The chapter returns to Marineford with Whitebeard's tsunami towering over the bay. Marines scream, "It's a tsunami!!!" and panic as the walls of water rise on both sides of the fortress. Doflamingo laughs that this is truly the monster of legend, while another Marine gasps, "What incredible power...!!" Whitebeard stands below, laughing "Gurararararara!!!" with absolute confidence. The page emphasizes the scale of the opening attack: Whitebeard's quake power threatens to swallow the Marines, the Royal Shichibukai, and the entire battlefield before the armies even clash directly.
Aokiji answers the tsunami. Sengoku or another Marine calls, "Aokiji...!!" and Aokiji mutters, "You little tyke...!!!" before launching "Ice Age!!!" He freezes the monstrous waves in place, turning the bay and the water around Whitebeard's ships into an enormous sheet of ice. The frozen sea traps the incoming disaster but also leaves the pirate ships and Marineford surrounded by a new battlefield. Whitebeard watches with a grin, while the huge ice walls and cracking sounds show that an admiral has stopped the disaster with his own overwhelming power.

The tsunami stops, and the Marines realize Aokiji has frozen the whole bay. Someone shouts, "Partisan!!!" as Aokiji fires spears of ice toward Whitebeard, but Whitebeard cracks the attack apart with a quake-powered strike. Aokiji is knocked down into the bay, and one Marine gasps that he fell into the sea and asks whether anyone will go get him. The frozen water, however, is now solid ground. The sea around the Moby Dick and Marineford becomes a huge ice platform, replacing the water barrier with a route for both armies to charge across.
The frozen bay changes the entire battle. Pirates shout that their hearts were so hot they almost got overwhelmed, then rejoice, "A frozen sea is just what we needed!!" and charge: "Attaaaack!!!" Marines answer that the whole bay is frozen solid and the ships will not be able to maneuver at all. Orders ring out: "Open fire!!!" and "Destroy the Moby Dick!!!" The Whitebeard Pirates and allied captains rush from their ships onto the ice, while the Marines prepare cannons and guns. The ice gives both sides a road into direct combat.
The first major Marine line appears on the ice: the vice admirals. Pirates say the assault will not be easy, and Marines identify them as Vice Admirals, standing with their weapons ready at Marine HQ. The page shows several high-ranking officers braced for close combat while the frozen battlefield fills with attackers. The Whitebeard Pirates shout that even the captains are on the attack and not to let up. The Marine side presents its elite officers as the next wall between the pirates and Ace's execution platform.

The battle turns chaotic across the ice. Pirates leap and slash while one yells, "Cut 'em down and move into the bay~~!!!" Marines are shocked that so many vice admirals are gathered in one place and say even the Buster Call pales before this. Tsuru tells the younger Marines not to get impertinent and to fall back, while attackers order ships smashed against the ice. Mihawk steps forward and says this is merely conjecture, but he wants to measure the true distance between himself and that man. Doflamingo laughs that Mihawk is actually going to fight, and Mihawk prepares to test Whitebeard's reach.
Mihawk unleashes a gigantic sword slash toward Whitebeard. Pirates and Marines scream "Hawkeye!!!" as the cut tears across the frozen bay with terrifying force. The attack, called the world's greatest sword strike by those watching, is suddenly stopped before it reaches Whitebeard. The blocker is revealed as the third division commander, "Diamond" Jozu, whose body turns into diamond as he intercepts the slash. Whitebeard smiles at the challenge while the battlefield realizes that even a strike from the world's strongest swordsman can be met by Whitebeard's commanders.
Kizaru enters the exchange from above. Seeing Jozu block Mihawk's attack, Kizaru says, "Dear, dear... That's a little bright..." and uses "Yasakani no Magatama," showering Whitebeard's side with countless light bullets. Marines shout that it is Kizaru, and another voice says the admiral's attack was blocked when a figure covered in blue flames intercepts it. The blocker is Marco, first division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Marco tells Kizaru he cannot have the king taken right off the bat, while Kizaru answers that the Whitebeard Pirates sure are scary.
SBS question corner page. Oda opens with "All right. SBS, start!!" A reader asks what to do about a friend who has a crush on a girl already going out with someone else, and Oda jokes that he has no idea. Another reader asks whether Mr. 1, the former Baroque Works member, can turn his body hair into blades too, and Oda answers in his usual joking style that if the reader is so interested, they should never sleep again. A gag drawing labels a fake Four Emperor named Michera, and Oda riffs on Whitebeard, Red Hair, Kaido and "Micheru" before saying to forget the page. He closes by thanking readers for making the movie Strong World a huge hit and says One Piece will keep going strong.
