A subordinate snaps back, "WHY WOULD YOU GO AND TALK ABOUT THAT NOW OF ALL TIMES...!I" and "YOU IDIOT..." The ship suddenly lurches violently from a massive impact, sending crew flying as debris scatters. Below, a long-haired figure lies sprawled on the tilting deck, yelling in terror, "THAT I'M GONNA BE KILLED BY STUPID PIRATES LIKE YOU IN A PLACE LIKE THIS!" Another voice cries, "THERE'S NO WAY," as the vessel groans under the storm's force and the crew panics.

The storm rages harder. A crewman shouts, "LOAD UP ALL OF THE LOOT BACK TO OUR BOAT!" Another replies, "ALRIGHT." On the tilting deck a panicked pirate yells, "CAPTAIN, WE HAVE TO PULL BACK RIGHT AWAY! THE COMING STORM'S MUCH BIGGER THAN WE THOUGHT!" The ship is slammed sideways by enormous waves; crates, barrels, and men tumble across the listing deck amid huge impact SFX. From the lower deck Luffy appears, eyes wide, shouting "SANJI!" as the vessel heaves violently and crew members are hurled overboard with cries of "AGHHH!"

The ship is torn apart by the storm. A crewman screams "CAPTAIN!I" while another shouts "WHA!I" A massive wave smashes the vessel, flinging men into the air with a loud "AHHHHHHH!" and impact SFX. The mast and rigging collapse; a long-haired figure clings desperately to the broken deck as the hull cracks and water surges everywhere. The entire ship lists sharply, ropes and debris flying in the chaos.

Don Krieg glares furiously through the downpour, muttering "THAT STUPID BRAT..." The ship is wrenched upward by a colossal whirlpool-like wave; crew members cling to the tilting structure, shouting "CAPTAIN!" and "W-WHAT'RE YOU DOING!I IT'S JUST A STUPID LITTLE KID!" Another yells "CAPTAIN!" as the vessel is dragged into the massive vortex. The entire ship spins violently in the roaring sea while the crew stares in horror at the overwhelming force of the storm.

A massive pirate ship is violently smashed apart by a raging storm. Huge waves crash over the deck as the vessel breaks, with loud SFX reading CRACK... CRACK and CRASH. The ship tilts and sinks beneath the churning sea. The storm subsides, leaving only swirling whirlpools and debris. Far in the distance, a lone barren rock juts from the calm ocean under a clear sky with a few birds flying overhead. The rock stands isolated with no visible vegetation or life.

On the barren rock, a blond young man in a suit sits up and speaks to the cloaked bearded man beside him. "YOU'RE A PRETTY LUCKY ONE, ALRIGHT. SO YOU WOKE UP, DID YOU, YOU LITTLE EGGPLANT..." The cloaked man replies gruffly. They discuss the shipwreck: "WOULDN'T BE SURPRISING IF YOUR SHIP SANK DURING THAT ROUGH STORM." "WHO KNOWS. WHERE'S THE SHIPI" "OF COURSE YOU CAN'T MOVE EASILY. JUST WHOSE KICK DID YOU THINK YOU RECEIVEDI OW OW AWWW! P-PIRA..." The cloaked man notes the wreckage around them. The blond man says, "I CAN TELL BY THE WRECKAGE. I CAN ONLY BE GRATEFUL THAT I DIDN'T SEE ANY OF MY CREWMATES' DEAD BODIES. BUT... I KNOW MY SHIP HAS SUNK FOR SURE AT LEAST."

The cloaked man sits on the rock and declares, "ARE YOU STUCK ON THIS GOD-FORSAKEN ROCK, WITHOUT A SINGLE PLANT, FRUIT, OR ANIMAL TO EAT. MEANING THAT YOU AND I, IN ANY CASE, THE STORM WAS 2 DAYS AGO." He warns that jumping into the sea is impossible due to the waves carving the rock. The blond man protests, "IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP, I'LL JUST EAT YOU INSTEAD." The cloaked man snaps back, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! I'LL KILL YOU FOR THIS!" The blond man firmly answers, "NO. IN OTHER WORDS, WE DON'T HAVE ANY WAY TO GET FOOD. FEEL FREE TO CRY FOR YOU WANT."

The cloaked man and the blond man continue talking on the rock. "IF WE'RE LUCKY, WE MIGHT BE SAVED TOMORROW. AND IF WE'RE NOT, WE'LL BE WAITING UNTIL WE'RE NOTHING BUT A DRIED UP PILE OF BONES. WAITING FOR HELP IS THE ONLY OPTION WE HAVE." The cloaked man offers a share of food from large sacks, saying "THIS IS YOUR SHARE." The blond man reacts with shock, "ME...I PILE OF BONESI" They argue over portions: "OF COURSE! I'M AN ADULT, SO IT'S ONLY NATURAL THAT I EAT MORE." "WAIT A MINUTE! YOUR SHARE IS WAY BIGGER THAN MINE! IT'S ALMOST 3 TIMES WHAT I'VE GOT!" "BUT USE YOUR HEAD AND SAVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. EATING NORMALLY, IT SHOULD LAST YOU 5 DAYS. THIS FOOD HERE GOT WASHED UP HERE JUST LIKE US. IT'S A GOOD THING THAT WE'RE BOTH COOKS."

Zeff stands on the rocky outcrop with a large sack over his shoulder, one leg raised after kicking. "SO LET'S JUST TRY TO GET ALONG UNTIL HELP COMES, ALRIGHTI" he says. A small "!!" reaction comes from below. "THAT'S THE SITUATION WE'RE STUCK IN," he continues. Young Sanji glares up furiously. "SO DON'T EXPECT ME TO BE ANY NICER THAN THAT," Sanji growls. Zeff retorts, "YOU SHOULD CONSIDER ME NICE FOR EVEN GIVING YOU FOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE." "YOU DAMN GEEZER..." Sanji mutters. Zeff points across the sea and instructs, "BEST NOT TO WASTE ANY ENERGY FOR UNNECESSARY THINGS. UNTIL THEN, DON'T BOTHER CONTACTING ME. IF YOU SEE A SHIP, CALL AND LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY. AND I'LL SIT ON THAT OTHER SIDE OF THE ROCK. THIS WAY, WE'LL BE ABLE TO KEEP WATCH ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SEA. YOU SIT ON THIS SIDE." Young Sanji sits hugging his knees. "PRAY FOR GOOD LUCK," Zeff says as he walks away.

Young Sanji sits alone on the barren rocks by the sea at sunset, a small bag beside him. Distant birds fly over the water. He hunches forward, stomach growling loudly with "ぐううう..." SFX. He clutches his belly in pain. A close-up shows his determined yet pained face. Narration notes that using his head to save as much food as possible should let the supplies last five days if eaten normally. Sanji stares out at the horizon with a serious expression, the sea stretching empty before him.
