Whitebeard erupts in silent fury and strikes Akainu from behind, blasting him into the ground while his crew cries, "Hiii!! Boss!!!" and someone warns, "Akainu!!! Look out!!!" Akainu answers with a brutal magma blow that burns away part of Whitebeard's head, but Whitebeard does not fall. Marines panic, shouting, "Th-the boss is mad!! Everyone, get away!!!" while Akainu coughs and Whitebeard keeps advancing despite the wound.

Whitebeard's quake power tears through Marineford. Marines shout, "It's coming down!!! The Marine HQ building is... collapsing!!!" and "Uwaaaahh!!" as the headquarters cracks and falls. Akainu, still conscious, coughs and mutters, "Why, you..." while others scream, "Whitebeard!!!" and "Admiral Sakazuki!!!" The entire fortress buckles under Whitebeard's rage, and the battlefield understands that Ace's death has pushed him into a final destructive fury.
Marineford Plaza splits in two under Whitebeard's power. Pirates and Marines tumble as voices scream, "Don't fall!!" and "Grab on here!!!" Others report, "We're completely cut off from the boss!!!" and "The pirates are on the other side!!!" The commanders shout "Boss!!!" and realize Whitebeard has separated himself from them. Even with half of his face gone, Whitebeard tells the enemy, "I'm not done yet!!!" while someone gasps, "With half of your face gone, you still have such power!!!"

Whitebeard's men continue the retreat, crying, "Boss!!! Ace!!!" as another pirate shouts, "Do your weeping on the ship!!!" The order goes out: "Hurry!!! Get on the ships!!!" and "All ships, get to the mouth of the bay!!!" The fleet begins moving across the rough water. Boa Hancock worries, "Salome! I'm worried about Luffy!" and calls, "Shaa shaaa!!!" while Jimbei carries Luffy away through the chaos, trying to preserve Ace's last wish.

A new disturbance appears beside the ruined Marine headquarters. Marines ask, "Eh!?" and "Hey... what... what's that!?" while someone shouts, "There's something next to the headquarters!!!" San Juan Wolf peeks over the wall and says, "Ah! They spotted me." Marines recognize the impossible figure: "Eh!? He's... it can't be!!" Another notices the execution platform area and asks, "That's not all!! Who's that over by the execution platform!?" Doflamingo laughs, "Fufufufufu-fufufu!! This is awesome! You really did something amazing!!" while Sengoku snarls, "You... ...!! You're...!! How did you get here!?"

The Blackbeard Pirates reveal themselves on the execution platform. Marines cry, "The Blackbeard Pirates!!?" as Blackbeard laughs, "Zehahaha-hahaha!!!" His crew stands with him, including the new Impel Down recruits. Blackbeard calls out to Whitebeard: "It's been too long!!! It's good to see you at death's door, old man!!!" Whitebeard glares and says, "Teach!!!" The sudden arrival turns the battle again, bringing Marshall D. Teach face to face with his former captain at the moment Whitebeard is wounded and furious.
