Corazon raises his hand and says '"SILENT"...' while a woman in a coat approaches, saying 'HEY, HEY, NOW HOLD ON...' The cloaked figure retorts 'BUT...! THAT'S THE SAME AS YOU LYING TO HIM, ISN'T ITI!' Chapter title reads 'CHAPTER 764: "White Monster"'.

In a quiet city street, Law stares in shock as the sounds of the bustling town suddenly vanish. "EVERYONE'S DEFINITELY TALKING, BUT I DON'T HEAR ANYTHING!!" he exclaims. Corazon explains, "YOU WERE MAKING A SCENE, SO I PUT UP A WALL. THE SOUNDS OF THE CITY VANISHED!!" A large soundproof barrier now surrounds them. "AND THOSE ON THE OUTSIDE WON'T BE ABLE TO HEAR OUR VOICES IN HERE, EITHER," Corazon continues. He reveals his identity: "I AM A SILENT HUMAN FROM THE 'NAGI NAGI NO MI'." Law reacts with fury, "WHAT THE HELLI! YOU'VE BEEN TOTALLY FULL OF SHIT!! YOU'RE A DEVIL FRUIT USERI!" Corazon replies calmly, "YEAH... BUT OF COURSE..."

Law lunges forward, shouting "LIAR!! YOUR DAMN SHOULDER'S ON FIRE!!" as flames erupt on Corazon's shoulder. Corazon sits smoking, replying, "IT'S ALL BEEN AN ACT." Law demands, "WHY DID YOU HIDE THIS FROM ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS AND COMRADESI!" Corazon answers, "WELL... I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET OVER BEING CLUMSY SINCE FOREVER... I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A KLUTZ..." In a close-up, Corazon reflects on his past: "FROM SUCH A KIND-HEARTED MOTHER AND FATHER... HOW THEY COULD HAVE GIVEN BIRTH TO SUCH A MONSTER, I'LL NEVER KNOW. MY DUTY... AS HIS YOUNGER BROTHER... IS TO KEEP MY OLDER BROTHER DOFFY'S 'MADNESS' AT BAY."

In a violent flashback, a desperate man pleads, "AIM YOUR ARROWS AT ME!! THESE CHILDREN HAVE COMMITTED NO SINS!! PLEASE!! SPARE THE CHILDREN!!" while arrows rain down. A monstrous figure with a wide grin declares, "I WILL NOT DIE...!!!!" and "YOU'LL ALL PAY FOR THIS!!" The father cries, "THE PAIN... FATHER...!!! I JUST WANT TO DIE ALREADY!" A massive close-up shows the enraged face shouting, "UNTIL NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU IS LEFT ALIVE!!! AND I WILL KILL YOU ALL... ONE BY ONE..."

Corazon continues explaining to Law: "ARE WE FOUR OF HIS INNER CIRCLE... THE ONLY ONES THAT KNOW OF DOFFY'S TRUE NATURE... HIS MADNESS... AND THE FORMER [CORAZON], VERGO. THAT'S THE WAY HE WAS BORN... PURE EVIL... KNOWING FEAR OF NOTHING!!" Law asks, "VERGOI" Corazon adds, "EVEN THOSE CLOSE TO HIM IN THE MISSION ARE UNAWARE OF THE SPECIFIC DETAILS..." Law realizes, "THE SECRET NAME OF 'D'...!!! THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT IT... YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE FATED FAMILY OF D...!!!" Corazon warns, "THERE'S NO WAY I'M LEAVING!! I WANT TO BECOME LIKE HIM!!! DON'T BECOME A MONSTER LIKE MY BROTHER!! GET AWAY FROM HERE, LAW...!!!"

Young Trafalgar Law stares in shock as Corazon speaks. A narration box reads, "[THAT 'D' WILL SURELY BRING WITH THEM ANOTHER STORM...]". Corazon continues, "AND EVERY TIME SOMEONE WITH THE NAME OF 'D' BEGINS TO MAKE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES IN THE WORLD... ALL THE ELDERS ALL GROAN AND MUTTER... IN THE SOCIETY I COME FROM, THE CHILDREN ARE ALL TOLD... [BAD KIDS WILL GET EATEN BY 'D']". Law questions the story. Corazon explains, "THERE IS A LAND WHERE THEY REFER TO THE 'FAMILY OF D' AS THIS...!!! IT'S A NAME THAT PEOPLE HAVE SECRETLY BEEN INHERITING THROUGHOUT HISTORY ALL ACROSS THE WORLD...!!! PERHAPS. NO ONE KNOWS THE ACTUAL TRUTH." Law shouts, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING TO SAYI! THAT I'M SOME KIND OF MONSTER OR SOMETHINGI!" Corazon declares in a massive speech bubble, "GOD'S NATURAL ENEMY". Law reacts with wide-eyed horror, "GODI!"

Corazon explains from a high vantage point overlooking a town square, "BUT INSTEAD DOFFY IS AFTER THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF THAT!! 'D' IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ANTITHESIS OF 'GOD'. THEN PERHAPS YOUR PEOPLES' OBJECTIVE MIGHT VERY WELL BE... TO 'DESTROY THIS WORLD'! IF, FOR EXAMPLE, YOU CONSIDER 'GOD' TO BE THE 'TENRYUUBITO'..." Law explodes in rage, "I DIDN'T BECOME YOUR SUBORDINATE!! I BECAME DOFLAMINGO'S!! SO THAT I'D BE ABLE TO KILL THE PEOPLE I NEED TO KILL!!! I BECAME A PART OF THIS FAMILY... I DON'T UNDERSTAND A DAMN WORD YOU ARE SAYING!! AND BESIDES, I'M GOING TO DIE IN ONE YEAR ANYWAYS... SO WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DOI!" Law runs off shouting, "DON'T!! I'M GOING TO GO TELL DOFLAMINGO ABOUT ALL OF THIS!! THAT YOU CAN SPEAK...AND ABOUT YOUR POWER!!" Corazon yells after him, "IT DOESN'T EXIST!! LEAVE THIS PLACE AND SEARCH FOR A CURE!!!"

Corazon kicks Law hard, sending him flying with a "HYUU!!" and yelling "YOU LITTLE SHIT!!". Law crashes into the ground with impact effects "ZWOSH!!" and "DAAA AAAA AHH!!", smashing through crates labeled "DUST". Bruised but defiant, Law stands up and declares, "I HAVEN'T JUST BEEN SITTING IDLY BY THESE PAST TWO YEARS!! I'M STRONGER NOW!!" The scene shifts to a lively town square where townspeople react with surprise and affection. A woman says, "EHI! O... OKAY ♡". A man offers, "BABYS, LEND ME SOME CASH." Another voice calls, "MAKE THAT AN EXTRA-LARGE, SOOB, ICE CREAM, DASUYAN!!" A small bear-like figure cheers, "I'LL BUY YOU AN ICE CREAM, SO SHUT UP ALREADY." Someone notices, "HEY!! WHAT WERE YOU TWO UP TO FLAPPING YOUR MOUTHS OVER THEREI!" Another shouts, "HEY, LAW!! YOU BROKE THE BLOOD RULES AGAIN, DIDN'T YOUI!" A figure in a "DASUYAN" shirt waves enthusiastically.

Corazon stands amid chaos near a swan-like structure and tower, thinking, "I TRUSTED THAT BRAT AND SPILLED MY GUTS... DAMNIT...!!! SO...THIS IS HOW IT ENDS FOR ME!!" Law appears shocked. Corazon realizes, "...!I...HAS HE NOT TOLD HIM YETI!" A voice shouts, "IT'S 'HEADQUARTERS' AGAIN!!! YOU'RE BACKI WE'RE DISEMBARKING!! CORAZON!!" Marines swarm the area. Corazon thinks, "THE MARINES HAVE FOUND US." In flashback panels Law recalls, "TWO YEARS AGO WHEN I STABBED YOU... YOU DIDN'T RAT ME OUT. WHEN I THOUGHT ABOUT IT... I REALIZED I HAD OWED YOU A DEBT. SO NOW...CONSIDER US EVEN... I DECIDED NOT TO TELL HIM." Law sits on the stairs with a small smile as Corazon watches from above, thinking "HEHEHE".

On a ship in port, crew members frantically search for two missing passengers. One shouts, "I SAW THEM BOARD THE SHIP, BUT NOW I CAN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE!!" Another adds, "IT APPEARS THEY TOOK THEIR BELONGINGS AND LEFT!!" while a third demands, "WHERE ARE LAW AND CORAZONI!" A note left behind reads: "NOTE: I'VE LEFT TO HEAL LAW'S ILLNESS." In a flashback panel, a young voice wonders, "...WHAT...THE HELL... IS THIS...!!!" while holding a note with Japanese text. Corazon, bandaged and smoking, stands beside a suited man who says, "YOUNG MASTER....!! THIS WAS IN CORAZON'S HAMMOCK." Below, a Den Den Mushi rings wildly with "PURU RURURU RU...!!" and "PURU RURURU RURU....!!" as panicked voices cry, "IT'S DOFLAMINGO CALLING, ISN'T ITI!! LET ME TALK TO HIM!! ANSWER IT!!" and "THIS IS KID-NAPPING ~~~~!!!!" A desperate yell echoes across the town: "DOFLA-MINGOOO~!! SAVE ME~!!" A small boat drifts near the shore.

Aboard a small boat, a young Law with a spotted hat glares and snaps, "I TOLD YOU, THERE'S NO FRIGGIN' CURE!!" Corazon replies calmly, "I'M GOING TO HEAL YOUR ILLNESS. WE'LL GO AROUND TO EVERY HOSPITAL THERE IS." An enraged face shouts, "WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO WITH MEI!" Corazon attempts a call on the Den Den Mushi, saying, "BAGELS...!! IT'S ME. MUFFINS!! HEEEY! HELP MEEE!!!" while the snail responds "POPIPU..." and "PURU RURU..." A voice answers, "ARE YOU CALLING DOFLAMINGOI!" Corazon murmurs, "AHH... ROSINANTE..." In another scene, a man behind a desk states, "EVEN IF I SEE, VERY WELL... HOW WILL THOSE KIDSI" while another warns, "JUST SOMETHING I NEED TO TAKE CARE OF... DID YOU RUN INTO SOME TROUBLEI" and "I NEED TO STEP AWAY FROM MY MISSION POST FOR A BIT..." A sign on the wall reads "石陰する正義" as the reply comes, "NO MATTER WHAT I DO, THOSE 3 JUST WON'T BUDGE... UNDER-STOOD. THAT FAMILY HAS ALREADY BECOME RATHER INFAMOUS... BE CAREFUL."

A tall man with a topknot and glasses, identified as "MARINE HQ, ADMIRAL SENGOKU," receives a report from a small creature saying, "ROGER. I'LL LEAVE THIS IN YOUR CHARGE. DO AS YOU PLEASE...I'LL BE WAITING FOR YOUR REPORT. I'LL SEND THE DETAILS IN A 'LETTER'." A hand signs a document labeled "COMMANDER DONQUIXOTE ROSINANTE" with the note "T/N: PREVIOUSLY AS DONQUIXOTE ROCINANTE. VERIFIED AS PER THIS IMAGE." Sengoku answers a call, "YES... ENTER." Inside, a young Rosinante with blond hair declares, "MY NAME IS VERGO!!" while being questioned: "IT'S THE TRANSFER APPLICANT YOU TALKED TO YES-TERDAY..." and "—THOUGH YOUR FIRST ID BE REMISS IF I DIDN'T POINT OUT THE FRIED EGG STUCK TO YOUR LEFT CHEEK... Rosinante, now in a feathered coat, yells, "I'M NOT A MARINE!!" while a spiky-haired boy shouts, "I HATE ANYONE AND EVERYTHING CONNECTED TO THE GOV-ERNMENT!!!" and "DON'T EVEN TELL ME YOU'RE A 'MARINE'I!I!" A voice asks, "FOR REALSI!" and "DO YOU HATE THE MARINESI" as a small boat sails away. Rosinante stands before a massive hospital and says, "THEY'VE GOT TO BE ABLE TO HEAL YOU. JUST LOOK AT THIS HUGE HOSPITAL." Law retorts, "DON'T SAY START WHINING ALL OF SUDDEN...YOU'LL SOUND LIKE AN ORDINARY KID... HEY!! I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!" Inside the hospital, a doctor asks, "I... I'M SORRY, BUT WHERE ARE YOU FROM...I" while examining Law. A sign reads "FLEVANCE". The doctor continues, "HAS A MEDICINE BEEN DISCOVERED FOR IT YET, DOCTORI IT'S BEEN AROUND FOR SOME TIME NOW." A nurse exclaims in shock, "AMBER LEAD SICK-NESS"...!!!!" as Law sweats nervously.

A terrified young boy with dark, messy hair and visible white patches on his skin screams in panic, "JUST LOOK!! I'M NOT EVEN HUMAN ANYMORE!!!" as he clutches his face. Someone shouts "LAW!!" Nearby adults recoil in horror. One yells, "AND THEN CALL THE POLICE AND GET IN TOUCH WITH THE GOVERNMENT!! QUICKLY!!" Another demands, "HURRY UP AND GO GET US SOME GLOVES, DISINFECTANT, AND A GAS MASK!!" A woman shrieks "KYAA AAAAA AAAH!!" while a man cries "HE'S GONNA INFECT USS~!!" A stern voice cuts through, "ENOUGH....!!" An emergency broadcast blares: "A CHILD WITH AMBER LEAD SICKNESS IS CURRENTLY INSIDE THE HOSPITAL." The broadcast continues, warning of the disease and urging people to stay back. In a massive splash panel, a monstrous silhouette erupts with a guttural "BAFWAH!!" and large impact SFX, sending debris flying as the white-patched figure looms violently.

The monstrous figure looms over the hospital grounds as voices argue. One man insists, "BUT WE'LL FIND A CAPABLE DOCTOR NEXT TIME!!" while another snaps, "I'M SORRY... DID YOU THINK OF THE PAST...I!" A woman wails, "THAT HOSPITAL WAS THE WORST!!" The creature growls, "...THIS IS WHY I SAID I DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!! JUST FORGET IT!!" Townspeople flee in terror. A man shouts, "DISINFECT ALL OF THIS IMMEDIATELY!!" Another cries, "HE HAS WHITE BLEMISHES ON HIS SKIN-!!!" Someone else yells, "SOMEONE, ANYONE, COME QUICK!!! THERE'S A SURVIVOR FROM THE WHITE CITY!!!" The broadcast warns of amber lead sickness. Crowds panic with cries of "GO AWAY~!!" "UWAAAH, WE'RE GONNA GET INFECTED!!" "NOO~!!" and "JUST LET IT GO ALREADY!! I'M NOT INTERESTED!!" A voice questions, "HELLO, WORLD GOVERNMENTI!"

Corazon looms over the injured Law, asking coldly, "WILL YOU BE HEALEDI OR WILL YOU DIEI!" Law winces in pain. Corazon continues, "NO POINT COMPLAININ' ABOUT IT...THE NEXT PLACE WILL DEFINITELY HEAL YOU!!" and "CORAZON... ISN'T THERE A WAY TO HEAL THIS... IT HURTS..." He notes, "HE HAS ALREADY BEEN TO 8 HOSPITALS AND NOW THE BOY WITH 'AMBER LEAD SICKNESS' IS CURRENTLY—" Six months later, Corazon reflects while watching Law: "WHAT AM I DOING...TO THIS BOY WHO WAS BORN IN THAT TRAGIC TOWN...I" He thinks, "WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO HELP HIM IN THE SLIGHTEST... ALL I'M DOING IS MAKING HIM REMEMBER ALL OF THAT TRAGEDY..." Law replies quietly, "NO... I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT ANYMORE." Corazon admits, "I KNOW BACK THEN... YOU STABBED ME...BUT..." and feels sympathy for the boy who has never known anything but pain.

Corazon, tears streaming, tells Law, "YOU WERE THE ONE THAT WAS HURTING...SO ALL I COULD DO WAS FEEL COMPASSION FOR YOU....!!" Law stumbles and cries out "OWW!!" as he drops the Den Den Mushi with a "CLANG!" Corazon smiles through his tears, "IT DIDN'T EVEN HURT.....!!!" Law stares in shock, calling out "LAW.....!!" Later, a masked figure reports, "WHATEVER... JUST ANSWER THE DENDEN-MUSHI ALREADY!!" Corazon answers the call. The voice on the other end says, "YOU JUST CALLED ME 'CORA-SAN'..." Corazon reacts with surprise. The caller continues, "WHAT'S WITH THAT FACEI!" and "HEY, CORA-SAN!! CORA-SAN, WAKE UP!!" Corazon mumbles groggily as the Den Den Mushi rings.
