS!!!", "RUN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE!!", "WE WON'T LET THE BRATS SEE THESE PIRATES!!", and "WE ARE JUSTICE!!" A Marine threatens the children, "WE'LL LEAVE YOU ON THIS ISLAND IF YOU TRY TO THANK THEM OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!! ANYONE WHO WOULD SAY GOODBYE TO PIRATES IS A BAD KID" as the kids cry out in fear.

The children weep on the railing. One sobs, "BUT... WHEN WE ASKED THEM TO SAVE US..." while others cover their mouths in terror. The Marines shout, "IT'S THE MARINES THAT REPRESENT JUSTICE!!", "GOT ITI PIRATES ARE EVIL!!!" The kids recall, "AND THEY WENT AND GOT US OUT OF THERE.", "THEY DIDN'T CARE THAT WE WERE GIANTS,", "...THEY DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT US...", and "THEY DID... EVEN THOUGH..." Nami, Luffy, and Robin stand with them. A child cries, "I'M SO SORRY!! IF ONLY I'D FOUND YOU SOONER...!!" Luffy shouts, "THEY CAME!!" as the children wail, "ON AN ISLAND WITH NOTHING, WHERE NO ONE WOULD EVER COME FOR US..." and "I WANNA GO HOME...!!" The final panel shows the kids sobbing, "WE'LL GO HOME SOON... JUST HANG IN THERE!!"

The children and G-5 marines continue their heated exchange. A marine shouts, "SORRY ABOUT THIS!!" Another insists, "THEN THE MARINES ARE JUST A BUNCH OF—" while a child retorts, "IF YOU DON'T LET US SAY GOODBYE TO THEM" and another adds, "BUT THE MARINES ARE—" and "PIRATES ARE DIRTY AND SMELLY." A narration box states, "THE MARINES ARE BRAVE AND ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT..." Tashigi bursts into tears, yelling, "THIS IS DISGRACEFUL!!" and "PLEASE STOP, YOU GUYS!!" A marine protests, "IF WE DON'T KEEP INSULTING THEM...!!" while another cries, "BUT TASHIGI-CHAN!!" A furious marine bellows, "THESE NO-GOOD OUTLAWS....!!" as the group reacts with shock.

The scene erupts in chaos as a massive impact hits. A voice declares, "WE'RE GONNA END UP LIKING THEM!!" followed by, "... EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE PIRATES!!" Marines and children alike burst into laughter with "うおおおおおお" and "うおおお" sound effects. Tashigi covers her mouth in surprise. Luffy grins widely and says, "WHAT WEIRD MARINES." He laughs heartily, "HAHAHA HAHAHA," as the marines continue roaring with laughter around him.

The children cheer and cry, "THANK YOU FOR SAVING US!! WHEN WE GROW UP, WE'LL DEFINITELY..." and shout, "PIRATE BIG BROS!! BIG SISTERS!!" One child yells, "BECOME PIRATES!!" while another warns, "DON'T DO THAT!!" Smoker and Tashigi stand among the group. Luffy waves goodbye, shouting, "SEE YA!!" and "BE READY FOR THE NEXT TIME WE MEET!!" The marines respond, "WE'RE GONNA CATCH YA!!" "WE'LL BE ENEMIES AGAIN!!" and "WE'LL CATCH YA!!" as the ship pulls away.

A close-up reveals intense eyes glaring forward. In the next moment a powerful figure launches into the sky with massive "ドドドド!!" impact effects. The cloaked individual rockets away at high speed, trailing "WHOOSH" and "WHOOSH" sound effects amid clouds and debris as the landscape blurs beneath them.

A masked man with wild hair and a feathered coat looms over the deck, laughing harshly as he clutches his side. "YOU BRATS...!!! HAA HAA" he growls while impact lines and "バシャ" sound effects explode around him. "LOOKS LIKE I'VE RUN INTO A SPOT OF BAD LUCK..." he continues. In a close-up, his masked face twists with fury. "HOW CAN IT BE THAT THE 'SKY ROAD' HAS BEEN INTERRUPTED...!!!! FUFFUFFU!!" he shouts. Below, a ship's wheel spins wildly as debris flies and the masked figure's silhouette towers against the sky.

A dark-haired woman hangs chained to a massive spiked wheel, eyes wide in shock. Below her, Vergo stands with arms crossed. She cries out, "SHIT!! WE WERE REALLY BETRAYED BY LAW!!" Vergo's masked face fills the panel as he declares, "YOUNG MASTER!!!" In a tight close-up of his eyes, he continues, "EVEN THOUGH I WAS NEEDED...I COULDN'T ANSWER THE CALL!! THERE'S NO EXCUSE!! WE'LL ACCEPT DEATH AS PENANCE...!!"

A life raft with a grinning skull sail drifts on rough seas. Scattered figures on board lament, "WE'VE ALL LOST OUR HONOR...!!" "IN THE END, WE..." "IT'S FINE. SAY NO MORE..." One voice notes, "THIS IS THE LIFE RAFT FROM MY TANKER, ISN'T IT..." Vergo's masked face appears beside a spotted hat figure holding a Den Den Mushi. "WE WERE JUST FOLLOWING MY ORDERS," the masked man says. A feathered blond man stands up, remarking, "WELL THIS IS SURPRISING..." as the spotted-hat figure states, "THE BOSS HIMSELF MAKES AN APPEARANCE..."

Vergo's masked face fills the frame as he speaks into a Den Den Mushi, "...JO... JOKER, HELP ME!!!" and "IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR CAESAR, HE'S WITH ME." Law's close-up replies, "LAW... IT'S BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME... YET WE STILL CAN'T MANAGE TO MEET PROPERLY..." Vergo retorts from the wheel, "COME NOW... DON'T ASK SUCH SUPERFLUOUS QUESTIONS. WHERE ARE BABY-5 AND BUFFALO'S BODIESI" Law answers, "HEY LAW, HOLD YOUR HORSES. CHILDREN SHOULDN'T GO AROUND ACTING LIKE GROWN-UPS!! FU... FUFFU FFFUFFU FFU!! LET'S MAKE A DEAL..." Vergo snaps, "WHERE ARE YOU NOWI!I... DON'T MAKE ME ANGRY...!!"

On the open sea a small sailboat rocks amid the waves. Three speech bubbles hover above the water: "I'D IMAGINE THAT, RATHER, IT'S YOU WHO SHOULDN'T GO AND MAKE HIM ANGRY...!!", "IS ONE OF THE YONKOU... THE GREAT PIRATE 'KAIDOU OF THE HUNDRED BEASTS'", and "MAKE YOU ANGRYI RIGHT NOW, YOUR MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS PARTNER". Below, a cloaked figure with a spotted hat stands before a towering, furious man with wild hair and a feathered coat. The man growls, "HE'S NOT A VERY UNDERSTANDING MAN...!! IT WOULD RESULT IN A TERRIBLE CONFLICT, NOI" A close-up shows the cloaked man's masked face as another voice warns, "YOUNG MASTER... YOUR FACE... WHAT'LL HAPPEN IF HE'S INFORMED THAT YOU CAN NO LONGER PRODUCE SMILESI" The enraged man snaps, "ENOUGH WITH THE JOKES, LAW...!! WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET CAESAR BACK...!I HURRY UP AND TELL ME YOUR DEMANDS!!" A final bubble declares, "YOU'D BE KILLED."

A close-up reveals Donquixote Doflamingo's furious face, eyes wide, shouting "RESIGN FROM THE SHICHIBUKAI!!!" with a sharp "!!I" reaction. In the next panels Law, still masked, calmly replies, "JUST THROW AWAY EVERYTHING YOU'VE BUILT OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS... AND BECOME A SIMPLE PIRATE AGAIN." Doflamingo roars back, "WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO STAY AT DRESSROSA ANYMORE" and "WHAT AN IMPUDENT BRAT!!" The scene shifts to open sea once more. Law states, "YOU HAVE UNTIL TOMORROW'S MORNING EDITION" while a distant voice adds, "BUT OF COURSE, IF YOU DO THAT, MARINE HQ'S ADMIRALS WILL HUNT YOU DOWN...!!" The page ends with the One Piece logo and "CH.697 /END".

Law continues, "IF THERE'S NO SUCH REPORT... THEN THAT'S THE END OF OUR NEGOTIATIONS... LATER." He adds, "IF THE NEWSPAPER REPORTS THAT YOU'VE SHED YOUR SHICHIBUKAI TITLE... I'LL BE CONTACTING YOU AGAIN." A young woman with braided hair appears, calling out "YOUNG MASTER..." The sea panels show heavy breathing "HAA HAA" and a snake-like "SSS SSS" sound. Law's hand clicks a device as Doflamingo lunges forward yelling "WAIT A MINUTE, LAW!!!" The final panel is an extreme close-up of Law's glowing eyes with the huge sound effect "SNAP!!!"
