THE GROGGY MONSTERS

The Foxy Pirates celebrate wildly after their victory. A leopard-print crewmate shouts "GYAHHAHAH!!! NO ONE CAN BEAT THE FOXY PIRATES!!!!" while another yells "YOU'RE THE BEST, PORCH -----!!!" and "LET'S CLAIM OUR NEW CREW NOW!!!" Porche stands triumphantly atop a giant shark-shaped vehicle labeled "CUTIE WAGON!!!" raising her arms as confetti flies. A banner reads "THE WINNER IS..." and "ROUND 1 OF THE DAVY BACK FIGHT, DONUT RACE, HAS ENDED!" Luffy sits stunned nearby muttering "EH......" and "......" while the crowd cheers "HURRAY! THANKS FOR EVERYONE'S SUPPORT!" and "OUR IDOL, PORCH-CHAN, WON-----!!!" SFX include "わああああああ" and multiple "BI LAH" and "BOOM!" sounds. Onlookers ask "HEY, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUI" as defeated opponents lie on the ground.

Foxy looms with arms spread, declaring "IT'S TIME---- FOR YOU TO SAY GOODBYE TO ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS!!!!" while laughing "HOIHOIHOI HOIHOI- FUEHEHEHEHEHEH---!!" and making a "Foxy" gesture. Nami reacts in shock "NAMI- CHAN...I!" Luffy laughs "WAHA HAHA HAHA HAHA!" boasting "YEAH, YOU WERE *ABOUT TO* WIN, BUT YOU DIDN'T WIN... WE WERE ABOUT TO TAKE THE WIN..." Usopp panics "WAIT! SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED BACK THERE!" The crew stares at a distant dock marked "GOAL" as smoke rises. Someone asks "WE... REALLY LOST...!I" and "WHAT WAS THATI" while another calls "HEY! USOPP, NAMI, ROBIN, WHAT HAPPENED!I" A narration box states they came to welcome the crew back but everything stopped moving.

Nami realizes "I COULDN'T MOVE MY BODY... NO... ACTUALLY..." and "HM... WE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO WIN TOO... BUT AFTER THAT BEAM HIT US..." while a large panel shows the glowing "NORO NORO BEAM!!!" striking their boat. The crew notes "THE WAVE, TOO..." and "THE BOAT..." moved "VERY, VERY SLOWLY..." so they could not reach the goal in time. Spectators cheer "CHEERS!!!" and ask "WHAT DID YOU DO!I" and "ANY INJURIESI" Foxy appears on the beach firing another attack labeled "NORO PHOTON!I" while taunting "ASSHOLE! WHAT DID YOU DO TO NAMI-CHAN AND THE OTHERS!I" and laughing "FUEHEHE HEHEH---! THAT WAS TOO EASY." The crew wonders "...WE COULD MOVE, BUT EVERYTHING WAS GOING..."

Foxy's crew reacts in shock as he lectures about atoms and radiation. "WHAT KINDA CRAP ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, STUPIDI!" someone yells. Foxy continues, "IT IS AN ATOM THAT WAS NOT YET DISCOVERED BY THE SCIENTISTS. ANYTHING FROM LIFE-FORMS TO LIQUID AND AIR HIT BY ITS RADIATION... IT'S PHYSICAL VELOCITY WILL DECREASE DRASTICALLY!" He points dramatically. "THAT IS THE NORO PHOTON!!!" Luffy's group stands nearby on the beach, listening. Foxy declares, "ANYWAYS, ANYTHING IT HITS WILL SLOW DOWN." Hamburg cheers from the side, "HAMBOB!!!" Foxy strikes a pose, "BEHOLD! I SHALL DEMONSTRATE MY POWER!!!! HAH! AFTER EATING THE NORO-NORO FRUIT, I GAINED THE POWER TO EMIT THESE PHOTONS, AND I BECAME THE ALMIGHTY NORO-NORO MAN!"

Foxy fires his beam, "BEAM!!! NORO NORO..." The cannonball freezes mid-air. "ANYTHING HIT BY THE BEAM WILL SLOW DOWN DRAMATICALLY," Foxy explains. The ball hangs suspended. "THE CANNONBALL STOPPED IN MID AIR!I" someone exclaims. Foxy grins, "DO YOU DOUBT YOUR EYESI THE EFFECT LASTS FOR AROUND 30 SECONDS BEFORE THE OBJECT RESUMES ITS MOVEMENT. MOST HUMANS ARE IGNORANT OF THE SEA. WITH THIS, NOTHING IS A THREAT TO ME..." He laughs, "FUEHEHEHE!"

The slowed cannonball suddenly resumes and explodes violently. "BOSS!" Hamburg cries out. "MY NO..." Foxy's face twists in shock as the blast erupts. "BOOOOOM!" On the sidelines, the Straw Hats react. "ALL THAT MATTERS IS CROSSING THE FINISH LINE! WE DID IT FIRST, SO YOU LOST! NO EXCUSES!" someone shouts. "NO WONDER THOSE BASTARDS WERE SO CONFIDENT... THAT'S A REALLY DIRTY TRICK TO USE IN A RACE... DAMN... SO WHY WE LOST..." Sanji mutters. Foxy looms large, "THAT'S RIGHT. THE VICTOR OF ROUND 1... IS MY TEAM!!!"

The arena erupts as the first match ends. "NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED CREW SELECTION! THE FIRST MATCH HAS OFFICIALLY ENDED. IYAN! I PITY YOU, LOSERS!" Foxy announces. He points forward, "PLEASE PROCEED, BOSS... THE CAPTAIN OF THE WINNING TEAM WILL CHOOSE A CREW FROM THE LOSING TEAM." Foxy declares, "THE FIRST ONE THAT I WILL TAKE IS... YOU!!!!" The Straw Hats react in horror, "DAMN IT!!" "YOU!!!"

Tonytony Chopper screams in panic as the Groggy Monsters seize him. "TONYTONY, CHOPPER!!!" he yells, eyes wide with terror. The Foxy Pirates laugh and restrain the struggling reindeer. "STOP STRUGGLING!" one shouts while another cries "NOOO---CHOPPER!!!" Chopper wails "WAAAH---!!!!" A massive crewman with a spiked club looms over him. The female pirate coos, "You're more cuddly than I imagined ♥" while another adds, "Yeah--- you will make a wonderful pet---" and "IT'S SO CUTE!" The leader declares, "WHAT A GREAT PRIZE!!" Chopper continues to struggle desperately as they drag him away.

The Straw Hats react in shock. "WHAT!I THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR JOKES!!" Luffy yells. Nami questions, "HOPEFULLY NOT A COLLECTOR OF RARE PETS!I" as the crew realizes "THEY TOOK OUR FRIEND!" Foxy laughs "FUEHE-HEHE" and commands, "YOU MUST SWEAR YOUR ROYALTY TO ME! DR. CHOPPER, YOU ARE NOW ONE OF US... PUT ON THE MASK!" Chopper whimpers "Chopper..." and "GURI!" while the crew watches helplessly. Nami shouts "DAMN!!!!!" as Foxy continues, "A RARE PET INDEED..." The pirates celebrate their new acquisition.

On the deck of a large ship, Luffy points excitedly at a reindeer-like figure. "IT'S AN AMAZING TALKING REINDEER!!" he shouts. "COME, SIT NEXT TO ME, COMRADE! LET'S BE FRIENDS!" The figure replies nervously. Zoro stands with arms crossed. Sanji, Nami, Usopp, and Robin react with surprise and reluctance. "I ONLY WENT BECAUSE LUFFY ASKED!" Sanji says. Usopp adds, "I STARTED SAILING WITH YOU GUYS..." Nami states, "I DON'T WANT TO JOIN THESE PEOPLE!!!" while Robin remains silent. The crew debates their unwanted new situation as the ship sails on.

Zoro glares furiously at the crew. "YOU ARE DISGRACEFUL!" he growls. Luffy yells back, "SHUT YOUR MOUTH, CHOPPER!!" as the impact "DOHN" lands. Zoro turns away, hand on his swords. "IT WAS YOUR CHOICE TO GET A LIFE ON THE SEA," he says. "DEAD OR ALIVE, THE CHOICE WAS YOURS ALONE. DON'T BLAME IT ON OTHERS." He continues, "IF YOU ARE A MAN... IN THE PIRATE'S WORLD, TEARS WON'T GET YOU ANYTHING..." Usopp and the others watch from the ship in the background. The crew processes the harsh words as tension hangs over the deck.

A stern-faced man with earrings glares and declares, "QUIETLY WATCH THE GAME!!" and "THEN JUST SIT TIGHT, AND..." A small figure hunches over, sucking it up. Nearby voices react: "HE MUST FEEL TERRIBLE RIGHT NOW..." and "HOW COULD YOU SAY THATI!" The scarred man mutters, "MUCH BETTER..." A girl watches with wide eyes as the crowd erupts, "OOH!!" and "DO KAH!!" with loud impact sounds and cheering from the stands. The arena atmosphere grows tense as the game continues.

The crowd roars wildly. Voices shout, "YEAH, ZORO!! WIN BACK MY PRIDE NEXT ROUND!!!" "I'M SO TOUCHED THAT I SHED A TEAR! LOOK AT THE CORNER OF MY EYE!" "BOSS WILL PROBABLY CHOOSE HIM NEXT ROUND." "THAT SWORDSMAN SURE CAN TALK!!!" "WIN CHOPPER BACK!!!" A large man in a striped shirt laughs, "LET'S GET READY FOR ROUND 2..." Sanji appears tense as someone notes, "THE CONVERSION IS NOW FINISHED!" and "WE HAVE TO RETRIEVE OUR EMERGENCY FOOD FRIEND." The announcer continues, "THE RULE IS 'CANNOT EXCHANGE THE CONTESTANTS.' NO CHANGING WHATEVER!!!" while the crowd debates the strategy and Chopper's fate.

The announcer explains the rules: "IN OTHER WORDS, THE FOXY PIRATES ALSO HAVE TWO CONTESTANTS IN THIS MATCH IN THE BAG!" and "IN ROUND 2, GROGGY RING, AND TEAM STRAW HAT WHICH... WILL ONLY HAVE 2 CONTESTANTS!" A long-haired figure warns, "SHUT UP, YOU'RE THE UNNEEDED ONE, SEAWEED HEAD." The reply comes, "WHATEVER, NOT LIKE I NEED ANY OF YOU." The rules are laid out: "IN THE COURT, THERE ARE TWO GOALS ON EACH SIDE." "YOU WIN BY THROWING THE BALL INTO THE ENEMY'S GOAL." "HOWEVER, YOU WON'T BE USING A REGULAR RUBBER BALL." The final instruction: "SO FIRST, EACH TEAM MUST CHOOSE A PERSON TO BE THE BALL!" and "YOU'LL USE A PERSON!!!"

Tension rises as someone yells, "YOU GOD-DAMNED SEAWEED HEAD! WHY DO YOU GET TO DECIDEI!" The referee points and asks, "WHICH ONE OF YOU WILL BE THE BALLI" while declaring, "HERE." and "BALL SIGN!!" The crowd reacts with confusion. Entrance music plays as the announcer declares, "YOU ARE LISTENING THEIR ENTRANCE MUSIC... IT'S OUR RETURNING CHAMPIONS FOR THE GROGGY RING!!!" The Groggy Monsters enter the field to massive cheers: "THEY ARE THE GROGGY MONSTERS!!!" "NATURALLY, THEY HAVE GONE UNDEFEATED IN THE PAST." The massive creatures loom as the audience gasps, "WOW..."

The bell rings loudly as the announcer declares, "WITH THAT... THE 2ND ROUND, GROGGY RING IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!!" A small figure shouts, "IT'S RINGING THE BELL!!" while another exclaims, "IT'S ONE OF THE GROGGY MONSTERS!!" Luffy stares in shock, yelling "WHAT ARE THEYI!" as the crowd reacts with "WOW!!" and "HERE THEY ARE!!!" Chopper panics, "AAAAA EHH!!" and a voice cries, "FUE-HEHE-HEHE!! SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO KILL YOU!!" The massive trio known as the Groggy Monsters storms into the ring amid dust clouds and impact lines. The narration identifies them: "IN THE FRONT IS THE FOUR-HOOF-DRIVEN DASHER, HAMBURG!!" followed by "BEHIND HIM IS PICKLES, THE TACKLE DEMON!!" and "STANDING AT THE REAR IS THE HALF-GIANT, HALF-FISH, HALF-MAN 'BIG-BANG, THE WOTAN!!'" A spectator notes, "THEY ARE LITERALLY THE MONSTERS OF THE RING!" while Zoro watches intently from the stands. The enormous creatures charge forward with fierce expressions, their combined bulk shaking the arena as the second round of the Groggy Ring begins.
