The Disposition of a King

Boa Sandersonia, labeled "Second Daughter, Sandersonia Snake Snake Fruit, Anaconda Model," coils with a sly expression as sound effects "ゴゴゴゴ" rumble. Beside her, Boa Marigold, labeled "Youngest Daughter, Marigold Snake Snake Fruit, King Cobra Model," laughs with tongue out amid "ゴゴゴゴ" effects. Below, Monkey D. Luffy stands with a confused look, asking "WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT...I" and "CURSEDI" He thinks, "NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT, THEY JUST ATE SOME DEVIL FRUITS." A crowd of Kuja women reacts excitedly: "IT'S PROOF THAT THEY'RE STRONG WARRIORS!! THIS IS WHAT THEY RECEIVED FOR DEFEATING THE GORGON MONSTER! KYAAAA-♡ THEY LOOK SO MAGNIFICENT!! EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE CURSED, THE YOUNGER SISTERS ARE STILL WONDERFUL.♡"

The massive snake forms of Sandersonia and Marigold loom over Luffy with repeated cries of "DEATH!" and "DEATH!" as Sandersonia swings a massive axe. Marigold laughs "UFUFUFU" while Luffy stands small before them. Sandersonia asks "UFUFUFU... SHALL I SWALLOW HIM WHOLEI" with "PERO..." licking her lips, then suggests "OR PERHAPS I SHOULD STRANGLE HIMI" Boa Hancock appears in a close-up, declaring "THAT'S THE PUNISHMENT FOR TRESPASSING ON THE ISLAND OF WOMEN!! AND ALSO FOR INSULTING US!! DO IT!! SANDERSONIA!! MARIGOLD!! SHOW HIM HOW WE CARRY OUT OUR DEATH PENALTY!!!"

Hancock's snake hair looms as voices call "THEY'RE NOT CRACKED...!!" and "ALL RIGHT!" with impact sound "ゴゴゴゴ...!!". Luffy stands on a ledge facing the giant sisters while Hancock, in a wide hat and cape, tells the Kuja warriors "YOU GUYS JUST WAIT HERE! I'M SORRY YOU GOT TURNED INTO STONE BECAUSE OF ME!!" and "YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GO BACK TO NORMAL!!" Luffy shouts "RATHER THAN WORRYING ABOUT OTHERS, SHOULDN'T I BE THINKING ABOUT YOURSELFI SHUT UP, THAT'S FOR ME TO DECIDE!!" and later "I JUST NEED TO KICK YOUR ASSES!!" with "PAKI PAKI!" effects. He adds "JUST LIKE WHEN ROBIN AND I WERE FROZEN BY AOKIJI, THOUGH IF CHOPPER WERE HERE, I'M SURE HE COULD DO IT." A Kuja woman worries "...THAT MAN... DOES HE INTEND TO SAVE MARGARET AND THE OTHERS...!I IT CAN'T BE... HE'S ALREADY BEEN CONDEMNED TO DIE...!" Luffy mutters "ANYWAY..."

A massive circular arena fills the page as Luffy stands alone on the central stage beneath a giant coliseum gate. The crowd erupts in laughter. "NO WAY!! AHAHA-HAHA!" "PUFU!!" A huge snake-woman with wild hair and a spiked staff looms over the scene. In the next tier of panels she towers above Luffy, who looks up at her. "HE'S MAKING US LAUGH EVEN THOUGH HE'S GOING TO DIE!" "HE REALLY THINKS HE CAN BEAT THEM!!" "WHAT DID HE JUST SAY!I" "HOW FUNNY! MEN ARE REALLY FUNNY!!" The snake-woman grins and asks, "YES... THAT'S RIGHT, LUFFY... AM I RIGHTI" Below, Luffy stares at the deadly spikes lining the gap between stage and bleachers. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU FALL OR NOT... BUT IF YOU DO, YOU'LL BE IMPALED BY THE SPIKES BELOW," she warns. She leans in close with a wicked smile, tongue flicking out. "YOU SHOULD TRY NOT TO FALL INTO THE GAP BETWEEN THE STAGE AND THE BLEACHERS. IF YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN UP ON YOUR LIFE YET, THEN LET ME TELL YOU."

From a high angle the entire arena is shown as the fight begins. The crowd roars "DEATH! DEATH!" while a massive voice declares "NOW... BEGIN...!!!" Luffy is immediately struck by the snake-woman's enormous staff. He tumbles through the air with a loud "WAH!!" as she swings again and again. "TAKE THAT AND THAT AND THAT!!!" The impact sends him flying across the stage amid swirling motion lines and debris.

Luffy is hurled through the air as the Kuja crowd cheers "GET HIM!! LADY MARIGOLD!!!" He twists mid-fall, narrowly avoiding the spikes. "WHA!I" he shouts in shock. The snake-woman spits a jet of venom. "PYU!!" Luffy's eyes widen in alarm. "POISON!II" he cries. "THAT'S NOT GOOD!!!" The venom splashes across the stage in a huge toxic cloud labeled "JUUKUVUUU!!" while Luffy desperately leaps away.

Luffy stretches his arm back. "GOMU GOMU..." The snake-woman laughs, "TOO BAD FOR YOU!!! IT'S LETHAL!!" He launches forward with a flying kick. "STAMP" The blow connects but she only smirks. "HMPH!!" Luffy rebounds violently off her body. "GEFU!!!" he yelps as the impact sends him flying backward. "UWOH!! IT BOUNCED OFF!!" "GU..." he groans while the snake-woman watches with amusement.

A massive impact slams Luffy into the ground with a thunderous ジャアン!!!! effect, sending debris flying as he reacts with!!I. Kuja warriors watch in shock and excitement. One exclaims, "BUT IT'S TRUE THAT MEN CAN STRETCH!! HOW INTERESTING!" Another points and shouts, "LOOK! I KNEW HE WAS JUST BLUFFING!!" The snake-bodied warrior recoils, crying "O...OW...!!! WHY DID THAT HURT!I" Luffy yells back, "I'M MADE OF RUBBER!!" In the next clash, Luffy is struck again with バァーン!! and cries "WAH!!" The snake woman coughs and questions, "WHY!I AM I NOT MADE OF RUBBER ANYMORE!I" She adds, "AS IF THAT COULD HAPPEN!" and "BUT THEN WHY DOES IT HURT WHEN I GET HIT!I"

Luffy is hurled through the air with ギュギュギュ!! and UGYA-GYAGYA-GYA!!! as the snake woman coils around him. Boa Hancock rests her chin on her hands and remarks, "YOU'RE SO MEAN, MARI... PLAYING WITH HIM ALL BY YOURSELF...!!!" Luffy shouts "DAMN IT!!!" while the snake woman says "UFUFU... SO YOU... HAVE A DEVIL FRUIT POWER, TOO..." Luffy protests, "SERIOUSLY, WHY AM I GETTING HURT!I I'M MADE OF RUBBER!!" Hancock smiles and notes, "A KICK FROM YOUR RIGHT LEG... BUT YOU CAN'T USE HAKI. MOST OUTSIDERS ARE LIKE THAT... AND THAT'S WHY THEY'RE WEAK."

Luffy realizes, "SHE READ MY MOVES...!!!" as the snake woman lands a heavy blow with ズドォン!! and the note "*A PUN. 'SNAKE' IS 'HEBI' IN JAPANESE, WHICH SOUNDS LIKE 'HEAVY,' I.E. HEAVY SLAM." She declares, "SNAKE SLAM*!!!" Luffy is smashed with FUGEH!! The snake woman continues her assault. Luffy surfaces from water shouting "GOMU GOMU..." and thinks, "THIS ISN'T GONNA WORK LIKE USUAL."

Hancock watches with hearts as the snake woman performs "Snake Dance"!! with ズルルル and declares "GATLING"!!! while striking repeatedly with SUKA SUKA SUKA SUKA SUKA!!! Luffy panics, "WHAT'S GOING ON!I ALL OF MY MOVES ARE BEING READ!!" Kuja warriors cheer, "WHAT AMAZING MOVES.♡ THERE'S NO ATTACK LADY SONIA CAN'T DODGE WITH THE POWER OF HAKI!!" The snake woman follows with "SNAKE STICK*"!!! and DOFU!!! as Luffy is slammed again. She warns, "DON'T FORGET, THERE ARE TWO OF US!"

A massive explosion rocks the arena as Luffy is blasted backward. "ドカーン!!" Impact lines and smoke fill the air while Luffy tumbles, shouting "OWW...!!!". The view widens to the towering stone arena of Amazon Lily where a colossal snake coils around the structure. "GARA GARA.." debris falls as the crowd reacts with "WAH!!". In close-up, Luffy stares in shock at the enormous snake-woman looming over him. "..." A voice calls from the snake. Luffy gasps "HAA... HAA..." as the snake lunges. "AH!" He narrowly dodges the strike. "THAT WAS CLOSE!!!" The snake-woman's tail smashes into the stands.

Boa Hancock sits elegantly among cheering Kuja warriors. "THERE'S NOTHING ABOUT HER THAT ISN'T WONDERFUL!!" "KYAA.♡ LADY HEBIHIME TUCKED HER HAIR BEHIND HER EAR~♡" "How amusing..." "Looks like this man is all talk." Hancock smiles faintly. Below, the massive snake sisters attack Luffy. "HAAA... NO MORE. LADY HEBIHIME!!!" "SHUT UP, YOU MORON." The anaconda-hybrid Sandersonia coils around him while Marigold watches. The crowd screams "LADY HEBIHIME!! SHE'S LOOKING DOWN TOO MUCH AGAIN!!!" "CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF THAT MAN AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE SO I NEVER HAVE TO HEAR HIS DIRTY MOUTH AGAIN!!!" "SONIA!! MARI!!!" "UNFORGIVABLE!! HURRY UP AND PUT THAT MAN TO DEATH!!!" "HOW DARE YOU INSULT LADY HEBIHIME AGAIN!!!"

Marigold and Sandersonia loom over Luffy. "LET'S GIVE HIM BOTH DESPAIR AND DEATH..." "WELL, THE GAMES STOP HERE..." Luffy stands below, hat on his head. "WHAT'LL HAPPEN IF SHE BREAKS!I I OWE MY LIFE TO HER!!!" He lunges forward. "HEY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOINGI!I DON'T TOUCH HER!!!" The snake sisters slam him down. "!!" Luffy roars up close, eyes wide. "THIS FIGHT IS BETWEEN YOU TWO AND ME, ISN'T ITI!I DON'T SCREW AROUND!!" Sandersonia replies coldly, "IF SHE BREAKSI WELL, I'LL FEEL SORRY FOR HER... BUT THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT, AFTER ALL..."

Sandersonia tightens her coils around Luffy. "BE QUIET AND WATCH...!! THIS IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE WOUNDS ON MY SISTER'S HEART!!" "THIS IS A PUBLIC EXECUTION." "SHURURURU!!" "YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS IS A FIGHT...!!" Luffy struggles. "THERE'S NO WAY THEY WILL!! ARE YOU AN IDIOTI!I" Sandersonia laughs, "UFUFU, EVERYBODY IN THE COUNTRY DOES, SO I THINK THEY'LL BE SATISFIED!!" "SHE LOOKED UP TO YOU!!" A Kuja woman adds, "LADY HEBIHIME IS A WOMAN THAT EVERYONE ADMIRES. SHE'S STRONG AND ELEGANT, AND HER BEAUTY IS UNPARALLELED." Luffy grits his teeth. "....!!" Margaret and other warriors react in shock as the snake sisters continue their assault. "1...!!" "HYU!" "MARGARET!!" "OH MY, WHAT VULGAR WORDS... 3... 2..."

Luffy's face fills the frame in a massive close-up, eyes bulging and teeth bared as he roars with overwhelming force, "I TOLD YOU TO STOP!!!!!" Impact lines and bold SFX explode around him. Below, the Kuja warriors react in panic. A blonde woman stares in shock while a dark-haired woman with a snake tail recoils. Two massive snake-women with scaly faces gape in horror, their eyes wide and mouths open as they exclaim "!!I" amid swirling effects and the sounds "DORA... BATA... GAKUN..."

Boa Hancock stands with a serious expression, sweat on her face, thinking "...!!I COULD IT BE...!!I" In the arena, a giant snake-woman coils and strikes while warriors faint in the stands amid "BATA", "DORA", and "KYAAA!!" Luffy stands calmly on the ground as the snake-woman collapses, muttering "YOU AREN'T SO UNREASONABLE AFTER ALL! NAHAHAHA..." and "HEY, YOU GUYS LISTENED TO WHAT I SAID". The snake-woman lies defeated with "コトッ...!". Hancock and the warriors stare in disbelief, one crying "THE ODDS OF HAVING IT ARE LESS THAN ONE IN A MILLION... IT'S THE HAKI OF THE CHOSEN ONES!!!" while another gasps "THAT CAN'T BE!!" and "... THAT WAS... HAOU-TYPE* HAKI...!!!" A footnote notes "*HAOU" could mean "kingly" or "royal".

Hancock continues, "... THIS MAN... HE HAS THE 'QUALITIES OF A KING,' THE DISPOSITION TO STAND ABOVE OTHERS...!!!!" and "MY SISTER IS THE ONLY PERSON I'VE EVER SEEN WHO COULD USE THAT...!!!" The warriors discuss among themselves: "BUT I REALIZE THAT YOU TWO ARE STRONG." "SHEESH, THESE PEOPLE JUST WON'T SHUT UP... WHAT'S WITH THEMI" "BUT HE CAN'T REALLY CONTROL IT..." "HE HAS THE SAME... HAOU-TYPE AS ME...!!!I HOW COULD THAT BEI!" One warrior shouts "JUST WHO IS THIS MAN...!!I" while Hancock narrows her eyes and declares "THIS MAN... HE'S NOT JUST SOME BRAT...!!!" Below, Luffy crouches with a fierce grin, declaring "I'LL GO AT FULL POWER!!!... FROM HERE ON," as the crowd reacts with shock.
