During training... Luffy yells 'BUT I'M HUNGRYYYYY!!! RAYLEIGH!!' while concentrating. A voice warns 'IF YOU'RE UNABLE TO DODGE 100 TIMES, YOU WON'T BE ALLOWED TO EAT.' Rayleigh appears, saying 'EVERY ATTACK HAS AN INTENT! EVERY ATTACK HAS AN AURA!' and 'DO YOU THINK THAT AN ENEMY WILL CARE IF YOU'RE HUNGRYI' Luffy smells something and exclaims 'SOMETHING SMELLS DELICIOUS...!! THAT'S MY DINNER. DON'T PAY ANY MIND TO IT.' He swings a pipe as Rayleigh dodges. A massive impact occurs with 'KACHIN!!' and 'GIIIINNN!!' as Rayleigh shouts 'OR MAYBE IT'S OVER THEEERE!!' Luffy yells 'THERE IT IIIIIS!!' while a monstrous figure with wild hair and sharp teeth roars in rage.

The monster attacks, yelling 'DON'T JUST ATTACK BLINDLY, LUFFY!!' Luffy is struck hard, coughing 'GEGH...!!!' Small panels show Luffy sensing 'I SENSE ANGER...!!' and 'SOMEHOW... I SENSE ANGER!!' Rayleigh shouts 'HERE, TRY TO DODGE THIS!!' and 'THAT'S ALSO HAKI. RAYLEIGH!! THAT HURT!!' Luffy is sent flying. Later, exhausted and lying on the ground, Luffy declares 'IF YOU'VE GOT FOOD, I DON'T WANT IT... RAYLEIGH SAID THAT I CAN'T EAT...' and 'SO I WON'T EAT!!' A fox-like creature whimpers nearby. In the jungle at night, Luffy lies defeated as a tiger growls 'GRRR' and a small animal yelps 'YIP!'

A tall, long-haired man with a beard speaks calmly while holding a bottle. "YOU'RE MORE PROFICIENT IN SENSING THE FEELINGS OF LIVING THINGS... YOU'RE PROBABLY UNAWARE OF THAT, THOUGH..." He continues, "...IT'S ALL PART OF THE COLOUR OF OBSERVATION, BUT IT SEEMS THAT..." In a forest setting, the man sits and explains further: "AMONG THE MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, THERE ARE THOSE WHO CAN SEE A SMALL GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE...!!" A small creature reacts with shock. "THE FUTURE...!I" The man adds, "...BUT IF YOU HAVE THAT ABILITY... THEN YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE CAPABLE OF PREDICTING AN OPPONENT'S MOVEMENTS AS WELL!!" Luffy stares in surprise. The man notes, "THEIR PERSONALITYI! THAT'S WHAT YOU CARE ABOUTI I'VE NEVER CONSIDERED THAT ASPECT." Luffy shouts, "HUHI OF COURSE." Laughing, Luffy exclaims, "WAHA HAHA! YOU'RE A STRANGE GUY." The man warns, "THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO JUST RUN AWAY!" and adds, "WELL... I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF PERSON THEY ARE..." Facing Luffy directly he asks, "WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU MEET ONE OF THOSE PEOPLEI WITH ONLY TWO YEARS OF TRAINING... IT'S HARD TO THINK THAT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO REACH THAT LEVEL... YOU'LL HAVE A ROUGH TIME."

Luffy, bruised and bloodied with one eye swollen shut, glares forward and yells, "COME!! I'LL DO MY BEST TO MAKE YOU CAPABLE OF IT!!" The opponent chuckles, "FUFUFU... YOU SEEM TO BE HAVING SOME TROUBLE..." Massive mochi fists surge forward in a whirlwind attack. Luffy is struck repeatedly as the fists spin and smash into him with tremendous force, sending shockwaves and debris flying. The barrage continues relentlessly, overwhelming Luffy in a storm of punches.

Katakuri launches a powerful flying kick that connects with explosive impact. Luffy takes the blow, his face twisting in pain. Multiple rapid strikes follow as mochi-enhanced limbs pummel Luffy from every angle. Luffy grunts "UGH!!" and "GAH!!" while being driven back. He counters with his own punches, shouting "GEH!!" as the two trade heavy blows amid flying debris and impact lines. Katakuri presses the assault without pause.

Katakuri's massive mochi fist slams down with a resounding "BAM!!" Luffy is sent flying. Katakuri's arm transforms further as he shouts "MOCHI!!!" Luffy is struck again, crying out "UGH!!!" Katakuri's face swells grotesquely with the word "SWELL!!" and he mutters "GRILLED..." The environment erupts in a massive checkered explosion of debris and smoke as the battlefield is torn apart by the continuing clash.

A brutal close-quarters brawl erupts. The towering, scarred fighter with a striped outfit lunges forward, his massive hand dripping with some dark substance as he swings wildly. "ズズ...!!" Impact lines explode around him. He reels back from a counterstrike, body twisting amid smoke and debris. In the distance, a smaller figure stands amid shattered rocks and swirling dust clouds. The fight intensifies as the large man is driven backward, mouth open in a roar. "ガラ..!!" The opponent closes in again, delivering a crushing blow that sends the striped fighter reeling. Luffy appears in the foreground, eyes wide and teeth gritted in fury, his fist connecting with a heavy impact. "ゴキ" The striped fighter is hurled sideways, body contorted. Luffy's face fills the final panel, hair wild, expression savage as motion lines and debris fly. "ドドドド"

Capone Bege grins widely, cigar in hand, as he speaks into a den-den mushi. "FUFU... NOW THAT THE CAKE IS IN OUR HANDS... THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO RECKLESSLY ATTACK US!!" A clock on the wall reads 10:10 PM. On the deck of the ship, Bege's crew cheers as the vessel sails through rough seas toward a cluster of floating islands. "THANK GOODNESS WE WERE ABLE TO REPAIR OUR PADDLES AND MAKE IT IN TIME! GOOD JOB, EVERYONE!!" "YES, SIR! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAISE!!" "WE'LL ARRIVE AT LIQUEUR ISLAND SOON." "HA HA HA! THAT WASN'T SO TERRIBLE AFTER ALL!" Bege continues, "ONCE WE THROW THE CAKE ONTO LIQUEUR ISLAND, WE'LL START OUR GREAT ESCAPE-RERO, RIGHTI" Prometheus floats nearby, sweating nervously. "BECAUSE OF HIS CURRENT SIZE, PROMETHEUS IS MOVING SLUGGISHLY." The crew responds, "YEAH, THAT'S PROBABLY THE BEST PLAN...!!" The ship presses onward through the waves.

Bege points at a map labeled with islands including LIQUEUR ISLAND, PUFFS ISLAND, CACAO ISLAND, and others. "LIQUEUR ISLAND ISN'T FAR ENOUGH...!! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO LURE THEM TO PUFFS ISLAND." Chiffon, with a large black bow, sweats nervously beside him. "...WHAT'S THE MATTER, CHIFFONI" "...NO, NOT YET." Below, Big Mom towers on the deck of the Bege ship in her massive form, hair wild and tongue lolling. Crew members shout in panic around her. "SHE'LL STILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO CATCH UP TO NAMI AND THE OTHERS!!" "SO WHAT!I HAVEN'T WE DONE ENOUGH ALREADY!I WE'LL LOSE OUR LIVES!" "HEY!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND, CHIFFON!I" "IF MAMA RETURNS TO NORMAL AFTER EATING THE CAKE AT LIQUEUR ISLAND..." Big Mom roars with hunger, "MAMA'S JUST GETTING HUNGRIER AND HUNGRIER!! LOOK AT HER!!" Chiffon yells desperately, "LET'S KEEP GOING UNTIL WE REACH PUFFS ISLAND!!" "OKAY." "WAIT A SECOND, CHIFFON!!! WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING!I"

Big Mom swings a massive spiked club with terrifying force. "ドンッ" The weapon smashes downward amid flying debris and impact lines. On the deck, the crew reacts in terror. Brook shouts, "IT'S COMING AGAIN!! SWERVE TO THE LEFT, JINBE!!!" Nami, Carrot, and others stare in horror as the ship lurches violently. A clock reads 10:50 PM. The vessel tilts sharply, water spraying everywhere. "KYAAA AHH!!!" "WAAA AHH!!" "UWOOH!!" The ship heels over dangerously close to the waves as Big Mom's attack continues to rain down.

On the deck of a massive, overloaded ship, crew members panic as the vessel strains under its weight. "IF YOU GET ANY BIGGER THAN THIS!!" someone yells while Smoothie looms above. "THE SHIP IS GOING TO SINK..." another warns. "...THEY'RE SO TENACIOUS....!!!" a voice exclaims as Smoothie is called out: "SMOOTHIE....!!!" Below deck, a determined figure huffs heavily: "DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN YET! I BELIEVE IN YOUR NAVIGATIONAL COMMAND!!" Nearby, a woman sweats and mutters, "THAT DAMN JINBE...!!" Elsewhere on the ship, the Straw Hats regroup. Nami declares, "SANJI-SAN WILL CONTACT US IF ANYTHING HAPPENS!" Carrot asks, "LITTLE SIS! DO NEKOMAMUSHI AND INUARASHI ALSO TRANSFORM LIKE THATI" Chopper wonders, "I WONDER IF SANJI'S ARRIVED YET... SORRY THAT I SLEPT FOR SO LONG!" Brook muses, "I WONDER IF LUFFY'S WON YET..." Nami reassures everyone, "IT'LL BE OKAY!! I'M TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS!!" while another voice questions, "I WONDER IF THAT WOMAN IS A GIANT..."

Later, a determined woman with pigtails vows, "I WILL DEFINITELY SAVE MY CAPTAIN....!!!" while another figure notes, "LUFFY IS GOING TO APPEAR RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MULTIPLE SQUADS AND FLEETS...!!" A small character asks, "WHO EXACTLY ARE YOU IMITATING...I" as hearts float nearby and the woman clutches her face in shock.

On Cacao Island at 11:36 PM, chaos erupts near the coast as mirrors are thrown aside. "WE'VE THROWN THEM ALL AWAY!!" a voice shouts. "WHERE ARE ALL YOUR MIRRORSI" another demands. "JUST HOW WARY OF STRAW HAT LUFFY ARE THEY!I" a fish-like man wonders while others discuss the siblings gathered. In the bustling town square filled with Charlotte Family members, a tall figure in a cloak complains, "THIS IS QUITE TROUBLESOME WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE TELEKINETIC SEA SLUGS..." Family members are labeled: 35th son Yuen, 33rd son Raisin, the 26-40th sons and 30-34th daughters Decuplets. Snack, former Sweet Commander, and others like Joconde and Brownie appear among the crowd. "THIS SEEMS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE FUN! KYAHA HAHA!" someone laughs as Big Mom's forces prepare. A clock ticks while Luffy is hurled through the air in combat.

At 12:05 AM on Cacao Island, with one hour until the meeting time, massive destruction rocks the landscape as buildings crumble. "FINISHED ALREADY!I" Luffy roars with wide eyes. "AH... THAT'S RIGHT..." a battered Katakuri replies amid heavy breathing. Katakuri looms forward, demanding, "ARE YOU... WHAT'S THE MATTER, STRAW HAT!I" as mochi and debris fly. Luffy, bloodied but fierce, declares, "I'M GOING TO END THIS....!!!" Katakuri responds, "YES... ENDURE IT AND STRAIGHTEN BACK UP." The ground shakes with "CRUMBLE..." and "WHEEZE..." sounds as the two powerhouses face off amid the ruins, their intense stares locked.

Luffy, battered and breathing heavily, glares with a fierce expression. "...I'VE ALREADY ANSWERED YOU," he growls. In the next panel he continues, "...WITH THIS, IF YOU..." A close-up shows his intense eyes and gritted teeth. Below, the battlefield is devastated with floating debris and shattered terrain. Luffy activates his power as "GEAR FOURTH..." is displayed. "YEAH," he affirms amid heavy breaths and impact sounds. "THIS IS THE END..." he declares as the ground cracks. A massive close-up reveals his transformed eye and wild hair. "THAT FORM IS...!I" someone reacts in shock. The enormous title "SNAKE MAN!!!" dominates the page as Luffy's new Gear Fourth form is revealed, ending the chapter.
