IT IS THE TRUTH!!" The standing noble warns: "IF YOU HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD... THEN IT WILL AFFECT THE STANDING OF YOUR FAMILY HERE IN THE ELITE DISTRICT......AND YOU YOURSELF WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER... DON'T TELL ME THOSE BRATS HAVE THREATENED YOU NOT TO SAY ANYTHING THAT MIGHT IMPLICATE THEMI! THEY'RE NOT LIKE THAT!!!" The nobleman in the top hat leans forward and tells the boy, "You're a smart boy. I think I know what you do." The curly-haired boy stares back with wide eyes. The noble continues, "Sabo... the lives of those friends of yours from the trash heap are currently in the hands of the pirates. Pirates who do whatever I tell them. If you care about them as much as you say... it's time you thought long and hard about what will be best for them." The boy shouts back, "I won't deny my crimes! All three of us committed those offences......of our own free will...!!!" He adds desperately, "...You promised that you wouldn't do anything to either of them!! That's the only reason I came back here...!!!" The nobleman raises his glass with a servant and declares, "Starting today, we......are brothers!!" Later, the nobleman sits at a desk signing papers while a servant stands nearby. He says, "I'm sure it must be very difficult for you... I will see what I can do about the papers...!!!" The nobleman then tells the boy, "I'm sure you understand what I mean... yesI...Dear me. My son can say the most ridiculous things sometimes; it troubles me to no end..."

The grand mansion looms as the nobleman says, "Ah, but we can't have you tramping all that dirt about the house. We'll have to give you a good washing and disinfecting out in the garden. After that, you can have a proper bath." Another voice adds, "Let's get you inside, then, Sabo. I'm sure you're happy to be back in your own home. Welcome home, master." At the entrance, a woman in a dark dress greets him warmly: "Oh, my... Sabo!! You really have come home!" A small girl stands beside her. The woman continues, "And you have grown so much, hohoho!! Now then, Stelley!! Say hello to your brother!" The girl exclaims, "It is so good to see you safe and sound. There is still a distinct odour about you... Let's get you all cleaned up, young master." The boy stares in shock. The girl introduces herself brightly: "My name is Stelley, and I am eight years old. I have heard so much about you...! It's a pleasure to meet you, brother!!" The boy asks, "...Who's youI"

Inside the study, the nobleman explains, "So that even if your life does not turn out as planned... ah... As it would be a shame to let his promise go to waste, we took him in... However... due to certain unfortunate circumstances, his parents were unable to raise him any longer... He is our adopted son...!!! Naturally, he is of noble birth, and shows great promise." They'll be arriving here at the Goa Kingdom in three days' time." Sabo clutches his head in anguish as Stelley watches. He cries, "Don't you know how many people live out there on the trash heapI! They'd all lose their homes...!!! They make their whole damn living from the contents of that trash heap!!! Without that horrible trash heap, this country will be truly pristine! What do you think you're sayingI! They couldn't possibly do a thing like that!!"

A massive, sweating face looms in close-up, snarling, "...ALL THE FILTH THIS COUNTRY HOLDS! THEY'RE GOING TO BURN..." Nearby, a small boy with goggles and a straw-hatted child react in shock with "!!I" as the large man continues ranting. In the next panel the straw-hatted boy is grabbed and shaken while yelling, "...GET OFF ME!!...WERE YOU NOT LISTENING TO WHAT I JUST SAIDI" The large man, eyes wide, retorts, "...F...FINE, THEN!!" while a frantic voice shouts, "BROTHER!! HEY!! HEY!!!" and another cries, "HEY!!! WH... WHERE ARE YOU GOINGI!!" A figure clings to a rooftop shouting, "DON'T YOU KNOW HOW HIGH UP... THIS FLOOR...I!!!" The large man stares in disbelief, "...I! YOU DON'T MEAN... EVEN THE PEOPLEI!!" Below, Sabo stands among cloaked figures as Bluejam's men discuss their plan: "THEY'RE IN THE PROCESS OF LAYING OUT THE OIL AND EXPLOSIVES ACROSS THE TRASH HEAP FOR US RIGHT NOW..." One man states, "OH, EVERYTHING'S PERFECT ON OUR END... THE ONLY ISSUE IS THOSE PIRATES. WHO KNOWS IF THEY'LL BE UP TO THE TASK OF BURNING ALL THAT TRASH..." Another confirms, "IS EVERYTHING READY FOR TOMORROW'S OPERATIONI THERE MUST BE ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM FOR ERROR!!" Sabo listens tensely, thinking, "IT'S REALLY TRUE...!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT... Nobles converse on a balcony: "VERY TRUE, YOUR MAJESTY. ACCIDENTS COULD EASILY HAPPEN IN THIS WIND. WE WILL HAVE TO TAKE CARE TO AVOID UNFORTUNATE FIRES AND THE LIKE." Another adds, "INDEED IT IS, YOUR MAJESTY. THE WIND IS STRONG TODAY..." In the streets a noble panics, "A FIRE AT THE TRASH HEAP TONIGHTI" A furious man with a scar roars, "HE WON'T BE ABLE TO LEAVE THIS DISTRICT THAT EASILY!!! DAMN THAT USELESS SON OF MINE...!!! FIND HIM!! SEARCH THE ENTIRE ELITE DISTRICT!! SABO IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUNDI!!" Later, a cloaked figure tells two children, "THE BIG JOB GOES DOWN TONIGHT. GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN, LITTLE ONES..." One child replies, "HE!! I KNOWS!!!" The scarred noble questions a small boy, "WHERE DID YOU COME FROM, ANYWAY, LITTLE BOYI" The boy answers, "WELL, YES, OF COURSE I KNOW ABOUT THAT. WHAT ABOUT ITI"

The scarred noble continues, "WE WOULDN'T WANT PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF THE ELITE DISTRICT TO FIND OUT ABOUT IT, NOW, WOULD WE...I" The boy replies, "...BUT I DON'T THINK THAT'S SOMETHING YOU SHOULD GO MAKING A FUSS ABOUT." The noble insists, "WE ARE A SPECIAL BREED. IF YOU ARE FROM A NOBLE FAMILY, YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT..." while another voice asks, "WELL, YES... I CERTAINLY DO KNOW ABOUT THE FIRE TONIGHT..." Suddenly Ace appears, screaming in panic, "ACE...!!! LUFFY...!!! THIS WHOLE DISTRICT IS INSANE...!!! THEY ALL KNOW THAT ALL THOSE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE KILLED... YET THEY JUST GO ON WITH THEIR LIVES...!!!" He spots Sabo and shouts, "IT'S THE RUNAWAY!! OVER THERE! ISN'T THAT HIMI!" Sabo yells back, "YOUNG MAN...I" A figure warns from above, "YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE TRASH HEAP!! OF THE TRASH HEAP!!! TONIGHT, THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY... ARE GOING TO BURN ALL THE 'FILTH' OF THE TRASH HEAP TO THE GROUND!!!" Sabo stares in horror as the warning continues.

A scarred pirate captain snarls at a boy, "KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN, YOU STUPID KID... WHAT IF THE PEOPLE FROM THE TRASH HEAP HEARD YOUI" Another voice roars, "BURN THE TRASH HEAP TO THE GROUND!!!" Luffy, eyes wide with fury, is grabbed by the shirt by a larger boy in a tank top while the captain's men loom behind them. The boy holding Luffy yells, "THIS IS BAD!! WE'VE GOTTA TELL THE GUYS FROM THE TRASH HEAP!! THESE PIRATES ARE BAD GUYS AFTER ALL!!!" Luffy struggles and shouts back, "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO KEEP QUIET...! HOLD THEM DOWN, MEN!!...IT'S NOT AS THOUGH I'M THE ONE BEHIND THIS, YOU KNOW." The captain explains coldly, "THE BOXES YOU'VE BEEN LAYING AROUND THE TRASH HEAP THESE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS ARE FILLED WITH OIL AND EXPLOSIVES. THEY'LL CAUSE A FIRE SO LARGE THAT NO HUMAN STANDS A CHANCE OF ESCAPE." Close-ups show the captain's men pressing the boys: "YOU WOULDN'T HAPPEN... TO HAVE A STASH OF TREASURE HIDDEN AWAY SOMEWHERE AROUND HERE, WOULD YOUI" "BEFORE WE SET THE PLACE ALIGHT... THERE'S SOMETHING I'VE GOT TO ASK THE TWO OF YOU." "LOOK!! UP IN THE NORTHERN SKY!!" "IS THAT... FIRE...I" "HEY... TAKE A LOOK OUT THERE... WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE TRASH HEAP...I!!!" A man points toward Mount Colubo as smoke rises. "IS IT COMING FROM THE CITY...I" Panic spreads through the Central District. "THAT MASSIVE, HUMID MOUNTAIN OF TRASH HAS CAUGHT ALIGHT...I!!" "WH... WHAT'S GOING ON OUT THEREI! IT'S LIKE... A GIANT BUSHFIRE!!!" "THIS IS UNPRECEDENTED...!!!" People flee in terror as one man yells, "THAT'S THE GREY TERMINAL...!!! IT'S ON FIRE!!"

"THE PATH TO THE FOREST IS ABLAZE AS WELL!!!" "THE PATH TO THE COAST IS BLOCKED COMPLETELY!!!"

Bluejam stands atop a burning structure, arms spread wide. "WE WILL ALL BE GRANTED HONOURS BY THE KING HIMSELF, AND BE WELCOMED INTO THE ELITE DISTRICT AS NOBLES!!!" Flames roar across the trash heap as Luffy and Ace, bound tightly with ropes, struggle amid the inferno. A voice cries out, "YOUR MAJESTY!!!" Luffy shouts desperately, "IF YOU'RE GONNA KEEP CRYING ABOUT EVERYTHING, I'LL LEAVE YOU BEHIND!!!" Ace yells back, "OKAY...!! IT'S NOT HOT AT ALL!!" Nearby figures panic: "UGH...!! HOW DID WE GET OURSELVES MIXED UP IN THIS MESSI!!" "HOT!! SO HOT!!! WHERE ARE WE MEANT TO RUNI!!" "ALL RIGHT!! I'VE CUT THE ROPE!!" The boys tumble free as the blaze intensifies. A cloaked figure in a tall hat points his staff and shouts, "RUN FOR IT!!!" and "ACE!! LUFFY!!" Townspeople yell, "LOOK... THERE'S A KID WHO STILL HASN'T EVACUATED!!" "GET HIM TO SAFETY!!!" The figure confronts an old man who pants, "OLD GUY...!! *PANT*... THE ONES BEHIND... THIS FIRE... ARE THE ROYALS... AND THE NOBLES...!! *PANT*... YOU'VE GOTTA BELIEVE ME..." The cloaked man asks, "...WHAT TROUBLES YOU, BOYI" The old man collapses as smoke billows. The cloaked figure declares, "IF I STAY HERE...!! I'LL NEVER BE FREE...!!" while thinking, "THERE'S SOMETHING IN THIS DISTRICT THAT STINKS WORSE THAN THE TRASH HEAP EVER DID...!! THE PEOPLE OF THIS DISTRICT ARE ROTTEN ON THE INSIDE!!!" Explosions and debris fill the chaotic streets.

A sweating noble vomits and cries, "...SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DRIVEN THIS INNOCENT CHILD TO SAY...!! KINGDOM OF GOA!!...I'M SO ASHAMED... TO HAVE BEEN BORN A NOBLE...!!" The cloaked figure responds to the old man, "OLD GUY... YOU REALLY BELIEVE ME...I" The old man answers, "BUT I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE POWER... TO CHANGE THE WAYS OF THIS LAND...!!" and "YES... I WILL NOT FORGET YOUR WORDS." The cloaked man says, "OH, I UNDERSTAND... I TOO WAS BORN HERE IN THIS COUNTRY...!!" Elsewhere, a voice reports, "DRAGON...!! I'VE HAVE COMPLETED THE PREPARATIONS...!!" Dragon replies, "...GOOD." Luffy and Ace sprint through the burning ruins, Luffy gripping a pipe and yelling, "RUN FOR IT!!! LUFFY!!!" as massive explosions erupt around them.
