A massive striped serpent rears up with jaws wide open, its body twisting through the air above ancient ruins as large Japanese sound effects "ゴォォォォォォォォ...オ..." rumble across the sky. Below, a man in a tank top grips a long weapon and stands his ground. In smaller panels, a winged warrior aims a massive bazooka while shouting "NO NEED TO HOLD BACK THIS TIME! GO, HOLY!" A small dog-like creature barks "WOOF!" The serpent hisses "TSU LALA..." as the man with goggles glares and says, "THAT STUPID SNAKE FOLLOWED ME ALL THE WAY HERE." Impact lines and motion effects fill the chaotic scene.

The winged warrior loads his weapon with a loud "CLICK!" while muttering "...". The giant serpent lunges as sound effects "PSHH...!!" and "KAN KAN" ring out. A voice yells, "PIERRE, THE TARGET IS CHIM!" In another panel a battered man with an open mouth shouts in panic, "THIS STUPID CAVE SURE IS WEIRD!!! IF IT DIDN'T COLLAPSE, WHY IS IT ALL UPSIDE DOWN...!!I" Below, the goggled man is hurled through the air amid rocks. The serpent's head fills a dramatic panel as it roars, "I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!" while a voice warns, "ALL OF YOU..."

The giant striped serpent thrashes violently with massive sound effects "ズォォォォ...!!!" and repeated cries of "TSU LALA LALA!!!" and "TSU LALA LA!". The winged warrior is slammed backward by the force of his own weapon's recoil, tumbling through clouds and debris. Close-ups show the serpent's fanged head lunging and the goggled man's intense glare. In the final panels the warrior steadies his massive bazooka again as a small flying creature darts nearby. A voice exclaims, "THAT'S A NICE WEAPON!" amid heavy impact lines and smoke.

The spiky-haired fighter snarls at the blue-sea intruder. "WHAT HAPPENED HERE IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS!!" he roars while another voice cuts in, "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS..." The winged attacker presses forward: "YOU'VE ONLY BEEN HERE A FEW DAYS... YOU KNOW NOTHING, YOU BLUE SEA PUNK!!! DON'T THINK I'M GONNA LET YOU TAKE THIS LAND!!!" The swordsman retorts, "BUT I WAS PLANNING ON ELIMINATING YOU FROM THE BEGINNING! SO LET'S FINISH THIS NOW!" A massive spinning blade attack erupts with "SHOCK!!" and the cry "DIE!!!" The impact explodes across the ruins. The goggled man grins amid the debris, "THIS IS PRETTY GOOD!!! TSU LALALA!!!"

The swordsman leaps clear with a relieved "PHEW!!" as the massive white dog lunges through clouds and rubble, its jaws snapping. "TSUH" rings out with the impact. The goggled man, now facing the beast, mutters, "I ALMOST FORGOT THIS THING HAS POISONOUS FANGS!!" The dog growls fiercely, "GRRRR!!!!" More fangs flash as the creature attacks again, "MORE FANGS!!I WAHN!!!" The goggled man dodges desperately amid flying debris and motion lines.

The goggled man reels in shock: "WHAT THE...!I WHOA!!! DID THAT DOG JUST THROW A PUNCH AT ME!I" The enormous white dog named Holy towers over the battlefield, a tiny figure perched on its head. Its owner declares proudly, "I'VE RAISED HIM LIKE NO OTHER ANIMAL! AFTER I TAUGHT HIM HOW TO STAND ON HIS BACK FEET... I GAVE HIM MARTIAL ARTS LESSONS...! TRY TO DODGE HIS ATTACKS!!!" He continues, "AND I'M THE 'BREEDER OF THE SKY'!! HIS NAME IS HOLY..." The swordsman stands ready with dual blades, replying, "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME."

Gan Fall's lance clashes violently with Shura's in a burst of sparks and impact lines. Shura taunts, "EVEN SO, I SHAN'T LEAVE UNTIL I DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE IN BEING HERE!! YOU CAN BARELY HOLD YOUR LANCE RIGHT, OLD MAN... GAN FALL... DID YOU LEARN NOTHING FROM YOUR DEFEAT AGAINST SHURA...!I" Gan Fall glares back, "YOU STILL WON'T UNDERSTAND GOD ENEL'S DIVINE INTENTIONS!!!" Shura sneers, "HUH!! EVEN IF I TELL YOU..."

A massive spiral of debris and cloud rises high above the forested landscape as a distant structure collapses. SLAC SLAC SLAC sound effects mark falling rubble across the wide view of the ruined city. Closer shots reveal ancient stone buildings and a towering central ruin marked with more SLAC impacts. Inside the crumbling corridors, walls shake violently with repeated HI HI HI HI HI sound effects. A round speech bubble reads ZOU as the structure groans and debris falls.

PWOP and SHLAC sound effects accompany a hand driving a weapon into the ground. Nico Robin reacts with wide eyes and a sweat drop, an exclamation mark above her head. She wipes her brow with a WHEW... and a ポーン effect as she stands. She drops into a narrow crevice with a ZWUUSH sound. From below, her hand reaches up as she calls out, "THERE'S A ROOM BELOW!"

Nico Robin stares ahead with a serious expression as ドサッ... and POH sounds mark falling debris. In the distance a lone figure stands amid the ruins with a TAH effect. She surveys the ancient stone city and thinks, "WHAT A BIG PLACE... THERE IS STILL MORE TO THESE RUINS. AS I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY THE TOP PART OF THE CITY, WHICH MEANS THERE ARE OTHER, LOWER LEVELS. THE RUINS AT THE SURFACE ARE ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG! THESE RUINS COME FROM THE BLUE SEA, YET THE GROUND IS MADE OF CLOUDS... I KNEW THAT WAS ODD..."

Chopper sweats and reacts with shock, "CHOPPER...!I" and "....!!!" as a bald man with goggles appears. The man coughs "グゴォン..." and mutters "HAA... HAA!! PHEW! THAT SNAKE IS REALLY IRRITATING!!!" while gripping a weapon. Chopper shouts "CHOPPER!!!" and dashes forward with a DASH effect. The bald man yells "HEY! SO, YOU ARE ANOTHER CITIZEN OF THE BLUE SEA! HEY, YOU SHOULD WATCH OUT AROUND THERE." A fierce clash erupts with KATCHA, ガッ!! and ヒュルルルル!! sounds as the bald man is struck and cries "WAA AAAH!!!!"

In ancient stone ruins, a goggle-wearing man with spiky hair stares in shock at barbed wire piercing his body. "WHAT THE HELL!I" he yells. "BARBED WIRE!I" Nearby, a bearded man with a scar grimaces. "!" "IS THAT PART OF THE TRIAL!I" A figure is flung through the air amid debris. "HUH..." "WHAT WAS THAT...I" The goggle man explains while examining the trap: "IT IS LIGHT AS A CLOUD, BUT HARD AND STRONG AS IRON. IT'S MADE FROM MILKY DIALS." A massive white creature stands nearby as the explanation continues: "THAT IS IRON CLOUD." "THESE IRON CLOUDS ARE HIDDEN IN THE GROUND, AND SHOOT FORTH WHEN STEPPED ON." At the bottom of the page, a stern man with sunglasses and a goatee glares forward. "THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT ANIMAL... EVEN THOUGH I DID WOUND HIM A BIT..." "THIS PLACE IS FULL OF THOSE TRAPS, AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY MIGHT BE..."

Close-up on the goggle-wearing man, bloodied and furious. "PITIFUL!" A small reindeer-like figure lies injured. "...!!!" The goggle man shouts desperately: "SPEAK TO ME! WHY ARE YOU HERE BY YOUR-SELF!I" "CHOPPER! HEY!! CHOPPER!!!" He cradles the small figure. "BUT IT'S THE TRAPS WHICH DID THE REST!" The sunglasses man watches with a conflicted expression. "REALLY...I HOW NOBLE!" "BUT..." The goggle man, now standing, replies firmly: "NO... I'M NOT FIGHTING FOR REASONS LIKE THAT..." The large white creature looms as a voice asks: "ARE YOU READY TO AVENGE YOUR FRIEND, NOWI" The goggle man clenches his fist, eyes blazing behind his goggles. "RIGHT NOW..." "I'M JUST A LITTLE PISSED OFF!!" Dramatic sound effects punctuate his rage.

Vines and crumbling stone structures fill the ruins. A dark-haired woman in a wide hat stands with a serious expression. A large horned creature lies injured on the ground. A woman in a cowboy hat and revealing top examines a weapon while seated on a branch. Sound effects echo through the area. The dark-haired woman walks cautiously through the overgrown ruins. The cowboy-hatted woman leaps between branches. A close-up shows the dark-haired woman's surprised face. "AH!" "!!" A foot steps on a hidden mechanism. "HAA..." "HAA..." "HAA..." From below, a voice calls out: "LIGHT...!I" The cowboy-hatted woman looks down into a dark shaft.

A massive spiraling beanstalk towers into the clouds above a sprawling ancient city. "IT'S THE GIANT BEAN-STALK!!" In the sky, winged figures scatter as arrows fly. Below, a robed man with a long nose rides a large creature, shouting frantically: "MEEEH ~!!!" "GET THE SHANDIANS!!! MEHHH ~!!!" "YOU MAY NOT GO TO GOD'S SHRINE!!" A woman with goggles and a large weapon yells back: "HOLD ON! WHERE EXACTLY ARE WE GOING!I" Another figure warns: "NO, THEY ARE HOLY GUARDS!! IF WE ARE CAPTURED, WE ARE DEAD!!" Two women react in alarm to distant bleating. "WHAT'S THAT NOISE!I GOATSI"

A massive serpentine beast rears up with jaws agape, unleashing a thunderous roar as "ゴォォナ" shakes the ruins. In the foreground a straw-hatted figure stands with back turned, one arm extended, while a small reindeer-like creature stares upward in shock. Scattered winged beasts wheel through the cloudy sky above crumbling stone towers. Below, three narrow panels show a lone silhouette standing inside a vast triangular gateway amid the ancient city. The view shifts to a close-up of a young woman wearing a wide straw hat and dark hair, gazing at the ruins with quiet awe. She speaks: "DISAPPEARED FOR 800 YEARS, THE GREAT CITY SHANDORA..." "AFTER ALL, THIS TIME, IT'S INCREDIBLE IT'S STILL INTACT, SO MAGNIFICENT..." Another voice adds, "AND SO IMPOSING..."

A colossal, multi-tiered pyramid of stone and roots towers into the sky, its staircases and terraces choked with vines and trees. Massive impact lettering "どどど" and "どん" erupts across the top of the page. A speech bubble declares, "SO THIS IS...!!!" In the lower left a large caption reads, "THE GOLDEN CITY, SHANDORA." The ruined metropolis stretches in every direction, its golden walls and broken arches glowing under the clouds.
