Carrot's Su Long assault continues across Daifuku's fleet. Daifuku, enraged, cries, "Curse you, you little rabbit!" and summons his genie with "Here I go!" The genie appears in smoke and asks, "What is your wish, my master?" Daifuku commands, "Here's something for ya!" and the genie swings with "Take this!" Carrot moves through the attack, smashing through ships and sailors as men scream, "GYA AAH!" and "Why you troublesome little rabbit!" One of the enemies realizes the pattern: "That little... She's taken our helms again!" Another pleads, "Please, stop this, Lord Daifuku!" as the attack tears up their own formation. Carrot smiles from the moonlit chaos while another ship is crippled, leaving Daifuku's force shouting, "Curse yooooouuh!"

The Straw Hats watch Carrot leap ship to ship and begin to understand what they are seeing. Nami says, "Jumping from ship to ship... She really is amazing." Chopper is stunned: "I never knew Carrot could do something like that! She's like my little sister, you know!" Jinbe explains that the moon and clouds favor the minks: "If the phases of the moon and the clouds in the sky are on their side, they're pretty strong." A note clarifies, "T/N: Kanji reads Moon Lion." Jinbe continues, "When those of the Mink Tribe stare directly into an unclouded full moon, it is said that deeply buried memories of a feral past are awakened... And people call that white, violent form of theirs the Sulong!" Chopper repeats, "Sulong?" Jinbe adds the danger: "Usually, when a mink transforms, it's no help for anyone. They lose their minds, and simply mindlessly destroy everything, both themselves and others. A mink unable to control that tires themselves out so much fighting throughout the night that they die." Chopper gasps, "Wha-?!" and asks what he means.

Brook understands both the usefulness and the danger of Carrot's plan. He calls it "A double-edged sword. A technique that shaves away at one's very own life..." Yet he praises her target: "Miss Carrot, stealing the rudders of the enemy is truly a wonderful idea." Then, with sword drawn, he declares, "Allow me to assist you, before we are forced to fight these enemies head-to-head!" Chopper panics, "Help?! Brook! You'll fall into the water!" But Brook lands lightly on the sea's surface, laughing, "Yo hoho ho!" Someone remembers, "Oh, right! He's so light he can run on the water!" With enemies still behind them, Nami chooses the route: "Let's let those two secure our path ahead!" The Sunny presses forward as Chopper shouts, "Wait just a minute, you!" and Jinbe confirms, "Right!"

Behind them, Big Mom rides on the living wave and wheezes, "Wheeze," her body clearly changed by hours of hunger. A homie calls, "Zeus... Brother Peros! Something's wrong with Mama!" Big Mom mutters for her missing homies: "Prometheus..." and "Zeus..." Perospero, sweating but composed, answers with his usual "Perorin" and says, "Yeah, I know!" He explains the scale of the problem: "She's thinning out and her breath is ragged... It's been about 8 hours since Mama's eating fit started! We've never been this unable to stop one of her tantrums... and I've never seen Mama be hungry. From here on out, we'll be facing a Mama unknown even to us!" Still, he insists on the immediate order: "Let's just focus on getting Zeus and Prometheus over here! Mama's asked us!"

Perospero suddenly reveals the possible solution. "By the way, Brother Peros! The cake is on its way here! Pudding's bringing it!" someone says, and Perospero calls it "a true godsend." Another asks, "Should we just wait until we get to Cacao Island?!" Perospero thinks through the situation aloud: "Why in the world would one of the assassins be in possession of that cake?! That thing'll help save this kingdom!" He hesitates over Bege: "Pero-rin?! I don't know..." Bavarois worries, "But the ship the cake is on belongs to Bege!" Another adds, "But that's just the thing, brother! Pudding really is the one bringing it!" The choice is forced by the fleet around them and Big Mom behind them. One voice cries, "What do we do?! Now there's no way," while Perospero decides, "We can trust that cake!"

Inside the territory, aboard Bege's ship at 9 PM, the Nostra Castello is thrown about by the waves and someone yells, "You gotta be kidding!" From the kitchen, Sanji is exhausted but defiant, panting, "There's no way... Haa... Haa... I'll let you do somethin' like that!" Bege demands, "Big Mom's gonna eat this cake for sure, right? What kind of idiot wouldn't put poison or explosives in it?!" Sanji refuses the idea completely: "Shut it! My pride as a cook is riding on this match!" Bege shouts back, "We'll be able to take out one of the Yonkou! Do you have any idea what sort of chance this is?!" Sanji answers with the cook's logic, not an assassin's: "Quit your stupid plots! We'll beat our enemy with taste alone!" Bege cannot believe it: "Huh?! This ain't the time for dreamin', boy!"

Sanji and Bege clash face to face over what the cake is supposed to do. Bege argues, "Big Mom's eaten basically every sweet and snack under the sun! And you think you can make a cake beyond her imaginations?" Sanji answers, "Yeah! Because I have to! Or we're dead!" Bege warns, "But even if you manage to succeed, she won't just let us live!" Sanji replies, "That's just what I want to do!" He shoves food into Bege's mouth while saying, "I guess you just don't know the kind of person Big Mom once was! There's been many times that she regretted not doing away with someone when she had the cha-" Bege bites into the cream and melts instantly. Someone cries, "Father! Father! The hell did you do to father, you bastard?!" Bege, overwhelmed, says, "It's so delicious I could die! This cream..." and someone comments, "The deliciousness almost killed him!" Bege turns to Sanji and demands, "Black Leg! What the hell did you make father eat?!" The answer from the side is simple: "Ask him."

Sanji makes his position clear. He tells Bege, "Look, Bege, you can assassinate her if you want. But that's only after I've filled her belly!" When challenged, he says, "I feed those who want to be fed! That's a cook's job!" Pudding, still shaken by Sanji, suddenly drops down with a cry of "Lady Pudding?!" Someone asks, "What happened to you?!" Chiffon snaps everyone back to work: "We've gotta hurry! Is the nappe finished?! Just a bit more! Lady Chiffon! We've lost two cooks to the sweet aroma! Tell them to keep it together!" Bege, still under the effect of the taste, says, "Damn and blast! It feels like I've been hypnotized! But what is this joyous feeling spreading through my mouth?!" In the middle of the pressure, Sanji thinks of the person he is trying to reach: "Nami! I'm coming for you! I hope you're safe."

Inside the territory near Zeus and Prometheus, the homies rush to answer Big Mom's call. They shout, "Hurry, hurry!!" and ask, "Which way?" Prometheus senses the direction: "Straight ahead! I can feel Napoleon's thoughts waves!" Zeus worries because the Sunny's escape has already scattered them: "I don't know which way we're going because you went back to eat a wildfire!" Prometheus snaps, "And who was it that damaged me enough to have to do that, Zeus?! You let one of the enemies use you!" Zeus apologizes, "I'm sorry..." Prometheus warns, "We're special; we're one of the only homies born directly from Mama's soul. Next time you try to betray Mama over some food, I won't forgive you!" Meanwhile, inside the Sunny, the crew discovers the opening Carrot created: "Our rudders don't work! We're being swept away by the waves!" and then, "A path's being made!"

Carrot and Brook keep clearing the way through Daifuku's fleet. Carrot's white hair whips across the page as she dives into soldiers and equipment, while Brook cuts across the water and attacks from another angle. Daifuku's men are thrown into confusion as Carrot's speed and Brook's light-footed movement strike from places they cannot defend. But the power is costing Carrot. Breathing hard, "HAA-" and "HAA-," she realizes, "I'm losing consciousness! I've gotta stop soon. How many ships are left?" The page turns her triumph into a countdown: every ship disabled helps the Sunny escape, but every second in Su Long eats away at her stamina and risks the fatal loss of control Jinbe warned about.

Daifuku tries to counterattack with his genie, shouting, "Genie" and then "Shredding!" The genie tears across the water, and one of the Sunny's crew realizes, "That guy's a huge help." Even so, Carrot and Brook continue to disrupt the fleet. When Carrot returns, breathing "Haa- Haa-," someone says, "Thanks!" and Brook answers, "No, thank you." Carrot apologizes, "Miss Carrot! I know I'm not much," but adds, "But I managed to put that ship over there to sleep!" Brook says, "That's enough! Let's go back." She explains how to end the form: "If I hide my eyes from the moonlight... Haa... Haa... I'll be able to switch back." Brook asks, "How are you going to return to normal?" and then reflects on the scene: "The light of the full moon uplifts us. It truly was beautiful to behold. Yohoho!"

The enemy fleet reels from the damage. A report says, "Brother Peros! Brother Daifuku is done for! His battleships are being pushed aside by the waves!" Perospero can only curse, "How useless! That bloody Daifuku!" From the Sunny, the crew can breathe for a moment. Nami says, "Thank you, Carrot. We made it out of that big pinch!" Brook adds, "They almost sunk us." Carrot jokes weakly, "Ehehe... Can I go into a room that doesn't have a view of the moon?" Back with Big Mom, the situation grows worse. Someone cries, "Mama! Oi, are you okay?" while Big Mom demands, "Zeus! Prometheus! Are you here yet?!" Zeus answers, "Yes, we just got here," and Prometheus says, "Okay, Mama!" Big Mom gives Napoleon the next order: "Napoleon. Switch into your sword form."

Big Mom returns in a terrifying new state, seated on Zeus with Prometheus blazing above her like a mane of fire and Napoleon ready for battle. The Big Mom Pirates recognize the danger before the Straw Hats fully do. One cries, "Big Mom's coming!" Another sees her speed and asks, "What's with that agility!" Someone tries to understand the change: "Mama, is that you?! She looks like a completely different person..." Big Mom, thinner and more feral after hours without food, pants "Haa Haa" and fixes on the Sunny with only one thought: "Wedding cake...." Chopper and the others react with alarm as she closes in. What Perospero called an unknown Mama is now visible: faster, leaner, starving, and still overwhelmingly powerful.

Big Mom crashes into immediate range of the Sunny. Nami and Chopper stare in horror and Nami says, "No way..." Big Mom demands the only thing in her mind: "Gimme it!" Then she asks, "Where is the cake?!" As the massive figure bears down on the ship, someone orders, "Get back, everyone." Another warns, "We may have to ditch this ship if it comes to that!" The page marks the worst possible distance: "Zero distance!" Nami stands on the deck while Big Mom looms over the rail, flame and force filling the panel. The chapter ends on the impact of her arrival, with the Straw Hats trapped between a ship they may have to abandon and a starving emperor who has reached them at last.
