Chapter 902, "End Roll," opens by returning to the devastation Pedro left behind. In the previous scene, Pedro had introduced himself and begged, "My name... is Pedro...!! Please, lend us your aid." As the wounded allies look back on that choice, the thought becomes urgent: "The whole world is waiting for them...!! Those two alone... must not be allowed to die...!!!" Carrot and Sanji are both framed through Pedro's sacrifice, with Sanji standing at the rail afterward and finally understanding the cost: "I see. Pedro is..." The sea is quiet around him, but the silence carries the full weight of Pedro's death and the escape he made possible.

Sanji finishes the thought with grief: Pedro is "Dead, then..." He knows Pedro's resting place was never meant to be the sea near Whole Cake Island and says, "...Your resting place... wasn't supposed to be here, was it? This happened because he came to rescue me..." Carrot reaches up and gently pets him, stopping him from sinking into blame. She says, "It's alright!! It's fine, Sanji!! It was Pedro's own decision to come here!! Please don't feel responsible, Sanji!!" She reminds him why Pedro came: "You guys saved the Mokomo Dukedom... So he came here to repay the favour!!" Sanji still struggles, saying, "If Pedro hadn't been there at that moment... we would all have died!! So please..!!"

Carrot cries but refuses to let Sanji turn Pedro's sacrifice into guilt. She tells him, "Just tell him... 'Thank you' instead...!!!" and then adds, "It's fine how things ended up...!!!" Sanji accepts the pain with a quiet truth: "I know... the type of man he was..." Nearby, the souls still sing across the sea: "Soul Pocus, Soul Pocus," and Chopper, bandaged and exhausted, listens as if the ship itself is being pulled onward. The narration explains the feeling: "The ship is pulled by the tides of the ocean and the wind in the air. As if being pulled by the back of your hair..." The Straw Hats are leaving a sea of grief behind them, carried forward by wind, tide, and sacrifice.

The Sunny moves away while "Cotton candy snow..." drifts down, and Brook asks Nami, "Does this mean we're almost out of the territory?" The narration says they are "Leaving a sea of strife back there." In Totto Land, the mood has turned bright again because Big Mom has recovered. The flowers and trees sing, "The singing flowers and trees will be upbeat, as they lure you in ever so sweetly, Soul Pocus," while one flower cheers, "Mama is back up!" Another voice warns, "Although, it's sure to not be sweet." Elsewhere, Bege's group escapes, and someone asks, "Hey! How'd it go!? What happened to Straw Hat?" Bege answers with cold theatrical confidence: "Set up by Mama oh so greedy, it'll be an almighty show."

The chapter's musical narration spreads over the pursuit: "Pulled away by strings in a puppet show," and "Even that sweet luring nectar... Like that of a heart that keeps getting heartier." Pudding appears in tears while Sanji holds her in memory, and the narration continues, "There's nothing in this world more frightening than that mouth-watering sweetness." At sea, the Charlotte forces continue to press the battle: "Coming here is the 'candy,' but going back is the 'guillotine,'" and "Hanging onto life by a thread, it's a monkey show. Like shadows passing by one another, no one knows." The Sun Pirates hold the rear while someone calls, "As soon as Luffy and the others make it out of the territory, our work is done!! Hang in there!!!" The whole escape is framed as a beautiful, deadly stage performance.

In the streets, the Charlotte forces realize the Sunny has slipped away. "Where's the Straw Hat crew!?" someone shouts, and another reports, "We lost sight of them!" The waves are too violent: "Uwaaah, these waves are too...!!" Meanwhile, Pudding remembers Big Mom's command. Big Mom had told her, "Do what you always do, Pudding. Use your acting skills to make him completely fall in love." Pudding had answered, "That'll be easy, Mama!" Big Mom had mocked her as "my own personal little marionette" and said, "Oh, you're just like a little puppet, Pudding!" But Pudding, alone with Sanji, admitted the truth beneath the act: "I'm not a puppet, Mama... If you knew how I truly am... Let's get married."

Pudding's memory moves to the wedding, where the officiant said, "...Now, please lift her veil and kiss her to seal your vows." She believed, "Nobody will ever love me. I'm nothing but a hideous monster." Big Mom had laughed, "Let's gwet mawwied! Gyahaha! That's brilliant!" But Sanji saw what she hated most and said the opposite of what she expected. Pudding remembers looking at him with her third eye exposed and telling him, "Look closely, Sanji...!! At my disgusting... third eye...!!" Sanji answered, "You have... such beautiful eyes..." She was stunned: "Huh?" Later, he smiled and said, "I'm glad that my fiancée... was you, Pudding-chan." In the present memory she stops him: "H...Hey, Sanji!! I have a request...!!"

Pudding's request is shown like a filmstrip. She tells Sanji, "I have just one last request...!!" Then she steps close, kisses him, and immediately uses her Memory-Memory power to remove that moment from him. Sanji is left confused, holding the cigarette that slipped from his mouth, while Pudding hides the memory in her hand. She cries but smiles through it, saying in the memory she keeps for herself, "Thank you for everything." Then she says, "Goodbye..." The page reveals the true shape of her farewell: Sanji will not remember the kiss, but Pudding will. She chooses to bear the pain alone rather than bind him to her through a memory he cannot carry into the future.

Back in the present, Sanji notices Pudding crying and asks, "Huh? Pudding-chan. Your last request... what is it?" She clutches the removed memory while the battle reports continue elsewhere: "It seems that the territorial sea slugs have made it to the front line!!" A messenger announces, "I have a report!! The Straw Hats' ship has made it out of our territory!!!" Panic spreads: "Why are they here now?!" but Germa 66 has finished its role. Judge's forces attack through the chaos, and the order goes out: "Return to your ships, Germa 66!! We've accomplished our mission!!" Another report follows: "Germa is retreating!!" The Straw Hats have escaped, but the people who helped them are still surrounded by danger.

In the Mirror World, Brulee sits beside Katakuri after his defeat. She says, "I didn't want to see... my big brother on his back, defeated." Katakuri shifts weakly with "Click clack" and "Slip..." and she knows exactly what he did: "You fell on your back on purpose, didn't you? I saw you falling forward at first. Weren't you doing that?" Katakuri breathes heavily and answers only by wondering aloud, "...I'm wondering why..." Brulee completes the thought for him: "...But Brûlée... even in my normal life... my back having never touched the ground... is just one big lie...!!" The scene strips away the legend of the unbeatable brother and leaves the sibling who has always known more than she pretended.

Brulee confirms that she has always known. Katakuri says, "I've seen you through the mirrors before," and she smiles, "Yes... I know that." She remembers how others once mocked him: "If you would just hide your mouth, you'd be able to make friends," and he answered as a child, "Dun need 'em!! I am who I am! I'll beat up anyone who laughs at me." Another memory shows the danger that followed: "Brûlée is badly injured!!" and the children realize, "The ones you beat up earlier... came back to get their revenge, Katakuri!!" Katakuri asks, "...Then why is my sister the one that..." and Brulee calls him "Big brother..." The flashback makes clear that his terrifying persona grew from trying to protect family after Brulee was hurt.

Brulee comforts Katakuri in the present and rejects his shame. She tells him, "It doesn't hurt at all... Big brother you are... fine just the way you are." Katakuri remembers the guilt: "It was my fault that Brûlée got hurt..." and, as a child, apologizes, "I'm... I'm sorry..." But the adult Brulee still accepts him without hesitation. When Flampe's betrayal and insults echo, Katakuri's rage is focused not on his own image but on his sister's injury: "How dare you mark my sister's face!!!" Brulee says, "I was too naive...!!" and he answers, "I won't show anyone my weakness anymore!! I'll bring complete and total terror to all of you!!" The monstrous reputation of Katakuri is revealed as armor built from love and failure.

Katakuri asks about Luffy: "About Straw Hat... If you knew where he was right now... you would probably think, 'That's great,' right? Can you see the future, too?" Brulee answers, "...He has escaped from our territory." Katakuri, lying wounded, smirks and says, "I knew it." Brulee cries but refuses to forgive the insult to her brother: "But I definitely won't forgive him! After all that he did to my big brother!!!" Outside, the souls begin again: "Soul Pocus, Soul Pocus," and the forces hear, "She's coming!!" The warning spreads: "Mama is comingggg!!!" while the musical line announces, "The egotistical sing this." Big Mom's shadow returns over the battlefield just as Katakuri quietly acknowledges Luffy's escape.

Big Mom's song takes command of the sea. The lyrics address everyone she has trapped: "If you're lured in... by the smell of the sweet cake that's within... then first, you'll have to... pay what I'm due." The question is merciless: "Will you pass through this land of candy?? Or will you stay to be played with willingly?" The song continues, "There's nothing in this world more frightening than that mouth-watering sweetness. Soul Pocus, a Mama's willfulness." Then Big Mom presents the final choice: "Will you give me your life? Or will you choose... to die in strife?" The Queen sings "Soul Pocus" and the line becomes the threat itself: "'Life' or... 'Death'." Her recovered joy has returned the arc to its central horror: sweetness backed by absolute domination.

The Straw Hats have finally escaped the territory of a Yonko. The narration says, "With the help of a powerful shield, the Straw Hat crew has successfully... escaped from the territory of a Yonko..." On the Sunny, hunger immediately takes over the relief. Luffy asks weakly, "Hey... would it be alright... if I whip up some food?" and then groans, "Food..." The crew erupts: "Sanji's foooooodddd!!!" "Foooooooddd!!!" and Luffy admits, "The truth is, I'm really hungry...!!!" At the same time, in the East Blue, the ocean-going restaurant Baratie is shown. Customers shout, "Safe food!! Delicious food!!" and "Sanji's food! Yummy! Mamy!!" while Zeff asks, "Did something happen while I was gone?" The story links Sanji's return to feeding people with his origin.

At the Baratie, the kitchen is chaos and comfort at once. Cooks yell, "Those bastards--" and "Hurry up and bring the food!!" while hungry customers chant, "Foooood!!" The chefs work with "Chop chop" and sizzling pans, and someone explains the simple truth Sanji and Zeff share: "Okay, okay! No matter the time of day, they'll still get hungry. No matter the kind of person it is, they'll still get hungry." That belief carries into the final image. Zeff and Sanji, separated by seas but joined by the same creed, stand over food for the hungry. Sanji says, "Now, dig in!" and declares, "I'll feed anyone who wishes to eat!!" Zeff echoes the spirit behind it: "The talking comes later!!" The chapter ends on that inherited rule of father and son.
