ANGEL BEACH

The ship sails rapidly through dense clouds shaped like a flowing river or belt. A voice exclaims, "THE CLOUD IS IN THE SHAPE OF A BELT, JUST LIKE A RIVER...!!!" Another shouts, "WHAT'S GOING ON...!!!I" The vessel plunges into a massive swirling cloud formation. Speech bubbles read: "I DOUBT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NATURALLY FORMED!" "THERE'S NO WAY IT'S NATURAL!!" "THERE'S SOMETHING WRITTEN ON TOP!!" "IT'S THE EXIT!!" Large sound effects and motion lines emphasize the turbulent descent.

The crew realizes the truth as they burst through the clouds. A sign reading "GOD LAND SKYPIEA" appears. Voices shout: "IT'S NOT AN EXIT!!" "IT'S AN ENTRANCE!!" "GOD LAND..." "SKYPIEA!!!I" Close-ups show shocked faces: a wide-eyed woman with sweat drops, Luffy with an open-mouthed expression of shock, Usopp with swirling eyes and gritted teeth, Nami looking back, and Zoro with a tense, serious glare. Large impact sound effects fill the panel as the realization hits.

The ship emerges above a vast sea of clouds, revealing a sprawling island city with grand buildings, waterfalls cascading from the clouds, and lush greenery. A narration box states: "-WHITE-WHITE SEA-GOD LAND 'SKYPIEA'". Speech bubbles declare: "IT'S SKY ISLAND~~~~~!!!!!" "THERE'S AN ISLAND...!!!" Enormous sound effects and motion lines convey the dramatic reveal as the vessel flies toward the floating land.

The Going Merry sails across a vast sea of white, fluffy clouds toward a distant island floating high in the sky, complete with buildings, staircases, and palm trees rising above the clouds. Small figures stand on the cloud surface near the shore. A massive bare foot descends and presses into the soft cloud layer. The impact sends ripples outward as the crew reacts in shock and excitement. Someone shouts, "UHOOOOO---!!! THE SURFACE OF THIS ISLAND IS THE FLUFFY CLOUD!!!" Another voice cries, "YAH~~~~!! SKY ISLAND~~~~~~~!!!" Large sound effects read フワフワババババ！ as the foot sinks into the cloud.

From the ship’s deck, Sanji calls out, "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!! HURRY! LOOK, THIS BEACH IS SO FLUFFY!!!" while a small voice replies, "DON'T WORRY... YOU..." Someone else asks, "HEY, WHAT ABOUT THE ANCHOR!I THERE'S PROBABLY NO BOTTOM HERE, RIGHT!I" Inside the ship, Chopper folds his arms and says, "YUP... ALSO, SEEING THEIR HAPPY FACES... HAHAH, YOU JUST CAN'T HELP IT." Sanji adds, "IT'S LIKE IN A DREAM......ANYWAY, THIS SCENERY IS REALLY AMAZING..." On deck, Usopp reacts with surprise as Chopper bounces around, yelling "OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! SORRY, SORRY!!!" and "JO~~~~ JO JO JO~~~~" while Luffy swings wildly, shouting "YOU'RE THE SAME AS THEM! YAHOO~~~~!!!!" Sound effects include ドバババ and impact lines.

Sanji states, "I PUT IT DOWN... THAT...FLUFFY CLOUD SEEMS TO BE THE FOUNDATION OF THE ISLAND. AND THE ANCHORI" Nami looks concerned while Usopp sweats and says, "THERE SEEMS TO BE PEOPLE LIVING HERE; IT CAN PROBABLY SURVIVE....JEEZ. FORGOT TO LET HIM GO EARLIER..." Robin stands nearby. In the next scene Robin recalls, "THAT 200 YEAR-OLD GALLEON THAT FELL ON US REALLY DID COME HERE." Sanji confirms, "YUP...IT'S THE SAME AS THE NAME ON THE MAP THAT LUFFY FOUND!" Nami adds, "ISN'T 'SKYPIEA'..." while noting, "AT THAT TIME, I DIDN'T REALLY THINK A WORLD IN THE SKY REALLY EXISTED, BUT..." She smiles brightly and declares, "AFTER EXPERIENCING IT FIRST HAND, THERE'S NO MORE DOUBT ABOUT ITS EXISTENCE!!" In the background, a small figure waves from the railing. On the cloud surface below, a woman in a revealing outfit stands with motion lines around her.

Sanji stands on deck holding a bag and says, "AH, I'LL GO TOO." Nami, facing the island with her back to the viewer, asks, "...WHAT ABOUT YOUI" Sanji sweats with a conflicted expression, thinking "...I" while replying, "COULD BE ADVENTUROUS, TOO." Nami smiles and says, "THAT NAVIGATING AND LANDING... I NEVER THOUGHT..." A large panel shows Luffy in the foreground, eyes wide and mouth open in a massive roar, arms raised with clenched fists as he yells, "IT REEKS WITH THE SCENT OF ADVENTURE!!!" and "HAAAAA~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~!! WHAT IS THIS PLACEI!!" Large sound effects ヒャー and impact lines surround him. The distant island and cloud sea stretch behind the crew.

Luffy stares at a strange round fruit and bites into it with a loud *BITE*!!, yelling "WHAT'S THIS...I" as stars spin around his head. Nearby, Usopp swings wildly on a vine shouting "U~~~~~~N." Nami stands triumphantly on the beach in her bikini, arms raised, declaring "YEAH, SINCE WE'VE ONLY BEEN STOPPING AT PORTS. IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE WE WENT TO THE BEACH. THERE'S NO WAY THE MARINES CAN FOLLOW US HERE. WE CAN FINALLY RELAX!!" Sanji leaps through the surf offering Nami a flower, "NAMI-SAN, A FLOWER FOR YOU~~~~~♥" while Chopper reacts in surprise. Usopp calls out from the background, "THIS IS USOPP. HOW ABOUT IF WE TAKE A BREAK HERE!I" A voice rejects the idea: "TAKE A BREAK...NOT BAD!! REJECTED! REJECTED MEANS YOU DON'T AGREE!!!" Zoro tumbles in the surf with a "ごごごご" sound. On a cloud-made chair, Nami sits comfortably as Chopper exclaims, "WOW! THEY MUST HAVE CRAFTING TECHNIQUES TO MAKE THINGS OUT OF CLOUDS. WOW...! THIS CHAIR IS MADE OF CLOUD!!" Luffy examines a mysterious fruit while Nami notes the strange blooming flowers that look like balloons.

A mysterious whistling sound "ホロロロロロン" echoes as a small fox-like creature appears. Luffy, still holding the fruit, reacts with shock: "WHAT'S THAT SOUNDI" Usopp shouts "OH!! WHAT'S THISI A FOXI" and "WHAT'S THAT!!!I" From the beach, Sanji points and yells "HEY, THERE'S SOMEONE OVER THERE!!" while others scan the treeline asking "IS IT...ANOTHER GUERILLA!I" The whistling continues. Suddenly an angelic figure with wings lands on a hilltop. Usopp cries out "ANGEL!I" as Sanji stares in wide-eyed disbelief, exclaiming "WAIT, THAT'S NOT IT!!!...IT'S AN ANGEL!!"

The winged girl smiles gently as Luffy gapes in shock "AH!!I" and Sanji swoons "HESO!!" She introduces the setting: "WE FLEW UP HERE FROM THE BOTTOM." Luffy asks "DO YOU LIVE HEREI" and she replies "YES, I LIVE HERE." She continues, "SUU, COME HERE! ARE YOU GUYS FROM THE BLUE SEAI" while Suu the cloud fox flies nearby. The girl holds up a strange round fruit and explains, "THIS IS SKYPIEA'S ANGEL BEACH. THE TOP IS LIKE STEEL, SO BITING WON'T DO ANYTHING. YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE BOTTOM... HEHE, THAT'S KONASSHU. DO YOU WANT TO DRINK ITI" Luffy stares in confusion as she prepares to open it with a knife, saying "ALRIGHT, ENJOY!"

Conis smiles and offers, "IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, PLEASE LET ME HELP YOU. THEN... PLEASE OPEN THIS ONE, TOO!" Luffy and Usopp react wildly to the taste of the fruit, shouting "WHAT!I IT'S THAT GOOD!!I" "IT TASTES SO GOOD!!" and "YUUUUUUUUU UMM--!!!!!!" She introduces herself: "I'M CONIS." Sanji stares intensely at her, prompting Conis to say nervously "YES, I HAVE A PROBLEM. YOUR GAZE BURNS A HOLE IN MY HEART... GO AWAY." while Suu floats nearby. Nami, now in her bikini again, gestures and says "TO START WITH, EVERYTHING HERE IS SO STRANGE WE WANT TO KNOW... YES, PLEASE ASK ME ANYTHING!" A sign beside Conis reads "SKYPIEA ANGEL BEACH RESIDENT CONIS & CLOUD FOX, SUU."

Luffy stares in shock at the sea, sweat drop forming as he blurts, "ER, WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!I" Nearby voices cheer, "YES! HESO, HESO, FATHER!!!" and "CONIS-SAN, HESO!!" A girl with a striped shell on her back smiles, "AH, IT'S MY DAD." In the next panel someone yells, "HEY, SOMETHING'S COMING FROM THE SEA!!" and "IT'S A SLUG!!" as a strange creature approaches. Below, Luffy gapes at a bizarre vehicle skimming the waves and asks, "AH...YOU MEAN THE 'WAVER'I" while another voice wonders, "WHAT IS HE RIDING ONI" The rider, a mustached man with goggles and a large basket, declares, "I AM GOING TO STOP NOW." He apologizes, "I'M SORRY," as the waver crashes into the shallows with a loud "PASUN..." impact, sending up clouds of spray.

A fierce-looking fishman-like creature growls, "ASK YOURSELF THAT FIRST!!!" while a boy asks, "IS ANYBODY HURTI" In the background the waver crashes with "AH--" and "AH!" sounds and impact effects. Luffy, holding a round object, exclaims, "SO THAT'S A 'WAVER'...!! IN NORLAND'S DIARY, A SHIP THAT WILL SAIL WITHOUT SAIL WITHOUT WIND...!!!!" Nami, surprised, shouts, "LUFFY, DIDN'T YOU RECOVER THAT THING FROM UNDER THE SEA!I" Luffy answers, "YAH, I DID." Pagaya, carrying his basket, bows and says, "THIS IS THE WHITE-WHITE SEA. I'M SORRY. REALLYI THEY MUST BE CONFUSED ABOUT THINGS HERE THEN. THEY'RE FROM THE BLUE SEA. YES, I JUST MET THEM, FATHER. ARE THEY YOUR FRIENDS, CONIS-SANI" He adds, "EH!I NO, IT'S NOT LIKE THAT... NO, NO, IT'S ALRIGHT. I FORGOT TO INTRODUCE MYSELF. MY NAME IS PAGAYA. I'M SORRY."

Pagaya holds up two large sky lobsters and smiles, "THESE ARE CALLED 'SKY LOBSTERS.' GOOD TIMING, I JUST FINISHED FISHING. PLEASE COME TO MY HOME. I'LL TREAT YOU TO SOME OF THE SKY'S 'HAPPINESS.' I CAUGHT THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD IN THE WHITE-WHITE SEA." Luffy and Nami react with excitement. Nami kneels by the waver and asks, "HOW COME IT CAN SAIL ON THE SEA!I BEFORE WE GO, MAY I ASK A QUESTION FIRSTI HOW DOES THIS WORKI THERE'S NO SAIL...OR PADDLES." Luffy pumps his fist, "YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE SKY ISLAND CUISINE!I PLEASE LET ME HELP! REALLY!I LET'S GO! LET'S GO!" In close-up Nami's eyes widen as she repeats, "'DIAL'!I...AH, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A 'DIAL' IS."
