Roger and Whitebeard

On a tropical island beach, the Roger Pirates spot an approaching figure. A crew member shouts, "THE SAMURAI! THE ONE WE HEARD ABOUT!!!" Another yells, "HERE HE COMES!!!" and "FINALLY ROGER!" as dramatic sound effects fill the air. Kozuki Oden appears, declaring "NITOURYUU ODEN..." while facing the pirates. He clashes with them, saying "DEALING WITH THEM WON'T BE EASY!!!" and "ALL I HAVE TO DO IS TAKE THEIR TREASURE, RIGHTI!" A crewmate warns, "WAIT, COMMANDER ODEN!!!" The Roger Pirates are noted to be on a different level than previous enemies. Oden unleashes his attack with "GAN MODOKI!!!" as an opponent cries "GUAAAH!!!"

The fight intensifies. A swordsman says, "FINE BY ME." while another calls out, "WAIT, GABAN, RAYLEIGH!!!" The crew debates, "SHOULD WE CUT HIM INTO PIECES, RAYLEIGHI" and notes, "THE RUMORS WERE TRUE!!! HE'S INCREDIBLY STRONG!!!" Oden is addressed as "HEY, SAMURAI!!!" and described as "THE AURA OF A WILD BEAST!!!" One pirate cautions, "YOU JUST WANT TO FACE HIM YOURSELF..." while another replies, "I WOULDN'T WANT MY TWO BEST MEN TO GET HURT!" Oden then strikes with a powerful "KAMUSARI!!!!" sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

Explosions and impacts rock the area as Oden's attack lands. Crew members react with "INCREDIBLE!!!" and "WHAT THE HELL WAS THATI!" while one mutters "HMMI!" Opponents are sent flying with cries of "DUAAH!!!" and "HUHI!" A pirate exclaims, "THEY AREN'T EVEN TOUCHING!!!" as massive shockwaves and debris fill the panels. Oden presses the assault amid the chaos, with dramatic sound effects emphasizing the overwhelming force of the clash.

A colossal impact shatters the sky above a tropical island as a massive sphere of force erupts, sending shockwaves and debris flying. The Roger Pirates' ship is hurled violently onto the shore amid flying palm trees and wreckage. Whitebeard stands tall with his naginata, roaring "GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!!!" while laughing "GURARARA!!!" Roger grins fiercely beside him, replying "YOU LOOK GOOD, ROGER!!!" as another pirate shouts "WAHAHA HAHA!!!" Roger then asks, "HOW MANY YEARS HAS IT BEEN, NEWGATEI!"

The two legendary crews clash in an all-out battle. Roger Pirates and Whitebeard Pirates fight fiercely across the island and sea, swords and weapons swinging amid shouts of "COME ON, MEN!!!" and "LOOT THEM!!!" Massive impact effects and motion lines fill the panels. Narration boxes state: "THE BATTLE BETWEEN THESE TWO GREAT PIRATE CREWS... LASTED THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS... WITH THE UPPERHAND CONSTANTLY SHIFTING FROM SIDE TO SIDE!!!" The island shakes under the prolonged conflict.

Four days later the former enemies sit together drinking and laughing. Crates of sake are exchanged as one man declares, "THIS HAS JUST BECOME A GIFT EXCHANGE... I'LL GIVE YOU THREE CRATES FOR IT!!!" Another complains about an "OUTRAGEOUS SHIRT" while others note "THIS SOUTHERN SAKE IS TOO GOOD." Young apprentices including a boy in a straw hat are observed from afar. Shanks and others discuss how the boys have been there a while, with one noting a certain monster "NEVER SLEPT" during the truce.

Roger and his crew examine an ancient stone with strange symbols. A voice explains, "THESE SYMBOLS ARE A SECRET CODE... PASSED FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION TO THE FIRSTBORN OF THE KOZUKI CLAN FROM WANO." Roger asks if someone can read it. They reveal that thirteen years ago their log pose reached its limit at the Island Road Star, yet they realized it was not the final island. Roger declares, "AN ISLAND YOU NEED TO REACH IN ORDER TO TRAVEL THE WHOLE WORLD. A FEAT NEVER DONE BEFORE. I'M SURE THERE'S ONE LAST ISLAND!!!"

Gol D. Roger stands before a Poneglyph, pointing at its inscriptions. "The World Government banned the deciphering of Poneglyphs long ago!!!" he declares. "It has these inscriptions marked on four special red stones, I believe they're clues to the final island, but..." He continues, "I used to think they were ordinary objects, so I was surprised when I discovered that they were essential reference points for achieving our goal." The scene shifts to a tropical island where Roger and his crew gaze toward a massive waterfall. "If we can get there, surely we'll be the biggest pirate crew in the world!!!" Roger exclaims. "That means the World Government doesn't want anyone to reach the final island. Their actions only confirm the legends that there's a huge treasure hidden there!!!" Whitebeard growls, "The biggest..." In close-ups, a shocked crewmate yells "WHATI" while Roger grins wildly, "That's right! And then I'll be..."

Whitebeard recalls in narration boxes, "I was so stunned that I couldn't move." and "He'd already left me speechless twice. Who is this guy, anywayI!" On the beach, Whitebeard roars at Roger, "What a load of crap, Roger! Are you a kid by any chanceI!" while Roger laughs "UHAHAHA!" and the crew erupts with "GURARARA RARARARA!!!" Roger points forward and pleads, "Hey, why are you deciding this by yourselfI! With him by my side, I know I can get to the final island!!! Please let me borrow Oden for one year, Newgate!!! This is my last request!!!" Oden kneels and bows deeply, begging, "Stop it! This is shameful! You shouldn't bow to me!!!" and "I beg you, Oden! Please sail with us for one year!!!" The Roger Pirates panic, shouting "Stop it, Captain!!! They're our rivals!!!" and "Captain Roger's bowing to Whitebeard!!!" as Whitebeard's crew reacts in shock, "What's happeningI!"

Whitebeard yells furiously, "Quit screwing around, Roger! Do you really think I'll let you take a member of my familyI!" while Roger clutches his chest, thinking, "I could feel my blood pumping, even though I tried to hide it..." and "What do these stones have to do with the Kozuki clanI!" Oden shouts desperately, "I want to get to the bottom of this. Please let me go with them!!!" Whitebeard's crew reacts with "HAAAAH! The old man is pissed!!!" and "Before I could even think straight..." "I already had my answer." Whitebeard glares, "Whitey-chan!!!" and questions, "Was this meeting with Roger a mere coincidenceI!" Roger grins and insists, "We're brothers, aren't weI!" and "But it's only for a year, Whitey-chan... please!!!" Whitebeard retorts, "No kidding, of course I hate the idea!!!" and "You look disgusted!!!"

Whitebeard laughs heartily, "So you're free to choose what you want to do!!!" Roger replies, "Sure! You've all become amazing pirates!!!" The Whitebeard Pirates cheer, "We prefer this ship, so we'll wait for you return here!!!" and "We'll stay here!!!" Oden's family waves goodbye as supplies are loaded. Roger calls out, "It's incredible, there's so much!!! And supplies too!!! Roger gave us all the treasure on his ship as a thank you!!!" Whitebeard turns, "Pops! Aren't you going to say goodbyeI!" The crew shouts, "Don't forget to bring back some souvenirs!" "See you soon!!!" and "Do you want Oden and his family to starve to deathI!" as the ship departs. Whitebeard orders, "Give those supplies back right now, idiots!" A crewmate salutes, "Y-yes sir!!!"

The Oro Jackson sails through rough seas as narration declares, "THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ADVENTURE!!!" and "IT WAS THEN THAT THE SECOND CHAPTER OF MY LIFE AS A PIRATE HAD BEGUN!!!" A crewmate thinks, "WHITEY-CHAN IS A GREAT MAN, BUT... ROGER IS INCOMPARABLE! LUCKY ME!" On deck, the crew spots spies and shouts, "CAPTAIN ROGER, WE FOUND SPIES!!!" Roger holds a baby and laughs, "IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I LAST HELD A BABY! SO THEIR NAMES ARE MOMONOSUKE AND HIYORII" Oden remarks, "THEY REMIND ME OF MY CHILDHOOD..." Suddenly Inuarashi and Nekomamushi appear; someone yells, "HEY! THE CAT AND DOG ARE GONE TOO!!! THOSE IDIOTS!!!" The pair cry, "WE HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH YOU, ODEN-SAMA!!!" as Oden roars, "INUARASHI! NEKOMAMUSHI! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HEREI!!" with a large "ぱいーん!!" sound effect.

The Roger Pirates confront Oden on deck. A massive crewmate growls, "WE WON'T ACCEPT YOU AS FAST AS THE CAPTAIN DID, YA HEARI!!" while another warns, "YOU'RE ONLY HERE BECAUSE THE CAPTAIN NEEDS YOUR 'KNOWLEDGE'..." Oden stands firm as the crew glares. In a port town the crew panics: "HE STOLE MY EGGS!!!" "MY RADISHES WERE STOLEN!" "THE CAPTAIN IS GONNA KILL US!!!" Oden questions, "HUHI! ISN'T THIS AREA LAWLESSI!" and orders, "GO, MEN!!!" At a lively feast the pirates raise mugs shouting, "TO OUR TIME WITH ODEN!" "LET'S MAKE A TOAST..." "ODEEEEN! ODEEEEN!" with wild cheers of "GYAHHAHAHAHAHA!" and sound effects "ももももももも!"

Roger snarls, "THAT'S WHY I'M IN A HURRY!" as Buggy and Shanks react with shock: "WHAAATI!" "HAHAHAHA!!!" Roger continues, "ONE YEAR LEFT TO LIVE!!! YOU HAVE JUST..." The Oro Jackson launches skyward toward a floating island labeled "THE SKY ISLAND!" with impact sounds "ばーん!!" The crew stares upward in awe, one exclaiming, "TO THINK THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE LIVING IN THE SKY... UNBELIEVABLE!!!" Another shouts, "THIS SKY WORLD IS HUGE! IT TRULY IS ENDLESS!!!" The ship rockets higher amid massive "ズゴオオオオ!!" and "ズゴオオ!!" effects as someone screams, "GYAAAAAH! I'M GOING TO DIE!"

On the Sky Island the crew discovers a giant golden bell. Buggy yells, "WOW, A BELL MADE OF GOLD! HOW ARE WE GOING TO TAKE THIS, CAPTAINI!" Roger replies, "YOU CAN COME BACK WHEN YOU'RE A CAPTAIN, BUGGY. I HAVE NO TIME FOR THIS." Buggy protests, "WHAAATI!" while another voice says, "LET'S AT LEAST TAKE A PIECE OR TWO!!!" and "I FOUND IT!!!" Oden narrates, "I HAVE COME HERE AND WILL LEAD THIS PASSAGE TO THE FARTHEST ENDS OF THE WORLD!!!" Roger reads an inscription about a weapon called "POSEIDON" and notes, "THE STONE HAS A VOICE, SO IT WAS EASY TO FIND..." The page ends with narration: "REVELATION AFTER REVELATION!!!" "I'M GOING TO THE END, ROGER..." "THE GOAL FOR WHICH YOU RISKED YOUR LIFE... THE FINAL CHAPTER OF YOUR GREAT ADVENTURE!!!" and "GOOD WORK, ODEN!!!" with the chapter title "ONE PIECE CAP.966 / FIM".
