In the Corrida Colosseum, Hajrudin lies collapsed after Lucy's punch. The announcer can barely believe the scale of the upset: "...He's...!! He's not even moving an inch!!" and, "Without a doubt, this former candidate to win it all, Hajrudin...!!" The crowd understands what has happened at the same time: "He brought down the giant warrior in one hit!! Luffy's power is overwhelming!!" The verdict follows immediately: Hajrudin "has been eliminated!!!" But instead of ending the excitement, the knockout makes the arena louder. The announcer says, "There is just no stopping the excitement and anticipation at this point!!" while the crowd shouts, "You're amazing, Lucy!!" C-block has shifted from a giant's domination to the rise of the mysterious gladiator Lucy.

The announcer declares, "Lucy has done it again!!" placing him at the eye of the storm that has descended onto C-block. The wounded fighting bull presses close to him, and Luffy promises, "I'll carry you over to the edge, Ucy." Around them, the other fighters measure what they have just seen. Rebecca says, "I can't believe it..." and admits that Luffy would be this strong. Cavendish, still focused on Lucy as his prey, says, "We still can't even get a measure on this man!!" The crowd calls, "Lucy!!" while Luffy calmly carries the bull away from the center of the ring. A fighter snaps, "Oi, oi, giant... this is the ring... If you're gonna sleep, do it somewhere else!!" treating Hajrudin's fallen body as another obstacle in the battle.

Even with Hajrudin down, the announcer warns that C-block is still crawling with real monsters. A fighter steps forward and rejects the idea that Lucy's punch was mere chaos: "No, that was no explosion!! ...Even if Hajrudin is out." The strike looked like an explosion only because the punch came from strange-looking shoulders. The fighter is introduced as the V2 champion of the New World Central Fighting Club, the one who sent giant's body flying: Triple X Rank Boxer, Demolition Cannon Ideo. Ideo enters the ring's spotlight as another top contender, and the crowd struggles to understand how Hajrudin's enormous body could have been blown away. Ideo's motivation is simple and direct: "I want to be stronger," and therefore, "So I'll be eating that Mera Mera no Mi!!" He says, "I need more power!" while more fighters are highlighted across the ring. The announcer points out a gang of three from the far east nation of Kano, saying, "This gang of three!! And they've got a different flavor altogether!!" They have come from Kano and are drawing attention alongside the rest of C-block's strongest names. Their martial skill is introduced as renowned kenpo, and the narrator remarks that it is a rare day for the colosseum to see such famous kenpo users in action. The tournament prize keeps pulling serious combat traditions into the same chaotic arena.

The Kano fighters demonstrate why ordinary defenses mean nothing against them. Their finely manipulated Hasshoken makes shields and armor useless, and the page introduces Kanokuni gang member and thirteenth commander of the Happou Navy, Sai. Sai moves with a polearm and direct force, cutting through opponents while the crowd reacts in shock. The explanation is blunt: "There it is!!! He tells the younger fighters, "You'll have to try another time, greenhorns!!" The narration explains that the might of the Happou Navy boasts hundreds of years of storied history. Boo, the vice commander, is also introduced, and the two men prove that no one can stand up to them. Chinjao says that taking his head will be much more meaningful than winning any tournament, taunting the fighters who came for fame. The old warrior's presence is not decorative; he is still a force capable of throwing men aside and turning C-block into his own battlefield.

Some spectators recognize Don Chinjao and say, "Well duh... he was once a legendary pirate with a bounty of 500 mln!!" Another calls his display "Conqueror's Haki!!!" In the ring, Chinjao ignores the chaos around him because he has only one target: "There's only one man I want!! Don't get in my way...!!" A fighter tries to stop him and shouts, "Hold up, you bastard!!" but the battle opens space for Jean Ango, a bounty hunter called "Jean the Bandit." Jean Ango thanks Chinjao mockingly: "Dededede!! Thanks a lot, Chinjao! Now I've got all the weapons I want!!" As Chinjao cuts a path toward Luffy, Jean Ango begins turning the scattered weapons of fallen fighters into ammunition.

Jean Ango is identified as a bounty hunter who has earned the hatred of all the big-name pirates throughout the New World. The announcer calls him "Jean the Bandit" and says this tournament is the darkness of fishing for weapons in the ring. Jean Ango spots Luffy and declares, "Now that I've spotted you, you're finished!!" He explains, "These weapons I've picked up are my 'bullets'" and boasts, "I'm a sniper...!!" The attackers are revealed as assassins from the Mogaro Kingdom: the Funk Brothers. One man protests, "Enough already!!" while Kelly Funk answers from behind his brother, "Ah, I was holding him for you." The larger Bobby Funk is called huge, but Kelly rejects the insult "shrimp" with fury: "That bastard called me a shrimp!!" and "Hey, Bobby, you think I'm shrimpy!! Huh, do ya!?" Bobby calmly tells him, "Not at all, bro. You're real big." Kelly escalates anyway, yelling, "Try saying something now, you octopus!!" and then orders, "Come on now, bro!!" Bobby admits, "Ah!! I was holding him down for you!!" The brothers fight as a strange pair: Bobby's body does the work while Kelly's temper drives the violence.

Kelly Funk threatens the defeated man, "Next time I'll gouge out your damn eyes!!" while Bobby reminds him, "But this is a match, bro!!" Kelly snaps back, "And you came over to stop me, didn't you Bobby!!" The announcer calls them the excessively violent Funk Brothers, a pair of killers known throughout the underworld and said to be strong enough to take down pirates with bounties over 100 million. Nearby, Luffy watches the noisy combat and asks why so many street fighters and boxers without formal training are here. Jean Ango, still focused on Luffy, shouts, "I'm looking at you!!" The ring is narrowing into intersecting grudges: the Funks, Jean Ango, Chinjao, and Luffy are all being pulled toward one another.

Kelly charges into Boo, mocking him as "shrimp" and swinging hard, but the result reverses in an instant. Boo intercepts the strike with such toughness and power that Kelly is sent flying. The crowd and announcer are stunned: "Big bro!!" and "Ehhh!?" The announcer tries to frame what happened: "No... or maybe it's just that that Happou Navy's Boo is too strong...!!" but the emotional reaction is disappointment, because the hyped fighter collapses so easily. Gatz says, "What a failure to live up to expectations!! Where's the impressive fighter we were promised!? What a fool!" Kelly's violence and reputation are suddenly meaningless against Boo's body and Hasshoken training.

The crowd says the Funk Brothers have shown their backs and calls them the worst. Kelly protests, "I've never even fought once!!" while Boo mocks him: "You too, little brother!!" The colosseum cannot understand what happens next. The crowd cries, "What in the world is happening here!!?" as Boo is suddenly beaten to a pulp. Gatz reports, "Kanokuni's Boo has been beaten to a pulp!!! He's already lost consciousness!!" The explanation is stranger than the result: "The one punching is...? The feeble younger brother, Bobby!? No! The weakling older brother, Kelly!?" Kelly has become a completely different person after Bobby lets him "wear" him, and he stands over Boo roaring, "Rara rarara rarah!!" The old brother who seemed too weak to fight now has Bobby's powerful body and threatens, "And I'll rip out that throat of yours!! Now what's the shrimp? Just try sayin' that again...!!"

As the ring reels from the Funk Brothers' transformation, Jean Ango spots a new prize. He says, "And what do we have here? It seems that Lucy's helmet has been stolen away by Jean the Bandit!!" Someone shouts, "Oi, give that back!!" while Jean Ango says he heard a strange rumor: the pirate Straw Hat Luffy, with a bounty of 400 million, has inserted himself into the tournament. Luffy pulls the stolen helmet back into place and answers only with tense silence. At the same time, Don Chinjao charges toward him with a clear purpose, saying that if Garp could see this, he would understand what Chinjao is about to do to his grandson. The disguise is cracking, and Chinjao is targeting Luffy directly.

The announcer says there are about forty fighters remaining in C-block, and only the biggest names are emerging from the mix.
