Perona's Wonder Garden

Inside Thriller Bark, Absalom sends the General Zombies into the hunt. He orders, "STAY ALERT AND HUNT THEM DOWN, NO MATTER WHERE THEY MIGHT TRY TO RUN!!" and reminds them, "THEY AREN'T EVEN ENEMIES WORTHY FOR THE LIKES OF YOU, GENERAL ZOMBIES!!!" The armored dead answer with "GARU RURU!!!" Nearby, a glamorous zombie woman scolds Captain John: "HMM...? HEY, DON'T BE SUCH A SLOWPOKE, CAPTAIN JOHN! YOUR INFAMOUS, LIFE-TIME REPUTATION ALL OVER THE WORLD IS CRYING!!" Captain John only replies, "AYE, AYE... I'M GOING, HUHEHE!!!" Absalom mutters, "... DAMN, HE'S SO HOPELESS," while a shadow calls sweetly, "AB-SAMA."

Lola bursts in and terrifies Absalom. She shouts, "MARRY ME---" with hearts, and Absalom screams, "GYAAAA, LOLA!!!" He refuses her in panic: "GET OUT AND FIGHT ALREADY!! I'M THE COMMANDER!!!" but Lola only presses harder: "SO MARRY ME!!!" Absalom snaps, "DON'T FUCK WITH ME!!! I'M A HUMAN! SO I'LL TAKE A FEMALE HUMAN FOR MY BRIDE. THINK ABOUT IT, LOLA!! YOU'RE A FEMALE WARTHOG, AND A ZOMBIE TO BOOT!!! YOU'RE DEAD AND STINKY!!!" Lola silently produces a paper labeled "Marriage registration," and both stare at it in disbelief: "HA!" "HUH?"

Lola tries to force the marriage registration on Absalom. She leaps with "HERE GOES!!!" and he cries, "WOOAH, LET GO!!!" She slams into him with "BAH!!" Absalom yells, "THAT...!! THAT WAS TERRIBLE!! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL BY GETTING ME TO SIGN THAT MARRIAGE REGISTRATION WITHOUT CONSENT!?" Lola answers, "GIVE ME YOUR FINGER!! I LOVE YOU, ABSALOM!!!" He can barely fend her off: "I DON'T FEEL LIKE BEING HAUNTED BY A DEAD ANIMAL FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!" She attacks again with "BRIDAL MARTIAL ARTS!! KISS OF THE VOW!!!" while he shouts, "OH... I JUST CAN'T HOLD IT WITH THAT WILD MOUTH OF YOURS..."

Absalom tries to reason with Lola from behind an outstretched hand: "WAIT! LOLA, LISTEN TO ME!!!" He says, "I, YOU SEE...!! I'VE ALREADY DECIDED ON THE WOMAN I'M GONNA MARRY!! SHE'S STRONG-WILLED, BUT SHE'S A REFINED AND WEAK WOMAN DEEP INSIDE!!" Lola realizes whom he means when he says, "SHE'S ONE OF THE PIRATES THAT LANDED ON THIS ISLAND... SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL THAT SHE'S FITTING TO BE MY BRIDE!!" Absalom adds, "WITH THIS, YOUR CURSE OVER ME IS OVER... I CAN'T ALLOW THAT." Then Lola's face twists with rage: "I'LL ERASE THAT WOMAN!!!" Absalom runs after her, screaming, "STOP IT!! WAIT, LOLAAAA!!!"

At another balcony, Perona commands her servants. She calls, "HEY, BEARSY!!!" and orders, "THE SQUIRREL-KEY BROTHERS ARE CARRYING THE COFFINS HERE. GO RECEIVE THEM AND ... TAKE THEM TO THE DANCE HALL! GOT IT?" Kumashi hesitates and asks, "UNDERSTOOD!?" Perona snaps, "DON'T ANSWER!! YOU AREN'T CUTE!!" then turns away: "I'M GOING TO THE SHIP RIGHT NOW ... TO COMMAND THE TREASURE RECOVERY GROUP. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS, LET ME KNOW. GOT IT!?" Kumashi mumbles, and Perona catches him: "YOU!! YOU JUST WHISPERED, DIDN'T YOU!!?" He tries to say, "... HAVE A GOOD TRIP..." and she answers, "FUU...!! THAT'S RIGHT! YOU'RE CUTE WHEN YOU'RE QUIET!!"

The Squirrel-key Brothers carry a huge coffin through Perona's garden, laughing, "HE HOO! HE HOO!" and chanting, "TAKE THIS, TAKE THIS TO THE MASTER!!" As they hurry, one cries, "DANGEROUS!!" and the coffin tips. It falls with a crash, and both brothers panic: "OH NO, WE'VE DONE IT!!" "OH NO!! IT FELL!" They realize what they dropped: "THE THING WE NEED TO DELIVER TO THE MASTER!!"

The coffin bursts open, and Luffy wakes up inside with a groan, "UGH...!!!" The Squirrel-key Brothers panic: "THE COFFIN OPENED!!!" "WAH, HE WOKE UP! THIS IS BAD!!" "KICK IT, QUICKLY!! KICK IT AND KILL IT!!" They argue, "IT'LL BE BAD IF WE KILL HIM!!" "SO LET'S ONLY HALF KILL HIM!!" "LET'S HALF-KILL HIM!!" One wonders, "HUH? THIS PLACE IS..." Luffy opens his eyes to their attack and shouts, "YOU LITTLE!!!" then smashes them with "BOHAAAAAAA!!!"

Luffy pulls himself together in the garden and calls, "AH!! USOPP, NAMI!!" Nami and Usopp wake nearby; Nami groans, "... UGH..." while Usopp says, "...!! IT HURTS... HMM? FOR SURE, WE..." Then he remembers, "BY THE SAMURAI... SO IT WAS WITH THE BACK OF HIS SWORD, HUH...!!" Luffy says, "OPEN YOUR EYES!" and "HEY!! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!" Looking around, Nami says, "THIS PLACE IS... OUTSIDE... THERE WAS A LITTLE RAIN, SO THE GROUND IS WET." Usopp notices the boxes: "WOAH! AREN'T THOSE COFFINS!? IN THOSE BOXES BY THOSE SQUIRRELS. I DON'T QUITE UNDERSTAND, BUT WE WERE CARRIED..." The brothers shout, "TROUBLE! LET'S CALL OUR FRIENDS!!" and Usopp realizes, "DAMN, THOSE 3 WOKE UP!!"

The trio studies the mansion from behind. Nami says, "THIS LOOKS LIKE... THE BACK OF THE MANSION." Usopp adds, "HOGBACK'S RESEARCH AREA WAS ON THE TOP FLOOR. WE'VE BEEN CARRIED QUITE A DISTANCE..." Then they notice another structure: "ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE, THERE'S A WEIRDER BUILDING!!" and "WHAT'S THAT...? BEHIND THE MANSION..." Nami says, "THERE WAS SUCH A HUGE BUILDING...!!!" Luffy remembers why they came: "NAMI...!? I KNOW WHAT KIND OF PLACE THIS IS ...!!"

A bridge stretches between the mansion and the strange building. Luffy explains, "THIS IS THE BRIDGE CONNECTING THE MANSION AND THIS BUILDING." Nami repeats, "BRIDGE!?" Usopp looks over the place and says, "IT'S REALLY WIDE!! IT'S AN ENTIRE FOREST!!" Nami reasons, "... WELL, EVEN IF THIS FOREST IS WEIRD AND ALL... WHEN WE LOST CONSCIOUSNESS, WE WERE BROUGHT HERE. MEANING THAT WE WERE OBVIOUSLY ABOUT TO BE BROUGHT TO THAT BUILDING." Usopp panics, "WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN TAKEN THERE TO BE TURNED INTO ZOMBIES!!" and screams, "GYAAAAAAA!!!"

Nami realizes that running blindly is dangerous: "THIS ISN'T SMART... RUNNING AWAY AFTER WE MADE SUCH A SCENE FROM BEING SCARED... WE'LL ONLY MEET WITH MORE SCARY EXPERIENCES..." Usopp says, "THAT'S RIGHT, LET'S RUN RIGHT NOW!!... BUT WHERE TO?" Luffy says, "THEN IT'S LUCKY THAT I WOKE UP!! LET'S RUN!" Nami insists, "RIGHT?" but Luffy and Usopp shout, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!? YOU!!" and "WHAA!! THERE'S A STRONG RESPONSE IN MY 'SOME-THING-IS-BAD SENSOR'!!!" Nami reminds them of the clue: "THE WORDS THAT ZOMBIE SAID BACK THEN... THE STORE-HOUSE FOR TREASURES ISN'T HERE!!! DON'T THINK ABOUT SUCH STUPID THINGS! LET'S JUST RUN!!" Usopp asks, "... SO WHICH WAY SHOULD WE RUN? FRONT? BACK?" Nami says returning to the mansion might mean the samurai again, while going forward might bring something even scarier. Luffy and Usopp protest, "MORONS, I KNOW!! I'M SCARED TOO! BUT YOUR EYES ARE WEIRD!!!"

A strange trio of penguin zombies marches past, chanting musical sounds. Nami recognizes the pattern: "HUH... WHAT? THOSE LOVABLE FOREST ANIMALS... PENGUINS!? NUMBERS!!" The three numbered zombies pose one by one: "1!!" "2!!" "3..." with sound notes explaining the barking puns. They introduce themselves awkwardly: "GOOD DAY! WE ARE... THE PENGUIN-ZOMBIE COMBINATION! AH!! SORRY." Then they correct it: "TRIO!! IT'S TRIO. I'M THE NEW GUY." They add, "LIKE WE CARE ABOUT YOUR MEMBERS' SITUATIONS!! AND THE ONES BEHIND YOU ARE OUR NAKAMA WILD ZOMBIES!!"

The forest erupts into Perona's Wonder Garden. A crowd of stitched animal zombies surrounds Luffy, Nami, and Usopp and announces, "WELCOME... TO PERONA-SAMA'S 'WONDER GARDEN'!!" The trio stares at bears, elephants, penguins, rabbits, koalas, and other patched creatures covered in numbers and stitches. Usopp says, "THEY'RE WEIRD TO THE POINT OF LOATHING!!" but one cheerful zombie says, "WELL, JUST BEAT THEM... AND TIE THEM UP!!!" The garden attacks from every side as the three scream, "WHAAAAAAA!!!" "GYAAAAAAA!!!"

The wild zombies swarm the trio. One attacks with "HISSATSU!!!" and a note calls it "INSTANT KILL," while Usopp shouts, "THIS IS BAD!! USOPP, FIRE!! FIRE!!" Nami calls, "USOPP!!" as he tries to fight back with "DORYAA" and "HORAN!!" A heavy zombie charges and slams Usopp aside with "BUHAA!!!" Nami sees another threat behind Chopper and cries, "CHOPPER, LOOK OUT!! BEHIND YOU!!!" Even in the chaos, the attackers shout, "THAT'S RIGHT, THEY ARE ZOMBIES TOO!!"

The fight turns desperate. Nami sees Chopper and Usopp being attacked and cries, "CHOPPER, USOPP!!!" A cow-like zombie looms over her and says, "WE'LL HALF-KILL YOU, TOO!!!" Nami gasps, "AH!" The attack is about to land, but a sudden strike crashes into the monster. A voice cuts through the chaos: "STOP IT!!!" The impact sends the zombie flying as Nami and the others stare in shock.

The wild zombies turn on the newcomer, shouting, "HEY! NEW GUY!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR NAKAMA!?" and "THE ENEMY IS THAT HUMAN!! KICK THE CRAP OUT OF HER!!!" The rescuer admits, "I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT LADY IS, BUT... EVEN IF IT'S UNDER THE MASTER'S ORDERS... EVEN IF I DIE...!!! I WON'T KICK A WOMAN!!!" He plants himself in front of Nami. Usopp and Luffy recognize the attitude in disbelief. The penguin-like zombie says, "IF YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN, COME AT ME... FUCKING ZOMBIES!!!"

Back inside the mansion, Luffy's remaining group hears a distant cry: "HEEEY!!" and "HEEEEEEEY!!" Luffy, Franky, and Robin drag the pig zombie guide along while he squeals. Luffy demands, "HEY!! 'BUHI'!! YOU DID SOMETHING AGAIN, RIGHT!? SPIT IT OUT!!!" The pig insists, "I TOLD YOU FROM THE START! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!" Franky says, "AREN'T YOU LAUGHING? YOU SHAMELESS FELLOW...!!!" and Robin notices, "THAT'S WEIRD... THERE AREN'T ANY VOICES. MAYBE THEY WERE STRANGLED TO DEATH... WHY ARE YOUR CIRCUITS ALWAYS WIRED SO OMINOUSLY!?" Luffy looks around and says, "THIS IS WEIRD...!!! ZORO DISAPPEARED TOO!!"
