Out into the Sunlight

Pursuing them is the Master of Hell, Chief Warden Magellan. His massive face fills a panel as he roars with fury, "YOU WON'T ESCAPE!" and "DAMN IT...!!" A diagram shows the prison levels with a note that Magellan's poison has sealed off Level 2. On Level 1, Buggy has escaped and is heading for the front entrance with the escaping prisoners. In the chaotic battle on Level 4, Luffy charges forward shouting "FORWARD!!! KEEP PRESSING FORWARD!!!" while striking enemies. Prisoners in striped uniforms fight alongside him. A caption states they are accompanied by the New Kama troops and the newly escaped prisoners. Someone yells "HE'S TAKING US OUT ONE BY ONE!!" as Luffy continues his rampage. Another note explains that after escaping the hellish battlefield of Level 4, Luffy runs through Level 3, the Starvation Hell. A prisoner cries out in pain, "GYAAAH!!"

The unprecedented incident continues to escalate beneath the water's surface. A caption reveals that Head Guard Shiryuu has betrayed the prison and cut off all communications to the outside world. Nobody outside knows the situation inside the prison. Luffy is shown running desperately along a path as voices discuss, "WE CAN MAKE IT TO THE EXECUTION AT MARINEFORD!!" and "IF WE CAN TAKE ONE OF THEM, MARINE BATTLESHIPS AND PRISON SHIPS ARE SURROUNDING THE PRISON." A clock panel reads "Four hours to go..." with ticking sounds "KACHI... KOCHI...". The final panel shows chaotic fighting with the large text "WAAAAAHHH" and the caption "Ace's execution approaches."

Prisoners in striped uniforms flee desperately up the stone stairs of Impel Down. "MAGELLAN'S RIGHT BEHIND US!!!" "HURRY TO LEVEL 2!!!" "HURRY!!!" A wide-eyed prisoner shouts, "WHO CAN STILL STAND!!!" Another warns, "THERE'S ONLY ONE MAN BEHIND YOU..." while a third states, "YOU'RE THE LAST ONES, HUHI" Magellan suddenly appears at the base of the stairs, his body coated in dripping poison that splashes across the floor and walls. "AHH...!!"

Inazuma's face fills a panel with a confident grin. "INAZUMA!!!" Magellan's venom-dripping visage glares back. Inazuma transforms their hands into massive blades and declares, "LARGE SHEARS." A guard reacts, "UNDERSTOOD..." Inazuma swings, "NUUU~!!" The enormous scissors slice through the stone staircase supports with repeated cutting sounds "CHOKIN!!" as the structure begins to collapse. Inazuma stands ready below while the severed stairs crumble.

Ivankov stares upward in shock as the stairs are cut. "IVA IS STILL DOWN THERE!" "WHY DID YOU CUT THE STAIRS...!I" "INAZUMA!I" Inazuma replies from above, "JUST KEEP MOVING!!" while a voice calls, "PLEASE, BE SAFE!!" Magellan looms over Ivankov in a massive splash panel, poison dripping from his coat. Ivankov stands defiantly below. In close-up, Ivankov smiles and says, "IF YOU DON'T KNOW..." Magellan growls, "WHAT EXACTLY... ARE YOU PLANNINGI"

Ivankov yells furiously, "A COMPLETE IDIOT!!!" Magellan counters, "THEN YOU ARE..." The two clash violently with impact effects and motion lines. Ivankov declares, "I'LL SHOW YOU THE ULTIMATE KAMABAKKA HEADQUARTERS NEW KAMA KEMPO!!!" Magellan retorts, "BUY TIMEI NNUFU, YOU'RE ASSUMING YOU CAN BEAT ME." "YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN BUY ENOUGH TIME FOR THE OTHERS TO ESCAPEI THAT WON'T HAPPEN." Ivankov responds with a fierce battle cry, "HIIIHAA!!!"

On Level 2, Luffy's side, chaos erupts as Luffy charges forward with a fierce grin. "THAT'S STRANGE, THE POISON GUY WAS RIGHT BEHIND US A SECOND AGO!!" someone shouts. "IVA AND INAZUMA STOPPED ON THE FLOOR BELOW US," another notes. A massive Manticora roars, "GYAAA, THE MANTICORA!!" while prisoners panic about men's underwear. Luffy's face twists in alarm. "...!!!" he reacts. "BELIEVE IN THE STRENGTH OF THE MIRACLE WORKER!!!" a voice urges. "DON'T JOKE AROUND!!" another snaps. "IF THAT'S THE CASE, THEN WE HAVE TO PRESS FORWARD!!" The group debates the poison threat. "COULD THEY BE FIGHTING THE POISON GUY!I LET'S GO BACK!!" In the lower section, empty cells line the stone corridors. On Level 3, Ivankov confronts Magellan. A grotesque melting figure screams, "MY FACE... MY FACE... MY FACE IS MELTING!!! MELTING... MELTING..." as toxic liquid drips everywhere. "GYAAAAA-AAAAA!!!" echoes with "JUU-WRAAAH!!" Magellan looms. Ivankov laughs wildly, "HIIIHAA! YOUR FACE ISN'T MELTING, IS ITI YOU GOT ONE!" A small "GARAN..!!" sounds as makeup flies. "NOT!!! THAT'S JUST MY MAKEUP!!!" Ivankov declares with a massive grin. In the next clash, Ivankov unleashes power. "NEW KAMA KEMPO, AESTHETIC TECHNIQUE 44," he announces, striking with "BABA!!" Magellan growls, "OHI THEN LET'S FINISH THIS!!" and "STOP WASTING MY TIME."

Ivankov launches a powerful strike labeled "MUDAGE SHORIKEN**!!!" with explosive impact and motion lines. A note details the technique. GASHAN!!" A voice wonders, "MORE STALLING...!I" Luffy's silhouette flees through the collapsing structure. "KEEP OUT!!!" Magellan roars as debris flies and the path crumbles.

On Level 1, Buggy's side, a massive close-up shows Buggy screaming in terror as the sound effect "ひいいいいいい!!" erupts around him. "THEY'RE HERE!!" he yells. The next panel explodes into chaos as four enormous demon beast guards smash through the prison architecture. "ALL FOUR OF THEM!!!" a prisoner shouts while another cries "THE DEMON BEAST GUARDS ARE HERE!!!" amid the impact SFX "ドドン!!" In the bottom section a striped-shirted prisoner panics, "BUH!! I'M GIVING UP ON ESCAPING!!" as others scream "RETREAT!!! WE CAN'T FIGHT THEM!!" and "THIS IS THE END!!!" while the beasts rampage through the stone corridors.

Crocodile stands tall in a long black coat, calmly ordering "MOVE IT." Nearby voices erupt: "NBOBOBO BOSS!!I" "CROCO-DILE!!!" and "...!! YOU IDIOT... WHERE ARE YOU LOOKING, GIGORS..." Mr. 3 appears sweating, muttering "S... SOMETHING TERRIBLE..." and "IT'S YOU... MR. 3..." Luffy suddenly pops up with a shocked "AH!" as the crowd erupts "EEEEEEHHHH!!! STRAWHAT!!!" Someone yells "GOOD!! YOU GUYS ARE OKAY!!" while another stammers "TH... TH... THAT'S THE SHICHIBUKAI... JIMBEI!!I" amid the rubble and fallen guards.

A guard stares in horror at the tower, shouting "PER-VERTS!!I WHAT'S GOING ON!!I" as prisoners pour down from Level 2. "CAPTAIN BUGGY!! A BUNCH OF PRISONERS AND PERVERTS ARE COMING UP FROM LEVEL 2!!" Another scene shows Mr. 2 Bon Clay being confronted: "BUHEEH!!! YOU'RE HERE TOO, MR. 2!!" "YOU GUYS ABANDONED US BACK THERE!!!" Below, guards panic as the two groups merge: "DID THEY ESCAPE FROM CHIEF WARDEN MAGELLAN!!I THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!" "THE TWO GROUPS HAVE MANAGED TO TEAM UP!!!" "THIS IS BAD! THE PRISONERS FROM LEVEL 4 ARE COMING UP TOO!!!" "WHERE'S THE CHIEF WARDEN!!I"

Luffy whips around in shock as Magellan unleashes a massive liquid attack labeled "HYDRA" with the SFX "ゴォォ". "!!I" Luffy gasps. The next spread reveals the enormous hydra-like poison dragon surging forward while voices cry "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!I" "MAGELLAN TOO!!I" and "HERE HE COMES!!! IT'S MAGELLAN!!!" Chaos erupts among the prisoners and guards as the hydra strikes. In the bottom panels Luffy stares in disbelief, asking "WHAT HAPPENED TO IVA AND THE CRAB GUY!I" while nearby figures react with "EH...!!I" and pained sounds "あああ".

A massive wax barrier erupts as Mr. 3 shouts "CANDLE WALL"!!! The structure holds back a torrent of poison. Luffy's group races through the chaos. A voice yells, "THIS IS GETTING BAD... WE HAVE MORE THAN MAGELLAN TO WORRY ABOUT...!!!" Another calls, "LUFFY, HURRY TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE ON THE TOP FLOOR!!!" Luffy roars "DAMN IT!!!" as Buggy's crew warns, "YOU CAN'T!!! WE HAVE TO RUN FROM HIM!!!" The Hydra looms overhead. Someone screams, "EVERYONE, LOOK OUT!!! THE HYDRA'S ATTACKING!!!" Prisoners spot distant ships and react, "THE SHIPS...!I REALLY!I" A guard orders, "CARRY OUT YOUR ORDERS, IMMEDIATELY!!!" Magellan, veins bulging, bellows at Luffy, "GO, NOW!! IT CAN'T HOLD FOR LONG!!!" Luffy snaps back, "I REFUSE TO REMAIN IN YOUR DEBT!!!" Buggy retorts, "JEEZ, YOU'RE SO OPTIMISTIC YOU MAKE ME SICK, STRAWHAT!! IF I'M NOT CAREFUL, I'LL START THINKING OF YOU AS A FRIEND!!" The Hydra crashes down amid explosions and debris.
