SANJI ENTERS

A large seagull glides past the Going Merry as two smaller seagulls fly overhead; speech bubbles show the birds crying “クィッ”. The ship sails toward a floating restaurant on the open sea. From the crow’s nest, a voice shouts “BROTHER ZORO! BROTHER LUFFY! BROTHER USOPP! BROTHER NAMI! WE'RE HERE AT THE RESTAURANT!”. On deck, Luffy leans forward yelling “AHHH!”, Usopp pops up with a surprised “OH!”, Zoro glances sideways muttering “HMMI”, and Nami glares with irritation, asking “WHY AM I 'BROTHER'...”. A small “ドタン” sound effect accompanies the movement.

A massive fish-shaped ship floats on the open sea, its hull marked with the name BARATIE and a sign declaring RESTAURANT ON THE SEAS, BARATIE. Smoke rises from its chimneys as the vessel bobs on the waves. Below, the Straw Hat crew leans over the railing of their own ship, eyes wide with shock and excitement. Luffy, Nami, Usopp, and two other crewmates gape at the bizarre restaurant. Someone shouts, "THAT'S SO FUNKY!" Another cries, "WOW!" Usopp yells, "WHAT A HUGE FISH!" Luffy beams and calls out, "WHAT DO YOU THINK, EVERYONE!I"

A Marine warship suddenly looms into view beside the Baratie, its sails marked MARINE and its hull emblazoned with the word MARINE. The Straw Hats react in alarm. A voice blurts, "HUHI" Large impact lettering erupts as someone realizes, "IT'S... THE MARINES!" On the deck, Luffy, Nami, Usopp, and the others stare at the approaching vessel. Bottom panels show the crew's panic: "AH, SOMEONE'S COMING OUT!" "HEY! WE AIN'T PIRATES OVER HERE!" "THEY'RE NOT GOING TO ATTACK US NOW, ARE THEYI" "WHEN DID IT...I" A large sound effect "ゴオオオオ" rumbles as the ships draw close.

A tall marine in a pinstripe suit stands on the deck, staring at an unfamiliar pirate flag flying from a nearby ship. He mutters, "HMM, NEVER SEEN THAT PIRATE FLAG BEFORE..." A sign on his chest reads "MARINE HEADQUARTERS LIEUTENANT 'IRONFIST FULLBODY'." In the next panel Fullbody leans forward, metal-knuckled fist raised, and demands, "WHO'S YOUR CAPTAINI NAME YOURSELF." He introduces himself: "I'M THE LIEUTENANT OF THE MARINE HEADQUARTERS KNOWN AS 'IRONFIST FULLBODY.'" Luffy, wearing his straw hat, grins and answers, "I'M LUFFY." Usopp proudly adds, "AND I'M USOPP!" Three background crew members burst into laughter, one gasping, "AHAHA! GOOD ONE! H-HE SAID... THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY! HAHA!" while another wheezes, "I JUST FINISHED MAKING MY PIRATE FLAG THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY!"

Fullbody recognizes the two hooded men and says, "YOSAKU AND JOHNNY, I THINK YOUR NAMES WERE... SO YOU'VE FINALLY BEEN CAUGHT BY PIRATES, HAVE YOUI IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, YOU'RE... SMALL TIME BOUNTY HUNTERS. YOU FREQUENT THE GOVERNMENT OFFICES ON SOME BUSINESS. WAIT A MINUTE, I THINK I'VE SEEN YOU TWO BEFORE." Yosaku and Johnny bristle. Yosaku snaps, "WELL, WE CAN'T JUST LET SOME GUY WALK AROUND, CALLING US 'SMALL TIME.' THIS AIN'T GONNA NET US A SINGLE BELI, BUT I THINK WE OUGHTA TEACH THIS KID HOW TO KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT." Johnny adds, "HEY, YOSAKU, I THINK THIS BRO'S STICKING IT TO US." Fullbody's eyes widen in fury as he lunges forward, shouting "YOU COCKY LITTLE YUPPIE!!!" with heavy impact sound effects "ダン ダ ダ".

Two battered men sprawl on the wooden floor, sweat flying as one yells in frustration, "A-ALMOST HAD HIM...". On the Baratie deck, Luffy stands over three defeated pirates lying in a heap. A short-haired man demands, "THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOINGI" One upside-down pirate groans, "I-IT WAS A CLOSE ONE..." Another insists, "N-NO, IT'S JUST THAT GUY'S NOT TOO SHABBY HIMSELF." Luffy asks, "YOU SURE YOU GUYS AREN'T SUPER WEAKI" In a close panel, Sanji grips Fullbody's raised boot with one hand, eyes narrowed. Sanji warns, "BUT CONSIDER YOUR LIVES FORFEIT THE NEXT TIME YOU RUN INTO ME WHEN I'M NOT OFF-DUTY. CONSIDER YOURSELVES LUCKY PIRATES BECAUSE I'M ON BREAK TODAY. I CAME HERE TO EAT AT THE RESTAURANT." Fullbody smirks and replies, "AH YES, LET'S DO THAT." His date clings to his arm, heart floating above her head as she coos, "DARLING, ENOUGH BEATING UP ON WEAKLINGS, LET'S GET GOING ALREADY."

Aboard the Going Merry, Nami sits up holding a wanted poster while Johnny peers over her shoulder. Nami says, "THOSE'RE JUST THE BOUNTY POSTERS, SISTER." Johnny replies, "OH THATI" Nami leans forward on the bed, examining more posters as Johnny asks, "WHAT'S ALL THIS, JOHNNYI" She flips through the stack, sweat dropping, and mutters, "IS SOMETHING THE MATTERI" while crumpling one. Johnny explains, "IT'S JUST ANOTHER TYPE OF BUSINESS. KILL ANY ONE OF THEM AND YOU'LL GET THE BOUNTY REWARD WRITTEN IN THE POSTERS." Outside, a cannon fires with a loud "!!!!" A marine shouts, "YES, SIR!" as Fullbody orders, "SINK'EM." An explosion rocks the ship; someone yells, "THE BASTARD'S AIMING HIS CANNON AT US!" Another cries, "GUYS, WE'RE IN DEEP SHIT!" Luffy reacts with shock, "WHAT!I" while debris flies.

Luffy stretches his rubber body across the deck of the Baratie, shouting "GOMU GOMU NO..." as he inflates massively. A voice cries out, "Luffy, what're you doing!I" Another yells, "LEAVE IT TO ME!" The cannon fires with a massive impact. Luffy's body balloons outward dramatically as he declares, "BALLOON!!!" The enormous inflated form absorbs the cannonball. Luffy shouts, "YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CANNONBALL BACK!" as he launches it back. Onlookers react in shock: "WHA!I" and "THE HELL!I" with sweat flying and motion lines emphasizing the chaos.

A massive impact SFX "ドゴーン" shakes the scene as the Baratie restaurant ship looms in the background. An angry voice roars, "JUST WHO ARE YOU GIVING IT TO, YOU DUMBASS!I" Luffy is sent flying backward with limbs flailing. Nearby, a wide-eyed figure stares in disbelief. Sanji, seated at a table inside the restaurant, glares furiously with sweat drops. Below deck, Luffy crashes down hard onto the wooden planks. A blonde figure reacts with "UGH..." while clutching their head in frustration.

The Baratie restaurant ship floats on calm seas under a bright sky. Inside the elegant dining hall, patrons gossip while a marine lieutenant sits at a table. A heavyset man with a scar remarks, "LOOK HOW GRACEFUL HE IS..." A woman with short blonde hair adds, "LOOK, THE ONE SITTING OVER THERE IS LT. FULLBODY..." Another voice questions, "NO WAY, A MARINE LIEUTENANT IS EATING HEREI" Sanji, the blond waiter with a cigarette, leans in close to the blonde woman named Moodie as they toast with wine glasses. She says, "OH PLEASE, I'M SURE THEY'RE ALL LOOKING AT YOU." Sanji replies, "AMAZING, YOU'RE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION." In the next panel Sanji dramatically tastes the wine, swirling it and declaring, "AND THIS SLIGHT SOURNESS MIXED WITH A THICK, DRY TASTE... THIS WINE MUST BE... ITELZBULGER STEIN!" Moodie exclaims, "MM! THIS DELICATE SCENT! IT MUST BE FROM MICOLEOT OF THE NORTHERN LANDS!" A background customer asks, "AM I WRONG, WAITERI"

Sanji stands tall in his black suit, balancing a tray with one hand while holding a cigarette. He calmly tells the marine, "NOT EVEN CLOSE, SIR." In a close-up he continues, "OH AND BY THE WAY, I'M ACTUALLY THE ASSISTANT HEAD CHEF. I'M ONLY TEMPORARILY FILLING IN FOR THE WAITERS WHO ALL RAN AWAY YESTERDAY." A sign beside him reads "RESTAURANT ON THE SEA'S ASSISTANT HEAD CHEF SANJI". In the background another waiter serves soup, saying, "PLEASE ENJOY IT WHILE IT'S STILL HOT! HERE'S YOUR SOUP, SIR." Fullbody, the marine lieutenant, reacts with shock and anger, sweat flying as he shouts, "B-BUT HE WAS SO SURE OF HIMSELF! PFFT! HEY, DON'T LAUGH!" Other diners watch the commotion as Sanji remains composed.

A scarred man with an angry scowl glares and shouts, "THE HELL'S GOING ON!I I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE OWNER TO BRING OUT THAT WINE FOR ME!" At the table, a blonde woman in a black dress sips red wine and replies calmly, "AH, YES... BUT I THINK MY TONGUE'S A LITTLE OFF TODAY FOR SOME REASON... ABOUT WINE, I MEAN." She adds, "HMMI ARE YOU VERY KNOWLEDGEABLEI" Below, the Baratie restaurant lies in ruins with splintered wood and debris everywhere. A voice yells, "YOU THINK I'M ALRIGHTI ANYWAYS, ENOUGH YAPPING AND GET BACK TO WORK!" Another calls out, "OWNER, ARE YOU ALRIGHT!I" A pirate ship floats outside on the sea. At the bottom, only the lower bodies are visible: a peg-legged figure stands firm while a suited man protests, "ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME ANGRY!I" The peg-legged man retorts, "YOUR BODY'S...!" The other stammers, "B-BUT SIR!"

Zeff, the peg-legged head chef with a braided mustache and tall white hat, glares down and roars, "ARE YOU PLANNING ON RUINING MY RESTAURANT, YOU NUMBSKULLS!I" He continues, "IT'S A COOK'S DUTY TO KEEP HIS CUSTOMERS WELL-FED." In a side panel, the Baratie cooks bow and apologize frantically: "I'M SO SORRY, MISTER!" "THIS IS THE PERP!" "SIR! WE BROUGHT THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!" Zeff looms with his peg leg raised. Luffy, on the floor with mouth wide open in terror, screams at the top of his lungs, "YOU LOST YOUR FOOT BECAUSE OF ME! GYAAAAA!" Japanese sound effects of agony burst around him. A sign on the floor reads, "RESTAURANT OF THE SEAS' OWNER AND HEAD CHEF, ZEFF."

Inside the Baratie, Luffy sits on the floor facing Zeff, who lounges on a bench. Luffy promises, "I'LL MAKE IT UP TO YOU." Zeff replies, "SURE THING." A large speech bubble from Zeff states, "IF YOU GOT NO MONEY, THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO WORK IT OFF..." In a smaller panel, Zeff adds, "I'M STILL INJURED ALL OVER MY BODY THANKS TO YOU!" and notes the lost foot from long ago. Luffy reacts in shock with a close-up, shouting "O-ONE YEAR!I" Zeff, stern with braided beard and chain, declares, "YOU'LL WORK ODD JOBS AROUND MY RESTAURANT WITHOUT PAY FOR A FULL YEAR! ONLY THEN, I'LL FORGIVE YOU." On the Going Merry's deck, Usopp points and yells, "HEY, LET'S GO IN AND SEE HIM! WE COULD GET SOME FOOD WHILE WE'RE AT IT! WHADDYA SAY!I" Nami crouches nearby while Sanji lounges with hands behind his head, saying, "HE SHOULD JUST EXPLAIN THAT IT WAS ALL THE MARINE'S FAULT, THAT IDIOT'S TOO HONEST FOR HIS OWN GOOD... YOU DON'T THINK THEY'LL FORCE HIM TO WORK HERE FOR LIKE A MONTH OR SOMETHING, DO YOUI LUFFY'S SURE TAKING AWHILE..."

Sanji stands in the dining room with a surprised expression, exclaiming "HUHI" as a large panel shows him shouting "OOH WAITER!!!" with sweat drops and motion lines. In the next scene, Sanji leans toward a blonde woman customer with a charming smile, suggesting, "HOW ABOUT YOU AND I SHARE A GLASS OF WINE OVER THEREI" She replies, "WELL..." while touching her face. Sanji continues, "A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU, MISS. OUR SELECTION OF WINE IS EXCELLENT." At another table, Fullbody sits with the same woman, who now looks annoyed with crossed arms. Fullbody says, "MY, MY. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LADY WE HAVE HERE." She responds, "I ALREADY TOLD YOU I'M NOT A WAITER." A close-up shows Sanji smirking, thinking, "HEH HEH. I PUT THIS BUG IN THE SOUP MYSELF... THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR EMBARRASSING ME EARLIER ON...! I'M GONNA RUIN THIS RESTAURANT'S REPUTATION!" Fullbody points angrily at a bowl containing a fly, yelling, "IS IT CUSTOMARY FOR THIS RESTAURANT TO SERVE ITS SOUP WITH INSECTS!I" as the woman stares at the insect. Sanji reacts with "HEY!" while SFX like "ねぇ ねぇ" and "がゃ がゃ" appear in the background.

At the Baratie restaurant, Sanji stands before a Marine customer with a sly smile and cigarette in mouth. "BUT I'M AFRAID I DO NOT KNOW. I'M NOT VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE MANY TYPES OF INSECTS, YOU SEE..." he says politely. "PARDON ME, SIR..." The customer points at his soup bowl in shock. "AH... WHAT'S THIS DAMN BUG IN MY SOUP!I" A small fly floats in the broth. Sanji's expression darkens instantly as the surrounding diners react with surprise. In a sudden explosion of motion, Sanji delivers a powerful spinning kick that sends the Marine customer flying backward across the dining room. The customer screams "KYAAAA!!!" amid massive impact lines and debris as tables and chairs are overturned.

Sanji stands with a cold glare, cigarette smoke curling upward. The Marine customer, now furious and adjusting his uniform, growls, "SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH..." Sanji calmly offers, "CAN'T YOU STILL EAT THIS SOUP AS LONG AS I REMOVE THE BUGI" The Marine snaps, "WHAT DID YOU SAY!I" His date, Moodie, pleads desperately, "JUST FORGIVE HIM! FULLBODY, STOP!" The Marine roars back at Sanji, "FOR A DAMN COOK, AREN'T YOU QUITE FULL OF YOURSELF!I I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER!" Other Baratie staff rush in shouting, "STOP THE ASSISTANT HEAD CHEF SANJI!!" "AGH! WE HAVE TO STOP HIM!" Sanji stares him down and replies evenly, "CAN MONEY... FILL YOUR STOMACH UPI"

Inside the Baratie dining hall, Fullbody recoils in horror, hands over his face as he mutters "ん... FULL-BODY...". Sanji stands with his back to the viewer, cigarette smoke curling upward, his striped outfit torn and bloodied. A massive impact effect erupts behind him as he warns, "REMEMBER THIS... GOING AGAINST A COOK ON THE SEAS, IS TANTAMOUNT TO SUICIDE...". Diners watch from the background in shock. In a tight close-up, Sanji's intense glare fills the panel as he snarls, "DON'T YOU DARE WASTE FOOD..." while gripping a small fly between his fingers.
