Queen, transformed into a brachiosaurus, is immediately overwhelmed by O-Lin. She grabs and whips his massive body through the Udon prison yard while shouting, "You old hag! Just who do you thi-" only for the impact to cut him off. The guards cry, "Lord Queeeeen!" and "Giants! Giants!" as Queen is smashed around. O-Lin demands, "Give me your oshiruko, you pesky lizard!" while Luffy and Chopper stare in disbelief. The prisoners scream through the destruction, and Luffy realizes, "She's not just some old lady!"

The entire prison mine shakes under the fight, and word spreads: "Udon's in trouble!" Queen is hurled into the ground and the walls with enough force to terrify the guards. Luffy shouts, "Get down, Gramps!" as Hyogoro hits the floor beside him. The prisoners cry out, "Gyaa aaah!" and even Kid and Killer, still trapped in the water, keep laughing and gasping through the chaos. O-Lin stands above the wreckage while Queen's giant body crashes hard enough to make the mine feel as if it is breaking apart.

Luffy checks on Kid and Killer, shouting, "Oi! Are you two alive?!" and is relieved when someone calls, "Yes! Someone got them!" The guards beg, "Lord Queen! Please, hang in there!" and then stare at the result of the clash: O-Lin has laid Queen out with just two hits. They shout that she is on a different level and that this really is Big Mom. One guard panics, "Notify Lord Kaido!" while O-Lin sniffs the air calmly and Queen lies buried in the ground.

In the wreckage, a guard notices that "the cell that is not to be unlocked" has been busted wide open. Another says that whatever was in there is probably long dead and tells everyone to forget about escaping because the thing should be handcuffed. As the guards consider shooting it, one warns not to provoke the old man because of what Lord Kaido said. Then a worse problem appears: the snail can no longer communicate. A guard reports, "Chief, that's the thing! The snail can't communicate anymore!" and another realizes no one can get in touch with Onigashima.

At Udon Prisoner's Mine Control Tower, Raizo has used the chaos to infiltrate the communication room. He chants, "Nin nin nin nin!" while Caribou explains why his plan is useful. Caribou says all the ruckus has made his job easy, though he admits he does not know what it is all about. He explains that the telepathic system of Wano's smart snails is their weakness: each snail sends its signal to a boss snail, and the boss snail sends that signal to the other snails. Because communications by the enemy are a major problem, the boss snail is the key.

Caribou spells out the strategy: if he swallowed the boss snail inside Udon, communications across Wano would be cut off. Raizo calls him bright, but Caribou says he has not merely been staring at the wall during his time there; he even knows where the boss snail is. He tells Raizo to secure the key to the plan while he handles communication. Raizo vows, "Just you wait, Kawamatsu! I will free you!" But an alert suddenly comes from B Tower, and the guards shout that their snail is not working, realizing something has gone wrong.

O-Lin finds the giant pot at last and beams, "My o-shiruko! Here it is! I found the pot!" The watching prisoners are horrified, asking what she will do when she discovers it is empty and whether she will take out her anger on them. O-Lin lifts the lid, delighted by the fragrance, saying, "How sweet and rich a fragrance! Look at how much there is! I'm so glad we came all this way!" But the pot is empty. The tension hangs for one beat as everyone realizes that the food she came for is gone.

O-Lin's face goes dark. The guards scream, "Everyone, evacuate!" and "Save yourselves!" because an unpredictable disaster is about to be unleashed. Luffy, still stuck in the ring, sympathizes despite himself and says, "I get how you're feelin' right now! I wanna have some again, too! That oshiruko sure was yummy!" Hyo panics, "Oi, oi, Straw Hat!" Luffy has accidentally said the worst possible thing in front of the woman who came all this way for the food.

O-Lin turns and glares directly at Luffy. She says, "You... You did this!" Luffy tries to recover, asking, "Hello? You just-" and then, "Why's everyone lookin' at me?" but the damage is done. Chopper screams, "Luffy-taro! She found it, but you've also found your way into deep water!" Luffy only makes it worse by repeating that he thought the oshiruko was yummy. Hyo and Chopper yell at him for saying it out loud again, while O-Lin's rage fixes on Luffy.

O-Lin charges into the ring, and Luffy tries to warn her, "Wait a minute, Big Mom! If we fall out of this ring, we're going to die! For real!" He points to the collars and says the blades will come out and cut off their heads if they leave the ring. O-Lin only asks, "Is this who the hell are you, oshiruko eater?! Big Mom!?" Luffy blurts, "Oh, yeah!! I'm disguised as a samurai right now! That's why you don't know who I am!" but his explanation cannot stop her attack.

The danger becomes immediate. The collars start beeping, and Hyo warns, "This is bad! This is really bad!" Luffy and Hyo cannot take even a single step back from the ring. Luffy yells at Big Mom, "Just kill those two and be done with it!" but O-Lin explodes with a different grief. She says the poor people in that tiny village were kind to her, so she wanted to bring them back a bunch of oshiruko. "I wanted them to have some too!" she cries, remembering O-Tama's village.

O-Lin calls her rage "kindness" and asks Luffy, "Why did you eat it, boy?!" She smashes into the ring as the collars beep faster. Luffy screams, "Gramps! This is it, I guess! There's no saving me now!" and the two are knocked from the ring. Hyo clings to Luffy and shouts, "Get off, damn it!" while Luffy answers, "Damn it! I won't let you die! And I'm not dyin' either! Get off!" In the collision and panic, Luffy grabs at Hyo's collar.

The collar explodes away from Hyo instead of killing him. The deadly ring separates in midair, and Luffy and Hyo tumble free. Luffy is stunned: "I got it off, Gramps! What'd I just do? Woohoo!" Hyo realizes what just happened and survives the fall. Luffy laughs in disbelief, saying, "There's no way... That, just now, was..." Big Mom looms behind them again, still angry, while Hyo says, "So you dodged me again... Alright, time to scram, Gramps!"

Hyo stops Luffy from running. He tells him, "Straw Hat! That feeling... Before you forget it! Protect me! Now!" Luffy shouts that they have to run, but Hyo says strength blooms only in adversity. Luffy understands that Hyo wants him to train against a Yonko and protests, "You're crazy! Training?! Now?! If I fail, you'll die!" Hyo answers, "I accept that risk!" Big Mom charges, and Luffy faces her head-on. The chapter ends with Luffy bracing himself and shouting, "Come, then! Yonko!!"
