- In this chapter we see Buggy telling Shanks that Teach has supposedly never slept in his entire life already at a young age. This establishes that the sleeping anomaly existed long before Teach had either of the DF's that he currently possesses, which I speculate could mean that the reason why he was in search for the yami fruit was to allow him to exploit an abnormality that already existed within him (special constitution).We see Blackbeard hiding himself and Whitebeard in a black cloth, where he later emerges with 2 DF's, pointing towards some unknown process and constitution that Blackbeard has access to.
