HIGH LEVEL, LOW LEVEL

In a ruined street, Roronoa Zoro stands with swords drawn, water dripping from his blades as large onomatopoeia "DA BOOM" and "PLIP" fill the air. Nami and Luffy watch from the side. Close-ups show Zoro's intense face as he declares, "TO ANYONE WHO CALLS HIMSELF A SWORDSMAN!! I CAN'T LOSE, NOT EVEN ONCE..." Luffy cheers, "GET 'IM, ZOLO!!" while Nami watches nervously, saying "I'M FEELING FAINT JUST WATCHING THIS!" and "YEAH!"

Cabaji, the scarf-wearing swordsman, taunts Zoro: "YOUR WOUNDS ARE SEVERE. THEY'LL MAKE AN EXCELLENT EXCUSE WHEN YOU LOSE. SO YOU INJURED YOURSELF AS INSURANCE FOR YOUR REPUTATION... WELL, DON'T WORRY..." Zoro replies, "THEN I MAY AS WELL GIVE UP MY DREAM RIGHT NOW." He crosses his swords in a powerful stance as "GA-SWEEN!!!" and "SNICK" ring out. Cabaji yells, "IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND!! IF I LOSE TO THE LIKES OF YOU WHEN MY WOUNDS ARE ONLY THIS LIGHT..." A small panel shows a wide-eyed creature reacting with "..." and Cabaji snarling, "YOU SCURVY DOG!!"

Luffy and Nami stand amid the ruined streets of Orange Town. Pointing toward the rubble, Nami explains, "That's where they keep their treasure. That shack behind the ruins of the tavern..." Luffy looks surprised as someone shouts "HUHI" and "HEY!" Nami continues, "I've got to do it now, while they're all knocked out... I'll get their treasure and make my escape. And Buggy's probably got the map of the Grand Line." In the next panel Buggy stands with arms crossed, declaring his intent. Luffy waves dismissively and says, "I don't really care!" Nami smiles and replies, "Whether you guys win or lose this battle..."

Nami points directly at Luffy and states, "Then—and only then—will I consider teaming up with you again... But if you do get that map from Buggy..." Luffy grins and answers, "WOW! THANKS!" Nami runs off waving, calling back, "Good luck, boys! See ya!" The scene shifts to Cabaji facing Roronoa Zoro. Cabaji announces, "Roronoa Zoro!! Have a taste of the greatest of all my circus tricks!!" while spinning plates and tops. Zoro stands ready with swords as the attack begins with "WHHRR" and "..." effects.

Cabaji launches his spinning tops in a dramatic assault labeled "SWIRL" and shouts, "And now 'the dance of a hundred kamikaze tops'!!!" The tops fly toward Zoro with intense motion lines. In the streets below, more tops crash with repeated "RERK RERK RERK" sounds and "ZOOM!" Zoro is shown dodging and striking amid the barrage. Cabaji's intense glare fills a close-up panel as he declares the next circus trick: "A hike in the mountains." Debris and impacts scatter everywhere.

Zoro slashes furiously through the aerial assault, blades flashing with massive "WAK WAK WAK" impact effects. Cabaji recoils in shock. Zoro then leaps high above the town rooftops, sword extended, as Cabaji calls out another trick: "Circus trick: 'Fireworks in the cool summer breeze.'" A chain of linked tops trails behind Zoro with a dramatic "FWOOOSH" and "BOUND!" sound. Zoro cuts through the final formation in mid-air.

Cabaji races forward on his unicycle in a dramatic stunt, shouting "STING OF THE UNICYCLE!!" as he balances high above the street. Luffy stares upward in shock, yelling "WOW! HE'S WAY UP THERE!" while shielding his eyes. Cabaji glares down with intense focus, sweat flying. Below, a large hand marked with a skull-and-crossbones flag performs a "SWAP" gesture, causing Cabaji to lose balance mid-air. The unicycle spins wildly as Cabaji tumbles downward amid motion lines and debris.

Cabaji is launched skyward after the swap, the unicycle flying free. A massive explosion erupts as Buggy's hand unleashes the "LOW-FLYING CHOP-CHOP CANNON!!" with a thunderous "KA-BOOM!!" and "WWOOSH". Cabaji lands and immediately calls out "I'LL HOLD ZORO DOWN!! YOU FINISH HIM OFF!!" A voice answers "WITH PLEASURE!" as Mohji's lion Richie lunges forward with a fierce "DOOSH!" and "DANG....!!" Cabaji's silhouette appears ready to strike.

Luffy is violently stomped into the ground with a massive "STOMP" and "!!!", his body flattened as sweat and impact lines explode outward. In the street below, a crewman shouts "LUFFY!" while reaching toward him. Buggy's face twists in rage as he roars "ARRGH!" with veins bulging. Luffy lies dazed on the pavement, hat askew, as the crewman stares in horror at the sudden attack.

Luffy grins widely despite the beating, declaring "KEEP YOUR MITTS OUT OF ZORO'S DUEL!" In the next panels Cabaji speeds in on the unicycle, shouting "I DON'T NEED THE CAPTAIN TO LEND ME A HAND TO KILL YOU!!" Zoro smirks with a "GRIN" and a quiet "HEH..." while Cabaji snarls "YOU LITTLE..." as he closes in for the attack, blades flashing.

A massive sword slash erupts across the top of the page as Cabaji swings his blade from atop a unicycle, sending the rider tumbling violently to the ground amid impact lines and debris. Below, the exhausted swordsman Roronoa Zoro kneels on one knee, breathing heavily with sweat dripping down his face. Cabaji stands nearby with a smug expression, gripping his sword and declaring "HMPH!" Zoro mutters "I'VE HAD ENOUGH..." while a background figure on the unicycle groans "I'M TIRED..." and "HUF HUF". The checkered-bandana pirate watches with narrowed eyes as Zoro struggles to rise, the fight clearly taking its toll.

Cabaji leans in mockingly, hand on his forehead, taunting the kneeling Zoro: "SO YOU'VE FINALLY GIVEN UP! WELL, I'M NOT SURPRISED..." and "YOU'RE TIREDI HEH HEH HEH... WHAT'S WRONGI ANEMICI" while noting "IT'S AMAZING YOU CAN STILL STAND IN YOUR CONDITION." Zoro suddenly surges forward with a powerful strike, the blade connecting in a massive "KA-THWACK!" that sends Cabaji flying backward with a pained "UNGH...!!!" and a shocked "I!!!" expression. The acrobat crashes into the ground as the impact reverberates.

Cabaji's face fills the panel in fury, shouting "ARE YOUR STUPID CIRCUS TRICKS!!! YOU'VE GOT IT WRONG. WHAT I'M TIRED OF..." as he prepares his next move. In the lower sequence, Zoro draws his swords with a focused "ONI..." and "SWURP", declaring "VERY WELL! NO MORE TRICKS! I'LL FINISH YOU NOW..." and "WITH MY REAL SWORDSMANSHIP!!!" while Luffy watches intently from a small panel with a serious expression. Cabaji lunges forward with a fierce "WSH!!" as the blades clash.

Zoro unleashes his ultimate technique in a dramatic full-page spread. With three swords drawn, he spins into a devastating cross-shaped slash labeled "ONIGIRI = 'DEMON SLASH'". The attack lands with explosive force marked "GIRI!!!" and "!!!", sending Cabaji hurtling backward through the air amid massive impact lines and debris. The acrobat's body twists from the sheer power of the strike as Zoro completes the move in a low stance.

Luffy grins widely in close-up. Cabaji is struck hard as someone yells "CABAJI!!!". A defeated Buggy pirate lies sprawled, thinking "GGH...! HOW COULD THESE COMMON THIEVES HAVE BEATEN USI WE'RE THE BUGGY PIRATE GANG—THE SCOURGE OF THE SEAS!!" and "HOW COULD THINGS HAVE GONE THIS FAR...I". Zoro wipes his brow with a confident smirk, declaring "WE'RE NOT COMMON THIEVES...". A loud "FWUMP!!" erupts as a figure is slammed into the ground amid dust clouds.

A massive "FWUMP" impact shakes the street as a voice booms "WE'RE PIRATES!". Luffy stands tall in the ruined town square while defeated Buggy pirates lie unconscious around him. Zoro is down on the ground. Luffy flexes and declares "I'LL TAKE IT FROM HERE!" and "GO AHEAD AND SLEEP!". Zoro, exhausted and sweating, replies "I'M GOING TO SLEEP NOW." and murmurs "LUFFY..." as he collapses.

Buggy looms in fury, shouting "...CALL YOURSELVES PIRATES!I" and "YOU GUYS...". Luffy stands opposite him and demands "NOW HAND OVER THE MAP OF THE GRAND LINE!!". Buggy retorts "THAT'S RIGHT!" then roars "WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO THERE!I GO SIGHT-SEEING!I" and sneers "SO THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE AFTER. WELL, A COUPLE OF LILY-LIVERED, NO-NAME PIRATES LIKE YOU WON'T LAST A DAY ON THE GRAND LINE!!".

Luffy stands resolute and announces "I'M GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES.". Buggy explodes in rage, yelling "IF YOU'RE KING OF PIRATES, THEN WHAT AM I!I GOD OF THE PIRATES!I THE WORLD'S TREASURE WILL BE MINE! SO FORGET IT!" and "DON'T BE A FOOL!". Buggy's face twists in shock as he chokes out ".....!!!! HURF ACK HAR" with a loud "Boom" sound effect.

Buggy looms forward with crossed blades, eyes blazing as he roars, "YOU'LL SOON REGRET YOUR WORDS, RUBBER BOY!" while Luffy stands ready in the rain, fists clenched. Luffy yawns and stretches, declaring, "I'M GETTING BORED." and "OKAY, HURRY UP AND ATTACK ME." Buggy's expression shifts as he stares at Luffy's straw hat. Luffy's eyes widen in shock, muttering "...RED HAIR!I" Buggy's face twists in fury, shouting, "THAT INSOLENT DOG WITH THE RED HAIR!!!" and "YOU AND YOUR STRAW HAT REMIND ME OF HIM WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER..." The page ends with the note "TO BE CONTINUED IN ONE PIECE, VOL. 3!"
