INCIDENT AT THE TAVERN

Inside a lively tavern, pirates celebrate wildly. A voice declares, "AND WE HAVE A NEW CREWMATE!! EVERYTHING IS GOING OUR WAY!!" while another caption notes, "AT THE TAVERN, 'THE DRINKER PUB'..." and "THE MAP OF THE GRAND LINE IS MINE AGAIN!" Buggy stands with arms raised, shouting, "LIVE IT UP, MEN! HERE'S TO OUR NEXT CONQUEST!" and "EVERYBODY RAISE A GLASS!" The crew erupts in cheers with "ARRR!" and "HOORAY!!!" as they drink, juggle, and party around tables covered in mugs and bottles. DA-DUM sound effect punctuates the toast.

Nami fights back against the rowdy pirates in the tavern. Someone yells, "AYE AYE, CAP'N BUGGY!!" while another shouts, "NAMI!! ARE YOU KNOCKIN' EM BACK!I" Nami slams a mug down with "WOW" and "I WIN!" A pirate challenges, "YOU'RE ON!!" and "TIME FOR A DRINKING CONTEST, NEW GIRL!!" with "GLUG GLUG GLUG" sound effects. Nami thinks to herself, "HEH HEH... NOBODY CAN OUT-DRINK ME! AT THIS RATE THEY'LL ALL PASS OUT SOON." and "THEN THEIR TREASURE WILL BE ALL MINE! PIRATES ARE SUCH EASY PREY!"

A helmeted pirate devours food with loud "CHOMP! CHANG CHANG CHOMP!" sounds. Outside, pirates laugh with "HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR" as one remarks, "THAT'S WHAT A PIRATE'S SUPPOSED TO DO!" and another notes, "LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE HAVING FUN." Nami crouches near caged animals, saying, "AND GET ME SOMETHING TO EAT! I'M STARVING!" and "LET ME OUTTA HERE!" A pirate asks, "HOW YA DOIN', 'BOSSI'" while a creature growls, "GRR!"

Nami sits calmly and tells Luffy, "They'll probably sell you off somewhere. Don't you realize what's going to happen to youI" Luffy, locked in a barred cage, grins and replies, "You're not so bad. Maybe I'll let you join my crew after all!" while munching on food. Nami smiles and answers, "Really, you don't seem so bad... for a pirate. Then let me out of here now!" She offers, "Maybe I'll give you the key to this cage. But hey, if my plan works..." Suddenly Buggy looms over them in fury, shouting, "You picked the wrong partner, little thief!!" Luffy and Nami gasp in shock as Buggy bursts into wild laughter, "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"

Buggy laughs "HEH HEH HEH" and taunts Luffy, "She betrayed you, after all!I Not anymore, ehI Can't blame you!" Luffy snaps back angrily, "PartnerI She's not my partner!" Buggy's crew questions if Luffy will be released, but Buggy declares, "Of course I'm not going to let you go-- I've already decided what your fate shall be. The punishment for trying to steal my treasure is severe!" He raises a mug and orders his men, "Load the special Buggy Balls!!" The crew cheers wildly, "HOORAY!! YAAR!"

A massive cannon is prepared as a crewman announces, "Buggy Ball ready, Cap'n!" Buggy, eyes gleaming, declares, "Now for a demonstration... of power! Very well!" The cannon fires with a thunderous "DOM DA DUM". Nami watches in horror with wide eyes and sweat drops while Luffy stares in shock from below. The Buggy Ball arcs through the air toward the town buildings in the distance.

The Buggy Ball explodes with a massive "BOOOM-OOM-OOM-OOM", sending buildings flying and debris everywhere. Nami stares in disbelief, mouth open. The destruction continues with repeated "OOM-OOM-OOM" impacts across the town. Buggy stands triumphant, proclaiming, "With these Buggy Balls-- and the special powers I got from eating the Devil Fruit-- I'll rule the Grand Line!!!" His crew cheers, "YAAAY!!!" as he adds, "Breathtaking! That would have leveled a smaller town!!!"

On a rooftop terrace, Buggy the clown pirate looms over Nami and gestures toward a massive cannon while Luffy sits bound inside a cage. Buggy shouts, "SHOW ME YOU'RE RUTHLESS ENOUGH TO HELP ME TAKE OVER THE WORLD!" and "NOW IT'S YOUR TURN, GIRLIE!!" He demands, "KILL YOUR FORMER BOSS!!!" and "PROVE YOUR LOYALTY BY BLOWING YOUR FORMER BOSS INTO MINCEMEAT WITH THIS BUGGY BALL!" A giant "DA-DUM!" sound effect rumbles. Nami sweats heavily and stammers, "...K-KILL HIMI YOU WANT ME TO..." Luffy watches with a serious frown. Nami suddenly breaks into a wide grin and laughs, "LET'S FORGET ABOUT THAT LOSER!! HEY, LET'S JUST DRINK SOME MORE INSTEAD!I" Buggy recoils and stammers, "I DON'T NEED TO DO THAT... TH-THAT'S OKAY, CAPTAIN BUGGY..."

Buggy's face fills the frame as he snarls, "DO IT." The crowd of Buggy Pirates erupts in wild cheers, yelling "BLAST HIM! BLAST HIM!" "DO IT! NOW!! BLOW HIM TO PIECES!!" and "YEAHHH!!!" Luffy glares and shouts, "BLOW HIM TO PIECES!" Nami sweats, her expression tense, as she thinks "UM..." and then yells "BLOW HIM APART!" while raising a fist. A pirate silhouette echoes, "BLOW HIM TO PIECES!" Nami's face hardens as she repeats, "DO IT!"

The Buggy Pirates continue their frenzy from the terrace, shouting "BLOW 'IM TO PIECES!!" "DO IT!" "YEAH!" "BLAST HIM!" and "YARP!" Nami stands frozen before the cannon, sweat pouring down her face. Her thoughts race: "IF I MURDER HIM IN COLD BLOOD, THEN I'LL BE AS BAD AS A PIRATE TOO! HE'S JUST A NO-GOOD PIRATE, BUT... IF I DON'T KILL HIM, THEY'LL KILL ME! OH NO... WHAT SHOULD I DOI" She growls in frustration, "ARRR! ARRR!" Luffy stares intensely from the foreground. The mob presses closer, roaring "DO IT! DO IT!" Buggy points and bellows, "NAMI!!! STOP STALLING AND LIGHT THE CANNON!"

Nami's hands visibly tremble as she holds a small black object. A voice notes, "YOUR HANDS ARE SHAKING." Luffy grins broadly and declares, "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET......FOR GOING UP AGAINST PIRATES UNPREPARED!" From inside the cage Luffy firmly answers, "NO." Nami's face twists with desperation as she pleads, "IS THAT WHAT 'PREPARED' MEANS TO A PIRATEI UNPREPARED!I YOU MEAN NOT BEING PREPARED TO KILL SOMEONE LIKE IT'S NOTHINGI" She forces a smile and cries, "DO IT! DO IT!"

Luffy grins fiercely in close-up, declaring, "IT MEANS BEING PREPARED TO RISK YOUR OWN LIFE!!" Buggy's crew shouts back, "QUIT STALLING!!" On the ship deck, Nami stands before a large cannon as a Buggy pirate in a jester hat demands, "DON'T YA KNOW HOW TO FIRE A CANNONI" Another pirate yells, "WHAT'SA MATTER, NEW GIRL!I" The crew urges her, "DO IT!! BLAST HIM!" Nami grips a long staff and strikes the deck with powerful "KRAK" and "KRAK!!" sounds. The jester-hatted pirate explains, "JUST PUT THE FLAME TO THE FUSE, AND... IT'S EASY."

Nami swings her staff in a massive "THWACK" impact, striking the jester-hatted pirate across the face and sending him flying backward with limbs flailing. The pirate reacts with shock, "!!I" Below, Luffy stares in wide-eyed surprise. The remaining Buggy pirates gape in confusion, one exclaiming "HUH!I" as the crew reacts to the sudden betrayal.

The defeated pirate yells, "TRAITOR!! AND AFTER I WELCOMED YOU INTO MY CREW!" with an angry "ROWR" effect. Nami stands over him, thinking, "DARN! I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF." She turns away, declaring, "I JUST DON'T WANT TO BECOME A LOW-DOWN MURDERER LIKE ALL OF YOU!! I JUST GOT CARRIED AWAY..." The pirate in the cage shouts, "DON'T BE STUPID!!" and another calls out, "WHOA, ARE YOU GOING TO SAVE ME AFTER ALLI" Nami grips her staff tightly, sweat on her face.

Nami shouts passionately, "I'LL NEVER BECOME WHAT I HATE!!! YOU PIRATES TOOK SOMEONE DEAR TO ME..." Luffy watches from the cage and responds, "OH... SO THAT'S WHY YOU HATE PIRATES." The cannon fuse ignites with "FSSS" and a loud "DA-BOOM!!" as the text reads, "THE FUSE IS LIT!!!" Nami panics, "I'M GONNA DIE!!!" while the cannon fires wildly with repeated "CHANG CHANG CHANG" impacts, prompting a frantic "UH-OH!!!"

Buggy looms in close-up, face twisted in rage. "FOR THAT, YOU DIE!!" he roars. "LITTLE GIRL, YOU TRIED TO MAKE A FOOL OF ME!!" In the next panel Nami swings a long staff with full force, sending Buggy's crewmen flying amid impact lines and "WAAA!" "DIE!!!!" The fuse on a nearby cannon continues to burn with "FSSS". Nami's face appears in close-up, sweat flying, eyes wide as she realizes "THE FUSE IS STILL LIT..."

Nami frantically works at the cannon as it fires repeatedly with loud "CHANG" sounds. "DARN! I'LL BE BLOWN TO BITS!!!" she cries. She spins and strikes with the staff, pirates tumbling around her. One pirate is sent flying as she shouts "YOU MISSED!!" while another crewman reacts with "!!!" amid motion lines and debris.

The cannon keeps firing with "CHANG" and "FSSS". Nami yells "NO WAY! I'LL NEVER GIVE UP!" as she dodges and strikes. An explosion erupts with "FWP" and smoke. Pirates swarm from behind shouting "YARR!! BEHIND YOU!!" and "HEY! LOOK OUT!!" Nami is struck from the side, crying "AGGH..." and "NNGH" as she reels from the blow.

A chaotic melee erupts around Nami as multiple Buggy Pirates attack with swords and kicks. One pirate yells "HOW MANY PIRATES DOES IT TAKE TO HANDLE ONE GIRLI" Nami ducks low amid the frenzy. Suddenly Luffy bursts onto the scene with a huge grin, shouting "ZOLO!!!" Nami looks up in surprise with "...I"

Zoro stands with swords drawn, tapping his foot impatiently. A voice from the cage calls out, "PHEW! I'M GLAD YOU FOUND ME! NOW GET ME OUTTA HERE!" Someone asks, "YOU HURTI" The caged figure replies, "NO, I'M OKAY..." Onlookers react with "WHOA WOW" and "ZOLO!!" Zoro retorts, "ALWAYS GOOFING AROUND... FIRST YOU FLY OFF WITH A BIRD, AND NOW YOU'RE PLAYING IN SOME CAGE... FOOL!" Nami sweats nervously, asking, "WHAT'S GOING ON HEREI THAT WAS ZOLO THE PIRATE HUNTERI" Nearby pirates mutter, "THE CREWMATE HE WAS TALKING ABOUT... WHAT'S ZOLO THE PIRATE HUNTER DOING TALKING TO THAT THIEFI HEY, DID HE JUST CALL THAT GUY Z-ZOLOI"

Zoro turns his back, declaring, "I GAVE UP PIRATE HUNTING. I HAVE NO INTEREST IN YOU." Buggy looms in his pirate coat and hat, booming, "SO YOU'RE RORONOA ZOLO, EHI YOU MUST HAVE COME TO CAPTURE ME!" Buggy threatens, "BACK OFF BEFORE I PLUCK ALL YOUR FEATHERS. WELL, I AM INTERESTED IN YOU, KILLING YOU WILL BE A NICE FEATHER IN MY CAP." Zoro draws his sword and charges, shouting, "YOU ASKED FOR IT!" Buggy's crew cheers, "GIVE ME ALL YOU'VE GOT, PIRATE HUNTER, 'CAUSE I'M ABOUT TO GET A LOOK AT YOUR BLOOD!!! GET 'IM, CAP'N BUGGY! CUT 'IM TO PIECES!!" as Buggy swings his weapons with a massive "DOOM" impact and "JARR!" sound.

Buggy is sent flying backward from a powerful kick, limbs flailing with a large impact effect. Zoro lands the blow as Buggy's hat and weapons scatter. In the aftermath, crew members react with "HEH HEH..." and shock. One says, "NO WAY... THAT WAS TOO EASY!" Nami stares wide-eyed while Luffy grins excitedly, exclaiming, "HEY!"
