WE SHALL NOT CAPTURE HIM TONIGHT. WE DID, BUT STILL!!" "THAT IS WHAT WE DECIDED, RIGHT...I" "'1' IS STRAW HAT'S NUMBER." A voice shouts "ISSHOU-SAN!! WE'VE BEEN RUNNING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND FINALLY FOUND WHERE HE IS!!" Close-ups show stern faces arguing "KEEPS YAMMERING ON AFTER THE DIE HAS ROLLED... YOU'RE A DISGRACE..." "WHAT KIND OF A MAN..." "BUT THAT'S...!!" "IF WE'RE GOING TO TAKE LAW AND STRAW-HAT'S HEADS, THIS IS OUR CHANCE!!" "AND AFTER YOU TOLD OFF THE FLEET ADMIRAL SO HARSHLY!!" "MAY-NARD-SAN!!" In the ruined palace, bound figures lie on the ground while standing characters debate: "TO US, THEY ARE SIMPLY SAVIORS." "OR CRIMINALS..." "WHETHER THEY'RE REALLY PIRATES..." Rebecca appears concerned, saying "LUCY, AND HIS CREW AREN'T IN THE PALACEI" "REBECCA..." "GRANDFATHER!" She pants heavily. Kyros glares and declares "YOU'RE GOING TO BE PRINCESS, AREN'T YOUI" "WHATI!" "MORE IMPORTANTLY, REBECCA... IF I'M GOING TO RETURN TO THE THRONE..." "OH... THEM. THEY'RE TOGETHER. THEY'LL PROBABLY POKE THEIR HEADS IN HERE TOMORROW."

The next day in the New World, the Sunny sails near the Swirly Straw crew's side. Law yells from the water, "JUST WHEN I THOUGHT WE FINALLY LOST BIG MOM'S SHIP!!" Someone complains, "WHY DO WE HAVE TO GO JUMPING RIGHT BACK INTO TROUBLEI" On deck, Law grabs a blonde crewmate by the collar and roars, "SHUT UP AND DO WHAT I SAY!!! ARE YOU GONNA FOLLOW ORDERS!I OR DO YOU WANT YOUR HEART CRUSHED!!!I" The blonde retorts, "IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF WE'D JUST STAYED QUIETLY ON THE SHIP! BUT YOU JUST HAD TO RUN ON AHEAD!!" The blonde snaps back, "I'LL GO!!! YOU'LL REGRET THIS!!!" while a "BRDUM BRDUM..." sound effect pulses. Below, Luffy shouts furiously, "I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU IF EVERYONE DIES!!! SO HURRY UP!!!" Caesar urges, "HURRY UP...I YOU'RE TELLING ME TO..." and "HURRY UP, CAESAR!!!" Another voice calls, "LANDING HERE WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!! WE CAN STILL SAVE THEM!!!"

Nami screams "KYAH!!" as the ground shakes violently. Yohoho's voice calls out, "YOHOHO, WE'RE IN A FIX!! WE GOT SEPARATED FROM THE OTHERS, EHI" Nami pants while running, noting the hard ground and the mysterious little girl who distracted them. Multiple pursuers shout "O-NAMI! OUR PURSUERS!" and "LOOK OUT, ME!! LOOK OUT, NAMI-SAN!!" A massive striped snake-like creature lunges as Nami cries "OH!!" and a huge "GYAAAAAAAAH" echoes. Below, a horned man yells "THE ERUPTION RAIN IS COMING! GET DOWN!!!" while Brook sits atop a dragon-like creature saying "UFUFU... THIS IS THE SPECIAL..." An invader demands, "SO IT ENDS HERE, INVADERS!!I WHAT DID YOU DO WITH HER!I ANSWER ME!! WHY HAVE YOU COME TO THIS ISLANDI!"

A massive explosion erupts with the giant sound effect "ドォン!!" as rain begins to fall. Screams of "GYAA-AAH!!!" and "KYAA-AAH!!!" ring out amid splashing water. A small figure with a sword stands firm, declaring "WHATEVER IT IS, I'LL PROTECT YOU!" as rain falls. The horned man curses, "DAMN HIGH-MAINTENANCE DEVIL FRUIT USERS!" Nami is swept away in the flood, shouting "SAVE MEEE!!!" and "ME TOO!!" while Brook yells "NAMI-SAN!!!" and "MOMO-NOSUKE-SAN!!!" Momonosuke cries for help amid the rushing water and debris.

Nami shouts "YOU TOO, MOMO!!" and "SEE! GET IT TOGETHER!!" while Momonosuke groans "GUU-UGH" and replies "ALWAYS APPRECIATED!" A masked enemy threatens "I'LL KILL ANYONE SUSPICIOUS!!" Sheepshead charges with a massive attack, yelling "SHEEP'S HORN!!!" Brook activates his technique, calling out "SOUL PARADE!!!" The horned man warns "KEEP YOUR GUARD UP LIKE THAT, BROOK!!" Brook's skeleton face questions "WHAT IS THIS ABILITYI" while the dragon-like creature exclaims "OH!! GREAT, BONE-KICHI!!"

Sanji launches a blazing aerial kick, shouting "DIABLE!! MOUTON SHOT!!!" as his flaming leg slams into Sheepshead, sending the Gifter flying backward amid massive explosions and impact lines. Sheepshead crashes down hard. Below, a woman with dark hair reacts in shock, "!!I" while gripping a staff. In the next panels, the same woman turns with a heart-shaped speech bubble, "YOU♥", prompting a spiky-haired man to recoil in disgust, "WHAT!I! GROSS!!" The dark-haired woman shouts orders, "WE'LL REPORT THAT THE SAMURAI WASN'T THERE!!" while a subordinate replies, "YES, MA'AM!" She continues, "WE'VE CHASED THEM THIS FAR AND HE HASN'T SHOWN UP!" and "HUH!!I BUT THE SAMURAI... RETREAT!! SHEEPSHEAD-SAMA HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT!" In the forest, a large bull-like figure thinks, "......" as others discuss, "AS LONG AS SHE'S SAFE... WELL... SHE MUST HAVE ESCAPED... HEY... WHAT ABOUT THAT GIRLI" and "THE WATER'S RECEDING... WHAT WAS THAT, EXACTLYI" Below, Chopper yells from a skull-marked tunnel, "THERE'S NO TIME!! HURRY! IT'S CHOPPER-AEMON!! FROM THE FOREST BELOW! EVERYONE, COME QUICK!!!"

A massive explosion rocks the coastline near a ruined castle on a rocky island, labeled "THE KID PIRATES' HIDEOUT". Smoke and debris fill the air with loud SFX. On the ground, a chaotic battle erupts as an earth-shaking attack strikes a group of fighters. A long-haired fighter yells, "AN ENEMY ATTACKI!I" while another screams, "GYAA-AAA-AAA!!!" A tall armored figure with a helmet reacts, "!!I" as a companion shouts, "AN EARTHQUAKE!!I WHAT'S THAT SOUND!I" The ground cracks violently under the sudden assault.

Panic spreads across the battlefield as fighters shout, "REPORT WHAT HAPPENED!!!" "GET YOUR WEAPONS!!!" and "IT'S OVER THERE!!!" A massive object crashes from the sky, creating a huge crater. Killer yells, "IT APPEARS SOMETHING FELL FROM THE SKY!!" while a long-haired man reports, "THERE'S A HUGE HOLE, CAPTAIN!!" The narration box states, "THE STRONG LIVE... THE WEAK DIE...!!! THAT IS SIMPLY... THE WAY OF THIS WORLD." Fighters scramble as one asks, "THAT'S HUMAN-SHAPED ISN'T IT!I" and others cry, "WHERE DID IT FALL FROM...!!I" "WHO IN THE HELL DID WHAT TO WHO!!I"

Aboard a ship, a crew discusses a massive object that fell from above. One man points upward and exclaims, "...THAT MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT HAVE MONSTERS LIVING ON IT!I" Another recalls, "AS I RECALL, WASN'T THERE A LEGEND AROUND HERE ABOUT A 'SKY ISLAND'..." A shocked voice cries, "SO, IT FELL DOWN FROM A 'SKY ISLAND'!!I" The impact has capsized a vessel. The captain roars, "DAMMIT...!! WHO IN THE HELL!!I" as a subordinate reports, "CAPTAIN!! THE IMPACT CAPSIZED ONE OF OUR SHIPS...!!" A few minutes earlier at the ruins of the sky island "Ballon Terminal," onlookers react in alarm to a falling figure. "HE'S DANGEROUS!!" "LEAVE HIM ALONE, HIGH PRIEST!!" "WHAT MIGHT YOU BE DOINGI" "YOU DO KNOW THAT WE'RE 10,000 METRES UP, RIGHT!I"

The narration continues about the mysterious man who was looking for a place to die. "THIS MAN..." His pirate history is recounted: "AS A PIRATE... HE HAD SUFFERED DEFEAT SEVEN TIMES" "BY BOTH MARINES AND ENEMIES, HE HAD BEEN CAPTURED 18 TIMES...!!" A large man sits bound in chains while others watch. "IF YOU ARE SERIOUS, I SHALL NOT STOP YOU..." "WERE HIS TALE TO BE TOLD..." Now the scene shifts to his suicide attempt. "NOW... THIS IS HIS SUICIDE..." "AN ALMOST UNHEARD OF SUICIDE BY JUMPING FROM A SKY ISLAND..." A close-up shows a face with hands pressed together as the man utters, "NAMU." Large sound effect: "ばっっ...!!"

The tale of repeated failures continues. "TO REPEAT, HE SINGLE-HANDEDLY CHALLENGED THE MARINES & YONKOU, WAS CAPTURED 18 TIMES, AND TORTURED OVER A THOUSAND TIMES" Scenes show him enduring guillotines, chains, hanging, and impalement, with broken blades and shattered spears. "WHEN THEY SENT HIM TO THE GUILLOTINE, THE BLADE SHATTERED..." "WHEN THEY HANGED HIM, THE CHAINS BROKE..." "HE WAS SENTENCED TO DEATH 40 TIMES..." "EVEN WHEN THEY IMPALED HIM, THE SPEARS BROKE..." "IN OTHER WORDS... ULTIMATELY, HE HAS SUNK NINE GREAT PRISON SHIPS...!!" The narration returns to the present: "...AND NOW BACK TO THE PRESENT" The man plummets from the sky and crashes into the sea with a massive explosion.

The man survives the impact. A crew member shouts, "KILL THIS MAN...!!!" Another yells, "HEY!! WHAT HAPPENED!I" The explosion scatters debris and bodies with a loud "ボッゴォォン!" and screams of "GYAA-AAA!!!" Onlookers react in shock: "NO ONE COULD..." "THAT INCLUDED THE MAN HIMSELF..." "WHAT IS THIS MONSTER...!!I" "...AND OF COURSE" The man stands up from the crater, declaring, "I GUESS I CAN'T DIE....!!!" He clutches his head, muttering, "...SHIT...!! MY HEAD HURTS..." A box states: "THIS MAN'S NAME IS..." Another concludes: ""SUICIDE" IS HIS HOBBY"

Kaido towers in his massive dragon-human hybrid form, scales and horns dominating the right side of the page as he looms over smaller figures below. A voice declares, "WELL, I GUESS I JUST HAVE TO GET TO IT!" Three close-up faces react with gritted teeth and sweat. Another speaker notes, "OLD MAN WHITEBEARD SURE DID A GOOD JOB OF IT..." Kaido's enormous face fills a panel, mouth open wide as he roars, "YOU BASTARD... HURRY UP, JOKER! FINISH PREPARING FOR THE FINAL BATTLE!!!" Text boxes emphasize, "EXTREMELY ABNORMAL!! THIS IS THE WORLD'S STRONGEST CREATURE" KAIDOU!! A figure with a topknot and sun-emblem jacket stands with back turned, while a shaggy-haired silhouette and a long-haired observer watch from the foreground. Kaido continues, "A WORLD THIS BORING MIGHT AS WELL BE DESTROYED!!!! IT'S TIME TO START THE WORLD'S GREATEST WAR!!!"
