Marineford erupts when the news spreads that "Fire Fist Ace has been freed!!!" Ace unleashes "Hibashira!!" or "Fire Pillar," sending flames through the plaza as Marines scream. Luffy shouts, "Right!!!" and Ace warns him, "Don't get careless, Luffy!!" Whitebeard quietly calls, "Ace!!" while Jimbei says, "They're strong. Be careful!!!" Thanks, Luffy." Luffy grins and answers that it is all because the old Whitebeard guy and his crew helped him out. Ace asks, "Can you fight, Luffy!?" and Luffy, still exhausted, answers, "Of course!!! Haa... Haa..." The two brothers stand together in the flames, ready to break out.

Ace and Luffy rush forward together while Marines warn, "Don't think you're safe now!!!" and "You'll both die right here!!!" Luffy answers with a Gum-Gum attack, and Ace tells the Marines, "That's my little brother, you know. Don't lay a hand on him!!" The brothers fight side by side, fire and rubber striking through the Marine lines. Their teamwork shocks the battlefield and immediately turns the rescue into a breakout.

Ace unleashes "Hiken!!!" or "Fire Fist," blasting Marines aside while Luffy fights beside him. The brothers cut through the soldiers with a mix of flame and punches. Marines are thrown into the air, shouting "Uwaaaahhh!!!" as the force of Ace's fire clears space around them. The page is mostly action and SFX, emphasizing that Ace is fully back in the battle now that his handcuffs are gone.

Ace praises Luffy: "You've gotten stronger, Luffy!" Luffy says, "I'll be better than you someday, Ace!!" Their reunion is interrupted when Admiral Aokiji appears and forms an "Ice Block" attack. Ace tells Luffy to get back because he is still covering for him. Aokiji launches "Pheasant Beak!!!" and Ace counters with "Kyoukaen!!!" or "Mirror Flame," meeting ice with fire in a huge collision that explodes across the plaza.

The pirates begin their withdrawal. A huge paddle ship moves in while voices shout, "Uwaaaahh!!! Everyone, get down! The enemy ship is moving!!!" Whitebeard's allies say they will take over the battle and beg, "Boss!!! Everyone, please escape!!!" Doflamingo laughs that they should just let the fugitives go because it will make things more interesting later. Akainu, addressed as Admiral Sakazuki, says they will not get any farther, and Marines identify the escaping unit as traitors and escape prisoners.

The huge ship rushes in and then stops, revealing Squardo and the Whirl Spider Pirates aboard. Pirates shout, "Squardo!!!" and "It's the Whirlpool Spider Pirates!!!" Some are furious, calling them bastards, but Squardo insists, "Of course! After what I did to the boss... do you want to die here!?" He says that if he does not do this, he will never be able to live with himself, and orders everyone to take Ace and get out of there, trying to atone by opening the escape route.

Whitebeard stops Squardo from wallowing in guilt. Squardo cries, "Boss!!" but Whitebeard tells him that the pain of a parent burying his child is something he must understand. He says, "Don't get so full of yourself! That one slash wasn't nearly enough to take my life!! Nobody lives forever..." The commanders say they have accomplished what they came to do and that there is no reason to stay. Whitebeard coughs, then turns to his crew and announces, "This is... my final order!!! Listen well... Whitebeard Pirates!!!"

Whitebeard gives his final order: "You will all part with me here!!! You will all live... and safely return to the New World!!!" His sons cry out that they do not want to hear that and ask if they are all going back to the New World together. Whitebeard answers that the times have passed him by and that there is no ship to take him to this new age. The crew understands that he plans to remain behind so that they can escape.

Whitebeard destroys the ice and battlefield behind his crew, creating a massive barrier and driving the retreat forward. He tells his men, "Go!!! Men!!!" as waves, ice, and rubble split Marineford. The pirates scream, "No, boss!!!" and say they have to go because it is the captain's order. Ace and Luffy shout for him, but Whitebeard tells them, "Don't look back!! The times are changing!!!" Akainu prepares to finish things with the Marines, saying, "Let's finish it... Marines!!!"

Voice Actor SBS extra page featuring Chopper's voice actress, Ootani Ikue. Oda introduces this as the sixth voice actor SBS and says she is the small, cute voice of the ship's doctor, Chopper.
