On the Marine ship, orders are given: INVESTIGATE THE COAST AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND IF YOU SEE ANYONE SUSPICIOUS, REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY! THE TRADE WILL BE CALLED OFF! YOU GUYS SURE ARE DUMB. IF THEY SEE YOU, WE'RE CURRENTLY HEADED TO CONFIRM THIS INFORMATION! Someone shouts, ROGER! The next scene shifts to a burning town labeled GHOST TOWN: PIRATE HIDEOUT. Captain Barrels yells, GET BACK THE DAMN OPE OPE NO MI! STOP WORRYING ABOUT MY BLOODY WOUNDS! CAPTAIN BARRELS, HANG IN THERE! The bottom panels reveal multiple dead bodies sprawled in the street. A voice declares, THAT THING IS WORTH 50 BILLION BERRIES! SFX include TRICKLE and impact sounds as smoke drifts over the corpses.

A close-up shows a young boy with a spotted hat (Law) holding a strange round fruit to his mouth, making a peace sign with wide eyes and a grin. SFX:!!I The next panels show Corazon and Law amid burning buildings. Corazon says, THAT BUILDING'S BURNING... I HEARD GUN-SHOTS... S-SO YOU'RE OKAY. I'M GLAD. Law replies, I THOUGHT... SOMETHING MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED... Cora-san! LOOK! THE OPE OPE NO MI! Corazon insists, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!I OF COURSE IT'LL BE HEALED! EAT IT! GO ON, SCARF IT DOWN! BUT JUST BY EATING THAT... Corazon forces the fruit into Law's mouth: BITE IT AND SWALLOW IT! NOW, GO LIKE THIS AND BITE IT! Law gags violently: GAH... STO-GACK... FU-GACK- GAH... BLECH, GROSS! WHAT'RE YOU... M-MMFF! SFX explode around them. Law's eyes widen in shock:!!I HAA- HAA- as he stares at the scene. Corazon reacts with panic: I HAVEN'T EVEN PREPARED MYSELF...!!!......!!! AHH! WAIT, CORA-SAN! BECOMING A DEVIL FRUIT USER ALL OF A SUDDEN... Large impact SFX fill the panels as Law processes what has happened.

Law stands over the fallen Corasan in the snow, blood pooling around them. "WE'VE BEATEN DOFLAMINGO TO THE PUNCH. THIS IS OUR VICTORY!" Corasan gasps weakly, "YOU... YOU SHOULD NOW BE ABLE TO HEAL THAT ILLNESS ON YOUR OWN. THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH. HAA-" as a drop of blood falls with a "DRIP..." Law's eyes widen in panic. "HEY... CORA-SAN!I" Corasan lies motionless in the snow while Law desperately checks on him. "!I" "WHAT'S WRONG, CORA-SANI ARE YOU TIREDI" Corasan forces a pained smile. "MY BAD, BUT... I HAVE ONE LAST THING TO ASK OF YOU. BUT... JUST THIS... THIS AIN'T GONNA BE ENOUGH TO STOP DOFFY." Suddenly Corasan is struck, blood spraying everywhere. "UGH... HAA- HAA-" "WAA AAAA AAH!" Law screams in horror, "YOU'RE COVERED IN BLOOD! CORA-SAN! DID YOU GET SHOT!I" Corasan mutters, "AGH... THINGS DIDN'T GO AS SMOOTHLY AS PLANNED..."

Law frantically tries to stop the bleeding. "BLOOD, STOP!!" "HAA HEAL! HEAL!" "OH YEAH!" A voice shouts, "GODDAMN IT! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN DIDN'T GO AS SMOOTHLY AS PLANNED!I" Corasan insists weakly, "I'M FINE! THIS ISN'T ENOUGH TO KILL ME. BUT, JUST FOR A LITTLE WHILE, I NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO STOP THE BLEEDING. DO ME A FAVOR." Law yells desperately, "LAW! THEN... THEN WHAT SHOULD I DO!I YOU... YOU GOT SHOT JUST FOR MY SAKE, DIDN'T YOU!I" Corasan laughs, "HAHAHA! DON'T BE SILLY. THIS AIN'T SOME KIND OF MAGICAL POWER! I TOLD YA, DIDN'T II" Holding up a small Den Den Mushi, Corasan explains, "WITH THIS LITTLE THING, WE CAN SAVE A FARAWAY COUNTRY... THE KINGDOM OF DRESSROSA." A marine scout ship appears offshore. "ANY MARINE, UPON SEEING THIS TUBE, SHOULD IMMEDIATELY UNDERSTAND... OFF THE WESTERN COAST OF THE ISLAND IS A MARINE SCOUT SHIP. DELIVER THIS TO THEM FOR ME! I HATE TO USE YOU WHILE YOU'RE WEAKENED, BUT..."

Law clutches the Den Den Mushi as marines approach on the snowy shore. "WE'RE GETTING OFF THIS ISLAND!" "ONCE YOU'VE DELIVERED IT..." A marine spots the lone figure. "THIS GUY'S BY HIMSELF!" "MARINES..." Corasan, bloodied and exhausted, hands over the tube. "HEY... TAKE THIS... HAA- HAA-" A marine examines it. "OH! AN INFORMATION DOCUMENT!" Later, a tall man with sunglasses and a pompadour hairstyle accepts the Den Den Mushi from a hooded figure. "THANK YOU. I'LL TAKE CARE OF THIS. DON'T WORRY. HAA- HAA-" The man asks, "SOMEONE ASKED YOU TO GIVE THIS TO ME, DIDN'T THEYI"

Vergo questions the hooded child. "HE'S BEEN SHOT, AND HE'S GOING TO DIE... THERE'S SOMEONE I WANT YOU TO SAVE! HAA-" The child pleads, "HMI OH, IF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT, DON'T WORRY. I PROMISE I WILL... CAN I TRUST YOUI BUT, LITTLE BOY... YOUR VOICE SOUNDS QUITE WEAK... ARE YOU..." The child breaks down. "I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE! PLEASE, DON'T LET HIM DIE! HE GOT SHOT FOR MY SAKE!" Vergo's face twists in rage, veins bulging. "PLEASE, I'M BEGGIN' YOU! SAVE HIM!" Law stares in shock. "!!!" "IPI" In the distance, Rosinante staggers through the snow toward a town. "THIS MAN SAID HE'LL TEND TO YOUR WOUNDS! CORA-SAAAN!"

A close-up shows Vergo's shocked face, sweat flying as he stares in disbelief. "WAIT... DID YOU JUST... SPEAKI" he gasps. In the next panel Corazon stands holding the wounded Law, blood and debris everywhere. "CORAZON!I WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE!I" Vergo roars. "VERGO!" Corazon shouts back. "YOU'RE TERRIBLY WOUNDED TOO..." Nearby marines react in confusion. "HE'S ONE OF OUR STRONGEST, BUT HE'S AWAY FROM THE FAMILY RIGHT NOW ON SOME SORT OF TOP-SECRET MISSION," one explains. "VERGOI" another questions. "HUHI DO YOU GUYS KNOW EACH OTHERI" A third marine wonders. Vergo clutches his head in panic. "SHIT! I SCREWED UP! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS GUY'S TOP SECRET MISSION WAS THIS!"

Vergo glares furiously. "WHAT SHITTY LUCK! SO VERGO'S MISSION WAS INFILTRATION OF THE MARINES!I OF ALL THE COUNTLESS MARINES ON THIS SEA..." he growls. In the background Corazon runs with Law. "CRACK" sounds as Vergo smashes through a wall. "STOP! THE DOCUMENT!" Corazon yells. Vergo draws his weapon. "WE HAD TO RUN INTO THIS MAN!" he mutters as "RUSTLE" echoes. Young Law stares in horror. "SO THAT'S HOW IT IS, ROCINANTE," Vergo says coldly. Suddenly Corazon is struck from behind in a massive explosion. "CORA-SAN!!!" Law screams as debris flies and "ボコォン" erupts across the page.

Law shouts desperately, "SO YOU ARE THAT VERGO GUY!" Vergo kicks Corazon hard. "STOP IT!" Law cries as "ばっっ!!" and "WHEEZE WHEEZE" mark the impact. Vergo looms over them. "THAT BOTH OF YOU DISAPPEARED. LAW, EHI I'VE HEARD ABOUT YOU. YOU'RE THAT KID FROM THE WHITE CITY. THAT MEANS..." Corazon struggles. "THIS AIN'T GONNA DO! I'M YOUR SENIOR! YOU ADDRESS ME AS..." Vergo continues, "THAT VERGO GUYI" Corazon gasps "GUH!" while clutching documents. "DAMN, THIS THING'S FULL OF INFORMATION... IF THIS ACTUALLY MANAGED TO GET IN THE HANDS OF THE MARINES, IT WOULD MEAN THE END OF THE FAMILY!" Vergo attacks again. "MISTER VERGO!" Law screams. "LAW!" Corazon calls out amid the chaos.

Vergo looms over the fallen Corazon. "AND DIDN'T RETURN TO US UNTIL 14 YEARS LATER! YOU JUST RAN OFF ONE DAY WHEN YOU WERE 8. IT SEEMS WE'VE LET THE RAT SNEAK INTO OUR MIDST! THE SECOND CORAZON!*" he declares. A translator note reads: "HERE HE'S REFERRING TO CORAZON BY HIS TITLE, DOFFY'S HEART EXECUTIVE." Corazon lies broken. "BECAUSE YOU'RE HIS LITTLE BROTHER, DOFFY PUT HIS FAITH IN YOU! STOP IT! STOP IT! YOU'RE KILLIN' HIM!" Law pleads. Vergo continues, "HE'S BEEN IN THE FAMILY ALL THIS TIME SIMPLY TO UNDERMINE YOU AND YOUR PLANS! CORAZON AS A MARINE SPY, AND..." Corazon's face fills the panel. "WHERE ARE YOU NOW, DOFFYI" he thinks. "KEEP IT SHORT AND SIMPLE. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY, VERGOI" a voice demands. "OI OI, THEY HAVEN'T BEEN KILLED, HAVE THEY... WHAT DO YOU MEANI"

On Minion Island, a group of Donquixote Pirates confronts the aftermath of the stolen Devil Fruit. A tall figure in a black coat and sunglasses declares, "JUDGING FROM WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND HERE, BARRELS' UNDERLINGS ARE RUNNING AROUND LOOKING FOR THE GUY WHO STOLE THEIR DEVIL FRUIT FROM THEM. BUT IT SEEMS WE'RE A LITTLE LATE TO THE PARTY..." Another voice adds, "YOU GUYS... YOU'RE MY TRUE FAMILY! I'VE REALIZED THIS MUCH, AT LEAST. AT THAT POINT EVEN I REALIZED WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE LITTLE BROTHER I RAISED WITH LOVING HANDS...HAD TURNED HIS OWN HANDS AGAINST ME!" From afar, the crew had watched Swallow Island. Orders ring out: "IF HE'S WITH YOU, DO NOT LET HIM ESCAPE! HE SHOULD HAVE THE OPE OPE NO MI WITH HIM! CORAZON'S SURELY THE CULPRIT!" A gruff man replies, "WELL, WHATEVER. AS LONG AS HE'S NOT LEFT THE CITY... SO HE'S RUN OFF, EHI WHA-!I RIGHT. COPY-" A massive figure announces, "WE'VE JUST LANDED ON YOUR ISLAND, MINION." Doflamingo stands at the center of the gathered crew, including Trebol and a small girl in a white hood, as he states, "IT PAINS ME, BUT IT SEEMS OUR WORST FEARS WERE TRUE ALL ALONG."

Explosions rock the snowy town as Doflamingo's massive birdcage of threads descends. A bearded man with a rifle shouts, "HE WON'T BE GOING ANYWHERE!" Observers note, "MOST LIKELY DOFFY'S POWERS... IF THERE'S ONE THING... WHAT... IS THAT... THESE THREADS ARE HARD AS HELL! THEY'RE SHARP TOO! OWW! O!!! WE CAN'T STOP OUTSIDE THEM!" The cage fully forms into a glowing dome over the island. A voice inside declares, "HAVE ANYWHERE TO RUN." Another finishes, "WE NO LONGER..." The massive barrier traps everyone beneath its sharp, impenetrable threads as snow falls and the sun breaks through the clouds.

Law, bloodied and desperate, yells, "CAUSE I'M GONNA DIE WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE!" Corazon urges, "LAW, WE'VE GOTTA MOVE." Law continues, "EVEN AFTER I DIE... THERE'S NO SAVING ME ANYWAY. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET LAW OUT. WILL YOU STILL REMEMBER MEI" Corazon replies, "AFTER ALL, IF ONE DAY... YOU'RE GONNA REMEMBER ME..." With a fierce grin he shouts, "LET'S GO!!" Law screams, "WAAAH!" The narration states, "ISN'T IT BETTER THAT YOU REMEMBER THIS SMILEI" as Corazon's wide, tear-streaked smile fills the panel with the word "GRIN".
